Salim's P.O.V: Once Sly has returned with the suit I gave to him and a piece of paper ,I then hear him say to me that thanks to my thief costume ,he was able to locate my thief brothers and has discovered potential in that costume through walking past solid objects, to which I tell him "ah but that is one of the potential powers this suit holds ,for it can also show you the future, make you invisible ,defy gravity ,and especially slow down time" the young pup was then amazed at what I have said about the suit ,he then replies in amazement "wow it can make me do all that, I cant believe what I'm wearing can actually do stuff like this, why did you get rid of it in the first place?"

Being old yet wise I then explain that the suit the genie gave me indeed granted me powers that is true, but soon when I started to where it more and more often I soon felt its powers affect me,then one day without that suit when I was stealing the sultans palace with priceless treasure, right when the palace gates almost locked me in as I was making an escape, I soon discovered myself already far away from the palace with the jewels in my hand, and behind me was a trail of flames, I soon that's when I realized that I have gained the ability of speed ,and soon I then taught myself how to control this speed while I was out on some heist with my fellow thief brothers.

"That would explain how you got so fast in climbing up ropes and sneaking past guards back then" young Sly says, to which I answer "yes yes this is how I have been able to perform other thieving skills as well, such as the ones learned by my ancestor Slytenkhamen, but how did you know I do such a thing?" To which he answers me what he said when we met ,that he is an ancestor who has come from the future ,to rescue the Cooper family from vanishing from history ,and believed that the source of the trouble came from my time ,to which I reply "I do not see the resemblance, but I will allow the assistance until the elephant is taken care of" to which me and him agree on ,before miss Carmelita comes in with a large pot, saying "alright everyone dinner is ready" to which everyone including myself sits at the main table, and enjoy some of the finest chicken spaghetti she has ever made.

Soon after lunch, Bentley has me sent on a rescue assignment much to my dismay, as I then make my way to the first location, I receive a call from Bentley through a tiny contraption, as he says to me "alright Salim, in order for us to enter the tower "The Panther" is in ,we will instead be taking a shortcut through the local carpet shop next door, in order to avoid most of the traps waiting inside" I then start to explain to him about the shop, saying "ah yes ,Honest Hassan's carpets. I remember that he owns many, many shops. But he is not so honest. In fact, we used to run a flying carpet scam together where he would pretend to be the genie ,and I would be the random customer who falls for the said product!"

"I would love to hear that story Salim really, but we're running out of time here" Bentley says impatiently, as he continues saying "anyways there is a small vent you can crawl through located on the left side of the shop, all you have to do is survive what remaining obstacles are inside until you tower, then once you find "The Panther" ,I will explain in more detail what to do next" afterwards however I find myself yawning at this plan, saying "you make it sound so easy ,I would like to see you crawl through vents and survive dangerous traps when you are my age!" I say, before I turn off the strange device and enter the shop through the way Bentley described to me.

Once inside I then begin to wonder if this Bentley will have me jumping through hoops next, before I notice what was inside which happened to be littered with snake infested ropes, baboon type guards searching for me from above, and many many ancient traps ,and seeing all this made me say to myself "it looks like the best time to perform my old lightning cobra technique" Bentley ,who calls me yet again ,then asks what it was ,to which I answer him "this is the technique that consists of 3 stages my friend ,allow me to show you my 1st stage" and seeing the rope that leads me to the 2nd floor to the next room ,riddled with snakes it was most definitely needed.

Once I got a hold of the rope that is when I performed me 1st stage of the lightning cobra ,that being the climbing cobra, where I climb the charmed rope in complete speed up to the second floor, and got off without getting attacked by approaching, snakes the proceeding to the next room, and by Aladdin's beard it was very different from when I was younger, but as rule number 37 in the thieves handbook has read: expect the unexpected, foresee the unforeseen, predict the unpredictable.

I then get another word from Bentley, as he explains to me "alright, it seems to me that according to my analysis on this place, there seems to be an old secret passageway through the floor in this room ,but the problem is that we don't know where exactly" I then exclaim in offense "what is with this "we" business? it seems that I'm the one doing all the work!"

But lucky for him ,I knew exactly what to do, this room my have changed from when I was younger, but I do know one thing and that is how I shall be entering the secret passage. Once I saw what was above the passage, which was a pallet of carpets, and where the rope it was being pulled up from started, it was official that I introduce Bentley to stage 2 of the technique: the striking fang, starting where I stand, I then target the rope then after I muster enough magic to my cane, that is when I begin to charge at the rope full speed like lightning, strike it, and drop the Pallet onto the floor revealing the passage way before I enter it.

Then as I make my way to the tower through the passage way, I then came across more ropes to climb, but as I climb to the top of where it leads only to discover thousands of turning and mashed together devices which Bentley names gears, then before I knew it I was now inside the tower hallway ,where I found more and more guards just waiting to capture me, in-between the room where "The Panther" awaits me is right across from where I stand ,and a good thing the guards where too busy patrolling to notice me, the perfect opportunity to perform the last step of the technique: the silent slither, it is where I quickly run past one guard after another getting past them as simple as that as I speed up the staircase, and they never even figure it out.

Then after I get through every single guard as quietly as possible, I finally reach the room "The Panther" was in, and what I saw when I got inside was a rat sitting on lots of colorful pillows (I wish I was ,let alone sleep on one) wearing nothing but a turban ,this was indeed "The Panther" but something was indeed wrong with him when I saw him, he was just sitting there swaying his head back and forth ,over the sound of music being played on a some sort of machine Bentley names a record player, and aside from all that ,when I call his name he does not even pay any attention to me.

"What in great Ali Baba's name is wrong with you?" I ask "The Panther", only for Bentley to answer my question saying "your friend is in a kind of hypnotic trance. It must be that record player that's the source of it, I've seen something like this once before, in Prague. Except this hypnosis is in the form of music" I then ask Bentley what a record player was, and he respond saying "oh its a sort of device that will allow you to listen to music played on a big circle called a record" I was then fascinated at first, but when he mentions how its being misused on my thief brother, I say "then this means all hope is lost?"

"No we just need to disable it before we free him ,however we need to be careful, otherwise we risk turning his brain into jelly" hearing this while I carefully pay close attention now to the record player, I ask "What is this jelly you speak of?" his answer was "its a food ,almost like baba ghanoush or hummus but fruity" hearing this I reply "it must be delicious?" only for Bentley to answer, saying "oh it is ,and it is really good on toast " again I ask ,saying "what is this toast you speak" to which he answers "oh its bread, that's been slightly roasted and its very crunchy ,making the jelly more satisfying and at times, we use a toaster to make the toast" in which I ask "a toaster?"

Penelope then interrupts our conversation saying "enough with the toast talk already ,we're here to save "The Panther" remember?" To which I then hear Bentley reply "oh yes ,I almost forgot thank you Penelope" before I then hear Penelope say to me "alright Salim ,just take out the device I gave you and install it to the record player, and I'll do the rest" and after I do so ,I waited for 2 minutes before I noticed that she managed to turn off the device ,thus releasing "The Panther."

"My brother, are you alright?" I ask him, as he then stirs out from his hypnosis then asking me "where am I?" Only to answer him saying "you have been imprisoned, hypnotized, and compelled to create forgeries by that evil elephant, but I have freed you with some outside assistance of course" and he simply answers "that's nice, I'm hungry did you bring me anything to eat? Perhaps some nice roasted scorpion claws, or maybe some camel milk?" I was both irritated and annoyed as I reply "amazing, I risk my hump to rescue you, and you expect me to feed you? Ugh why do I bother?" As I then have him come with me back to the hideout.

After returning to the hideout after I introduce him to the others as my assistance, he then replies "yes, yes hello, nice to meet all of you, where are the scorpion claws?" to which I then take out one of the boxes filled with scorpion claws meant for him already roasted, as he then helps himself to as many as he can ,stuffing his entire face with them while I then turn to Bentley, asking him "speaking of food, why don't you show me now what this toast with jelly looks like?" Only for young Vincent to answer for him explaining to me how toast is made.

Here is what he said "oh its really good, here I'll make one for you, first off you'll need a toaster, some bread ,and some jelly" as he then pulls out the following items, and seeing the shiny box Vincent calls a toaster, I was then fascinated by it as I then ask "my what an interesting little device, how does it work?" Vincent then demonstrates it to me saying "its easy first you put in two pieces of bread into each slot ,then push the little lever on the side, and wait for the bread to be baked" as I pay very close attention to the bread inside ,I failed to notice "The Panther" stand beside me, also interested in this form of food.

Then after a minute, there was a strange dinging sound that came from the toaster, while the bread then automatically pops out of it, frightening me and "The Panther" as he then came to a conclusion about the toaster, saying "we displeased it!" Only for Vincent to then say to us "oh no its OK guys ,its supposed to do that it tells us that the toast is ready" then taking out the cooked sliced breads from the machine with a napkin ,before placing it on a plate before us, then saying "and finally we put a little jelly on it to give it that sweet taste" then taking out some sort of red goop from a jar with a tiny knife, and spreading it all over the bread, before saying "and the toast is done" as we then see before us, two pieces of roasted bread barely covered in red sticky goop.

"That's it?" asks "The Panther" only for Vincent to answer saying "yup ,now all you do is eat it" I then extend my hand over to the slightly hardened bread, taking it while being extremely careful not to drop it, and slowly bring it to my mouth, once I do so that's when I took a small bite out of the bread with jelly ,then slowly chewing it until it was ready to be swallowed ,afterwards that's when I suddenly felt the sweet taste of the squished strawberries mixed with bread enter my taste buds, as I then reply "this is supremely delicious ,I feel like I just went to heaven" before I finished the toast completely ,as I then feel the taste of its contents in my mouth "quite the best delicacy I have ever had in weeks" I say with glee.

Envious "The Panther" then takes the other roasted bread with jelly ,saying "let me try one!" Before he then eats it like a snake with a mouse, before concluding "my goodness, this is good what did you say it was called again Salim?" Turning to me to ask this, as Vincent replies "its called toast and jelly ,mom taught me and my sis how to make it" then "The Panther" then asks this young lad anxiously "will it taste better with scorpion claws?" Before he replies "uh..Well I don't-" instead of listening however ,"The Panther" decided to make another one ,this time adding scorpion claws onto the jelly lying on the bread before eating it.

Afterwards he then felt the satisfaction with sweetness of the jelly added with his favorite food, as he then turns to young Vincent saying "this toast you speak of is really delicious, do you have anymore bread so we can make more?" Only for Bentley to then interrupt his question to Vincent ,saying "I'm afraid we're gonna have to hold off on grocery shopping for a bit ,until we rescue the other 2 thieves and bring Ms. Decibel to justice" disappointing "The Panther" and I ,as I then ask "alright what's the next assignment?"

Only for all of us to then gather around to hear Bentley's next step, saying "well Salim while you where rescuing Sir Eats-a-lot here, Penelope and I decided to find the other 2 thieves by splitting up into 2 groups, consisting by gender us guys Sly ,Murray, and myself will be rescuing "The Tiger" from his imprisonment in the caverns downtown ,while you Salim since you know this city better than any of us, will be paired with the ladies Carmelita, Katrina, and Penelope on finding "The Lion" uptown" he then speaks with the entire gang ,saying "and when you arrive to said destinations ,Penelope and I will be giving further directions on what we need to do" I then ask Bentley what he wants "The Panther" to do ,only for Bentley to then have both Vincent and Alyne watch over him during our absence, before ending his instructions saying "alright gang lets go spread some freedom" before we separate into our separate groups ,to begin our respective assignments.
