Review:
Ichigo walked into the room to see her already getting under the covers. Chuckling, he changed as well, before going to open the balcony doors a little. Going to the bed, he climbed in beside her. Barely managing to lay down before she seemed to attach herself to him. "Goodnight Orihime," he said, chuckling at her low hum, before he wrapped his arms around her. Smiling as he closed his eyes.
Later on that morning
Opening her eyes, Orihime yawned, and stretched a bit. Sensing movement beside her, she smiled, and looked to see Ichigo. He was awake, and was currently watching her. Feeling mischievous, she moved, and pushed his shoulders back. Then moved on top of him, before she kissed him.
"Well good morning," Ichigo said, when Orihime momentarily broke their kiss to push her hair out of the way. "I ordered-" He was interrupted when she kissed him again. "Room service." He finished through her kisses, before giving up on talking. As he was able to tell that Orihime clearly didn't want to talk this morning. Returning her kisses, as his hands went to her waist.
However, before it could go much further, the sound of a knock on the front door of their condo was heard. Which Orihime stopped their kiss, and sighed. Pulling back from Ichigo.
Ichigo smiled at her expression, as he reached a hand up to her face. "You look so disappointed."
"Because I am," Orihime replied, still not moving off of where she was sitting on top of Ichigo.
"Think of the positives," Ichigo said, still smiling at her. "It's food that's interrupting. I even got you a chocolate milkshake."
The sound of another knock on their door was heard, and Orihime smiled. "That is a positive," she said, before moving to get off of Ichigo. Buttoning back the button on her nightgown that had been undone during their heated kisses.
Ichigo got up from the bed, and picked up a t-shirt. Slipping it on, as he jogged out of their room.
A good thirty minutes later, they had finished eating, and Orihime was in the bathroom. Brushing her teeth, and combing through the tangles in her hair.
Ichigo poked his head in the bathroom to look to Orihime. "Is it okay if I invite the others over to go down to the pool?"
"Yeah, that'd be fine," Orihime replied, having just started washing her face. Applying white creamy moisturizing face mask on her face.
Ichigo laughed seeing her with the moisturizer on her face. "That reminds me of looking over to you in the spa."
"Yeah, well you looked just like this yesterday too," Orihime said, smiling as she finished with the mask, and moved to wash her hands. "It's the same stuff they put on us yesterday. I couldn't help myself when they asked if I wanted to buy it. It works so well."
"I have to agree it was nice, but don't tell anyone I said that," Ichigo said, pulling his phone out of his pocket.
"Do you want me to give you a facial with this stuff Ichigo?" Orihime asked, smiling at the thought.
"I'll pass this time," Ichigo replied, laughing as he turned and left the bathroom.
Orihime grabbed her phone and checked the time. She was supposed to keep the mask on for ten minutes. Leaving the bathroom, she walked out to the balcony. The sun had started shining more as it rose in the sky. It felt nice and warm on her skin. Looking out onto the beach, she smiled at the peaceful atmosphere. No one was really out except for the occasional person every once in a while. Taking a breath, she turned and went back inside. Going to pick out her bathing suit as she waited for the time to take her mask off.
Almost an hour and a half later
"This whole vacation has gone by so quickly," Orihime said, leaning back against her lounge chair, as she juggled her water bottle between her hands.
"I know," Michiko agreed, flipping through a magazine, as her eyes barely glanced over to her side where Orihime was. "But, it's been so damn fun."
"That's for sure," Kira agreed, using her magazine as a make shift fan, to get some cool air on her face. The sun was beating down now, and it was already easy for her to get hot. So she was practically dying. "Wish we could be like Kimi and get to stay an extra day."
Their eyes traveled to the short black haired girl, who had been trying to keep out of the conversation. She had her magazine held up, and her sunglasses on her face. Attempting to ignore their stares grew difficult. Finally she sighed, and slapped her magazine down on her lap. "What do you want me to say? That I don't want to stay an extra day? I mean you all act like I'm just staying the extra day for the hell of it."
"Well, aren't you?" Orihime asked, raising an eyebrow.
Shaking her head, Kimi propped her elbow on the arm of her lounge chair, and rested her head on her hand. "Not exactly," she said, sighing once again, before explaining. "The reason I'm staying an extra day is because there is supposed to be some big family dinner with Keitaro's family tomorrow night. So while you all will be arriving back home, I'll be in some fancy cocktail dress forcing myself to smile, and pretend that I'm happy to be in uncomfortable heels all day."
"You were comfortable in them on the yacht," Michiko noted, her eyes focusing back on her magazine. "You were parading around in those heels like Katherine Pierce on The Vampire Diaries. That girl was fierce in heels in practically every scene she was in."
"That is completely different. If I was actually doing something like having fun for example, I would be able to push through the pain, but standing around smiling for a long time doesn't sound like fun," Kimi explained, groaning. "I don't even know if I'm at least excited that Keitaro actually wants me to go to this."
"Why wouldn't you be excited?" Kira asked, still waiving her magazine as a fan. "Being invited to family things is like serious in a relationship. I can't tell you how many guys I dated in high school that wouldn't even dare trying something like that, even if it was a long relationship."
Shrugging her shoulders, Kimi sighed, and picked up her magazine again. "I'm sure his family will end up questioning if we plan on being in a relationship for the rest of our lives. Talking about marriage and babies, and stuff like that."
"Well, are you planning on not doing that stuff with him?" Orihime asked, unscrewing the cap to her water bottle, and sipping at the water.
"Of course I think about it, and I picture myself with Keitaro that far down the line," Kimi said, before letting her head fall back against her lounge chair. "Even so, it's still a little early in our lives to be talking about marriage and babies." Her eyes went to Orihime and Kira then. "No offense or anything like that. You two rock for having your lives together even while being pregnant this young. But, for me, I'm just not someone who wants to have a family this early in my life."
Commotion from the guys was heard, and the girls looked over to the pool. Ichigo and Hayate were high-fiving. While Ryuu and Keitaro were cursing, saying how Ichigo and Hayate were cheating. They were playing water volleyball, and the game had been going on for a while.
"Okay," Kira said, looking away from the guys, and back to the girls. "This is going to drive me crazy. You know they're about to get really competitive, and make so much damn noise."
"Want to go out on the beach then?" Orihime asked them, and when they nodded, she started moving to stand up.
"Hey!" Michiko called over to the guys to get their attention before they could start to play again. Slipping off her cover over, she propped a hand on her hip, as she tossed the cover over on to her lounge chair. The guys eyes were on her. "We're going out onto the beach."
"Whatever you say Michi!" Ryuu called, grinning at the glare the blonde girl took on.
"Don't call me that!" Michiko exclaimed irritably.
Hayate just shook his head at Ryuu, before looking to his girlfriend. "Looking good babe, that a new suit?"
At Hayate's compliment, Michiko was completely distracted from Ryuu, as she looked over to Hayate to speak to him.
Ichigo's eyes were on Orihime, who had just taken off her black cover over. Revealing herself in a light blue strapless bikini. It had bright pink and orange flowers on it, with dark green leaves. Against her tanned skin, it made the blue seem bright. "Orihime, you good on sunscreen?"
Nodding her head, Orihime smiled, as her eyes met Ichigo's. "Yep, all good," she replied, her eyes noticed the grin on is face, and what he was implying. Her thoughts went back to the last time he put sunscreen on her, and she just shook her head. She and the other girls started towards the wooden path to the beach.
"We didn't see you put any sunscreen on when we came down here," Michiko noted, as they walked onto the beach.
"We took care of sunscreen before we came out here to meet you all," Orihime replied, not saying more as they stepped onto the beach. A smile on her face at the thought, before having to shake her head again. Focusing on Kimi again. "So, back to what you were saying earlier Kimi."
Noting Orihime changing the subject, Kimi let it slide, and nodded once. Walking into the ocean water up until about their knees, before they stopped. "Keitaro agrees with me about the family thing," she started, pausing to pull her short hair up off her neck.
Orihime had done the same with her longer hair, and smiled at how much easier it was to put her hair up with it's shorter length. It sure is hot out here. Even with this cool ocean water.
A few hours later
They were sitting in the little tiki bar and grill by the pools at the resort now. Having just finished up eating lunch. Orihime was the only one still eating, as she had got chicken fingers and two things of fries. As well as honey mustard on the side.
Kira had just finished up eating moments ago, and was leaning lightly against Ryuu, who had his arm wrapped around her shoulders. Her hands resting on her baby bump, and her eyes were closed.
"The weather is oddly nice today," Keitaro said, his eyes flickered around the sky. There wasn't a cloud in sight.
"Why do you say that?" Ichigo asked, noting Keitaro eyeing the sky.
"It's supposed to storm tomorrow. A pretty bad storm at that," Keitaro replied, his hands pulling his sunglasses off the top of his head, so he could put them on. The sun was shining brightly, and it was harder to see.
Ryuu nodded, as he was looking at his phone with his free hand. "I'm looking at the weather for tomorrow now, and it looks like it's supposed to start sometime around noon."
"Damn, leaving and going to the airport in the rain is going to be miserable," Michiko complained, her fingers stopped with the tapping across the keyboard on her phone, as she looked at the sky.
"I agree," Kira said, opening her eyes, but not moving from were she was comfortably leaning against Ryuu. "It's definitely not going to be fun having to deal with all of my stuff through the rain. I mean, it's not like I planned on looking nice or anything, because it'll be a long plane ride. And I'm going for as comfortable as possible, but still.
Orihime nodded in agreement with Kira. "Even with the comfortable outfit, my hair gets so easily tangled when it gets wet, and pulling it up is just like asking for me to have a headache later."
"Don't even go there," Kimi said, groaning as she rested a hand to her forehead. "At least you all are leaving when the storm is supposed to be starting. Keitaro and I leave the next day when the rain is supposed to be ten times worse, and the wind is supposed to be dreadful."
Ichigo grinned, as he looked to the other guys. "I'm glad we don't have these problems that they seem to always come up with."
Ryuu nodded in agreement, as he smirked. "Me too man," he said, his eyes catching sight of Kira yawning, and he looked to the others. "I'm thinking that we're going to go ahead, and get out of her now," he said, looking back to Kira. "That way you can take a nap before we go out tonight."
"I think we're going to go ahead and get going too. We're meeting at seven thirty right?" Hayate asked.
Ichigo nodded, as he and Orihime remained sitting as the others were getting up. "Seven thirty. Park in the East parking deck, because it's closer."
"And I already made the reservation at Silver's for dinner. It's going to be packed so I figured making a reservation would keep us from having to wait for hours on end," Keitaro said, as he took Kimi's hand.
"Alright, guess we'll see you all later," Michiko said, as she and Hayate left. Kimi and Keitaro left shortly after they did, leaving Kira and Ryuu.
"I'm making some of that trail mix we had last night at the movie," Kira said to Orihime, as she grabbed her bag. Which Ryuu took from her before she could even hold it for more than a few seconds. She just focused on Orihime. "Want me to bring you some?"
"Of course, that was delicious," Orihime replied, as she took a sip of her water. Waving goodbye to them before they left. After they left, she ate the last of her fries, before drinking down the rest of her water.
Ichigo moved his hand so it rested on her back, before smiling. "You ready to go ahead and go back up to the condo?"
Nodding, Orihime set her empty water bottle down, and dropped both hands to her baby bump. "Yes I am. She's been moving and kicking since we first came down here, and it's wearing me out."
Back up in condo
After going to the bathroom, Orihime changed out of her wet swimsuit, and into her favorite baggy sweatpants and a tank top. Once back in the living room, her eyes went to Ichigo. He was sitting on the couch, already changed out of his bathing suit, and had turned on the television.
When his eyes went to her, Ichigo laughed. "Sweatpants already? Usually you wait until night time before putting those on."
"Don't laugh at me," Orihime said, joining him on the couch, as her hands dropped to her baby bump. "I'm really uncomfortable right now, and this is the only thing I want to wear that doesn't bother me."
"Is baby girl still moving around a lot?" Ichigo asked, his eyes going to her baby bump.
Orihime sighed heavily, as she nodded. "She has settled down a bit, but my back is starting to hurt, and it's getting worse when I'm standing up. To be honest, it doesn't feel that great sitting here either."
"You can go lay down if that'll help. I don't mind," Ichigo said, motioning towards the television. "I'll just sit here, and watch Jersey Shore re-runs or something."
Orihime laughed, as she shook her head at him. "I want to stay out here," was all she said, before deciding to make herself more comfortable. Ending up laying on her right side, and her head resting on Ichigo's lap.
"Are you comfortable now?" Ichigo asked, grinning at her finally settling with her head on his lap. His hands had went to her hair, where he had tucked it back behind her ears, so he could see her face.
"Uh huh," was Orihime's reply, before she yawned.
"Good," Ichigo said, moving to grab a blanket off the back of the couch. Spreading it over Orihime, before he focused back on the television.
A couple hours later
Orihime pushed herself to sitting up on the couch, still feeling as uncomfortable as she did before. Her back ached, and baby girl was kicking away. I thought after getting a short nap in the back would have gone away, but I guess just not this time.
"Here you go," came Ichigo's voice, before he walked out of the kitchen. A plate with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on it. She had woke up craving it, so he offered to go make it for her.
"Thank you," Orihime said, accepting the plate from him, and leaning back against him when he sat down. Feeling one of his arms go around her, she sighed heavily. "Maybe I'll feel better after eating. We have another thirty minutes before we need to start getting ready to leave."
An hour later
Parking in the east parking deck, Orihime and Ichigo got out, and went to the elevator to go down to the ground floor. Orihime fighting the urge to yawn as they got into the elevator. She saw her reflection in the walls of the elevator. She was wearing light wash jean shorts, with a brown belt, dark navy blue tank top, and a cream colored lace vest over that. A long silver heart necklace that she wore on her make-up Valentines Day date with Ichigo.
Walking from the parking deck, they held hands to stay together through the crowded street. Getting close to the restaurant, they spotted Michiko and Hayate walking a little ahead of them.
Michiko had turned to see them not far behind, and stopped Hayate. When Orihime and Ichigo got closer, she grinned. "It's so crowded tonight."
"Yeah, it wasn't this bad when we came to eat here after the aquarium," Ichigo agreed, greeting Hayate with a handshake.
"This is definitely a popular place," Hayate said, as they walked inside.
Michiko's eyes focused on Orihime, who hadn't said anything yet, and noticed an uncomfortable look on her face. "You okay?"
"My back's just hurting a bit. I'm trying to get through it," Orihime replied, mustering up a smile to reassure Michiko she would be okay. Getting to the hostess, she was surprised when the hostess started talking.
"So what are you doing?! Just standing there to block everyone else who wants to eat?! Or are you planning on actually coming here to talk about getting a table?!" The hostess' voice was loud, and almost surprising to them.
Which this only made Orihime crack up laughing, as she brought a hand to cover her mouth. Trying not to be disrespectful. However she found the other people around were laughing to. Hayate moved to speak to the lady about finding their friends.
Michiko leaned over to Orihime and Ichigo. "This is apparently normal behavior from all of the staff here. This place is going to be a blast," she explained, before straightening up as Hayate motioned for them to come on.
They walked to a table where Ryuu, Kira, Keitaro, and Kimi were already seated at. They sat down, and Keitaro grinned at them. "Isn't this place already fun? It's only getting started."
Orihime, who had finally got over her fit of giggling, nodded a few times. "I'm going to die laughing if this is only the start."
"Same," Kira agreed, chuckling. "I'm going to have to go to the bathroom every five minutes, or I'll probably end up peeing myself from laughing."
"Where did you even find out about this place?" Michiko asked Keitaro, an eyebrow raised.
"This is staple place to eat on the island," Ryuu was the one to speak instead of Keitaro. "I had read about it before we even came here on this vacation."
Keitaro nodded in agreement. "This place needs to be visited at least once, because chances are you won't see another place like this."
Orihime's eyes flickered around the room. The walls were wooden, and the lights were all over the place, but not that bright. There was a few chandeliers made from colorful bottles hanging from the ceiling. As well as the menu was on these huge boards around the room. I've never been to a place like this. It's odd, but at the same time, it's probably the coolest restaurant I've been to on the island.
A waitress showed up, her hands pulling a pen out of her pocket. "I'm Midori, and I'll be your waitress this evening!" She spoke in the same loud voice their hostess did. "I'll be taking your orders for your drinks now! But, you all need to hurry up, an not waste my time here! I've got other things to be doing that waiting ten minutes for you to debate drinking a beer verses a coke, then end up deciding water in the end!"
That cracked them all up, before the ordered their drinks. After she left, Keitaro pointed to the menu up on the wall. "That's our menu then?"
"Yep. They don't do small menu's here," Keitaro said, grinning at the raised eyebrows of the others.
Scanning the menu, Orihime found herself craving everything on it. But, decide on the shrimp palooza. It had grilled shrimp, fried shrimp, jumbo shrimp. Served on dirty rice, corn and peppers, and plenty of spice on it. As well as some dipping sauces on the side.
Ichigo caught sight of Orihime shifting in her seat out of the corner of his eye, and he just leaned over. "Are you still uncomfortable?"
Orihime nodded, rubbing her baby bump. "Yeah. I'm hoping the medicine I took will kick in soon."
"Alright, I've got your drinks, so watch out! I won't be responsible if you cause me to spill your drink all over the place!" The waitress said in her loud voice, before passing out the drinks. "Now, you all need to tell me everything you want now, because I'm not making two trips for your lack of memory!"
After eating, almost two hours later
The sound of a waiter dropping something across the restaurant had erupted the restaurant in cheering and clapping around. Meanwhile a waitress was throwing napkins at guests at a nearby table, and the napkins went practically everywhere except the table.
"This place is crazy… I love it!" Orihime spoke happily through her laughter. Having felt much better after eating, and her medicine finally kicking in.
"I know, we should have came here sooner," Kimi agreed, still laughing.
Currently their waitress was writing on paper hats that was tradition for the restaurant to make for their guests. She wasn't letting them see what they what she was writing, so when she finally put each of their hats on their heads, they were laughing again.
Reading through the first few, Orihime and Kira were looking at both of theirs, and they literally having trouble breathing from laughing so hard. Kira's read, "That one time I skipped my birth control…", and Orihime's read "I promise it's just the hormones babe…". So when they read Ichigo's and Ryuu's it was just as funny. Ryuu's read, "My little guys were more lucky than I realized, #thebabydaddy", and Ichigo's read "Goodbye sex life, thanks a lot hormones #thebabydaddy".
Orihime was continuing laughing as she pulled out her phone. "Ichigo, take a picture with me."
"Alright, are you posting on Twitter or Facebook? Because I'm pretty sure my dad will think this is too much information," Ichigo replied, his arm lightly wrapped around Orihime, as they took their picture together.
"Your dad is just going to think it's funny Ichigo," Orihime said, grinning as she looked at the picture. This was the best restaurant we've been too all vacation.
An hour later, ten thirty
Orihime and Kira were happily eating funnel cakes at a small table just off the board walk. After leaving the restaurant, they walked down towards the beach where the board walk was. A little festival was going on now, so the others had immediately went to go play some games, as Kira and Orihime went for the food.
"How's your back?" Kira asked, her eyes moving from her funnel cake to Orihime.
"It's much better. Eating at the restaurant must have helped speed up the medicine working I guess? I don't know," Orihime said, laughing, before biting into another piece of funnel cake.
"That's good. I was going through the same thing yesterday," Kira groaned then, as she rubbed her baby bump. "He's weighing a lot more than I thought he would."
"She's getting heavier too," Orihime agreed after swallowing her bite of funnel cake.
"I'm looking more and more forward to my due date now," Kira said, smiling as she thought of the date. "May fifth, here I come!"
Orihime laughed at Kira's happy tone. "Really? Shouldn't you be wanting to keep your son inside for as long as possible?"
"Trust me, the further you get into your last ten weeks, makes you ready for the baby to get a move on, and join us in this world," Kira laughed, as she continued rubbing her bump. "I'll be waiting for that text to see just when you realize what I mean."
Sighing at that, Orihime rubbed her temple. "Well, with how sure you sound that I'll be doing that, maybe I should be worried," she said, before breaking off into laughter.
A few hours later, almost one thirty in the morning
"How long are these supposed to stay on?"
"They can last up to a good five weeks," Orihime answered Ichigo's question, her eyes on what he was talking about. Shortly after she and Kira had finished their funnel cakes, the others joined them again. They decided on getting henna tattoos next. So she and the other girls got one together on their upper arms. A little one of two elephants, and their trunks were crossing and curved to make a heart. Then the date written below. Ichigo, on the other hand, was speaking of the henna that he and Orihime got together on their forearms. It was the girl symbol, along with simple cursive writing saying 'baby girl', and her due date written underneath.
"Good, because I'm going to show this to all of our friends when we get back," Ichigo said, grinning at Orihime, as they walked into their condo.
They went to their bedroom, and changed into some pajamas. As soon as Orihime was done, she stopped at the end of the bed, and rested both hands on her baby bump as she was thinking.
Ichigo walked out of the bathroom, and raised an eyebrow at her standing there. "What are you doing?"
"I want waffles," was all Orihime said, before leaving their bedroom.
"Seriously? It's almost one thirty in the morning Orihime," Ichigo said, as he followed her to the kitchen.
"That doesn't make me want waffles any less," Orihime replied, going to get the mix to make the waffles with.
Soon they were both sitting out on the balcony, and Orihime had her waffles. She was sitting in-between Ichigo's legs, and leaning back against his chest. Her plate of waffles in front of her. It wasn't until after she was done eating, that she finally settled more back against Ichigo. Smiling as his arms wrapped around her. "It's so peaceful out here."
"I agree," Ichigo murmured, his face resting lightly against the back of her head. His nose exposed to the smell of her hair, and it made him smile. "It's our last night here."
"It's sad just thinking about how we have to go home tomorrow," Orihime said, taking in the soothing sounds of the waves crashing onto the beach. It was quiet for a few minutes, before she opened hers eyes. "I want to go take a bath."
"At almost two thirty in the morning?" Ichigo asked, grinning at her, as she had turned a little to look back at him.
Orihime nodded once, with a smile on her face. "At almost two thirty in the morning," she confirmed, moving to get up from the lounge chair.
Helping Orihime stand all the way up, Ichigo continued his grin at her. "I'll join you."
Later on that morning, around six thirty
The feeling of an circus going on inside of her woke Orihime up, and she groaned softly. Baby girl, it's early. I know I haven't actually opened my eyes yet to look at the time, but I can already tell that it's early. She thought, before forcing her eyes open. The clock on the bedside table read 6:26, and she groaned again. I was right, damn it. Feeling the circus inside of her continue, Orihime decided there was no chance she could get back to sleep, and moved to get up.
As the covers fell off of her to reveal her naked body, she remembered her and Ichigo's activities before falling asleep a little before four, and it made her smile. She grabbed the closest article of clothing to her, which happened to be a t-shirt of Ichigo's, and slipped it on over her head. Even with her baby bump, the shirt still was big on her, and went down to just above mid-thigh. Looking back to the bed, she smiled at the sight of Ichigo. He was still asleep, and he looked peaceful.
Going into the living room, then into the kitchen, Orihime started the coffee, before grabbing a honey bun from the cabinets. Pouring herself half a cup's worth of coffee once it was done, she filled the rest of the cup with peppermint mocha flavored creamer, and stirred it. This smells so good. She thought, at the peppermint hitting her nose. Moving back into the bedroom, she crossed it, and stepped outside onto the balcony. Setting her honey bun and coffee down, she went back into the bedroom, and returned with a blanket a moment later. Wrapping it around herself, before she sat down on one of the lounge chairs.
Looking out onto the beach, the sky was lightening up, and the wind blew occasionally. She sipped at her coffee, and ate her honey bun in blissful silence. Hearing her phone buzz, she picked it up, and it was a text from Tatsuki. Opening it, it was a picture of her, Rukia, Mai, and Akira. Mai held Emi on her lap. Scrolling down a bit, she read the text.
Tatsuki: Hey! We know the time difference is three hours, but we figured you'd have this to wake up to if you're not already awake. Just wanted to say that we've been missing you, and can't wait to catch up with you whenever you get home! Hope your vacation has been great!
Oh, and punch Ichigo for me.
Orihime smiled at the second text Tatsuki had sent. Typical Tatsuki. She thought, deciding on not texting back yet, as she set her phone down on the table beside her lounge chair. Sipping again at her coffee, she set it down to, and rubbed her baby bump to some kicks that she felt. In a blink of an eye, she was picked up from the lounge chair by familiar muscular arms. Her eyes swept to the source, and she caught her breath. "You scared me."
Ichigo smiled, moving to sit down on the lounge chair, and kept Orihime on his lap. Once settled, he reached up to push her bangs back, and smiled. "You got up before I did."
"Well baby girl woke up before I did, and that woke me up. I just had a feeling that I wouldn't end up going back to sleep if I tried," Orihime replied, relaxing more against Ichigo. "Even though I think I only got maybe two hours of sleep."
"Maybe it's the coffee your drinking, which by the way, didn't we have a conversation yesterday about you drinking coffee so much?" Ichigo asked, before he yawned.
"Or maybe it's because my pregnancy is making me crazy," Orihime offered, reaching over to the table, and grabbed her coffee mug. "And I tried to ignore what you were saying about me drinking coffee yesterday. But, you should know, that I only filled half of my cup with coffee. So it's not that bad."
Chuckling, Ichigo shook his head at Orihime. "I'm telling your doctor on you."
"Go for it. I'll bitch more if you take coffee completely away from me," Orihime retorted, smiling at Ichigo's raised eyebrow.
"Anyway," Ichigo said, deciding to change the subject. "Maybe we can get a little bit of sleep on the plane. We've got a six hour plane ride to look forward to." Feeling some movement by his abdomen, Ichigo's eyes went to Orihime's baby bump, before looking back to her. "Was that her?"
Nodding, Orihime set her coffee mug back down, before moving both her hands to rest on her baby bump. "Yeah, she's been kicking away in there since I woke up. Which was really why I got up in the first place."
Resting his hand on her baby bump, Ichigo could clearly feel their daughter move, and even a couple kicks. His eyes focused out on the beach. "It's crazy to think that this whole vacation is over. It feels like we just got here."
"I know, it's been so much fun, Orihime agreed, her own eyes looking out to the beach as well. The sound of the waves coming in, along with the early morning bird calls was music to her ears. Resting her head on Ichigo's shoulder, she sighed, and closed her eyes. "I'm really going to miss this."
An hour later
Orihime dropped the blanket she had been using on their bed. Sighing, as she propped a hand on her hip, and rested her other hand on her baby bump.
"What?" Ichigo asked, having heard her sigh, as he walked inside from the balcony.
"It's almost eight, and we've got to leave for the airport around ten thirty. I'm just thinking about how much we have to get done before then," Orihime replied, her eyes sweeping across their belongings in the room, and how much packing they'd have to look forward to.
"Well," Ichigo started, moving to pull their suitcases out of the closet. Setting them both on the bed, he opened them. "I you want, we can pack everything now, and if we have time, we can go down to the beach before we leave the resort."
Thinking on it for a moment, Orihime finally nodded. "Alright."
"Okay, well I'm going to change, and then go get some of the food we're taking home with us packed up," Ichigo said, turning to his clothes in the closet.
Orihime had moved and sat on the bed by their suitcases, both hands resting on her baby bump now. Her eyes on Ichigo, watching him change shamelessly.
Pulling his shirt on over his head, Ichigo noticed Orihime watching him, and he turned to face her. Seeing she was sitting now, he raised an eyebrow, and crossed his arms. "Packing involves moving, you know?"
"I know. I'm just taking a break," Orihime replied, her hands rubbing her baby bump, as she yawned.
"We haven't even started packing yet," Ichigo said, before shaking his head at her raised eyebrow. Crossing the room over to the side of the bed she was sitting on, he brought his arms around her. "Are you going to change whenever you decide your break is over?"
"Of course I am," was Orihime's immediate reply. Smiling as she looked up to Ichigo. "Even though your shirt is comfortable and all, I don't think it's acceptable airport attire. Plus I haven't even put on a bra or underwear yet, and going through security will be interesting if I did that."
Ichigo laughed, before he leaned over, and kissed her gently. "Interesting indeed," he said, chuckling more, as he straightened back up. "I'm going to go start packing the food, and you just enjoy your break after all the hard work you've done already."
Hearing the note of sarcasm in Ichigo's voice at the last part of what he said made Orihime grin. Her eyes followed Ichigo who was walking to the bedroom door. "I'm going to get up, I just had to sit down for a moment."
"Uh huh, whatever you say Orihime," was Ichigo's reply, before he left the bedroom.
Orihime's grin widened at the sound of Ichigo's laughter from the living room. Sitting there for a moment longer, she finally moved to get up. She changed into her navy blue sweatpants, and a medium grey colored tank top. Putting the pale pink long sleeved shirt in her carry on to put on if she got cold on the plane. Starting to pack her suitcase then, she moved to her clothes first. After packing those, she moved on to her makeup/beauty bag, her bath stuff, and her shoes. Grabbing the souvenirs for her friends next, she was finally ready to attempt to close her suitcase.
Five minutes later, the job still wasn't done, and she had to sit on her suitcase to finally get it to close. Sighing once she got back down from the bed, she propped a hand on her hip, as she glared at her suitcase. You were way too much effort. She thought, before moving around to the other side of the bed. Deciding to pack Ichigo's suitcase for him. His was much easier than hers was, and it was a relief to be able to close his so easily. Getting their carry on bags filled with their phone chargers, his wallet, jackets for them both, headphones for them both, and some of her fuzzy socks just incase her feet got cold.
Doing a thorough check of the bathroom, bedroom, and out on the balcony to make sure they wouldn't leave anything, Orihime grabbed her phone to check the time. Her eyes widened when she realized it took her nearly a whole hour to pack all their stuff properly, as it was a little past nine now. Going to the living room, where Ichigo was straightening up. The bag of food he had got together was on top of the table. She moved over towards the couch, and leaned against the arm of it. Her eyes on Ichigo who was double checking the kitchen. "You're going to have to put the food stuff in your suitcase."
"I don't mind, but why exactly?" Ichigo asked, coming to the archway of the kitchen, the bag of food in his hand now.
"Because my suitcase is completely full, and if I open it again, I'm afraid it won't close," Orihime replied, before crossing her arms over her chest. "Your suitcase still has plenty of room."
"You packed my suitcase for me?" Ichigo asked, raising an eyebrow at her nodding. "You didn't have to do that."
Orihime shrugged. "I didn't mind."
Ichigo went into their bedroom to go put the bag of food in his suitcase, and came back a moment later. "I only packed some of the dry food. Everything else they'll clean out after we leave," he told her, before stopping beside her. "Want to go down to the beach now?"
Orihime nodded, and moved to stand up straight.
A few minutes later, they were walking along the beach, hand in hand, and Orihime had a big smile on her face. Feeling the wind picking, and blowing against them.
"What are you smiling about?" Ichigo asked, a smile on her face just by the sight of her smiling.
"About the weather," Orihime replied, as she laughed at Ichigo's raised eyebrow. "I don't know. There's something about the wind, and oncoming storm that I like. It's relaxing to me."
Ichigo looked up to the sky above the ocean waters. Where clouds were forming, and were looking darker by the minute. "It's supposed to storm around the time we'll be leaving in the airport. Those clouds don't look that forgiving either."
"Well maybe we'll make it to the airport before it gets too bad. I certainly don't want them to have to delay our flight," Orihime said, as she rubbed her free hand on the top of her baby bump. "I feel like this vacation went by so quickly."
"It has been fun though," Ichigo said, thinking of all they had done over their vacation. "We made new friends, and did things we don't usually do."
Smiling Orihime nodded. "Yes we did… I tried calamari for the first time, and it's my new favorite seafood now."
Ichigo grins, as he thought of something he tried. "I learned how to do yoga, got a face mask, and got my nails done."
That made Orihime crack up laughing, as Ichigo joined her. Calming her own laughter down after a moment, she looked to their henna's. "We got henna tattoos."
Looking at the henna, Ichigo nodded at it. "I would get it as an actual tattoo."
"Really?" Orihime asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Why now?" Ichigo asked, with a shrug of his shoulders. "I'm eighteen now, and I can legally do what I want… of course I'd wait until after baby girl is born of course. There is no telling if she'll actually be born on her due date or not."
Nodding in agreement, Orihime laughed. "That's probably a good idea-" the sound of thunder rumbling in the distance made Orihime stop, and Ichigo along with her.
"We should probably go ahead and go back," Ichigo said, turning to face Orihime.
"Yeah," Orihime said, smiling as she wrapped her arms loosely around his neck. "We wouldn't want to get stuck out in the storm." She finished, before leaning forward and kissing him.
Almost an hour and a half later, ten thirty
"Thank you," Orihime said to the man who had took her and Ichigo's picture outside the resort one last time. They had just checked out of the resort, and their car was being pulled around front. Accepting her camera back from the man, she and Ichigo moved towards the car. Getting into the passenger seat, she felt her exhaustion hit her. I probably should have taken a nap when we got back to the condo. I'm going to be so tired later. She thought, feeling movement inside of her, and she sighed. Hopefully she'll settle by the time we get on the plane. I don't know if I can be tired and uncomfortable for six hours on a plane.
"Thank you," Ichigo said to the valet man, before getting in the car.
Orihime looked up at the sky to see the dark clouds. "Do you think we'll make it to the airport before it starts to rain?"
Shrugging his shoulders, Ichigo started the car forward. "I hope so. If our flight gets delayed it wouldn't be that bad. What's one more day on the island?"
Orihime laughed at Ichigo's grin. "They'd probably only delay it for maybe thirty minutes."
"If they delay it at all, we're not getting on that plane," Ichigo said, shaking his head at the thought. "I may be an awesomely powerful shinigami and all, but a plane crash doesn't seem shinigami proof in my eyes."
"Well I won't argue on your judgment with that," Orihime said, smiling at him. "I'm not really wanting to die in a plane crash."
"Oh we wouldn't die," Ichigo told her, a smirk still on his face. "I'll save us and all, I just don't feel like putting in so much effort after this whole vacation and all."
"Ichigo," was all Orihime said, as she shook her head, laughing away.
A good forty minutes later, they were getting close to the airport, just as Ichigo spotted rain on the windshield. "And there we have it. The first few drops of rain."
"Oh no," Orihime said, laughing at the rain coming down. "And we almost made it too."
They were fortunately shielded from the rain as they got to the airport, and when they drove into the car return deck. They stayed inside as they got their suitcases from the back, and returned the car. It wasn't until they reached the door that was to the path that led to the airport. It was outside however.
"Well it's inevitable that we'll be staying out of the rain now," Orihime said, noting that the walkway that led into the airport was partially uncovered, so they would end up having to walk through the rain no matter what.
"It won't be that bad," Ichigo said, his eyes meeting Orihime's.
A short minute later, the two were inside the airport, both out of breath from laughing. The second they had both got outside, the rain got worse, and had got them a decent amount wet.
"Okay… let's go ahead to the check in desk," Orihime said, after catching her breath. A smile still big on her face. "We'll find out if they are delaying our flight before we waste time going through security."
"Sounds good," Ichigo said, his hand finding hers as they started walking.
A good thirty minutes later
"Well our flight isn't delayed, so it looks like we're doing good time wise," Orihime said, eating some of the barbeque chips she got from one of the little food places the airport had. They had both decided to eat something before leaving, and they still had almost a good forty five minutes until their plane would start boarding.
"It looks like we're going home after all," Ichigo frowned, after swallowing the bite he just took from his sandwich. "Damn."
Orihime laughed at his disappointment, as she sipped at her water. "I don't really think I mind all too much. It feels like we've been gone from home for like a month instead of almost a week. I miss being there."
Ichigo nodded in agreement. "Don't get me wrong. I love the idea of going home as much as you. It's been so long since we've slept in our own room," he said, before he grinned at her. "But, being on vacation has had it's perks for both of us, I'd have to say. I've enjoyed it."
Unable to help the smile coming on her face, Orihime grabbed a few more chips from the bag. "I've enjoyed being here too. We'll have to keep these vacation perks in mind for when we go home," she said, making Ichigo laugh, and she remained smiling. Eating the chips in her hand, she rubbed her free hand on her baby bump. This vacation has brought on a lot of thought towards not only our relationship, but you too baby girl. In just a few days, my due date will be just ten weeks away. I can't wait.
A/N: And they are going home! This vacation has been so much fun for me to write! I can't wait to write more for when they go home though! What was your favorite part about their vacation?
