I don't own GI JOE just my characters, just doing this for shits and giggles. Surprises two and three for Drew are in this.

-Derek-

I was leaning on the railing of Colton's stairs, I watched as Tray and Kal were playing a game of cards while Jak and Echo were cuddling on the couch. I felt a pang of jealousy hit me like a ton of bricks seeing my team with the ones they wanted.

'I promise Kayla I will get you guys back even if it kills me.' I thought while I saw Colton stand next to me.

"Do you plan on calling him to help?" Colton asked making me tense up at which him he was talking about. And I'll tell you its not Drew's dad.

"Why would I give him a call?" I asked darkly when he mentioned my old college friend.

"Because you owe him for saving Drew's life when she was a rookie. Derek it has been fourteen years and you know he would have kept her safe if she hadn't been told to go out on patrol with another officer." Colton said while giving me the damn look.

"Fine I give that ass a call. But I will tell you this, I can't trust anyone with Drew after all he was the reason she went out on patrol." I said while going to the kitchen and dialing his number. I heard three rings when a voice.

"Hello?" came a northern accent

"Where are you?" I asked as nicely as I could

"Well hello to you too Derek. In Washington D.C. why?" he asked

"I-I need your help." I said swallowing my pride

"Well that's strange an Irons asking for help." he said

"Shut the fuck up Parker." I snapped

"Okay I get it. Where are you?" Parker asked

"You know where to find me in D.C." I said hanging up the phone.

-Drew-

"Time to do a little shopping." a thick South African male voice said while looking at all the guns Colton had in his house. I watched as the tall dark skin male wrapped a huge arm around the small Scottish woman. The height difference was almost like Derek and Kayla.

"Jak! Stop it what if the General see!" the small woman said quietly while smacking his hand away from her.

"Relax Echo. Its fine." Jak said while laughing and handing her a gun almost a big as her.

"Jak have you seen Tray?" came a thick French female voice coming in with two pistols in her hands.

"Try the larger gun sections Kal." Echo said while fiddling with her braid.

"Drew come here." Colton said pulling from the conversation I was listening to. I followed him until he grabbed a black box and placing it right in front of me. I looked at him for a second then opened the box. Sitting in the box was two sleek black pistols. I grabbed one of them and held it.

"They belonged to your mother when she worked as a JOE." Colton said causing me to turn my head towards him.

"My mom? Allen failed to mention that she did military work." I said pulling out the pistol I had tucked behind my back and compared the two.

"You use that gun a lot. Who gave it to you?" he asked motioning to the gun in my left hand.

"...Duke gave it to me. I lost my personal ones out on a mission and was in need of one and he gave me it while he used the larger gun we found." I said placing Duke's back in it spot before picking up the other one.

"What happened to make you and your father to have bad blood between the two of you?" Colton said making me stop in my tracks.

"That man didn't stop the JOES from taking me because he was doing it out of love, no he stop them from recruiting me because he wanted someone to take the heat from his mistakes. He couldn't use Derek because he was just promoted to General at age twenty-four while I was just promoted to Captain at twenty. I will never forgive him especially since he never had any plans on raising me." I said while leaving to find someone else to talk to fully aware of Allen Irons listening to the conversation in the next room.

I walked back into the kitchen and looked out the window and saw Derek was in a heated argument with someone hiding behind the tree in Colton's yard. I looked around and saw everyone was in the kitchen.

'Now who in the hell is he talking to?' I thought then snuck out of the kitchen and to the front yard. I rubbed my stomach when it started to act up while walking and started to make out some the conversation.

"Why should I forgive you when you caused that?" Derek snapped

"Derek I never want to send her out on patrol! Okay? I had her put her out there because the men thought I was playing favorites and the General ordered it." came a familiar northern accented voice.

'What is he doing here!' I thought and picked up my pace and saw a tall male with wheat colored hair and brown eyes.

"Parker?" I asked making both turn their heads towards me. Parker was near Derek's height but like four inches shorter and his build was similar to Duke's. I haven't see him since I was a rookie and he found me bleeding out on patrol.

"Hey Drew." Parker said then had a glaring match with my cousin.

"Enough!" I shouted making both look at me again and this time I grabbed Parker's wrist and pulled him away from my cousin.
