~Sunday~
Lucy woke up and stretched her arms in the air. She hummed and rolled over. When she didn't feel anyone, she reached with her hands. She opened her eyes and looked beside her. She was alone in her room. She sat up and looked around.
Then she remembered the stupid bet with Gray.
She sighed and looked at her clock. It was almost ten, so she figured it was time to wake up. She threw the blankets off of herself and got out of bed. She grabbed a small blanket from the floor and wrapped it around herself. She made her way to the kitchen like a zombie. Laxus was digging through the fridge when she got there.
"Morning," Lucy said with a yawn. She sat down on one of the bar stools.
"Huh?" Laxus mumbled, closing the fridge, a carton of eggs in one hand, the jug of milk in the other. "Lucy, what are you doing home?"
"I live here, don't I?" she asked. She watched him pull a pan out from one of the cupboards. He got a bowl and cracked two eggs into it.
"Yeah, but I figured you would be at Gray's house," he said. He started whisking the eggs yolk and whites together. He suddenly stopped. "Is everything okay?"
"Okay with what?" she asked. She got up and poured herself a cup of orange juice.
"With Gray," he clarified.
"Yeah, why?" she asked skeptically. She put three pieces of toast in the toaster. Laxus always ate two, so she thought ahead by making his.
"Well you never spend the weekends here, unless he's with you." He poured the eggs into the pan. He grabbed a spatula and waited for the eggs to cook.
"Everything's fine. We just aren't talking is all." The toast popped from the toaster. She buttered Laxus' and put peanut butter on her own. She sat down and started eating.
"You aren't talking? That doesn't seem okay to me," he pointed out. He stirred his eggs around in the pan.
"We are having a bet. He wants to see my dress for the dance, but I won't let him. We decided that if I talk to him before the dance, I have to show it to him. But if he talks to me first, he has to do whatever I say for a whole day."
Laxus turned the stove off. He put the eggs on the plate beside the toast. "Just make sure you think of me when you're making him do stuff, okay?"
"You think he'll crack?" Lucy asked.
"Oh, I know he will."

Gray sighed as he stirred sugar into his coffee. It was almost noon, and he just woke up. Ultear and Ur both asked why Lucy wasn't over within moments of him waking up. Lyon was at work, so he wasn't home to ask. Wendy was playing upstairs in her room, but she would come down soon enough for lunch. He knew she would mention a certain blonde not being there.
"I wonder what Loke's doing?" he asked allowed. He hadn't hung out with the orange-headed male in a long time, so he figured he would give him a call.
"Hello?" Loke answered the phone.
"Hey, what are you up to?" Gray asked, playing with the pen in front of him.
"Nothing worth mentioning. What about you?"
"Same. I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out."
"What, did Lucy dump you?" Loke laughed.
"What? Of course not!"
"Dude, you guys are inseparable. There is no other reason for her not being with you."
"We aren't always together."
"Name one time when you guys weren't together, except for when you were fighting or went to the bathroom."
"..." Gray was trapped. "Okay, fine. Do you want to hang out or not?"
"I'll be over in a few."

"Check," Lucy said, moving her queen.
"I'll kill your queen," Yuki said, moving a rook to Lucy's queen. He set her piece in the pile with the rest of them.
"This is getting intense," Rin whispered. Kyo nodded in agreement.
"Check," Yuki said, moving one of his pieces. Lucy moved her king. Yuki moved another piece. He moved. She moved. He moved. She moved. He moved.
"Check-mate!" Lucy said proudly. Rin did a mini victory dance.
"Pay up!" he yelled to Kyo.
"Dammit," Kyo cursed. He put ten dollars in Rin's hands. "I thought for sure Yuki would win."
"That was stupid of you," Ciel laughed. He was laying on his bed, reading a magazine. "Lucy was always great at Chess."
Having nothing better to do, Lucy went over to Ciel's apartment. One thing led to another, and she was playing Yuki in Chess. They were both amazing players, but she won the two-hour-long game. It was already five o'clock.
"What is going on?" Chase asked, entering the room. It was never a good sign when the four boys gathered in their room. Having two bunk beds, a closet, and two larger dressers, the room was very crowded. The one thing the boys hated was a crowded space.
"Hi, Chase," Lucy said with a smile. He briefly waved back.
"Why are you guys messing around?" Chase asked. "You should be practicing."
"We don't need practice!" Ciel whined. "And we have a weak before the dance, anyways."
"You do realize you're singing a new song, right?" Chase asked, rolling his eyes. All four boys exchanged worried glances. "It's on the table." Rin ran out and grabbed the music. He reentered the room and handed a copy to everyone.
"Wait," Yuki said, reading his copy. "Ciel will obviously have the lead, Kyo will probably scream, but who sings this part? I know I sing the highest, but there is no way I can hit those notes."
"It's for a girl, dumbass," Kyo said, rolling his eyes.
"I was planning on Rin singing that. What happened?" Ciel asked. He wrote all the band's music, including the one they were all looking at.
"I sent it to the record company, and they did they want a girl to sing it. They changed the notes themselves," Chase explained. He was actually their manager.
"Well who's going to sing it?" Lucy asked. "You guys clearly can't sing soprano."
All the guys looked at her with smiled on their faces.
"No way!" she yelled.
"Come on!" Ciel whined. "You always had a great voice!"
"You sang the lead in the school play with Ciel, remember?" Chase asked. "It was really good."
"But that was such a long time ago," she tried to reason. "I just couldn't."
"You know, I thought friends were suppose to be able to turn to each other in times of need," Yuki said, pulling the 'friend card.'
"Ugh!" she groaned. "Give me the damn paper!"
She couldn't believe they talked her into singing so easily.
In front of everyone.
More importantly, in front of Gray.
I LOVE YOU ALL! Two-hundred reviews! Well, two-hundred and one, but whatever. And congratulations, Duncundog! You were reviewer number two-hundred! And for your prize, everyone has to (not really, unless you guys want to), stalk your profile and read your story! I'm actually going to do the same after I update all my stories. (I'm not creepy or anything. I just looked and saw that Duncundog's story looks pretty cool, so I'm going to read it.)And for your actual prize, Duncundog. If at any point during this story I leave you in way too much suspense, you can tell me in your review to update the day you review. I know it's not a super spectacular prize, but it's something. And I want to hear you guys' suggested for the prize for the three-hundredth review *wink wink*. I really hope this story gets that far!
Now I'm going to get deep for a minute. I just want to share something with you all that I've been thinking about lately.
So we all read stories on FanFiction and other sites like this one, right? And each person's profile has the country they are from. A lot of people don't put their race (is that the word I want?) on their profile. So all you guys would know is that I'm from America. I could be Japanese, Polish, German, African, Chinese, Korean, or even Russian. And you wouldn't know my religion either. I could be Jewish, Christian, Catholic, or Hindu. But honestly, how many of you actually care what I am? Does it really matter? Of course not! Everyone on here has some sort of religion (unless you're not into that) and some ethnicity. But we treat everyone just the same. We review stories without even knowing what the author looks like behind the screen. Isn't that amazing to think about? This world is full of so many racist people, then there are sites like these, where pretty much the whole world interacts without judging each other. I just think that's amazing and wonderful.
