"Moonkit go hide in the bushes over there." Rabbitstrike ordered the young kit before facing the fox.

The fox gave a low growl as it caught a whiff of her scent. Rabbitstrike wasn't afraid though, far from it. In fact she was angry, angry with Owlfeather, angry with Ivypool and Mousestar, angry with the whole of Windclan. She remembered Ivypool talking behind her back, remembered Mousestar exiling her, remembered Featherwind and how she treated her growing up. What made her pounce at the fox though was when she remembered Jaymist treating her just like the other cats in the clan. He was her father, he was suppose to support her!

Rabbitstrike sunk her claws into its snout as she dashed forward, jumping back quickly when it tried to snap off her paw. It then charged at her, snarling with angry glinting amber eyes as as it snapped its jaws where Rabbitstrike use to be. She had jumped to the right, narrowly avoiding it sharp teeth and used the opportunity to rake her claws over its left eye. It howled in pain and jumped back, shaking its head roughly before launching itself at her again. She ducked as its large paw swiped over her head and slide under it, reaching up and started tearing at its belly. It yelped and jumped, head reaching under itself to snap at her tail. Rabbitstrike rolled away and stood on all four paws again, back arched and fur bristled as she hissed angrily. She then jumped back as it tried to claw at her and rolled away when it tried to pounce.

Rabbitstrike got her hits on it, clawing and nipping at its legs, raked her claws a few times down its flank. She felt unstoppable, her pent up rage being released was like a starving cat finally eating its first mouse after a whole moon. A great feeling it was, alive and invincibility. It was amazing, nothing could beat her, she was unstoppable!

Rabbitstrike stopped for a moment as she heard a familiar squeaky groan, she spun around and felt her heart stop when she noticed who it was

Goldenkit coughed, sides heaving her eyes looked at her with an almost dull stare. She's alive?! Rabbitstrike thought, puzzled. She was about to run away when she felt paws jam into her left lung. A broken yowl left her as the fox knocked her a ways away. She landed with a thud, body temporarily paralyzed as it absorbed the shock as well as cold and wet snow. The fox advanced on her, it's eyes glowing with the prey that was in front of it. It started growling and snarling as blood dropped down it's shredded snout and torn nose as if ready for revenge on her making the scars.

Another cough was heard as Goldenkit weakly raised her head, large ears plastered to her head. Her body was racked with tremors in the cold, snow covering almost all of her body. "R-Rabbitstrike?" She croaked. The fox stopped and turned her way, growling lowly before it started stalking her and away from it pretentious target.

"R-Rabbitstrike! Help!" She yelped before breaking off into a fit of coughs. Clearly the fox felt like going for a different target instead of her.

Rabbitstrike growled as she struggled to stand. Her mind was focused on one thing, her kit. The shock was slowly passing over her body, feelings returning back to her numb limbs as she shook her head and struggled to keep up. "Just let her die," Lionclaw ghostly voice hissed at her, Rabbitstrike guessed that he was sitting beside her with his tail perfectly wrapped around her paws.

"I can't!" She hissed looking back and remembering he wasn't really there.

Rabbitstrike could almost guess that Lionclaw narrowed his eyes at her. "Why you feel the need to protect these kits is beyond me. If you truly feel the need to protect her than act like the Dark Forest warrior you are and kill that fox!" He urged Rabbitstrike imagined him standing there his dangerous amber eyes flicking his tail towards the fox.

Rabbitstrike nodded, feeling something drip from her side and splattering in the snow underneth her. With a growl she dashed towards the fox, who was now towering over the frightened Goldenkit and jumped on its back with a yowl. A sharp pain exploded in her side as she did so but she paid it no attention. She was a Dark Forest warrior; she could kill a mangy fox! Pain now completely ignored and replaced with a surge of rage and adrenaline taking a running leap she jumped on the fox in surprise. She quickly then dug her fore claws into its scruff to secure itself, then proceeded to cruelty shred its back.

"Use your training Rabbitstrike. This fox isn't but another Featherwind, only larger." Lionclaw whispered.

And oh how easier with was to focus on the enemy when she pictured them being someone she loathed the most. With new vigor she redoubled her efforts, snarling and clinging tightly when it howled and tried to toss her off. She slide down its side, claws still stuck in its scruff and twisting almost painfully. Goldenkit shrieked in fright trying to go deeper in the ground, but Rabbitstrike didn't hear her. The fox slung her again, her head coming in contact with its neck. And there it was, the pulse.

The fox's pulse.

Featherwind's pulse.

Beating do deliciously loud in her ear.

It had to stop.

Featherwind was dead, but she could kill her again. No, it wasn't Featherwind, rather it was Ivyfrost's pulse. And she must die! She yowled in her mind. Without a second thought she turned her head and latched it into the fox's neck, Ivyfrost's neck, trying to suffocate it. It whined loudly and shook her harder, so hard that it went on two paws and threw her off. Rabbitstrike landed in the snow with a loud oof, panting and trying to breath. Then she realized she had fur in her mouth. Angrily she spat it out and stared at it.

Shocked, Rabbitstrike looked back at the fox and watched with wide eyes. The fox was limping away, but blood was heavily dropping from everywhere when the fur had been torn off, along with skin and flesh. It stumbled and fell, flank heaving sharply as it tried to breath. Cautiously Rabbitstrike stalked towards it, stopping when she was in front of its face. It looked at her, eyes glaring as it tried to growl but only made a gargling noise.

"You attack my kits, you die." She hissed coldly at it with bared fangs, watching with satisfaction as it's eyes glazed over in fear before slowly going lifeless, it's body stopped moving. Rabbitstrike almost felt sorry for not ending the foxes life easier but instead she felt power flow through her limbs.

"Very good, remember how much better it is to kill without mercy." Lionclaw meowed as his voice faded out.

"R-Rab-bbitstrike?" A mew called out to her. Rabbitstrike turned to the frightened she kit. She was trembling and covered in blood.

Mouse brain kit. She thought angerly for dragging her into this mess.

"You killed it." The kit gasped, eyes wide in wonder. "All by yourself, and you killed it to protect me."

Rabbitstrike growled at her. "You mouse brain! You almost died because you ran off! You would've died!" She scolded. Goldenkit looked sheepish and looked away.

"Don't be mean to her!" Moonkit squealed running out from behind the bush and rubbing Goldenkit's muzzle.

"I-I'm sorry." Goldenkit meowed, Rabbitstrike thought she was going to side with her sister and say how mean she was. "But you killed it and protected me. I'll listen more often now and I won't be an annoying kit anymore I promise!" Awe was filled in the small kit's eyes now, her small shivering tail erect in excitement. Rabbitstike narrowed her eyes and walked over to her and was instantly assaulted with wave after wave of pain from her side. It was way worse than before.

A hiss tore through her teeth, making Goldenkit's eyes widen. "You're bleeding! Oh no Rabbitstrike you're going to die!"

"No I'm not!" She clipped and continued to limp her way over to the small golden kit. "Let's get back to the clan."

The three walked back together, Goldenkit walking on the side of Rabbitstrike that was not bleeding. Moonkit was walking a little ways back, Rabbitstrike tried to ignore the anger radiating off of Moonkit. It struck the older she cay that no cat came for them or sent for back up.

Those mange pelt badgers! The will all die!

Rabbitstrike was the first to walk into the camp, where upon she was met by Ivyfrost and her wave of impatient questions. "Murderer! Where is Goldenkit! Who's blood is that?!" She accused.

Rabbitstrike snarled threateningly at her. "If you sent back you would've know it to be fox blood you bird brain!"

"I'm fine! Rabbitstrike saved me from the fox!" Goldenkit's excitedly squealed pushing her way between the two angry she-cats. Ivyfrost eyes widened.

"You mean, you trust this cat! You where injured you could of humiliated that Rabbitstrike was a fox." Ivyfrost hissed.

"I am not anything like a fox!" Rabbitstrike hissed through gritted teeth. Ivyfrost's eyes gleamed.

"You sure act like one!"

"Come over here and I'll show you how a true warrior fights!" Rabbitstrike challeged, Ivyfrost stepped forward but stopped as Weaselfoot burst out of the medicine den.

"Goldenkit!" Weaselfoot exclaimed, breaking up the fight that they nearly had. "Thank Starclan you're on! Is that blood?! Why is she covered in blood?!"

"She was in the way is why. The fox tried to kill her so I had to hastily end it." Rabbitstrike replied, wincing while she did. Her side was killer her now. Hopefully Lionclaw doesn't call for me tonight. She thought with a grimace. It would be too hard for her to train.

Moonkit pushed Goldenkit roughly towards the medicine den.

"Common, you need your wounds healed." Moonkit's words where dull and full of anger, Rabbitstrike winced as Moonkit shot her a You stole my sisters relationship, I won't forget this look

"Rabbitstrike didn't kill that fix all by herself! That's impossible!" Fireblaze hissed. Rabbitstrike threw him a challenging glare.

"Go see for yourself."

"Maybe I will!" Fireblaze meowed his fur on his spine lifting.

Hesitantly the others looked around, and it was Mousestar who broke the tension. "Four of you go out and search for the fox! Quickly!" Fireflame, Ivyfrost, Cherryheart, and Jaymist dashed out of camp quickly, and while they were away Skyheart ushered Rabbitstrike into the medicine den to treat her.

Rabbitstirke yawned as Eaglekit curled up next to her. Moonkit refused to even talk to her and Goldenkit was still in the nursery. She rested her head on her paws and let sleep over power her.
