I do not own Stargate Universe or any elements of the Stargate Franchise
Review Response =
PascalDragon = Not at all, I like getting honest opinions as long as it isn't just people flaming me for no good reason. Maybe I have made Claire a bit too powerful as a character; but Claire has been trained by the members of SG-1, the Tok'ra (a bit during her time with them) and is a genius in her own right. It seems to me like she would be seriously capable. As for the Ascension thing well she was trained by Daniel Jackson, who passed on to her what he could about the subject. As for my writing style I can only apologise, I struggle with Grammar sometimes. As for stripping the ship, oh no something else is planned for Destiny
davycrockett100 = Thank you very much, I appreciate the compliment.
Victor Bobier = Glad to see you like the story
Assassin Master Uzumaki = I feel a bit sad too since this story is one I've been writing for a while. I might just cross this story over with Doctor Who as soon as I figure out how to do it since I am a major Doctor Who fan.
Chapter 36 – Reconnecting
"And here we go." Claire said and she finished replacing the navigation star charts with the newer ones from Atlantis. She was doing it on the bridge so she could triangulate their position in the galaxy straight after. Vanessa and TJ were sitting on the bridge with her, and calling up a holographic screen like the one in the interface room, Claire put up an image of the Pegasus galaxy. It only took a few moments for the computer now that it had up to date star charts to analyse the local area and determine their position. On the holographic screen a bright light pulsed on the eastern edge of the galaxy like Claire had predicted. Then another light pulsed closer to the core.
"And there's Atlantis." Vanessa said with a smile which was shared by her two friends. Vanessa herself was feeling almost giddy at the chance of seeing her family in the flesh again, TJ who was getting a temporary break from Carman by leaving her with her father was imagining her family meeting her daughter and her unofficial husband for the first time. Claire was excited to finally see Sam and her other friends again but she was still filled with doubt, what would Sam think of her? Would she be let down by Claire's performance? That caused her smile to dim a little but then Vanessa put her hand on her back and almost if reading Claire's mind which she would actually be capable of in a couple of months. TJ had taken a look at their DNA using the doctor beds and discovered that Claire was roughly seventy percent Ancient right now, Vanessa was only about twenty percent.
Recently Claire had begun experimenting to see what she could do with these new abilities. She had tried to read the minds of the people around her and without pressing harder could read surface thoughts. She had managed to make a few things hover around her with telekinesis and heal a few minor cuts and bruises left over from their encounter with the tribe a couple of days ago.
Claire calculated the correct co-ordinates and in put them into the navigation computer and engaged the hyperdrive. The ship opened the green portal and leapt into the swirling vortex, on a two day trip to Atlantis. After leaving the ship in Vanessa's capable hands with Kathy and Lisa helping, Claire ventured down to the science lab where she had modified a laptop and a few components from Destiny to read the data crystals they had discovered on the 'savage' planet. She engaged the interface after checking the connections and power flow one last time. The crystals lit up gently as energy was carefully fed into them and the screen in front of her, data began appearing.
"Wow." Claire said as she looked, impressed by the content she was seeing.

Two Days later…
In the control room of Atlantis, Richard Woolsey filled with tension was standing by the controls that his technicians were working frantically to raise the shield.
"Status?" Woolsey asked wondering why he had accepted this job sometimes and one of them reported.
"The shield generators still won't engage, the sabotage done by the Vanir is still interfering. Doctor McKay is working on it." Woolsey gritted his teeth in frustration at the situation they were in. A week ago, the Vanir an offshoot of the Asgard had attacked the city hoping to steal the ZPMs but thanks to Colonel Sheppard and his team the attack had been defeated but as of yet they still couldn't undo whatever the Vanir had done to the city's shields. Worse, the Wraith had just shown up with four hive ships.
He turned to the communications operators and told the young man.
"Open a channel to the Daedalus and Ark Royal." The technician nodded and Woolsey said. "Colonel Sobel, Group Captain Bosworth we still can't raise the shields. I need you to head off the hive ships while we keep trying." Woolsey was wondering secretly if the two ships could manage to buy them enough time to get the shield back up and clung to hope that Doctor McKay would manage to pull off enough miracle.
"Understood Atlantis, moving to intercept." Sobel on Daedalus told him over the comm, the female Colonel was still new to her position and felt nervous about leading her ship into action, and she was still put off from visiting Atlantis by the looks AR-1 were giving her. Like she was a ghost or something.
In the space above the city, the two Earth starships moved to intercept the hive ships. The Ark Royal was alongside the Daedalus making it easy to see the similarities and differences between the two vessels. The Ark Royal was twice the size of the Daedalus and the two vessels had a similar shaped hull but the geometry of both ships was very different. While the hull of the X-304 was bulky with flat edges and bits jutting out of the hull, the X-305 had much smoother lines and curves with fewer parts jutting out of the hull. This allowed the currents of hyperspace to flow more easily over and around the ship and decrease resistance instead of increasing it when the currents hit the flat edges. This simple change reduced energy consumption by thirty five percent and also increased the ship's speed at hyperspace by twenty five percent. Claire Williams had been responsible for this simple innovation when conducting tests aboard Odyssey another X-304 and an Alkesh that the SGC had captured. She had seen how the designs of the different shaped hulls had made it easier or harder to achieve the same kind of speed without a more efficient hyperdrive or greater energy source. While on the design team of the X-305, Claire had managed to convince her superiors of this simple change and the results had spoken for themselves, as the Ark Royal in the field tests at hyperspace was able to move faster than any other Earth starship. When it had been proven effective, a similar hull shape had been approved for the X-306 destroyer.
When in range both starships fired their Asgard energy weapons and launched their X-302s while their railguns started up to shoot down the darts that the hive ships began to deploy. The X-302s then began dogfighting with the darts as they weaved around each other in a swirling combat. Then the Hive ships started firing their own energy weapons which impacted on the shields of the earth ships.
On the bridge of the Ark Royal, Group Captain Gerald Bosworth sat in the command chair confident in both his crew and himself. Many would call him a stiff and unyielding man but he was in reality just totally focused on his duty, most of the people serving with him on this ship had been handpicked by him for their ability and dedication. He had absolute faith in them to succeed and suppressed his own feelings of tension about going into battle under a firm grip given to him by his family's military upbringing going back nearly ten generations.
He took a quick moment to look around him, the bridge and interior design of his ship where almost identical to the design used in the X-304 but there was more of it. Gerald himself was a man in his late thirties with dark hair and a moustache, his air force jacket open with his rank insignia and name badge proud. He turned to his weapons officer Lieutenant Decker, a young man in his twenties and told him.
"Ready a nuclear warhead and load it. Open a hole in their hull with the Asgard beam and then fire the warhead right into it."
"Aye sir." Decker answered and he focused the beam on one specific area of the hive ship's hull, quickly opening a large breach and then fired the nuke straight into it. Entering the hole in the alien ship before detonating, rupturing the ship from the inside. It was blow apart instantly.
Back in Atlantis, Woolsey watched as his two ships fought off and destroyed one of the hive ships while he called Colonel Sheppard to the control centre. He arrived accompanied by Teyla and Ronan and asked.
"Any progress in getting the shield up yet?" Sheppard asked and Woolsey gave him a grim look.
"No, McKay is still working on it. Get to the control chair Colonel, if those hive ships get any closer, I need you to shoot them down." Woolsey told him and Sheppard nodded and was about to rush off to the neural control chair when one of the technicians, this one assigned to the long range sensors interrupted and told them.
"Sir we have a new contact coming in, really fast."
"More Wraith?" Ronan asked his hand going towards his pistol at the mere thought of a Wraith and the technician replied confused.
"No too fast."
At the battle site where Earth forces were fighting it out with the Wraith, both sides saw the arrival of a large starship. As big as a Hive Ship, it was dark brown colour and on its bridge, the people quickly realised what they had stumbled into.
"Raise Shields, power weapons." Colonel Yong told his crew as they worked at their stations. Claire sitting at the weapons did as she was told and prepared the ship for battle. "Helm take us in, three quarters sublight." Vanessa at navigation carried out her orders. Finally the Colonel turned to Brody at the other station and told him. "Open a channel to Atlantis."
"Done." Brody said so the Colonel sent his message.
"Atlantis this is Destiny we are moving to assist." Young with the discipline his training and experience gave him suppressed any concerns and around him he saw crew doing the same.
On Atlantis, Woolsey let out a breath that he hadn't realised he was holding and answered feeling much relieved.
"Understood, Colonel Young your timing is impeccable."
"Glad to be of service." Colonel Young said back and turned to Claire. "Target the nearest hive ship and fire the main battery."
"Aye sir." Claire said and the main battery deployed as she worked the controls. It locked onto the nearest hive ship and fired. The blue coloured bolts of energy slammed into the hull of the alien ship and breached the hull.
"Again." Colonel Young ordered and Claire began firing the main weapon again and again till the damage became too great for the hull to take and the ship exploded into a massive fire ball. The darts then started to descend on Destiny and Claire told them what she was going to do.
"Diverting power from subspace capacitor to shields, arming all batteries." Extra energy was channelled into the ship's shield and all over its hull, small double or triple barrelled weapon emplacements deployed. As soon as the darts came into range, the energy batteries let loose, firing at the fast moving targets bringing them down with one shot each. The darts retaliated by firing their own energy weapons which impacted on the hull.
"Shields holding." Vanessa reported as they came into range of another hive ship which turned to bring its own energy weapons to bare but Claire fired the main weapon, striking the Wraith ship hard. Meanwhile, Daedalus and Ark Royal were double teaming the other hive ship which struggled to resist the combined fire power of the two earth ships. The hive ship managed to get a few shots off impacting on Destiny's shields.
"Shields down to eighty percent." Vanessa reported just as Claire found the kill shot and finished off the hive ship. A moment later, the other two ships finished off the last Hive ship, leaving only the darts. Destroying all of them took another ten minutes but eventually they too were destroyed.
The battle now over, the Daedalus commander Colonel Sobel contacted Destiny.
"Thank you for the assistance Destiny, moving to escort you to Atlantis."
"Roger that Daedalus. It's good to be here." Colonel Young told her.

Under escort of the USS Daedalus and the HMS Ark Royal, Destiny flew gracefully into orbit of the planet where Atlantis was stationed. Making a stable orbit, the ship moved around the planet as it came into beaming range of the City of the Ancients, leaving Rush in charge; Colonel Young, Camille, Major Todd, Claire, Matt, Chloe, Eli, TJ and Kathy all prepared to beam down to the city. Everyone was nervous, getting more anxious as if this was all a dream and the time to wake up was slowly approaching.
"We're ready." Lisa told them, feeling disappointed that she wasn't going, visiting Atlantis was always an irresistible opportunity like going on missions with SG-1 back in the Milky Way.
"Do it." Colonel Young said and Lisa activated the transporter. They all disappeared from the gate room on Destiny and reappeared in the control/gate room of Atlantis. They all took a second to readjust and saw the glorious architecture of the city around them, facing them on the stairs leading to the control part of the room was Richard Woolsey in his Atlantis uniform with the famous AR-1; Colonel John Sheppard, Teyla, Ronan and Doctor Rodney McKay and behind them was Doctor Jennifer Keller.
"Welcome to Atlantis." Woolsey told them in some ways glad that he was handling their reintroduction into the fold and he walked down to shake the Colonel's hand. "Colonel Young, you've been gone a long time."
"Yes we have." Young said as he returned the handshake feeling so glad to be back on friendly turf again, the others senior members of Atlantis all came down to greet them.
"Welcome back from the hind end of nowhere." Colonel Sheppard said shaking the Colonel's hand and then Major Todd, giving Sheppard a big smile as she met the handsome man, which he seemed to reciprocate, holding her hand for a moment longer than he had Young's.
"It's good to be back." Camille said, she herself feeling full of joy at seeing friendly and familiar faces again. Claire lifted the case she had been carrying and opened it for the crew of Atlantis to see.
"A little gift from us to you." Inside were the ten data crystals they had recovered.
"So ten crystals." McKay said dismissing them and Claire frowned before taking out a piece of fruit from her jacket pocket.
"Do I have to use this?" She threatened, McKay looked at her incredulously so she told him. "It's full of citrus." The reaction was immediate as McKay leapt back away from the offending piece of fruit, his eyes wide with fear. The other members of AR-1 smiled and even the corner of Woolsey's mouth quirked up.
"Now that is sorted out." Claire said knowing McKay wouldn't interrupt again. "We discovered these crystals on the planet we dialled you from. Two of them contain the recorded history of the Ancients in this galaxy, one contains their exobiology database, and three contain a library of Ancient literature." Seeing the interest go down, Claire now showed her real surprises. "This one has drone development data on it, this one information on the green beam energy weapon like the defence satellite you guys found." They all perked up again. "This one has a list of Ancient ship repair facilities like the one on Taranis across the Pegasus galaxy. And the last one has technical specs on all Ancient starships used during the war and even a few they didn't get the chance to build."
The people around her all stared at the crystals like the proverbial gold mine that they were. She told them with a smirk at the looks on their faces.
"The crystals say they belong to a member of the Lantean High Council called Gaius. It seems he was on his way back to Atlantis on a mission when a Wraith dart ambushed him. Given they were found near a crashed puddle jumper, I think we can figure out that he didn't make it." Claire told them grimly.

Later in the mess hall of Atlantis, Claire was sitting with Teyla and Keller having a steak which was delicious.
"So how have you held up?" Teyla asked glad to have a chance to meet the student of Samantha Carter in the flesh after their kind of meeting over a year ago, although it was in a different body, she saw how Claire held herself differently now. More straight and still, her walk was more purposeful too not as uncertain as it had been before.
"Better than most." Claire said to her smiling with delight. "I just can't wait to see Earth again with my own two eyes."
"Believe me I know the feeling." Jennifer Keller told her, remembering her experience with Neeva Casol who had briefly swapped bodies with her and nearly gotten her killed when her business partners had mistaken Jennifer for Neeva.
"I just hope that Sam is pleased with me. I don't want to let her down." Claire said, still a bit nervous of meeting her old mentor face to face.
"From what I have heard you have done more than well, she will be very proud of you." Teyla told her and Jennifer nodded. Claire smiled brighter at their reassuring words.
"So any boyfriends on Destiny?" Jennifer asked and Claire's smile lost some of its shine.
"Yeah, one. He died." Jennifer and Teyla both stopped smiling and Teyla told her knowing the pain of thinking the one you loved had died.
"I'm sorry." Claire gave her a sad smile before telling her.
"We barely knew each other, but he left me a legacy." She said, her hand unconsciously going to her waist. Catching the action Teyla asked her while putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Oh Claire how far along?" Jennifer now catching on looked lower and now saw the swell which had been hidden by her jacket.
"Three months with Triplets." Claire said still worried at having to give birth three times in a row.
"Triplets?" Jennifer said amazed given how rare an occurrence that was.
"What does that mean?" Teyla asked never having heard the term before.
"It means she has three babies growing inside her rather than just one." Jennifer explained, Teyla was shocked at such a thing happening. Amongst her people it was extremely rare for twins to be born, three children from one woman at a single time was unheard of.
"If that was the only concern, maybe I would feel better but there is something else." Claire told them and they looked confused as she looked intently at the salt on the table and watched in astonishment as it started to rise off the table to float in mid-air. It stayed there for a moment till it lowered itself back on to the table.
"How?" Teyla asked, she had seen such things before but was still intrigued by them.
"A virus that has been rewriting my DNA with Ancient genetic code." Claire explained. "One of our officers, Lieutenant Vanessa James has it too but not as far along as me yet."
"And you haven't looked for a cure?" Jennifer asked surprised at how they seemed to be allowing this and worried.
"Why would I?" Claire asked, shocking Jennifer a bit. "I mean the benefits of this are incalculable. I will have all the abilities of an Ancient and can put them towards the Stargate Program. I met an alternate version of myself who embraced those abilities and did miraculous things." She told them giving them a brief rundown of the Novus incident. Both women looked amazed and Jennifer asked.
"If it would be alright, I'd like to study that virus. See if it's safe like you say." Jennifer asked and Claire nodded in acceptance.

Meanwhile Richard Woolsey was sharing a cup of coffee with Colonels Sheppard and Young and Camille Wray. After over a year without the substance it was weird on the tongues of the Destiny crew.
"So have you enjoyed your little journey to the outskirts of the universe?" Woolsey asked, a bit intrigued as to what they must have seen out there. "It must have been hard out there?" He asked and Young and Wray both gave him a tired look.
"You have no idea." Camille said as she thought about everyone they had lost out there and the nightmares they had faced.
"Well it's over now, you can go back to Earth by the gate and let others bring Destiny home to Earth." Sheppard suggested trying to lift the mood but Young and Wray bristled.
"I would prefer if I and the rest of the crew took Destiny back to Earth ourselves." Colonel Young told them, put off instantly by the idea of leaving Destiny in the hands of a group of strangers.
"Of course that is possible." Woolsey said, thinking they would have been glad to get back to Earth as soon as possible and leave this part of their lives behind, confused at their reluctance to part with the ship.
"We know her best and I think my crew will decide to stay at least until we get the ship back to Earth." Colonel Young said, while he had resented even hated being trapped on that ship, it now felt like home and he was reluctant to part with Destiny. He saw Camille felt the same and wondered if it was just them or the rest of the crew.

An hour or so later, the crew of Destiny had started coming down to the city in groups so that they could enjoy some of the things they had done without in the last year; chocolate, ice cream, meat etc. In the mess hall, Matt was sitting down with Eli, Chloe, Ginn, Lisa and Greer as they tucked into their lunch all enjoying the tastes of foods they had thought they might never taste again. Around them a number of the crew were mingling with Atlantis personnel, embracing the opportunity to meet with people from Earth again. On the table next to them, they overheard some of the Atlantis marines talking.
"I saw some of the pictures of that ship. Man it looks like a rust bucket." One of the marines joked and his buddies laughed. The Destiny crew all bristled at the insult towards their ship and Matt stood up sharply gaining their attention of the marines.
"What the hell you say?" Greer asked as he and the others got up with several other crew, all of them feeling angry at the put down.
"Relax man it was just a joke." The marine in question said exasperated and not understanding what he had done.
"Maybe she is old but she has a sure as hell lasted better than this glass palace of yours." Barnes said from another table and this time it was the Atlantis personnel's turn to get out of their seats and said.
"You watch your mouth." He threatened now feeling anger at them insulting Atlantis.
"Make us." Matt challenged forgetting he was an officer and supposed to stop this kind of thing. No-one was sure just who threw the first punch but regardless it soon descended into an all-out brawl. Tables and chairs were thrown over as people started throwing punches and kicks.
In the control room, just as the leaders of the two groups were finishing off another round of coffee, they heard from Major Todd.
"Sir." She said on the radio addressing her immediate superior Colonel Young. "A fight has broken out in the mess hall between our crew and Atlantis. You had better get down here sir."
"On my way Major." Young told her and he sighed at this turn of events, wondering if he should have expected this given the short fuse some of his crew had.
"I'll come too." Colonel Sheppard said, surprised at this but meaning to bring it under control.
The two Colonels left Woolsey and Wray to continue talking while they made their way down to the mess. When they arrived, a scene of utter devastation greeted them as plates of food and cups of drink lay spattered on the floor, tables and chairs thrown all across the room as men and women kept on fighting, obvious to the presence of their superior officers. In the crowd, Young was surprised to see have the science team getting involved in the fight, Eli landing a punch straight on a technician's face while Lisa Park and Adam Brody were wrestling with two marines. Having seen enough Young yelled.
"Alright break this up right now!" His voice caught the attention of the people in the room who stopped their fighting and broke apart.
"Fall in line." Sheppard shouted and the groups separated and stood in attendance. All of them were sporting bruises and a few cuts but no one looked seriously hurt.
"What the hell is going on? We turn our backs for an hour and it turns into a fight." Sheppard asked annoyed at the lack of discipline.
"They started it." The Atlantis marine who had insulted Destiny said.
"I don't care who started it." Sheppard said sharply. "All of you get checked out by Doctor Keller and then you are confined to quarters."
"And that goes for all of the Destiny crew too." Young added who had taken a small smirk each till Young put them in their place.

A day or so later, the gate of Atlantis dialled. Waiting at the top of the stairs was Young, Camille, Todd and Claire standing at the side while the Atlantis senior personnel stood in the centre. Claire's nerves started getting sharper and sharper as the seconds ticked by. The reason for the tension was when a blonde woman in a general's uniform stepped through the gate followed by a group of other people. The blonde woman, an attractive forty or so years old looked around and her eyes connected with Claire's causing Claire's breath to hitch, as if fearing anger or disappointment.
But the blonde woman's face broke into a smile when she saw Claire. Woolsey walked forward and greeted the man who was leading the large group that had just arrived. General Jack O'Neill greeted Woolsey and both he and General Samantha Carter walked over to the Destiny crew. The military personnel saluted while the civilians stood a little straighter. O'Neill looked at them and said.
"Well folks, it's good to see you all again." His easy going humour proving a tonic to the situation, allowing Colonel Young who was himself grateful that Colonel Telford wasn't with them to say as he felt better in the presence of his senior officer.
"It's good to see you too in the flesh I mean sir."
"Yeah that too." O'Neill said and turned to Sam. "Go on." He told Sam and she turned to Claire and taking a light grip on her arm and led her away from the others. Becoming more anxious with every moment till Sam and her emerged on to a balcony which gave a spectacular view of the city. Under any other circumstances Claire would have loved to just stare and enjoy the view but right now her gaze went to her feet as Sam looked at her seriously.
"Sam I…" Claire started to say, meaning to say sorry if she had disappointed her but was shocked into silence when Sam pulled her into a close hug which Claire although surprised quickly reciprocated, taking comfort in being close to her mentor for the first time in over a year.
"I have wondered if we would ever get to meet like this again." Sam said taking a step back but keeping her hands on Claire's shoulders, looking her right in the eyes. Claire felt better at the friendly welcome, certain now that Sam wasn't angry or disappointed in her. Sam herself was glad to see one of her most prized pupils safe and back in friendly territory again. For over a year now Sam had worried about Claire but was relieved by the reports she was shown by Jack.
"Same here." Claire admitted and said. "I just hope that your faith in me wasn't misplaced."
"Claire, how many times do I have to tell you?" Sam asked almost exasperated at Claire's low self-esteem. "I have never been disappointed in you. When we met you were a solitary figure with few if any personal relationships, drifting through jobs without purpose because you couldn't find one that engaged you on a level to stay interested. Shy and unsure of yourself. But now, you are one of the best scientists that have ever worked at the SGC, advancing us into new areas of science that we never dreamed of, more confident and sure of yourself. You saved the Tok'ra from extinction by taking Maylin into yourself and carrying her for months. You've been out in the universe and charted the most distant corners. You're well respected by those you work with, have many friends and are in a position of high authority in Destiny's command." She told her firmly while Claire blushed embarrassed by the praise. "You have exceeded any expectations that I might have had for you a thousand times."
Claire felt now she had to come clean about her 'condition' to Sam. She told her still feeling a bit nervous.
"It's just that, something happened out there and now I'm…" She said her hands kept to her sides. "I'm expecting."
"Oh Claire." Sam said as she now saw the swell at Claire's waist, she gave her protégé a gentle smile and put a hand back on her shoulder. "How far along?" Sam asked.
"Three months." Claire told her. "And three of them."
Sam looked at her surprised but smiled again and told her. "That's wonderful. And the father?" She asked, regretting asking the question when Claire's face took a downturn.
"He was killed in our first battle with the Berserker drones." Claire told her and before Sam could say anything she continued. "I know that I will be raising these three alone, but my other self the Ascended one." Claire said and Sam nodded remembering that in a report on the Novus incident that they had encountered an alternate version of Claire who had ascended. "She reshaped a society to protect them, advancing them centuries. I already in one shape or form managed to raise those girls, so I can do it again." Claire finished with more confidence.
Sam smiled at her standing up and accepting the responsibility. She herself had her hands full most days with the twins and running the SGC. It was going to be very tough on Claire having three to raise and vowed to help her if she could.
"I'd like to help if I could. But first, I think that you owe me and the rest of us a tour of Destiny." She said with a warm smile and through the doors behind her, Jennifer Hailey and Cassandra Frasier appeared. Both smiled at their friend who returned it, delighted to see her friends again walking over to them who met her half way and gave her tight hugs as glad to see her as she was. It wasn't long before they were gossiping like old times.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
"This is the gate room where we begin our tour." Claire told SG-1, AR-1, General O'Neill, Sam, Colonel Howard and a civilian medical Doctor called Molly O'Sullivan now all had arrived on Destiny by a shuttle to give people the full experience. They had all marvelled at the ship and General O'Neill had made his 'big honking spaceship' comment.
The first thing that the newcomers noticed in the gate room was the gate of course. The non-scientists or non-academics of the group were not really interested in it other than how it looked different but those who did fit into the first two categories walked up close to it.
"Amazing." Daniel Jackson said. "This might be the oldest stargate in existence."
"Wonder how it differs to the gates we've seen so far?" Jennifer asked hoping for a chance to study this more intimately.
"We retrieved the stargate production data from a seed ship we encountered. I could let you look at it." Claire offered making Jennifer look like a cat who had got the cream. Smirking a bit, Claire led the crew out of the gate room and into the dark but lit corridors.
"And this is where you have been living for over a year?" McKay asked with an air of distain, Claire fed instantly defensive towards the ship but she didn't have the opportunity to say anything because from the corridor behind her, a voice sounded.
"She might not have the glamour or shine of Atlantis but this ship has stood the tests and rigors of time and everything space could throw at her." The gruff voice of Doctor Rush as he came marching up the corridor ignoring the others as he came face to face with McKay who looked nervous of the intensity that he was getting from Rush. "She has the potential to bring Earth into a new age. Her technology is so much closer to our own, plus all the information that she has gathered from her journey through the universe." He turned to Claire and asked her. "Will you be joining me later in the science lab to study the crystals you recovered that are like micro ZPMs?"
"Of course, I thought we might also review some of the theories that we recovered from the Novus archive. Some of their ideas were intriguing." She said nodding. His expression eased and he accepted with a slight nod before walking off. The others looked on it amazement and Daniel asked her.
"You can work with Rush?"
"We've come to an understanding. For the last few months he and I have been working together to understand the ship's technology and a few other things we found." Claire told them not seeing the big deal but then remembering how it had been with Rush at first. The two of them had almost drawn battle lines and been at each other's throats for months but after the bridge had been discovered along with the ship's mission the two had come to an understanding, working on unlocking the mysteries around them and gained a new appreciation for each other's abilities. Not exactly friends but were colleagues at least. The others who had dealt with Rush in the past were amazed at her being able to tolerate the man long enough to work with him, he made Kavanagh look like the most likeable guy in the universe.
Getting back on with the tour, McKay was spoken to by Sheppard. "Try not to get these people's nerves. They seem rather attached to the ship."
"I was just making an observation." McKay replied not seeing his fault but Sheppard being a bit wiser to the feelings of others told him.
"This is their home. Try to remember that before you speak." He warned McKay, he might consider the man a friend but that attitude of his was a problem that he had been contending with for six years now and tolerated only for the sake of their friendship.
At the front of the group Colonel Maurice Howard was distracted from the tour when he saw his daughter Private Selene Howard walking down the corridor towards them. He looked over to his friend and superior officer who nodded and he broke away from the group. Selene was so engrossed in the file on the Ancient language she had been reading that she didn't even hear her father coming till she walked into him. The slight impact made her look up into her father's stern face and she instantly went to salute.
"Sorry sir." She said quickly not letting on how much she had been dreading this meeting. When she had been growing up he had been a soldier first and a father second.
"I've read the reports on your conduct aboard this ship." He told her sternly, she looked down waiting for the dressing down that she was sure was coming but he told her something heartfelt for perhaps the first time in her life. "And your mother and I are very proud, you have performed with distinction however that doesn't mean as much as having you here and safe." He told her and pulled her into a hug, having come so close to losing her forever, he didn't want to waste time telling her that he was proud of her.
Selene meanwhile was experiencing shock. 'He really does care' she thought to herself.
"When you get back to Earth; your mother, brothers and I are going to take a vacation together to Hawaii. I expect you to show me how your jungle tactics have developed." He then told her.
'Should have figured it was too good to last.' Selene thought exasperated.

"This is the infirmary and our Chief Medical Officer Lieutenant Tamara Johansen." Claire introduced as she led the rest of the group through the ship. The infirmary had been full only hours ago of people nursing cuts and bruises from the brawl in Atlantis' mess hall. TJ looked up from her work and stood to attention. At the right signal from Young she relaxed trying not to be nervous as if her competence was being reviewed. The civilian Doctor Molly O'Sullivan moved forward without hesitation and shook TJ's surprised hand.
"Well Lieutenant." The Irish woman said her accent strong but smooth. "I'd like to review all of the experiences you have had with those nasty bugs out there and what treatments you devised to deal with them." She told TJ looking as formidable as any matron of years gone by. However she was only in her mid-twenties and something of a medical prodigy. Her family had been involved in medicine for at least five generations going back to her great-grandmother who she was named after the original Molly O'Sullivan who had served as a nurse on the western front of World War 1.
"Maybe later Doc." Colonel Mitchell said trying to rescue TJ but ignoring him Molly moved on to her next point.
"This Doctor Bed that everyone has been raving about?" Molly asked, taking TJ gently by the arm and leading her over to the device in question. TJ was a bit overwhelmed by the strong personality of Doctor O'Sullivan but the Irish woman was just caught up in the possible benefits of Destiny to the medical community. She had been told by a lot of her people, especially her family that she was too bossy but her devotion to her patients could never be questioned, working longer and harder than any other doctor she had worked with. She was kind to her patients but firm if they started any nonsense. "Do you think it could cure HIV or a quadriplegic?" She asked TJ who was taken aback by the question.
"Probably." TJ managed to say still feeling overwhelmed by the directness of Molly.
"Then maybe we could get Marian Wallace and Amanda Perry over here to get them healed?" She said turning to O'Neill who was suddenly given a flashback of Doctor Janet Frasier, a woman that had once scared him more than any alien ever had.
"We could if the thing can do it." He compromised but was still feeling the bluntness of Doctor O'Sullivan.
"Good so arrange it." Molly said with an edge that made him feel nervous. The others made a swift exit while poor TJ was questioned further by Doctor O'Sullivan. Carrying on to the Armoury where Teal'c and Sheppard eagerly took a particle magnum pistol each. They had wanted one since they had first met Ronan and seen his.

Back in the infirmary, Doctor O'Sullivan was working with TJ and Volker to modify the two Doctor Beds for their patients when they arrived.
"I'm impressed Lieutenant, you certainly have put a lot of experienced and fully trained doctors to shame with your ability." Molly told TJ who flushed at the praise.
"Please it's TJ and I just did the best I could with my training." She replied but Molly wasn't letting her off the hook that easily.
"You are going to be a great doctor when you have more time to get some lessons in." Molly complimented her, her cheeks going slightly flushed with the praise and Volker who was feeling a bit left out of the conversation decided to say.
"Do you think these things could cure any problem?" TJ thought for a moment before answering.
"Possibly, we're still unsure of the extent of their functionality. But if they are modified they can deal with most problems."
"This technology if we could duplicate it could become the biggest thing in medicine since antibiotics." Molly said, finding new means of healing people had been a big selling point of her joining the IOA and the SGC as a medical researcher and consultant and this particular discovery had her very excited.
"Probably." Volker said, grateful for the device that had saved his life but was not sure they could reverse engineer it for mass production or apply it to every injury or sickness.
"Well what do you think?" Molly asked TJ as they finished the modifications. TJ was unsure of herself when she realised that one of the best medical personnel attached to the SGC was asking for her opinion but forced down her nervousness and said to her trying to be confident.
"Looks perfect, now we just run a few simulations to be safe but after that all we need are some patients."
"Then let's go get them out here." Molly said with a big smile, helping people was what she lived for.

A few hours later, Eli and Ginn had been released from their room and stood with Doctor Rush and Camille as they waited in Atlantis' gate room for the stargate to dial from Earth. As the chevrons locked, they all got more nervous, people they had been separated from for a long time were coming here to meet them face to face.
As the eighth symbol locked, the unstable vortex made its appearance before settling into the puddle. Their breath hitched as the seconds ticked by till the moment finally arrived when a group exited the wormhole.
Eli instantly moved forwards as the wormhole cut out. The woman in her early fifties looked around and saw him before meeting him in a tight hug. Both of them felt the relief and happiness at seeing each other again after over a year. Eli wrapped his arms around his mother as tightly as he dared, he had worried about her so much especially after the scare with her not taking her medication a while ago. Marian on the other hand was so glad to see 'her' son again and to have him in her arms and she had become scared that she had lost him forever. They stayed like that for a moment before Eli relaxed his hold before turning to Ginn who had been waiting quietly not wanting to disturb the reunion of mother and son. Eli then told his mum something that he had kept from her till they had the opportunity to tell her face to face.
"Mom, this is Ginn, my girlfriend." Ginn's nerves went up a notch as the older woman scrutinised her intently, Marian was shocked to find her son had even been interested in someone let alone dating. The red haired girl was a looker she acknowledged but she was glad to see intelligence in her kind eyes. Making a decision Marian stepped out of her son's hug and took Ginn's hand gently in her own before telling her.
"I'm very pleased to meet you." Happy to see her son happy and only wishing he hadn't had to go to the outskirts of the universe to find a decent girl. Ginn meanwhile was relieved and delighted that the mother of her boyfriend approved of her.
Off to the side, Camille was faced with Sharon who pulled her into tight embrace kissing each other deeply with such relief at finally being able to see each other's faces again. Their relationship had been so strained by the fact that Sharon had been dealing with the bodies of strangers which Camille had been forced to borrow. But now they were both so happy to see each other as they really were again that they were willing to stay like this as long as they could.
The final people through the gate had been a woman in a wheelchair called Doctor Amanda Perry accompanied by her ever vigilant carer Mary. Rush walked over to her and feeling drawn to her face he said.
"Hello again." Amanda smiled in response.
A while later they were beamed up to Destiny where Doctor O'Sullivan was waiting with TJ. Placing Marian and Amanda on the beds was a daunting experience for both women. A chance to be free of the conditions that they were suffering from was a great opportunity for both women but trusting their health to these pieces of equipment was daunting and the very real possibility that something might go wrong was weighing heavy on their minds. Rush and Eli stood back looking at them with great concern as TJ and Molly activated the healing devices. Both women took a steadying breath as the transparent cases slid up and around them. It only took a moment for the process to begin and everyone else in the room turned away as the beds were bathed in the same bright violet light as before. It lasted for only a moment and then it was over. The light faded and the cases retracted back into the beds. Marian was the first to get up as they lay there momentarily stunned, she sat up on the bed and asked them.
"Did it work?" Marian asked Molly.
"We'll do some tests to be sure but the initial scans look promising." Molly said comfortingly, helping her to her feet.
On the other bed, TJ and Rush were helping Amanda up, she without realising put her hands on the side of the bed to steady herself then nearly fell back when she lost her concentration after realising what she had done only for Rush to catch her. She turned her head towards him and lifted a hand to feel his face, her heart was singing at the sensation that she had only recently experienced through the body of another person. His course facial hair grated on her soft hand but it was a wonderful sensation, to feel like this again. Her heart was thumping in her chest as she experienced absolute bliss, a gift like she had never imagined, to feel with her own hands and hopefully walk with her own feet. She felt more daring now and slid slowly off the bed and onto her own two feet with Rush and TJ looking at her anxiously. She nearly stumbled but with Rush holding her in his arms managed to get onto her own two feet.
Feeling so happy right now that she felt she might burst she looked up to Nicolas who smiled down at her adoringly and she told him.
"Hello Nicolas."
"Hello little miss brilliant." He told her folding her in his arms more tightly which she reciprocated feeling contented.

The next day as Rush and Mary helped Amanda adjust to her new situation, in the med lab of Atlantis Jennifer Keller was studying the Ancient virus in the samples given to her by Claire Williams. The resilience of the virus amazed her as it defied all conventional and a lot of unconventional forms of treatment. The rate of transformation she had noticed depended largely on the individual possibly meaning that some were more resistant to it. She was planning on calling in genetic specialists to uncover more about how it rewrote genetic code when she was interrupted by the arrival of someone in her infirmary. She looked up and saw with a frown Doctor Peter Kavanagh; the distaste that the rest of the people on Atlantis had for the man was so strong every time the man had come to the city they were so glad to see him leave they nearly had a party to celebrate. She had never really had any interaction with the man before so she was unsure of what was so bad about him to make everyone else hate him.
She didn't have to wait long before he came up to her desk, took the vials she had been studying and put them on a shelf before sitting on her desk. She quashed her annoyance at his actions initially but what he said next really got on her nerves.
"Hello Doctor Keller, I'm Doctor Peter Kavanagh I'm sure you've heard of me. I was thinking that maybe some time you and I might go out for a drink."
It wasn't a request, he was more or less telling her to have a drink with him. She might have been nervous enough when she first arrived on Atlantis to have let him get away with bullying her but the last few years here had made her grow a lot braver. She stood up and told him still trying to be patient.
"I appreciate the offer Doctor but I have other plans tonight with Rodney McKay and right now I have work to do. So if you would please see yourself out." She was firm in her words but he ignored them and said.
"McKay, please that guy wouldn't know what to do on a date. I mean it's not like any other relationships he's had have worked out have they." He said mocking the senior scientist making Jennifer see red at his insulting her boyfriend behind his back like a coward and let Kavanagh know it.
"You get out of my infirmary." She said threateningly prodding the tip of her finger into his chest forcing him back towards the door.
"Hey ease up." He said intimidated by the now fierce Keller who told him what she thought of him in no uncertain terms.
"You're a vain, narcissistic, insulting, childish, idiotic asshole." She told him as they reached the door and with a big shove she sent him through the door way and told him as he backed away. "Don't come back."
When he was finally out of sight, she took a calming breath before going back to her desk to carry on with her work. She sat down and absentmindedly reached for the vials while her mind was still raging over what had just happened. She only felt the small tray slip from her fingers a moment before it fell onto the desk where her other hand was resting. A sharp pain was the first indication that something had hit her taking only a fraction of a second for it to happen. Then suddenly in her head something clicked and she realised what had happened as the pain finally was felt as the shock dissipated. She bit her lip to stop herself from crying out, looking at her hand there were some small shards of glass in it and it was covered with Claire Williams' blood samples. Then she suddenly remembered what she had been studying in her blood and Jennifer's eyes widened with fear. She rushed over to tap near her desk and ran the cold water, not bothering to hide her hiss of pain from the sting as the water hit her damaged skin. Carefully picking the shards out, she then applied antiseptic treatments to her hand before bandaging it. Right now she looked at her hand and wondered terrified at what might have gotten into her blood.

"With the additional navigation updates for the milky way galaxy uploaded to the ship's computer, we can get Destiny back to Earth within days." Claire told O'Neill, Young, Sam and Woolsey in the latter man's office in Atlantis. "It will take us about seven days now we know our position and heading." She said demonstrating on a computer screen. The people she was talking to nodding in acceptance and Young looked glad to be getting home so soon when O'Neill interrupted with a little reluctance on his face.
"Sorry to interrupt you but it's going to take a little longer." Not understanding after Claire had explained the journey to him, Young asked with confusion on his mind.
"Why is that sir?"
"Because Mr Woolsey has a job for you." O'Neill said, regretful that their return home was being delayed but knowing the mission was important so he turned to Woolsey who looking happy that his request had been granted by the IOA told Young.
"There is a region of the Pegasus galaxy near the route you would be taking home that has few gates but according to deep space telescopes many star systems. It has been suggested using Destiny to chart those areas would be more efficient then assigning the Daedalus and Ark Royal as your ship Colonel has more expansive science facilities." Woolsey then put up a map of the galaxy with the area in question shaded red.
Young frowned at the delay, the crew wasn't going to be happy about this he sure as hell wasn't. But frustration was soon replaced by his sense of duty and he resigned himself to having to break the delay to his crew. He did however have one question.
"How long would it take us to chart this area?" He asked Claire and looking at the region on the map she made an initial estimate.
"Assuming we are just charting it without too many stops, at FTL would take nearly two weeks." She said, frustrated herself but the pull of the unknown in that area excited her enough to overcome her annoyance.
"I'll break it to my crew, I feel they should have the option of whether or not they want to go along with this or go back to Earth now." Young said firmly. He saw the frowns on the faces of the two other men in the room but refused to back down. This was his crew they were talking about, for over a year they had risked life and limb on the other side of the universe together and he was willing to go to bat for them if he had too every time.
O'Neill was secretly impressed that Colonel Young was willing to risk his career like this for his crew's sake but annoyed as well. If too many people decided to leave then they would have to find replacement crewmembers from somewhere or worse scrap the whole mission. Training new people to handle the ship from scratch would take time which would no doubt entice more people to leave before the mission even started.
"Alright if you must." He said with a sigh seeing the determination in Young's eyes and knowing he wasn't going to budge and thinking about it, Wray would probably do the same. "But we need to keep enough people on to complete this mission." He warned Young who nodded in acceptance.
A short while later he returned to Destiny and called his entire crew together in the gate room. They all looked at him expectantly wondering the reason for the meeting. The crowd mumbled quietly till the Colonel finally appeared at the gantry with Claire Williams looking worried behind him. They all stopped talking and waited for the Colonel to speak, who didn't keep them waiting long.
"With additional star charts that we have now received it is now possible for us to navigate our way back to Earth within a week. However." He said as the hopeful murmuring started again. "We have been assigned a two week exploration mission along the way just before we leave the Pegasus galaxy. It has been suggested that any crewmember who would rather return home immediately can use the stargate in Atlantis to go home tomorrow. So anyone who would prefer to leave now must report to this room at 2200 hours tonight." He told them trying to gauge their reactions so he might get an idea as to how many crew he was going to lose, the crew looked unsure. "Think carefully but it should only take us two weeks extra or so to chart the area assigned to us so think it through." He told them and then left them to head back to his quarters. He was staying and TJ had decided to as well, Claire after their meeting with Woolsey and O'Neill had told him that she was staying on too so at least he knew he would still have them with him on this little side trip.

Meanwhile in the infirmary of Atlantis, Doctor Jennifer Keller was sitting on a bed, lost in thought as she saw the test results that she had run again and again in her mind. The bandage around her hand was enough of a reminder of what had happened but the fear created by the results was what really had fixed the details so firmly in her mind. She had been unsure of who to tell first, so she called AR-1, perhaps her best friends here and her boyfriend of course to tell them first. The four person team wandered in to the infirmary pleasantly chatting like they always did. The normal event struck her deeply as she wondered if anything could ever be the same like that for her again.
"Doctor Keller. Is there something wrong?" Teyla asked as she noticed Jennifer's fearful expression and Teyla's smile was wiped from her face as the young doctor who had become one of her closest friends looked at them with such concern.
"Jennifer, tell me what is it?" Rodney said rushing forward. He took a careful hold of her uninjured hand, instantly concerned for his girlfriend. Although grateful for the gesture, Jennifer pulled her hand free of his and closed her eyes sighing. She was trying to build up the courage to tell them.
"Doc." Colonel Sheppard said urgently. She opened her eyes again as the fear bubbled inside her. She saw the concern on all their faces and it made her feel worse for worrying them so she just managed to get together the courage to tell them.
"I had a little accident earlier." She told them, raising her bandaged hand and her audience all relaxed thinking that was the only issue till she continued. "I was studying blood samples from Claire Williams to isolate the virus that is turning her into an Ancient." The men in the room all looked stunned at the news that the young woman they had seen only hours ago was being changed into a member of the same species that had built Atlantis while Teyla nodded having already be aware of this.
"What happened?" Ronan asked. He felt concern for her that went beyond the boundaries of friendship but mentally forced those feelings away in respect for her feelings towards McKay. He also didn't want to risk his friendship with McKay, although he was at times tempted to punch Rodney he none the less respected him for his occasional bravery and his intelligence which only a select few could match. Besides he was dating Amelia Banks now and was determined not to let his old feelings for Jennifer cast a shadow on his new relationship.
"The vials fell and broke." She said bracing herself for the reason for their predicament. "The shards cut my hand and, well the blood spilled on the cuts. Passing the virus on…to me."
The team's reaction was immediate, they all became more concerned than ever and Rodney moved even closer to her, this time she let him so he sat next to her and put his arms around her and pulled her into his embrace which she accepted drawing strength from his closeness. The others all moved closer to standing near her and Sheppard asked.
"Well what are you going to do?" He himself was already wondering if they could get Carson to come back to Atlantis to work on a cure for her. Already he was recalling where the clone of their former chief medical officer was supposed to be right now. Jennifer told him with some resolve in her voice.
"I'll look for a way to stop it, I respect Claire and Vanessa James' choices but I intend to fight this." She felt a bit braver having made her declaration. The team gave her reassuring looks, behind the doctor one hundred percent. McKay pressed his lips to hers in a warm kiss, afterwards letting her rest her head on his shoulders.

Unaware of the things happening in the City of the Ancients, Colonel Young checked his clock, seeing that is was now 2200 hours Earth time. His concern over how many people he was likely to lose and whether or not he would have enough to take the ship back to Earth running furiously through his mind. He looked over at TJ who was taking a nap, she had been exhausted by the last few days and needed to take a rest. Pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead, she smiled in her sleep. Smiling himself Young looked over to the other important girl in his life, his daughter Carman who was still lying in her crib asleep too. He headed out as quietly as possible so as not to disturb anyone.
Walking along the corridors his anticipation grew as did his worries. When he saw the doorway to the gate room's upper gantry he stopped for a moment as he prepared himself. Claire stepped into his field of vision from the other side of the door. Her expression neutral, he sighed as asked his head scientist.
"How many?"
Claire told him without changing expression. "Come and see for yourself." Her tone flat.
Walking forward slowly to prolong the time before he was forced to confront members of his crew jumping ship again, Claire stepped to the side to let him come up to the railing and as he looked down, he found something that he had never expected.
"No-one?" He asked Claire as he looked into the empty room which he was sure would have been packed with members of his crew eager to get home as soon as possible.
"A few did consider it." Claire told him honestly as a small smile broke out on her face. "But they all decided that if this ship is going to Earth anyway…We should be the ones to bring it there."
"No-one." He repeated to himself, still unable to believe it.
"Wherever we go, we go together as a crew." She told him warmly, leaning on the railing next to him. She herself was quite surprised but ever since they had discovered where they were in the universe, the atmosphere on board Destiny had changed. Before desperation and fear had once stalked these halls. Now there was a joyous calm, like everything was right with the world, perhaps because they knew they were no longer alone. The crew themselves were tackling their jobs with renewed vigour as they started the journey back home.
Claire's smile grew bigger as she and the ship's commander stared at the empty room, feeling the same feelings of amazement and joy that for now at least, their crew was staying together.

The next day, more supplies and equipment were loaded on to Destiny while Rush and Eli stood in Atlantis' gate room as they waved off the people who had crossed galaxies to visit them.
"You take care okay?" Marian told Eli, hugging her son closely. She had wanted him to return with her immediately to Earth but he had told her that he intended to stay on Destiny to guide the ship home, as well as get Ginn ready to face that world when the time came. She had wanted to argue but realised that in her absence, her boy had grown up and was capable of making his own decisions without her help. So as much as it tore at her heart, she endorsed his decision.
"You too." He told her.
On the other side of the room, Amanda Perry was standing although the ability to do so thrilled her as she talked to Nicolas.
"Look me up when you get back to Earth okay?" She asked him, nervous that somehow their relationship would have changed because she was in her own body.
"Of course." He reassured her with a smile, taking a gentle hold of her hand. She smiled now feeling better. As the stargate back to Earth engaged and with great reluctance, Eli and Rush let go of the women who meant so much to them, allowing them to join the rest of the people going back to Earth. Sharon was talking to Camille seriously at the back of the room.
"Are you sure about this?" Camille asked, worried that Sharon was doing what she was doing on a whim. Sharon smiled at Camille's uncertainty before telling her after placing a firm hand on her shoulder.
"I let you out of my sight for a couple of months and didn't see you for over a year. I'm not letting you get away from me so easily." Camille looked at her uneasy.
"But your job? And life on Destiny is difficult." Camille told her but Sharon put her finger to Camille's lips, silencing her to let Sharon respond.
"You matter to me more than any job. And as long as I have you, it doesn't matter where we are."
Camille finally smiled, allowing Sharon to tenderly kiss her as the others departed.
On the control level, Woolsey turned to Young and told him after the last of the visitors from Earth had left and the wormhole disengaged.
"The restocking of your ship is complete, you're ready to go Colonel at your convenience." The head of Atlantis told the commander of Destiny. Both men smiled and Young told the other man.
"Thank you Mr Woolsey, I think my ship and I had better get started with our mission." Looking out to the other members of his crew in the control room he shouted out.
"Alright people, let's get going." Eli and Rush stared at the deactivated wormhole for a moment before walking to the centre of the room where Camille and Sharon joined them. As he walked down the stairs, Colonel Young asked Sharon.
"You sure about this Miss Walker?" He asked her and taking Camille's hand securely in her own she nodded.
"Then welcome aboard." Colonel Young said with a smile. Rush and Eli looked at the pair with a smile each. Young took out his communicator and activated it.
"Destiny, five to beam up." Young said, in too good a mood to be annoyed by the smirk from Eli. The moment later, the five of them were engulfed by a blue light, reappearing in the gate room on Destiny.
Now with the last of the crew on board, the ship was directed by its navigator to begin the journey back to Earth. Breaking orbit, the ship opened a hyperspace window, taking it on their newest mission.
