Castiel found himself regretting his outburst merely sixty seconds into his walk to Meg's. It wasn't Dean who had sexually assaulted him after all. Dean wasn't the one he was mad at.

At the end of the block, Cas turned around and headed back in the direction of Dean's house. Maybe this space is a good thing. It gave him the chance to think. Being with his boyfriend (and best friend) all the time was honestly the best situation he could be in. Hell, it was a fantasy come true. But it also prevented him from having the personal time he had grown used to when Naomi had more or less locked him away in her house.

Maybe he could talk to Dean about that some other day, since if he suggested the topic to him now, Dean might think Cas was trying to push him away.

The Impala was in the driveway when Cas finally got home. There's that word again. Home.

He stood next to the car for a moment, admiring her. Baby, as Dean so fondly called her, was like a physical representation of Dean himself. She was gorgeous, built to rule, and had hidden treasures inside that only someone who took the time to be with her could discover.

The front door made a loud pop that jolted Cas out of his trance. He looked over to find Dean leaning against the door frame and watching him with a bemused expression. Neither said anything as Cas walked around the car and over to him.

The concrete step between the path and the house-floor caused Cas to be nearly a full head shorter than Dean, and on the spur of the moment Cas wrapped his arms around Dean's waist and dropped his head against his chest. Dean put his arms around Cas' shoulders and rested his cheek on Cas' hair.

They stood like that, wrapped and content in each other's warmth.

"I'm sorry." Cas whispered.

"You've got nothing to be sorry for." Dean murmured back, tightening his hold on Cas.

"I shouldn't have gotten mad."

"You had the right."

They fell silent until Dean pulled back, placing his hands on Cas' cheeks and lifting his face so that their eyes met.

"I love you Castiel. Don't you ever forget that."

The tenderness of Dean's voice melted Cas from the inside out. His heart skipped a beat, and he practically jumped into Dean, locking lips with him and kissing him as if his life depended on it.
