Chapter Thirty-seven Band Candy and Revelations
It is lunch time so Buffy, Kennedy, Faith wearing a pair of black jean and red long sleeve shirt with v-neck, Willow, Oz, Xander and Cordelia walk into the lunchroom and Snyder walk over to Buffy, Kennedy who wearing a black knife pleated skirt that just above the knees and a red short sleeve shirt with a scoop neckline, Faith, Willow, Oz, Xander and Cordelia. Snyder then hands each one of them a box of candy bars. All seven of them just look at Snyder with a look that say way did you hands me a box of candy bars for?
"What are the boxes of candy bars for?"
"Faith Lehane These are candy bars for you to sale and rise money for the band."
"But none of us are in the band."
"Buffy Summers you are still going to sale the candy bars and help raise money for your high school band."
Snyder walks away from Buffy, Kennedy, Faith, Willow, Oz, Xander and Cordelia before they can say anything else to him and walks over to another group of students. At the same time Buffy, Faith, Willow, Oz, Xander and Cordelia all walk over to the table the six of them sit at every day and Kennedy walks over to the table her friends sit at and they all sit down at the lunch tables.
"B you need to go to the library and sees Giles, the watcher council has sent a new watch for you and she is here. Also, she wants to meet you and talk about something."
"But I do not need a new watch."
"The council thinks you do."
"Fine"
Buffy finishes her peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich and then stands up from the chair she is sitting on. Then Buffy picks up her backpack from the floor and then grabs the box of candy bars from the table. Buffy walks out of the lunchroom, then walks to the library and stop as soon as she gets through the library doors. At the same time a woman walks up to Buffy to shakes Buffy right hand, but Buffy walks away from the new watcher without shaking the new watcher hand and walks over to the study table. Buffy then sits down on the end chair that is on the side the book cage is on.
"You must be Buffy. I am your new watcher Gwendolyn Post."
"I am doing fine with Mr. Giles. I do not need a new watcher."
"It is not your choice, the watcher council thinks it would be better if Faith and Kennedy have a different watcher then you."
At the same time Faith and Kennedy walks into the library and then Faith walks into Giles office and Faith picks up her daughter, at the same time Kennedy sits down on the chair next to Buffy. A few moments later Faith walks out of Giles office into the main area of the library holding her sleeping daughter in her arms and sits down on the chair that is across from Buffy. At the sometime Giles grab a candy bar from one of the boxes on the study table, and start to open up the candy bar. At the same time Faith's remembers the dream that she had last night as Giles puts the candy bar into his mouth.
"Stops don't eat that candy bar G."
"And way can't I eat this candy bar Faith?"
"I had one of my slayer dreams last night about the candy bar being sale for the band and the candy bars have a spell put on them to make the adult act like children again so the Demon Lurconis can get it annual feeding.
"That not good I already eat half of a box of candy bars with Buffy's mom during second and three hours!"
"What was my mom during here?"
"I call her, so I could see how your mom was handle knowing you are a vampire slayer."
"It did not seem like Mrs. Summers and you were doing much talk in your office, to me it sound the two of you were having sex."
"Gwendolyn Post you did not have to tell Buffy that!"
"Yes I did. Buffy needs to be able to trust me."
"Giles's that is my mom."
"And in front of my infant daughter!"
"It was the candy bar making us do it."
"I hate to make things worse, but a Demon called Logos is coming to the Hellmouth and he is looking for the glove of myhnegon"
"(Faith, Kennedy and Buffy) So we will just have to find the glove before he does and do we have a location for this glove?"
"It is buried with a wealth person in a cemetery."
"There are twelve of them in Sunnydale Gwendolyn Post."
"That not good Mr. Giles."
Giles set down on the chair next to Faith and at the sometime Willow and Xander walk into the library and look at the new female watcher.
"Good Willow and Xander this is Gwendolyn Post, Buffy new watcher. Where is Oz at?"
"He had band practice Giles."
"That fine Willow and Xander and we need the two of you to hit the book and see if you can find a location for the glove of myhnegon, its in one of the twelve cemeteries and also find info on Lagos.
(Xander and Willow) Ok Giles."
"I saw a book that talk about Lagos on the backside of the second shelf."
"Good Willow, I am going to check with Angel maybe he knows where it is. Call my cellphone if you find out anything."
"Faith and Kennedy you are with me we have to go to Sunnydale General Hospital, which is the only hospital in town with a labor and deliver floor and stop whomever is going to get Lurconis food, which are newborn babies.
Faith stands up from the chair and then hands Destiny to Xander, at the same time Giles and Kennedy stand up. Then Faith, Giles and Kennedy leave the library. Xander puts Destiny in her infant car seat and then Willow and Xander carrying Destiny's in her car seat go and sits down on the floor by the bookshelf and start looking at books. At the same time Gwendolyn Post is sitting in Giles office with a big smile on her face. Meanwhile at the book shelf Xander and Willow are kisses each other, but Destiny starts fussy and Willow pulls away from Xander. Willow and Xander look at each other for a few seconds and then Willow picks the book up that Xander drop when the two of them start to kiss.
"That cannot happen again Xander, I am dating Oz!"
"I know it won't happen again. I am going to take Destiny to Faith's apartment and put her to bed. Will can you holder looking this info up on your own?"
"Sure, Xander it probably better if you leave see you just start dating Cordelia."
Xander stands up and picks up Destiny car seat, which she is laying in and then he walks down the staircase and goes into Giles office and grabs his daughter diaper bag. A few minutes later Xander and Destiny leave the library and walks to the main doors of the high school and then walk out of the school. At the same time at the hospital Giles, Kennedy and Faith are fighting a large group of the mayor vampire off. Faith throws two stakes and dust two of the vampires at once. Faith then jumps into the air and kick a third vampire down and kneels down on top of the female vampire and stake the vampire. Giles's dusted one vampire and then he moves onto another vampire and Kennedy has just stake a vampire that was trying to pick up a newborn baby boy from his hospital bassinet. After an hour the watcher and two slayers have killed all the vampires and then Kennedy, Faith and Giles leave the hospital and head to the nearest sewer entrance, which is where Lurconis lives, when the three of them get to the sewer entrance Kennedy, Faith and Giles head down the manhole and into the sewer. Once in the sewer Kennedy, Giles and Faith see the mayor waiting for the vampires to bring him the babies. Mayor Wilkins takes off as soon as he sees Kennedy, Giles and Faith, at the same time Faith grabs the gas pipe and set Lurconis on fire. Meanwhile back at the library Gwendolyn Post has just get a call from Buffy saying that she and Angel have the glove of myhnegon, Willow hears this and walk up to Gwendolyn Post.
"Gwendolyn Post, do you need my help to destroy the glove I have a book here that tell how to do it."
"No, I am not going to destroy the glove girl. I want the glove for myself."
Gwendolyn Post hit Willow on the head with a very large and dust book and knock Willow out. Then Mrs. Post takes off and she heads to Angel Mansion that is off of the corner of Crawford Street and State Street. Meanwhile Faith, Kennedy and Giles are walking back to Sunnydale High school when the three of them run into the demon Logos. Giles grabs the axe off of the demon back and then he throws the axe to Faith, who catch the axe. A few moments later Faith cut Lagos head off with the axe.
"That two for the three of us G and Kennedy, let hope Buffy has found the glove."
"(Giles and Kennedy) Let hope that she find the glove."
Kennedy, Faith and Giles begin walking toward Sunnydale High School again and at the same time across town at Angel mansion Angel is getting everything together to destroy the glove and Buffy is keeping an eye on the glove.
"So you are sure that destroy the glove is the right thing to do Angel?"
"Yes."
"No, it is not the right thing to do Angel and Buffy. I need you to hand me the glove Buffy!"
"Who is this Buffy?"
"The new watcher I tell you about Gwendolyn Post."
"Oh."
Gwendolyn Post walks over to Buffy and Angel and starts to take the glove from Buffy, but Buffy does not hand the glove to her new watcher but gives the glove to Angel. Meanwhile at the high school library Willow has just come too and sees Kennedy, Giles and Faith come through the library doors, the two slayers and Giles see Willow is laying on the floor.
"What happened Willow?"
"Giles, Gwendolyn Post hit me over the head with a very heavy book after Buffy called saying that Angel and she have the glove at Angel place."
Faith and Kennedy turn around and runs out of the library and all the way across town to Angel Mansion. Then Kennedy and Faith run inside to the mansion and toward Buffy, Angel and Gwendolyn Post.
"Give me the glove right now Angel!"
"I know the right thing to do is destroy the glove, if it falls into the wrong hands the glove could cause major damages."
Gwendolyn Post grabs the glove from Angel hand and put the glove onto her right hand, just as Faith and Kennedy reaches the three of them. Angel grab Gwendolyn Post by the back and Buffy grab her left arm and Faith cut her right arm off with Lagos axe. A few minutes later Angel does the spell to destroy the glove for good. Then Buffy, Kennedy, Faith and Angel go to the high school library to fill Giles in on what happens. Twenty minutes later Giles goes into his office and calls the watcher council and a few minutes later Giles walks out of his offices and over to the study table. He then looks at Buffy, Kennedy, Faith and Angel.
"(Buffy and Angel) what did the watcher council say?"
"Mrs. Post got fire two years ago for miss use of dark magic."
"G I know you get a note about her being fire."
"Yes it did Faith, how could I have forgot about that."
"It no big deal, everything is fine, Faith killed both demons and we stop Gwendolyn Post before she could end the world."
"Yes we did Buffy."
"Giles stays away from my mom!"
"I have to get home to my daughter now, let go Kennedy."
"Yawning I am fine with that I am tired Faith."
Buffy, Faith, Kennedy, Willow and Angel leave the library, Buffy and Angel go out on patrol, at the same time Kennedy, Faith and Willow head home for the night. When Kennedy and Faith walk into Faith's apartment, the two slayers see Xander asleep on the couch, Faith and Kennedy tip toe pass the couch and then Faith and Kennedy goes into Destiny and Kennedy's bedroom. Once in the bedroom Kennedy walks over to her dresser and at the same time Faith sees Destiny is asleep in her crib, so Faith walks out of the bedroom and into the living room. She then tip toes upstairs to her loft bedroom and let Xander sleep
