May 28th

Christian: Andy, look I know I've hurt you but please, just call me back OK. Text me even. Just so I know you're OK.

May 30th

Christian: Andy, I know you're abgry with me and I don't blame you. Please, I need to explain everything. I really can explain.

June 4th

Christian: It's me. Again! Please And, I... I miss having you around. It's been weeks and I... Please, just let me know you're OK.

June 8th

Christian: I'm getting worried now! I'm starting to think you're avoiding me! Please Andy, I'm sorry. I really am. Please call me, I miss you.

June 13th (2:47pm)

Christian: This is the last time, I promise! Roxy's throwing me a birthday party in the Vic on Tuesday and I want you to come. Please, for me. I don't want the other night to be the way we leave things. I want to see you Andy, I miss you. Please just... I don't know... just call me back. I can't stand what I've done to you and I need to apologise. Not on the phone, in person. You've done so much for me these past few months and I've never once said thank you to you. Please Andy, just call me. Or come to the party at least? I want you there. It's at 7. Please come or I'll have to unleash Roxy on you and trust me, you don't want that!! I'll see you soon yeah?

June 13th (2:49pm)

Andy lay in his bed as he listened to his messages and he couldn't help but smile. He knew it! He knew it would work. A few hurtful words, a few tears in his eyes and it all fell into place. Christian realised that he couldn't do this alone and he needed him. Andy knew that, when he left in a few days, he wouldn't be leaving alone. He'd have Christian with him.

He walked over to his wardrobe and opened the doors. Now, he thought to himself, do I go for smart or casual?

June 13th (2:51pm)

Roxy: Well?

Christian: Answer phone.

She walked up beside him and linked her arm through his. She hated seeing him like this and, ever since last Christmas, she felt like she had no idea who her best friend was anymore.

Roxy: He'll be here babe.

Christian: I just feel so lousy Rox! I treated him like shit and I wouldn't blame him if he never wanted to see me again.

Roxy: Come on babe. He'll call you back.

Christian: I doubt it.

Roxy: He's not going to leave things like this is he?! He's just cooling off a bit, that's all.

Christian: For 2 weeks?! Face it Rox, I've blown it.

Roxy: I thought you weren't interested in him?

Christian: So just because I don't want to sleep with him I can't worry about him can I? I can't miss him?

Roxy: Alright! I only asked!

Christian: Sorry babe.

He was snapping more and more recently.

Roxy: You couldn't get a crate from the cellar for me could you?

Christian: Yeah, course.

As soon as he was out of sight, Roxy grabbed his phone, scrolled through the phone book, typed Andy's number into her own phone and put it back before Christian walked back into the bar. She wasn't going to let this go. He needed cheering up and she was going to make sure that he was going to have a smile on his face before the week was over.

Christian: Where do you want them?

Roxy: Just over there babe. Um, can you watch the bar for a minute? I've got to pop out.

Christian: Yeah.

Roxy: Thanks

Christian: Where are you going?

Roxy: I wont be long.

Roxy walked around the corner and sat on the swings. Knowning she wouldn't be interrupted she took out her phone and found Andy's name. Hoping she wasn't making things worse she pressed call and waited.

Andy: Hello?

Roxy: Andy? Andy it's Roxy, don't hang up.

Andy smiled as soon as he heard her voice. He didn't expect to hear from her yet. Things were moving along quicker than he thought.

Andy: I'm not going to hang up.

Roxy: Thanks.

Andy: What can I do for you? Or do I already know the answer?

Roxy: Are you really going to leave without seeing him again?

Andy: What's he told you?

Roxy: Nothing much. Just that he's treated you like shit and he misses you.

Andy: Misses me? Yeah right!

Roxy: He does actually. I've lost count the amount of times he checks his phone to see of you've phoned him or text him. He's moving about the place like some little kid who's had all his sweets taken away from him. He's miserable Andy.

Andy: Really?

Roxy: Really.

Andy: He's been miserable for months Rox. This has nothing to do with me.

Roxy: Of course it does! You're all he talks about.

Andy smiled on the other end of the phone. He was so predictable and now he had him exactly where he wanted him. He was thinking of him, not Syed. Him.

Roxy: No offence but he talks about you that much that you're starting to get on my nerves!

Andy laughed.

Andy: Thanks!

Roxy: Please, he's missing you.

Andy: I don't know Rox, he's hurt me.

Roxy: I know that babe but... do you really want to leave things like this?

Andy faked a sigh and tried to hide his smugness.

Andy: What time's the party?

Roxy smiled. She'd cracked him. All he needed was to hear that he'd been missed, to be shown that little glimmer of hope

Roxy: 7.

Andy: Fine, I'll be there. But don't tell him OK. I want to surprise him.
