Hello, journal.

The mission was successful. I met Matsu at the village gates, and (to no surprise) he had a bag packed of nothing but food. So after we made fun of each other for about ten minutes, we set off. Naturally, I made him share his food. I was hungry! Father doesn't cook, and mother had class this morning. Cup Ramen can only fill you up so much!

So we're walking! We take the south entrance out of the village and we take a long route to the outpost town. In all, this process takes about an hour and a half. I was unaware that the Land of Fire was so huge! It's all trees from anywhere to anywhere, mind you, but still unnecessarily large.

Anyways, Matsu and I just walk. We talk about regular things. We discuss Ayemuri on bed rest, we talk about Kiba-Sensei. I tell him how yesterday Lord Hokage let me try a Genjutsu on him. He is surprised and all. Then wonders how the Nine-Tails looks. The answer to that question is simple. I tell him:

"It's like looking at the embodiment of hell itself."

He drops his jaw and I laugh. I mean I was just being honest. The chakra of the Nine-Tails is… monstrous. Its pure hatred. It makes you wonder how Naruto can even deal with that thing at all, let alone it being inside him. Not only inside it, but how he got it to listen to him.

We get to the outpost town, and it's quite a weird place. I was there once earlier with Kiba-Sensei, and Ayemuri and Matsu. However now it just seemed different. We walked to the location specified by Naruto's staff, and this takes us to a tavern to look for a man named Sazumo.

It was a weird scene when we walk in. All of the grown men in there were drinking and loud, but when they see us, they stop. The music stops. They all stare at us.

I mumble to Matsu. "Relax and play it cool. They know we're ninja."

I forgot who I was talking to. There is nothing relaxed and cool about Matsu. "We're looking for a man named Sazumo. Has anyone seen him?"

Instantly. I kid you not. INSTANTLY. Nine of them grab weapons and stand up. I feel the chakra building from Matsu. No doubt he was getting ready to use his special fire jutsu. After all, I should know. I throw my hand in front of him and ready my stance.

"We're just looking for a man." I say. "We don't want any trouble."

One man steps forward. I assume he is the leader, because he's bald and the biggest. I have to do something quick. They don't see us as Genin, they just see us as Leaf ninja coming to bark out more orders.

"Yeah, just point him out before it gets real ugly in here!" Matsu said while he readied his hand seals.

Dammit.

They instantly get riled up. I have to hurry and do something. I focus chakra to my eyes and stare at this leader in the eyes. Looks like me casting a Genjutsu on Naruto would prepare me for this. Kotoamatsukami!

The man has a blank stare as he looks at me. I quickly capitalize as I try to get him to tell me where the target is.

The man turns a smile on his face. "Oh, you're just here to collect the papers from Sazumo. He's out in back tending some pigs. The back door is right past the bar."

"Thank you." I nod, still keeping my Genjutsu on him.

For the second time today, Matsu had to pick his jaw up off of the floor. I whisper to him to make no eye contact with any of the men, and we move slowly to the back of the bar. Sure enough, we discover a door in the back which leads outside, and see Sazumo.

He is a tall guy, unnaturally thin with spiky black hair. And a squeaky voice.

"Sazumo? We are here from the Leaf Village." I say.

He looks at us as he is taking a huge insect off of the butt of one of his overweight pigs. "You're late. Whatever."

He reaches in his front pocket of his overalls and pulls out a letter. As he hands it to Matsu, we both bow and say thank you.

Refusing to go back into the bar, we leap over one of the fences and make our way out the village. Within two hours, we're back home. We had to stop and rest because the Kotoamatsukami takes so much out of me. My chakra control isn't where it needs to be.

Anyways, we deliver the letter to one of Naruto's staff. We got another mission to take care of tomorrow, so they tell us to sleep. Matsu says he'll see me tomorrow, and he sprints home because his mother said she made barbequed pork.

My favorite.

I go home to my mother and my younger siblings. Itachi is still gone, and father will be home later. We eat noodles and beef. I long for the taste of barbequed pork. After answering a thousand questions from Inora about how Inora she can get her accuracy up, and Ichiro asked another hundred questions about how chakra works I get tired.

Both of them are brats.

I fall asleep before father gets home.

Until tomorrow! We'll see what other missions Naruto has in store for me. Ugh.
