Author's Note: On to the next chapter!

Shit I just realized there are only nine episodes left of season 2! Can you believe it?

Enjoy!

Apparently, Klaus had found Rebekah. Or rather, the body that Rebekah was currently inhabiting, and Rebekah found us. Oh, and apparently, Klaus, Rebekah, and Elijah have an extra older sister.

Why couldn't life in this family be easy just once?

I was still in the bayou, helping Jackson and Hayley with wedding prep. Jackson was really surprised when I told him that Charlotte was still alive, but he was really supportive too. He vowed to take the secret to his grave, and I knew I ultimately made the right decision trusting Jackson.

We had also done more research on the merge, too. Since I could still perform bits of magic here and there (I couldn't summon it at will. It only happened during times where I really, really concentrated), I would be the one performing the merge. Hayley and I would have to made cuts on our palms, put our hands together, and let our blood mix. I know, it sounded like a sure fire recipe for AIDS, but it was the only choice that we had. After we did that, I'd mutter the spell, and it should be done.

I was now on a three way call with my family, the Mikaelsons, as we all discussed where to go from here.

"That is just not my chin, Nik. It was much more delicate," Rebekah complained. It was strange hearing a voice that wasn't hers, but the words that came out could only come from Rebekah's mouth.

"The only delicate thing about you, sister, is your ego," Klaus retorted.

"Well, placed next to the behemoth size of yours, certainly!" Rebekah threw back, and the two shared a good natured laugh.

"Could we dispense with this fascinating dispute for just a moment and return to the subject of our supposed long-lost sister?" Elijah cut in.

I still felt weird in Elijah's presence, but I made how I felt clear and I shouldn't feel bothered. "Yeah, I'm more concerned with that than Rebekah's delicate features," I tossed in. I was standing on the back porch of Hayley's old shack (the one the two of us shared while we stayed in the werewolf encampments), and I leaned against the railing as Rebekah continued.

"There's not much to discuss," she said. "She said she was Freya, and then she darted off into the night."

"And you believed her?" Elijah prompted.

"Well, I met the girl in a mystical loony-bin- she could be anyone telling any lie," Rebekah pointed out. "But, she did seem... familiar, somehow."

"Then how is she still alive?" Klaus asked in frustration, and I could practically see him rolling his eyes as he paced anxiously around whatever room he was in. "A question, as ridiculous as its possible solutions, given this family's annoying predilection for cheating death."

Rebekah sighed on the other line. "I dunno, Nik, I'm just telling you what she said!"

"Well, did you happen to ask, if by some similar miracle, our aunt Dahlia lives as well?" the hybrid asked.

"I barely had a chance to process-" she started, but Klaus cut her off.

"-Because on the list of obvious questions, it would be nice to know if the woman who placed a curse on the first-borns of this family is still breathing air," he said.

"Well, let me just turn back time and do it again to your liking, then!" Rebekah growled.

I groaned. "Cut it out! If Freya is Freya, we'll know. We're the Mikaelsons-we find things out no matter what."

"Juliet's right," Elijah agreed. "For now, it remains imperative that no one learns of Charlotte's existence. This has been our salvation thus far."

"Unless Hayley's husband-to-be starts flapping his gums," Klaus said, a smile clear in his voice. "Perhaps I should take preventative measures and separate him from his head?"

"Sure, then I'll rip out your vocal cords and see how funny it is when you can't laugh," I bit, and I could tell Klaus had a reapproachful look on his face. "Jackson's already promised not to talk about Charlotte. He's not gonna mess up the wedding."

Rebekah gasped. "Hayley's getting married?!"

I bit my lip, realizing I forgot to tell her since I hadn't seen her in so long.

Rebekah sighed. "Well, what in hell else did I miss?"

"That sounds like a sibling conversation," I said quickly. "I'll talk to you guys later." With that, I hung up my phone and pocketed it. Hearing movement from the front, I walked over to see Hayley and Jackson sitting on the ground.

"What's the news with the Mikaelsons?" Hayley asked as I sat down in front of Jackson.

"They're trying to figure out if Freya is really who she says she is," I reported. "But right now, my focus is this wedding." Something in Jackson's hands caught my attention, and I nodded at it. "What's that?"

"Oh!" Jackson said as he stood up and moved to the porch while Hayley and I followed. He stopped in front of a sheet covered mound in the corner. "I started on this for your little girl when you lived here before. Now that she's alive-" He pulled off the sheet, revealing a half-finished baby crib made out of wood with a crescent moon carbed into the headboard. I felt myself fill with warmth as I looked from the crib to Jackson. "-I figured it was time to finish it."

I grinned as I went over to him, giving him a tight hug. "Jack, this is amazing! But why were you making it?"

"You're family, Jules," Jackson said simply. "I knew, because back then you were an untriggered werewolf, you didn't feel connected to the pack, not in the same way the rest of us were. That's why the crescent moon is there," he said, pointing to it. "It was supposed to be done by the time she was born."

I smiled again as I gave him another hug. As he hugged me to his chest, he looked over at Hayley. "Something else... I'm getting word from a few packs outside of Louisiana?" He started. "They wanna be here for the wedding! They want in on the Unification ritual!"

"I thought the ritual only affected the powers of the wolves in our pack?" Hayley asked in confusion.

"Unless they recognize me as their Alpha," Jackson said excitedly. "Then your power-once it becomes your power-becomes their power!"

"You think their Alphas will step down and bow to you?" I asked.

Jackson nodded. "They're coming here today to do just that."

Hayley and I looked at each other, and I could tell she was just as overwhelmed with this as I was. This wasn't supposed to blow up into this huge thing.

Jackson, noticing our silent conversation, said, "They want what you have, Jules. I mean, we all do. I mean, a couple of weeks after the wedding, you are gonna have one hell of an army to protect your little girl."

I couldn't help but smile at the thought, and I looked over at Hayley. "Looks like we're going to have to cook extra tonight, then!"

I wrapped my scarf snuggly around my neck. The wind had started picking up later in the day, and I could start to feel it affecting me.

Hayley and I were walking and talking, discussing some details about the wedding (I was the maid of honour, of course), but we came to a stop in front of our old shack, where we caught sight of Jackson wrestling and playing with a group of little kids. They were all pulling on his arms and legs to try to get him to fall over as Jackson laughed happily.

I couldn't help but laugh at the sight, and I looked over to see my cousin laughing too. "Well, there's one thing you can be sure about," I started, and she looked over at me. "He's gonna be great with the kids, when you guys have them, that is," I finished. "He's also gonna make a great Uncle Jackson."

One kid suggested going down to the lake, and most of the rest follow, except for one little girl, who stayed behind and kept tugging on Jackson's arm to get him to fall over. He grinned as he picked her up and swung her around, but when he caught sight of the two of us watching, he put her down and ruffled her hair gently. With that, the little girl went running after the group of kids, yelling, "Wait for me!"

"Looks like I've got some competition!" Hayley said as we walked over to Jack.

He laughed. "Unfortunately for Daisy, I am a one-woman kind of guy."

"You better be, or I'll neuter you," I teasingly threatened, earning me a good natured smirk from Jackson.

"The meeting's taking place at Mary's," Hayley said.

I missed what Jackson said next, because a familiar scent was carried by the winds to my nose. It took a second for it to register, but once it did, I turned to my friends. "Hey, why don't you two go on ahead? I'll be right there."

"Are you sure?" Hayley asked.

I nodded. "Yeah, I just need to go ask Uriah something," I offered, and the two of them nodded as they joined hands and left for Mary's cabin. As soon as the two were gone, I vamp-sped over to a more wooded area nearby, where I caught exactly who I was expecting to see. I shoved at him from behind, catching him off guard.

"Ahhh! Whoa!" Marcel startled as I crossed my arms over my chest. He nervously put his hands up to show that he wasn't a threat. "Wait! I'm not here to hurt you!"

"Yeah, I can see that from your stalking me like I'm a deer," I threw back, leaning forward on the balls of my feet. "You're extremely lucky that we're friends and that I care about your well being, or your blood would be all over my lips and your head a trophy in my hands."

"Okay, remember our friendship when I tell you why I'm here," Marcel started. "Finn sent me to get your blood."

I gave him a look of confusion. "And Finn wants this, why?"

"I assume he needs it for a locator spell... to find your daughter," Marcel informed me.

And it felt like my stomach dropped all the way to the pits of the Earth.

Finn...Finn knew that Charlotte was still alive, I thought to myself, the horror and devastation clear on my face. "No," I whispered to myself. I quickly pulled myself together, looking around anxiously to make sure no one was watching or listening before turning back to Marcel. "How did he find out?"

"He put two and two together," he answered.

"Where's he now?" I demanded.

"I don't know. He said he'd tell me where to meet him later," Marcel responded. "But listen- I gotta give him something. He's killing one of my guys every hour until he gets it."

"Damn it," I whispered to myself, running my fingers through the top of my head down to the back. "Damn it!" I said louder as I stomped my foot. I reached into my pocket, feeling for my phone as I pulled it out. "I-I have to call Klaus," I said to Marcel, stepping away from him.

My fingers shook as I found and clicked his name. I felt the overwhelming urge to throw up as I anxiously bit my nails, waiting for Klaus to pick up. When he finally did, he barked, obviously in an already foul mood, "What is it, Juliet?"

"We have a problem."

Klaus told me that the best plan was for me to stay in the bayou and continue helping Hayley and Jackson. I told him he was out of his damn mind, but he was too far away; I never would've made it in time to help anyways.

By the time I got to Mary's cabin, she had gathered all of the Alphas of the packs intending to join us Crescents. She set up the ingredients for the ritual to bind them to Jackson and Hayley's pack. She waved a smudge-stick of sage over a bowl before turning to Jackson and the other Alphas.

"Wolves are bonded by what is most important to us. The earth of our territory. The blood of our packs," Mary recited.

As she walked over to the Alphas, I snuck over to Jackson and Hayley. "We have a problem!" I whispered.

"What's wrong?" Hayley asked in concern.

I looked around myself before turning back to the two of them and tapped my ears. "Too many ears." A quick peek over their shoulders showed that the Alphas were each pouring a handful of grain into the bowl to symbolize merging their packs. I looked back over at Jackson. "I need some of your blood."

Jackson and Hayley both gave me puzzled looks, and I shook my head. "I'd ask Hayley, but it's too big of a risk. It's-it's a stall. I'll explain everything later."

They both nodded in understanding, and Jackson looked over at Mary and the Alphas. "Well, your timing's perfect."

The Alphas each took a blade and sliced open their palms to bleed into the bowl in turn.

"Mixing these elements, we irrevocably bind ourselves to one another, creating a new Crescent pack," Mary declared. "I ask each one of you- do you renounce your Alpha status?"

All the Alphas knelt in front of Jackson. Mary brought the blade and bowl over to him, and he sliced his own palm to bleed into the bowl. Mary left with the bowl, and I stepped forward to sneak a vial of Jackson's blood.

Once I got it, I met back with Marcel at our old shack. I handed it to him as I said, "Klaus said it was all just a plan to keep us distracted. He's going after her, I have to get there."

I turned around to leave, but Marcel grabbed my arm and pulled me back. "Whoa, wait! You said so yourself, it's six hours away. Finn's already there."

"You can't just expect me to stand here and do nothing, Marcel!" I retorted, feeling tears threaten at the thought of Charlotte in danger. "That is my little girl! I made a promise to always protect her and I intend to keep that promise!" With that, I tried to leave again, but Marcel tugged harder on my arm.

"You listen to me- there is no way that Elijah is gonna let anything happen to your baby girl today!" Marcel threw back. "So, go help Jackson and Hayley build the army that'll help keep her safe tomorrow."

I felt like ants were crawling all over me, but I knew Marcel was right. I sighed in defeat before nodding. "You're right. I'm gonna go find Hayley."

Back at Mary's, she held a sheet of parchment called "Pledge of Fealty" in her hands. It was basically a piece of paper that the Alphas of the other packs signed as part of the ritual to induct them into our wolf clan. Mary had crushed herbs into a paste, which she then smeared onto the bottom of the treaty.

"After the anointing of the Alphas, will be the final seal of our-" She started, but she cut herself off as she gaped at something in the distance.

Squinting revealed Gia and a whole hoard of vampires swarming around Jackson and the Alphas, looking hungry and weakened, which was obviously a very bad thing.

I caught sight of Gia's eye-veins starting to pop out in hunger, and suddenly, all the vampires pounced on the Alphas.

"Stop!" I screamed as I ran over to her. "Gia, you don't have to do this!"

"I'm sorry, but I do," she said guilty, and she immediately vamped out and fed on one of the Alphas.

With that, I ran over to Gia and threw her off of the Alpha. She landed somewhere far away, but I didn't see where as I caught sight of a vampire about to attack Hayley.

"No!" I screamed as I vamp sped over to her. I pounced on the vampire and broke her neck. She went crashing to the ground as I stepped over the body and over to Hayley. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," she nodded. "Where's Jackson?"

I quickly scanned the crowd until I found him, and Marcel was behind him, breaking the neck of a vampire that was trying to get the jump on Jackson. Hayley and I ran over to where they were as we caught Marcel saying, "We just need to keep them at bay until Finn's spell is breaks."

"It's a hell of a spell!" Jackson growled.

I nodded to Jackson, Hayley, and Marcel. "Get the Alphas to the cabin. I'll hold them off."

Jackson and Hayley both nodded as they ran to lead the Alphas to Mary's cabin, where they would be safe because they couldn't enter.

"Try and keep my guys alive," Marcel asked me.

I nodded at him. "Right back at'cha." With that, I formed a fist and swung at a vampire, punching him in the face before snapping the necks of two of them in a row with one hand. I kept going, occasionally looking over my shoulder to make sure that Marcel, Jackson, and Hayley were doing as I said and getting the Alphas and Mary safely into the cabin. But to my horror, once they were safely in, the vampires were leaping onto the roof in an attempt to get in.

"Marcel, you got any idea how to end this?" Jackson asked.

"Just weather the storm until we figure that out," Marcel replied.

"All right, then," I said as I let my werewolf eyes show. "Let's do this."

I furiously fought against the starving vampires, spinning and kicking them as hard as I could. They would get in scratches here and there, which would drive them even crazier because I was part werewolf and had half regular blood, but I managed to beat them before they could get to me.

I pushed one vampire too hard off of me, and he stumbled over his feet as he landed on a pile of wood. To my horror and eternal guilt, one of the sticks accidentally impaled his heart, the tip poking out of his bleeding chest.

I heard rustling behind me, and I immediately spun on my heels and held my fists up, ready to punch if I had to. The vampire that was behind me was Gia, who was now glaring at me openly for what I had done.

I felt terrible about it, and I felt terrible over the fact that I might have to kill Gia to save my own people. But I made a promise to Marcel, and I had to try to keep that promise. "I really don't want to kill you, Gia."

Suddenly, Gia fainted before she could do anything, and Marcel just barely caught her before she hit the ground. I looked around myself to see that the rest of the vampires had crumpled to the ground as well, and Marcel and I looked at each other in confusion.

"They broke the spell," Marcel concluded.

I helped Marcel carry the unconscious bodies of his vampires outside in the yard. Just as I stood up to go get another one, I heard running, and I looked over my shoulder to see Hayley running over to me. "Jules!"

I sighed in relief when I saw that she was okay, and I welcomed the hug that she gave me when she stopped in front of me. When we both pulled back, Jackson had reached us.

"I'm so glad you're okay, Julie," Jackson said as he leaned forward to give me a hug, which I returned.

When I pulled away, I looked at the two of them. "Charlotte's gonna be fine. I know that Elijah can protect her. But what happened today with the attacks...you guys know they're only gonna get worse, right?"

When they both nodded, I continued, "That means that we have to do the merge right away. And get the two of you married as soon as possible."
