Chapter 36
(Once again I do not own Supernatural or Twilight.)
Castiel! CASTIEL! He runs as fast as he can. He hears her calling to him, but she's nowhere to be found. The streets are filled with bodies. Multiple sirens are going off. Screams are hears sporadically. Black smolder filled the skies. The smell of blood and death burn his nose and cause him nausea. Castiel please help! He swallows back. Fear coursing through him. He comes to a stop however. Cass turns towards a nearby alleyway. Cautiously, he approaches dagger in hand.
Castiel… She calls to him again tears streaming down her eyes as she holds her brother and Jo. Both in her lap, both with no signs of life.
"Bella…" He crouches down.
Suddenly, Bella shrieks out in pain. Castiel looks up to see her eyes are no more. The sockets were black with soot and smoke cascaded from them..
"BELLA!" Her back arches and she claws at her face.
"NO!" He cries and reaches to her.
Her body begins to glow and he looks down to see his dagger in her heart.
"NOOOOOOOOOOO!"
"Cass!"
"Cass baby wake up."
He's covered in sweat his heart racing.
"Bella?"
"It was just a dream."
Bella rushes out of the bed and returns with a cold, wet, washcloth. She runs it along his face and neck. Cass brings her hand down. He runs his fingers gently along her face, whilst looking into her eyes.
"Are you alright?"
He nods and lays his head back on the pillow. Bella looked to her husband with concern. She continued to wash him down.
"I am ok Bella."
"Cass baby you were shouting in your sleep. Not only that, but you were tossing and turning something fierce. I've never seen you do that."
He says nothing else on the issue. Cass pulls her into his chest. He kisses the top of her head.
"I love you."
"I love you too Cass."
He takes in a breath and wraps his arms around her. He still felt on edge. Castiel shut his eyes once again. Only to have them fly back open.
"The time will come. You will be needed again Castiel."
"Oh well is that all that all?" Dean smarts as Bella tells their story.
Jo sat there in disbelief.
"That's some crazy shit." Dean says and leans back taking it all in.
Bella however, turns back to Cass. Who hadn't said a word since they got up this morning.
"Hey… You ok?"
She nudges him gently as he's looking out the window. He faces her and nods. Bella pats his leg as their food is served.
"Well while you and Cass were off fighting gods and whatnot. Jo and I had a little adventure of our own."
"Is that so?"
He nods stuffing a fry in his mouth.
"Yep, some demon fun. I'm telling you those guys are getting thicker. Here we were trying to make certain you guys could come back. Yet we had to keep those bastards at bay as well."
Dean's attention goes to something else though.
"Hmm babe, look at that guy's pie! I want one of those!"
Jo and Bella shake their heads. Bella notices that Cass hasn't even touched his food. Which is something he never does. Cass is all about food. Well since he became human. He was like Dean in that aspect.
"Cass?"
The three of them exchange a look. Dean tosses a fry at him, hitting him in the face. Cass turns towards him.
"You ok there buddy?"
"Yes Dean I am fine."
Dean nods.
"We were just wondering. Your food is getting cold."
Cass clears his throat and reaches to his burger.
"So where were these demons?" Bella questioned.
"All over the damn hotel, they were running the place sis. We didn't even notice!"
"Isn't that how it usually goes? Right in front of our noses?"
"So what's our next case?" Jo questions as Bella sips at her soda.
Dean finishes his bite of burger and swallows back.
"Actually… I wanted to talk to Cass about that."
Cass looks up from his burger.
"What would you know about the four horsemen keys?"
Cass narrows his eyes as he finishes chewing his food.
"Horsemen keys?"
Dean nods waiting for an answer.
"Why would you be interested in that Dean?"
"I was thinking about freeing my brother…"
Cass puts his burger down.
"Samael?"
"Well if that's who he is."
"I do not know about that Dean."
"Well why the hell not? I've been doing some research and…"
Cass sighs.
"Dean it is not wise. I strongly advice you leave this be."
"But he's my brother."
"He's an angel."
"Even so he's still my brother and technically Bells's. If anything, I'd like a chance at meeting the son of a bitch."
"I've a feeling your brother isn't quite what you assume he might be. He's not human. Therefore, he will not think or act as one."
"Yeah we've never experienced such a thing. Have we Bells?" Dean sarcastically says.
Bella cuts her brother a hateful glance.
"Look I'm just saying. If we can do something… you know, to get him out…"
Cass shakes his head.
"You haven't a clue just what it is you're up against. Even if you could accomplish getting the keys Dean; the task itself is hardly feasible. For one thing the cage in which Lucifer speaks of is within the gates of Hell. With all due respect , I've already sprang one of you out of there. I'd hate to…" Cass stops himself seeing the look on his wife's face.
"Bella… I didn't mean…"
"It's alright."
She says leaning back in her seat. He meant nothing like what it sounded. He still knew it to be his fault she was even there in the first place.
"What would you do Cass?" Dean asks curiously.
Cass sits there in silence for a moment.
"You're right Dean. If this is what you want…" Cass hints.
"You need to think about just what it is we're getting into. What do the four horsemen represent Dean? In order to get these keys, that is what we will be facing. One of them is Death himself."
Bella takes in a breath.
"Guess it's time to dust off our Bibles."
"Something that should have been done a long time ago." Cass comments.
"Eh… I'll let the wife of a preacher man do that." Dean says looking to his sister.
Bella rolls her eyes.
"Don't be a jerk."
Dean starts humming the son of a preacher man song under his breath. Bella and Jo look to him.
"Really Dean?" Jo elbows him.
"What? It kind of fits."
"So where did ole Lu go anyway?" Dean asks looking to Cass.
"I'm not sure. He's angered Michael greatly. There is no telling for certain what became of the fight."
Bella looks to Cass alarmed.
"Both are still in existence Bella." He assures with a nod.
Cass looks back upon Dean.
"When do you wish to start this quest?"
"Well I figured we could do some more research and hit it from there."
"So what we're pushing aside our other cases?" Bella inquires disordered.
"Well I figure this one to be just as important. So yeah why not? Besides as of late these cases all sound demon related."
"So what you're saying is we shrug off the need of others in order to find Sam? If that's even possible... Have you listened to a word Cass is saying?"
"Yep, loud and clear, newsflash though sis. We don't give up on family. Whether they're angels or not, if he's a Winchester. Then we're going to find a way to bust his ass out. I taught you better than that didn't I? Family comes first Bells! We might be hunters, but we Winchesters leave nobody behind! So yeah we're going to fall back and go get our brother. This is a case it's just more personal.
Bella lowered her head in shame. She suddenly, felt like a terrible person.
"You're right. We don't. He should be our first priority. I'm sorry D."
Cass took notice of this as well.
"I apologize as well Dean. I take pride in sharing the Winchester name. I will help with whatever means necessary."
Jo takes Dean's hand and smiles.
Dean nods and gently kicks at his sister's boot.
"Hey now Bells none of that, we're good."
Bella nods, but still felt dreadful. Dean was right she did know better. If it was Michael she'd be doing the same thing; which made her feel worse about what she'd said. Because, Samael was just as much blood to her as Michael was. In a way they were all family; even if she was merely adopted into the Winchester lineage.
Meanwhile, Cass forced his way through his meal. His mind was a tangled mess. His voice replayed through his thoughts. Cass was having a selfish moment. He felt somewhat rebellious now. He felt sinful and wrong in his thoughts. He wasn't ready to leave Bella. Cass had no intentions of going back or regaining his angel status. This was the life he wanted. Yet at the same time he wanted to do right and serve his father. He still considered himself a soldier of the Lord. He just wanted to serve on earth. Now to be told he will have to return after all? Where was the free will in this? He'd made a life here. He had a wife, a family. He wanted more time! Then like a slap to the face Jimmy Novak entered his mind. He too had a family… He too had to make the choice. He willingly gave up his body so Castiel could serve his purpose. It was Castiel he called to when Jimmy knew he was dying. He had to give it all up. Cass suddenly felt ill. He knew that he now was being tested. The way he himself tested Jimmy. Cass pinches the bridge of his nose. He was trying to keep it together. But his heart felt as though it was about to burst from his chest. The room spun on him. He knew it wasn't karma… that's not how the Lord works. Yet, he still felt as though it were. Like Jimmy Novak he too was going to have to make that choice. Cass felt he wasn't strong enough. He felt he'd fall apart.
"Bella…"
She turns to her husband.
"Excuse me…" He hints.
She noted the way his skin was damn near white.
"Cass?!"
The three of them look on as he heads to the bathroom.
Once Cass enters he locks the door. He leans against the door and tries to catch his breath. Cass makes his way to the sink. He cuts the water on and rinses off his face. He loosens his tie a bit. Then he runs his fingers through his hair. Cass looks upon himself in the mirror.
"I'm sorry Jimmy." He says softly.
He lowers his head shaking it. He grips the sink tightly, so tight his knuckles were turning white.
He wondered just how much time he truly had. Could he even help complete what his brother in law wanted? Furthermore, how does he tell his wife? Cass turns to hear a knock at the door.
"Hey you ok in there bro?"
Cass clears his throat and dries off his face. He then makes his way over unlocking the door.
Dean's leaning against the doorway.
"Bells, is worried about you and all. I told her the food here was crappy, probably gave you indigestion or something."
Cass nods.
"Hey…" Dean looks upon him as if studying Cass.
"You can talk to me you know."
Cass felt rather lifted by Dean's words. It was nice to hear. All the same though Cass didn't wish to burden the Winchesters with his problems. This was something Cass was going to have to deal with.
"Thank you Dean."
Dean looks to Cass oddly as he walks back to the table and sits down.
"Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death." Bella says looking up from the Bible.
"And where do we even begin? It's not like these horsemen just roam about the earth."
Cass sighs.
"Actually…"
Her eyes widen.
"Death of course visits often. In fact Bella, each play a part in our everyday lives. There is always war, starvation, plagues and death. It might not be the way you'd think about it. But it's there. Meaning they are more amongst us more than you'd like to think. Revelations is merely about times to come. Things that have not taken place yet, but are too be revealed. The horsemen will come together during these times…"
"Ok…" Bella says looking grim.
"Sorry it's just…" She puts the Bible down.
"The more I read this the more around the corner it sounds."
Little was she aware of the truth… Cass thought to himself.
"So many of these events have already taken place." She shuts the Bible as though it were a plague in itself.
"The beginning and the end." She says in a whisper that only Cass catches.
He cocks a brow at this.
"Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent." Bella quotes in God's words from the Bible.
She narrows her eyes in thought and reopens the Bible. She skims through it again. Bella then sighs and comes to her feet. She tosses the Bible onto Dean's lap.
"Get to crackin'."
He rolls his eyes.
"You know I can't read this…" He refrains as Cass tilts his head upon him.
"Come on now don't give me that look."
Cass shakes his head.
"Would you like me to read it to you?" Cass says with a slight grin.
Bella catches this and giggles to herself. She then grabs her jacket and heads outside her brother's hotel room.
Dean grumbles under his breath and opens the Bible. Jo continues to look up more information online. Cass makes out Bella through the window. She was leaning over the rails looking towards the pool. He too grabs his jacket and joins her.
Cass wraps his arms around her waist. He then rest his head along her shoulder.
"It's coming isn't it?"
Cass takes in a breath before he answers. He kisses her neck.
"Yes…"
"How soon?"
"I'm not certain, but eventually. As you already pointed out, times are coming closer Bella."
"And in the end?"
"No one knows that, but the Lord himself."
"These demons Cass…" She hints.
"Yes Bella that is a part of it."
"That's about what I thought. Maybe, that's why ole Lu's so quiet. He's secretly plotting."
"You may very well be right."
"Will we be together?"
Cass narrows his eyes at this.
"How do you mean Bella?"
"If this is to take place... Will you and I…"
He nods and gently twirls her around to face him.
"Know this, I will always find a way to you. I know its fate. I truly believe we are soul mates. That even in death you and I are meant to be. Just as my faith in the Lord is strong, so is my faith in us. So yes Bella my vows to you go beyond death."
Bella smiles and wraps her arms around his neck. Cass began to kiss her eagerly. His hands ran along her back, down her waist. Bella giggled as he made his way to her rear. He pressed against it pushing her up against him. Bella bites down on her lower lip as he continues to kiss along her neck and shoulders. She then reaches out and grabs him by the tie, leading him to their hotel room.
Cass is already unbuttoning his shirt anxiously. He quickly shuts and locks the door. Cass yet again finds himself taken completely by surprise. His wife drops down to her knees and undoes his pants. He narrows his eyes in confusion at first. Suddenly, he feels a pleasure he'd never known. It made him slightly dizzy. Curiously, he watched as her mouth was about him. It was so warm and felt incredible. He'd never seen such a thing. He wasn't even sure what it is. Her mouth felt as though wet silk was wrapped around him.
He becomes startled as he feels himself about to come. He wasn't sure what to do. So he gently pulled out of her and shot his load. Bella's eyes widened at this and she broke into a grin.
"Holy…" She uttered as she watched.
Cass cleared his throat once he was finished. He looked to Bella.
"What was that?"
She softly giggles.
"What we call a blow job."
He still looks taken back.
"Did you like?"
He nods with complete approval.
"Very much."
She laughs. Thinking he was too cute for words. He was still so innocent in certain aspects.
"So humans use their mouth as well?" He questions still throbbing from what took place.
"Yes it's referred to as oral."
"Oral?"
She nods.
"So… Do women get this too?"
She nods again. He grew harder for some reason, he wasn't quite sure why.
"Can I try?" He felt rather excited on the idea.
Cass found himself wanting to give her this kind of pleasure. If it felt that good to him he wanted to see how she reacted.
Bella felt almost shy as she stripped down.
"Um…" She looked around the hotel.
Before she can coherently think Cass picks her up and places her on the table of the hotel. She quickly covers her mouth as he wastes no time. She couldn't believe how he just dove in like that. At this point she wasn't sure who was enjoying this more. He seemed just as into it as she was. His tongue flicked along her like he'd done this before. That or it felt that why because this was a first for her too. She gasped back trying her best to control her hips. It turned her on even more to see her husband fondling himself as he continued to pleasure her.
"Cass…" She moaned with sensitivity.
He gave a couple more licks with his tongue, before he looked up.
"Please…" She hinted and he nodded.
He placed himself inside her. He kissed her lips as he stroked himself about her. Bella could taste herself on his tongue. She didn't expect for that to turn her on, but it did. Cass gripped her tightly as he thrusts himself about her. Before long both come to another climax. He rests his forehead against hers as they catch a breath.
"I liked that."
She runs her fingers along his locks of hair.
"Did you now?"
He nods.
"See I'm telling you Cass. You've got a bad boy side to you."
He smiles shaking his head.
Bella heads to the bathroom and starts to shower. Cass takes a moment to collect himself. He then joins Bella. After she finishes she pecks him on the lips and steps out. Bella brushes her teeth and hair. She then heads out of the bathroom. This wave however, hits Cass. With one hand he leans against the bathroom wall. The tears he'd fought so hard to keep back caught up to him. Once he stopped he thought he'd never stop.
Bella looks up from the bed after he comes out. He's toweling off his hair. However, she notices the bloodshot look in his eyes. She swallows back on this. He passes by her and kisses her forehead. He then reaches over for his bag. Bella gently grabs his wrist.
"What is it Cass?"
He narrows his eyes as he looks upon her.
"I'm your wife remember? Now please tell me what's wrong?"
He sits across from her placing his bag in his lap. He buttons his shirt and straightens his tie.
"I might have to go back Bella."
"Go back?"
He nods.
"What do you mean by that exactly? Surely you don't mean…"
"Heaven?" He finishes her statement.
Bella shoots to her feet.
"Why would you say that?"
"I've been called upon Bella."
"Called…?"
He nods again.
"By who?"
"The Lord."
Bella covers her mouth looking to her husband in shock. He noticed the way her hands trembled. He sighed and rubbed his hands over his face. He was lost for words himself now.
"When?"
"Last night."
"No I mean when…" She hints.
"He did not say. He just said the time will come when I will be needed again."
"Are you certain that means going back?"
"No I'm not for certain."
Bella closes her eyes for a moment. Cass takes her hand.
"I want you to remember what I said. I'm still your husband no matter what's to come."
She nods, but the knot she can no longer control. She welcomes herself to Cass's lap. Bella then wraps herself around him and she too has a good cry. Not sure what else to do Cass holds her, not wanting to let go.
