As soon as they had got back to their room, watched a very funny Australian movie called "A Few Best Men" whilst eating dinner, the both of them had fallen asleep not even having finished their food. Although it was only 9:30 when they fell asleep it felt like they had been awake for days.
Although Spencer had forgotten about Toby's last surprise, he definitely hadnt forgotten. "Spence, baby. Wake up."
Groaning, Spencer pushed his face away from hers. "5am seriously? Do you really have nothing better to do at 5am?" She groaned checking her phone for the time. "Sorry not sorry, but it's my last surprise. And you nee to ge your cute butt, outta bed and dresses otherwise, you'll miss it."
"I'll miss sleep. Tadpole will miss sleep." She mumbled, throwing her pillow over her face. "Fine then, you miss out on seeing something you've never seen before. And I think our little boy would be disappointed if he wasn't there too." That was it, Toby knew that any mention of tadpole would make her cave, the same went for him. They were so deeply in love but adding tadpole to the equation made their love for each other even stronger.
Toby who was fully dressed, his dark jeans, that blue v neck tshirt that made Spencer want to jump his bones, his military boots and leather jacket laid on the bed , hands behind his head. He watched Spencer closely as she tried to bend over to pick up her clothes off the floor. "Need a little help, Spence?"
"No I got it." No matter what state she was in, pregnant, injured or without the inability to do the basic things, Spencer insisted that she was more than capable to do things her own way. No one was going to stop her from being the 'modern post feminist' she claimed to be.
The blindfold made it's appearence once again, as Toby drove through the dark to the secret location. "We're here."
"I can't see anything."
"That's why I brought a torch, because for the next half an hour we wont be able to."
Toby helped Spencer out of the car, he could faintly hear the sound of the waves crashing against the shore, he hoped that Spencer wouldn't hear it but she had super hearing, as she constantly liked to remind everyone.
"Are we at the beach?" She asked, breaking his train of thought. "I can't hide anything from you can I?" She shook her head.
He was so very cautious of her as they walked down to the shore, his arm securly wrapped around her, he couldnt live with himself if she tripped and fell now. In the other hand, a picnic rug under his arm and picnic basket full of food for breakfast.
He set the rug down not too close to the water, it was starting to become brighter the sky changing from a pitch black to a dark grey. "I can't believe you brought me to the beach, I don't remember the last time I was here." She laid with her head on his chest, wrapped up in each other, keeping as warm as they could in the middle of winter. "I'm glad you like it. You sure you're not cold? I can get another blanket from the truck if you want?"
"I'm fine really, I think that after you told me to wear thermal socks, singlet and leggings, jeans, one of your shirts, my cable knit sweater and one of your leather jackets along with a beanie, I'll be warm as toast. And so will our little boy."
"I can't believe, he's going to be here soon. It feels like a lifetime ago you sat me down at your parents place and told me you were pregnant." He smiled, reminiscing. "I don't think I'll ever forget that day or any day since I've been with you."
If only it was legal to have sex in public, Spencer thought. She sat, wrapped up in Toby's arms as they watched the sunrise, it had to have been one of the most beautiful sights she had ever seen in her whole life. Toby took out his phone, "I want to freeze this picture. I want to hold onto this memory forever, and be able to look back when we're old and grey and remember how much our lives were about to change, how much we love each other."
Spencer began to cry, sniffling and wiping her eyes. "Naww Spence, I'm sorry. I didnt mean to make you cry, I just cant stop telling you about how much I love you." Spencer mounted on top of Toby, sitting on his hips. "Let's get married."
"A little late Spence. I already proposed." He joked.
"No. I mean now, today. We can stop by city hall on the way home this afternoon."
"Really? I - I mean are you sure you're up for it? I wanted to do it yesterday when I proposed but I didn't want you to exert yourself."
"I want to be your wife. Today."
"I want to be your husband too but where the hell are we going to get you a wedding dress and me a tuxedo with only a few hours notice?"
"Baby, since when has us getting dressed up been our thing? I know your more comfortable in jeans and a tshirt, than in a tux. And in all honesty I'm more comfortable in jeans and a shirt-"
"Which is not yours." Toby interjected jokingly, she stuck her tongue and nudged him in the shoulder. "Any way, as I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, I'm more comfortable in my own clothes than in a insanely tight white gown because lets be honest here. I'm far from the virginal innocent woman, that dress portrays women to be."
"You have no idea how much I love you, do you?"
"I think I have a fair idea. I think having tadpole grow inside my body and still having you here with me, gives me a fair indication. I don't know many guys that would have stuck around."
"I don't either but I'm always happy to break the mould. And you'll be happy to know that I lied earlier. I do have your ring, I've had it ever since after the whole Melissa and Jenna ordeal."
"God, I love you." Spencer sighed, pressing her forehead to his, rubbing noses with him. "Mmm. I love you too, Spence."

It's fair to say that Spencer was like a little kid who had just been told that she was going to Disneyland, jumping up and down in excitement in her seat. "Want to chill out a bit baby? You'll be exhausted before we even get there."
Spencer scoffed, "Yeah right."
"Shit!" Spencer yelled, pressing her hand to her forehead. "What? Is it time is he coming?" Toby panicked.
"No, you goose! You haven't got my parent's permisson and they'll be furious if you marry me without their consent." She laughed, the way he had freaked out over her sudden out burstbwas hilarious.
"You see, Miss Hastings. You underestimate my power."
"Any chance to get in a Star Wars reference, huh?" They both laughed. Toby and Caleb, or Taleb as they had been nicknamed, loved to express their inner movie buff/nerd at least once a week, with a marathon.
"Anyway, I already have their permission. Remember a couple of weeks ago when you went out for lunch with the girls and Caleb and I had a Hannibal marathon?" She nodded her head. "Well, we went ring shopping then he came with me to be my wingman in asking your parents."
"Ooh, you're learning to be efficient like me." She joked, playing with his hair. "Can I see it?"
"You've already seen it. In photos of my mom." Toby said, a lump rising in his throat. Spencer felt her eyes well up, "You're giving me your mom's ring? Toby I can't accept that, it's a family heirloom." He pulled over onto the side of the road and turned to face Spencer, grabbing her hands in his. "You are my family now, the both of you. Feel this?" He asked, moving their hands to her belly, "This is my family. Always and forever. Nobody deserves it more than you do." He finished and kissed Spencer gently, ending with their eskimo kiss before driving off to City Hall in Philadelphia.
Toby anxiously held the phone to his ear, terrified to even contemplate calling them, althought they had given the two of them a new start, he was scared of her parents, mostly her dad. He threw the phone on the couch as it began to ring. "Dude, stop being such a sook. They like you now. How about you put it on speaker?"
"Have you ever been in a room alone with that guy? He's terrifying, even just him breathing scares me."
"Dude. Chill." The phone rang four times before he answered. "This is Peter."
"Hi sir, it's Toby. I was wondering if I could possibly meet you and Veronica for coffee at the brew this afternoon?"
"I'm sure that shouldn't be an issue. Is everything okay with Spencer and the baby?" He asked. "Yeah theyre great. See you at 4?"
"Sounds great." Toby laid back on the couch, relieved that he hadn't bitten his head off like he thought. "You're such a pussy." Caleb scoffed, "And before you ask, yes I will come with you."
The meeting with Spencer's parents had gone extremely well, the moment they sat down Veronica said "Yes." "But I havent asked you anything yet" Toby replied, confused.
"Toby, honey. We know you love our daughter and you'll love your son more than anything in the world. And would never do anything to hurt them. So yes, you have our permission to marry our daughter."
"See? We're not as scary as we used to be." Peter joked. "Haha, yeah." Toby laughed nervously. "Thank you so much. Mr and Mrs Hastings."

"I thought you loved her!" A young voice screamed out from the corner of the dark lit warehouse to the two hooded figures. "I did, and I thought you cared enough to not run out on her when things got tough." The smaller one replied.
"Sweetie. I think they need to be taught a lesson that they shouldn't talk back nor offer unnecessary commentary about our love live's past." The taller one teased before punching the older hostage in the jaw, whilst the smaller one gave the other two a hard slap each that left their cold faces stinging.
"Just a few more weeks Paige. I promise." The taller one smiled, kissing her passionately, moaning in pleasure.
