Hey there my favorite readers. Hope you are all doing great. I just want to inform you all of something about The Demon Within. I am saddened by the news but this is the second last chapter of the story. Yea I know I am also sad about it hey, I was thinking about when I started the story last year around end of August. I had already written like five chapters but was afraid to post them. After a while I decided to post them and look where I am now. One year later I finished my first fiction story and already starting with another one.

Oh yea speaking of another story. I have already posted two chapters of my new crossover between Bleach and Fairy Tail. In advance, I thought about making my chapters longer because I find it very enjoyable if I read a long chapter. The new story will have at least 6K words and will maybe stretch up to 10K or even more. Depends on my mood when writing. Chapter 36: The conclusion

We ran a few more flight of stairs before reaching the top. It was covered with trees but we could see Ichigo's black and red reishi in the distance. Kisuke made a motion to tell us to follow him and quickly. We ran full speed in Ichigo's direction, dodging and avoiding trees as we go along. We finally reached the end of the tree line and the scene unfolded before us. There stood Ichigo, blood dripping and oozing from his body. He stood in bankai with his sword held out in front of him. He turned his face and gave us a small smile.

In that moment, I could have sworn my heart stopped. Something about the way Ichigo looked at us, his face, nose, mouth and lifeless eyes. Something wasn't right and my stomach made knots everywhere. Ichigo then coughed up blood before falling to his knees, still holding his sword pointed towards his enemies.

"I will protect you all, Take care my friends. I love you Hime." Was all that we heard before a bright white light blinded us from Ichigo.

"Ichigo!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

Ichigo's POV

An hour earlier

I made my way to the hill as fast as I could. After I said my goodbye to Orihime and the others I had only one objective on my mind. To defeat Shiro and Saya by any means necessary. Within no time I reached the top of the hill to see the captain commander busy fighting my hollow. Shiro was on the defensive as the head captain attacked him with all the flames he could muster. I stood a while and watched as the two exchanged blows and attacks.

"A beautiful sight isn't it?" came the voice of Saya.

I jumped back and readied my sword for any of her attacks.

"No need to be so jumpy Ichi. I won't attack you.

"Why should I believe you? You ripped my hollow from me so that places me in a good position to not trust you."

"I have no idea why you are mad at me. Didn't you dislike the hollow inside you? Weren't you longing to get it out and be just a normal substitute soul reaper?"

The words struck something inside me. Sure sometimes I wished that he wasn't part of me. The time he fought for control I wished that more then anything. I wanted him to disappear and never show his face again for al the trouble he could cause me and the people close to me.

"See, you agree with me, even though you won't say it you are thinking it." Saya said with a victory smirk on her face.

"Shut up."

"My that is one evil look you are giving me there. Did I offend you?" Saya asked.

"Stop what you are doing Saya, this will only end bad for you. The soul reapers will stop you."

"I would like to see them try. Let's watch the battle for now. I am very interested in what will happen to the head captain and besides, I don't feel like fighting you." Saya said as she walked a bit forward.

"You have no choice. If I stop you here then it will end this crusade."

"You really going to fight me?"

Captain Yamamoto

Normal POV

As soon as they reached the hill the hollow spared no room for talk and launched himself towards the head captain. He took his big cleaver and brought it down towards the head captain. As soon as their sword met, the head captain could feel the force and power behind the strike. It was different from when he fought Ichigo as his hollow took over. Yamamoto knew he was going to have one difficult fight ahead of him. Shiro used sonido and appeared behind the head captain which Yamamoto followed and flash stepped to the side to avoid the big cleaver blade.

Again Shiro made a dash and swung his sword horizontally at the captain which Yamamoto blocked with ease. Shiro made an attempt to kick the head captain, but to his dislike the head captain grabbed his foot and threw him around and on the ground. The head captain then took the opportunity and brought down his sword towards Shiro. The hollow rolled to the side, just avoiding the flame blade. Shiro got up to his feet and jumped back to make some space between his opponent and himself.

"If I was still in Ichigo's body then we would have been dead already."

"What is that supposed to mean? Are you saying that you can take me on as an equal?" The head captain asked.

"You will just have to wait and find out for yourself."

Shiro raised his arm and pointed his sword at the head captain.

"Bankai."

A white and red sphere formed around Shiro. Yamamoto felt a sudden rise in his spiritual pressure and felt a good difference between him and Ichigo. Yamamoto knew Ichigo was strong and continued to grow in strength, but not in his dreams he would picture that his hollow would be this strong. Even though he wasn't suppressed anymore, his power nearly doubled. Any normal soul reaper that stood near this battle would fall to the ground due to all the spiritual pressure Shiro had.

Shiro slashed the air in front of him to disperse the raishi and dust to reveal his bankai to the head captain. He narrowed his eyes and gave a small but visable grin. Disappearing with sonido, the head captain could only be amazed at his speed when Shiro made the first strike. Blood ran from the head captains shoulder where Shiro had cut him. It was shallow at least so the head captain didn't worry too much about that wound.

Yamamoto narrowed his eyes, if he didn't blink then he could have avoided that strike. Shiro appeared on his side and try to pierce the head captain's skull from the side. The head captain have only stepped back and raise his arm to keep the blade from going through his skull. That's when he got the wound on his shoulder.

When the head captain's thoughts returned he noticed just in time shiro above his head and raised his sword to parry the attack. With one sweep, the captain pushed the blade of Shiro to the side and begun his own series of attacks. All fell upon the sword of Shiro as he blocked against all of them. Shiro took a step back and with both hands swung his sword with full force.

Yamamoto saw the attack coming and raised his sword to defend. The swords clashed and it sent the head captain sliding along the ground. Shiro took to the sky and his sword started to glow a white red color. He raised the sword above his head and said in a calm voice.

"Getsuga Tensho."

He swung the blade down and the beam of light raced towards the head captain. Seeing no time to get away the head captain decided to defend and deflect the Getsuga. He raised his sword but soon felt a presence behind him.

"Getsuga Tensho."

The Getsuga from behind pushed the head captain into the Getsuga that came from in front of him. The two powers collided and a huge explosion erupted from the hill that could be seen from miles away. Shiro stood a while and waited for the head captain to appear. It didn't take long for the head captain to walk out of the dust filled air with a few bruises and scratches. There was no major damage done which Shiro couldn't understand why. He released everything he had in that Getsuga.

"Now I see. You went bankai and used your flames as a protective shield just before the explosion to minimize the damage I inflict on you."

"…"

"No answer or praise from the head captain for my analyses or anything?" Shiro said sarcastically.

"What is your objective here? Why do you fight me?" the head captain asked.

"It is as I said, me and Ichigo was always the one's that saved your sorry ass if things got out of hand. We fought most of the soul society's wars and won. I mean damn Ichigo died once during the war. Not once did we get a thank you or a note from you saying that we did a good job and are truly greatfull. You know the bullshit I'm talking about. I am just here to make you remember to thank people when they help or save your life. We that would be the reason why if I was a soul reaper, I just like to fight and kill so that is reason enough."

"I see, I have always been grateful for your assistance in our struggle with any war. But as you know, Ichigo Kurosaki is not a real soul reaper and – "

The head captain was cut off by an immense amount of spiritual pressure that Shiro emitted. Yamamoto felt a strong anger coming from the hollow and soo realized that the power of Shiro has increased dramatically. Shiro had his head hung low and Yamamoto couldn't see his face.

"Again with the we aren't real soul reapers. Let me tell you something old geezer. We have always been a real soul reaper. Do you recall someone by the name Isshin Shiba?"

"How do you know of him?"

"He is Ichigo's father. Currently known as Isshin Kurosaki. Ichigo was born with soul reaper powers just as you were. So from now on, never use that excuse again that he is not a real soul reaper. Got that!"

The head captain showed no surprise on his face with the information given to him. He only stared at Shiro with the blank expression he usually has.

"Prepare yourself hollow. This time, you won't outsmart me." Was all the head captain said as the air was heating up again. Flames started to rise and trap the two in his blazing fortress of fire. Sweat begun to for on Shiro's forehead as the temperature kept on rising and rising. The head captain was now alone with Shiro and he knew he could face him without any bystanders getting in his way or that he need to worry about

The head captain had to hold back before because of the spectators. He knew that what he showed wasn't his full power and he hoped that it will work to his advantage this time. He already knew the hollows power limits, he added a few levels for his full hollow release to the gauge for safety so he knew the max power of Shiro that he could achieve.

The head captain ran with all his speed towards Shiro and slashed at him. Shiro blocked the strike just in time but he was knocked back due to the force and left him open for another attack. The head captain flash stepped to right in front of him and from low under, he slashed Shiro across his chest. Blood sprayed the canvas of the ground, coloring it crimson. Shiro narrowed his eyes and gave a soft grunt in pain as he landed on his feet a few meters back. Shiro instantly countered and used sonido to get behind the captain. In one heartbeat, Shiro was behind him and he slashed his sword straight to the back of the head captains neck, ready to cut it clean off of his shoulders.

Sparks flew in the air as the head captain brought his sword up and knocked Shiro's sword up into the air. They both jumped back to take a breather. Shiro looked at the point of his sword and back at the head captain with a grin on his face. Blood dripped from the tip of his blade.

Captain Yamamoto took his left hand and placed it at the back of his neck. He removed it again and looked at his had which was covered in blood. It was a good thing he knocked Shiro's sword upward away from his body. If he didn't do that then he would be standing here headless.

"Damn, thought I had you there." Shiro said in disappointment.

"You won't defeat me that easily. You will find that I am not that easy to kill."

"We will see."

Shiro glowed a dark red as white armor formed around his head, along with two horns. The white armor was fully formed to reveal the full hollow release of Shiro. Red fur formed along his neck line, wrists and ankles along with his hair that grew longer. He had snow white hair that came up to his lower back. The head captain could hear the soft and low growl that Shiro gave him as the transformation completed.

Yamamoto raised his sword in time to block the hollowfide getsuga tensho. Yamamoto pushed the energy beam away to the side and jumped back in time to avoid the sword of Shiro that came down towards him. Yamamoto the countered by unleashing his own attack and made stab and slash attempts at his opponent.

The two warriors moved at great speeds within the fortress which no soul reaper could follow. Only those who are captain class level and few lieutenants could have any hope of following them. Flames erupted from inside the fortress of fire as the two opponents clashed head on. Everyone who sensed the battle could only hope for the best as their head captain fought with Ichigo's former hollow.

Ichigo

Normal POV

Saya and the substitute was locked in battle as the took each other head on. Ichigo having the advantage of speed quickly maneuvered around Saya and begun his relentless attack from all directions. Saya blocked every strike with her sword as best as she could. Ichigo got through and made a deep cut over her back which caused her to fall on one knee.

"My, my someone is very determined to get this over quickly. What is your rush?" Saya asked Ichigo.

"Don't you play your innocent game here with me. Can you not see what is going on? The entire soul society is at war, hollows are swarming everywhere and people are dying because you wanted your stupid revenge. If you want revenge that badly then get it without involving people who had nothing to do with it. The faster I defeat you and my hollow, the faster we can put a stop to this senseless chaos."

Saya stood on both feet now and gave a smile. The smile turned into a giggle and then she started to clap her hands.

"That was one good speech you gave there. If it was anyone else other then me then it may have changed their minds. Unfortunately, my goal still remains. I will have my revenge for my husbands sake and I will kill anyone who gets in my way!" Saya screamed.

"Now pierce, Atalanta!"

Saya now released her sword, taunting anyone to engage or try and stop her. Ichigo stood his ground and waited for her to emerge from the cloud of dust. Ichigo took a step to the side as a few of Saya's arrows came soaring past Ichigo's head. Without missing a beat, Saya used flash step to get behind Ichigo and fired another arrow. Seeing through her attacks, Ichigo jumped into the air and raised his sword above his head.

"Getsuga Tensho!"

Ichigo released the red energy beam towards Saya. Racing at full speed, Ichigo followed his Getsuga, hoping to catch Saya of guard. Realizing the trap, Saya flash stepped further away and charge an arrow for high piercing damage. The explosion raised from the ground as the getsuga collided with the ground. Ichigo stopped dead in his tracks as soon as he realized Saya was no longer there. He scanned the area and sensed her a few meter away from her usual position. Ichigo charged again but soon saw a flash of amber coming from where he sensed Saya. On arrow came at Ichigo and he soon realized what it was.

Ichigo got out of the way, but cost him a wound on his left arm as the arrow pierced right through his left arm. Ichigo grunted in pain, nearly screaming from the amount of damage one arrow could do. Ichigo looked up to see Saya walking towards him with a emotionless face.

"I don't want to kill you Ichigo. I would avoid it at all coasts but if you keep coming after me or try to stop me then I will be forced to kill you." Saya informed him.

"You think I am going to give up because of a wound like this? Guess you really don't know me. I won't give up no matter what you throw at me." Was all Ichigo said before launching himself at Saya again.

Ichigo attacked Saya with amazing speed and swung his sword and made multiple stab attempts. Saya managed to avoid a few but she didn't manage to avoid them all. Her shoulder, leg and stomach had moderate cuts that could late effect her fighting. The one noticeable mark was the one on her forehead. Ichigo made a small nip just above her right eye. Blood rushed from the wounds and because of the wound over her eye, she was temporarily blinded as blood rushed over her eye. Wiping it away, Saya focused on Ichigo again.

"Not good being blind and able to see only through one eyes is it?" Ichigo told her.

Saya only grew a scowl as she fire another volley of arrows towards Ichigo. Avoiding the arrows with great speed, Ichigo flash stepped around the battlefield. Ichigo took to the sky as he only saw arrows flew past him. He stopped and turned towards Saya who was still rapidly firing arrows towards Ichigo. He raced towards her and soon enough appeared in front of her. He brought down his sword which Saya blocked with the blade on her bow. She pushed Ichigo back and with the edge of the bow she struck Ichigo's face, at the same time she retracted the blade from her bow and made a cut wound over Ichigo's chest.

Sensing danger, Ichigo ducked just in time to avoid the finishing blow from Saya's dagger blade. In one clean strike, Ichigo brought the Tensa sword from low under across Saya's chest up to her shoulder. Blood sprayed from her wounds and she fell to the ground on her stomach.

Ichigo stood a while and stared at Saya, he knew this was the only way to stop her from killing anymore. Ichigo turned and ran in the direction of the head captain. It didn't take Ichigo long before reaching the blazing fortress of the head captain. As soon as he saw it, the heat hit him right in the face. Ichigo couldn't believe the heat of the flames, it felt like it was going to melt his flash right off his bones.

Ichigo didn't wait long before the blazing fortress started to fade away. Inside Ichigo saw that Shiro was in the full hollow release and was down on one knee. The head captain was taking deep breaths but still stood his ground. Analyzing the situation, Ichigo could see that the head captain is winning but not by a long shot. The two must have gone all out and the victor was Yamamoto.

Ichigo felt relieved at the sight. Saya was down and so was Shiro which meant that they were victories. The battle was almost over and they can all go home.

"Damn you all." Came the voice of Saya.

Ichigo and the head captain turned around to see a beaten Saya walking towards them.

"It's over Saya. You have lost this one so just give up before you increase the death count on your hands." Ichigo said, trying to convince her.

"I won't give up that easily." Saya spat.

"How foolish you have become. Can you not see how pointless this has become?" the head captain told the red haired woman.

"Pointless? What I have done is not pointless and I will prove it right now. Shiro!" Saya yelled.

Shiro stood up and dashed towards Saya. He stood in front of her and Saya held the orb at Shiro's chest. The orb glowed a dark purple and Shiro started to fade away and drift into the orb. Ichigo and the head captain stared at the scene in front of them with wide eyes. Their surprise grew further as they saw what happened next. The orb leaked a purple smoke into Saya and the smoke was concealing her from the rest. Ichigo and the head captain could feel her power rising beyond anything they had imagined.

Ichigo swallowed hard and the head captain readied himself. Both made no move as they waited out the plan of Saya. They saw the smoke disappearing and soon enough, revealed Saya. She had changed completely in power and looks. The first thing Ichigo noticed was that Saya's skin was a pale white and she had a black cloak over her. She had half of a hollow mask which resembled Ichigo's in a way. Her weapon was a normal zanpakuto. Her eyes looked like Shiro's and Ichigo could only think of one explanation.

"You took the hollows power and fused it with your own?" The head captain asked.

"Yes, Shiro and I are one as well as our powers. We have become the ultimate weapon of both soul reaper and hollow. Aizen and Kisuke thought that the Hoguyoku was the answer but that is only half true. The best answer would be the orb of Fukatsu. It allows the hollow and soul reaper to become one but still keep their intelligence and sanity intact. It also maximizes the power of both and they will be able to use their power without restrictions." Saya explained.

"What do you mean?" Ichigo asked.

"I mean that when you and Shiro shared your body he always prevented you from fighting at full power and you prevented him from using his full power. When you get two beings who doesn't belong together or despise each other then that will result in a negative flow of power. If you have two beings becoming one and agree on things then they share their power and don't suppress each others power. That is where this orb comes in handy. It allows the hollow and soul reaper to work together and neutralize any conflict or hate they may have for each other"

"It won't make any difference if there is one or two. Your revenge will stop here." The head captain said while charging towards Saya.

Saya gave a small smile and stepped to the side to avoid the head captains strike. She lifted her sword above his head and strike down upon the head of Yamamoto. Her sword was blocked by the black blade of Ichigo. In a heartbeat, the head captain swung his sword to the side which Saya dodged with flash step.

Ichigo charged at her and brought his sword from low to Saya's side. She turned her sword's blade tip to the ground and held it at the side where Ichigo's black blade made it's way. The two swords connected and sparks flew in the air. The head captain saw an opportunity and used flash step to get behind Saya. The new transformed Saya started to panic as she was pinned between the two soul reapers. If she moved her sword to parry the head captain's sword then Ichigo will surly injure her. If she hold off Ichigo then the head captain has a clear opening to strike at her back.

Saya decided to take the hit from Ichigo since he isn't as strong as the head captain. She pushed Ichigo's sword away and spun around on her one foot to block the sword of Yamamoto. In that moment she felt a deep pain on her back as blood leaked from the cut wound caused by Ichigo. Saya used sonido to get away from the two soul reapers.

Saya knew the power she had was great. She could defeat Ichigo if he was alone but the head captain was another matter. She was not yet on his level and if she didn't get serious then she will be slaughtered. Saya weighed her options on what she could do next and what will give her the best results.

The head captain gave a stare to Saya and then to Ichigo. Never in his live did he think he would need help from Ichigo fighting along side him in battle. He knew Saya has yet to reach his level with her new found powers but if his suspicions were correct then he will probably need Ichigo's help later on. It was a big blow to Yamamoto's pride but he would have to swallow it to save the soul society from chaos.

"Ichigo." The head captain said in his normal emotionless voice.

"Yea?" Ichigo asked bluntly.

"Would you be willing to lend me your aid against Saya?"

Ichigo looked at the head captain in surprise. Never has the head captain asked him for his help. Most of the time he was ordered to do nothing or wasn't told anything so that he can keep his nose out of their affairs. A smile crept on Ichigo's face as he looked back at Saya.

"Alright."

The head captain didn't look back as he kept his focus on Saya. Unknown to the others, a small smile grew under his beard. He was grateful for the substitute. Without him this could have gone either way. Yamamoto was still worn out by his battle with Ichigo and with his hollow. The next battle will be more difficult and he didn't know how he was going to win if he got too tired or drained of his power. He had already used a large quantity and he can only fight for a few minutes before he will start feeling the fatigue and the last thing they need is a worn out warrior on the battlefield.

"I have to say that I am very impressed with this form of mine. With this I will be able to beat you and have my revenge." Saya said as she started to glow a purple aura.

"Now kill, Keres!" was all Saya screamed as a burst of her spiritual pressure was released.

Reishi shot out from Saya and into every direction. Ichigo lifted his arm to cover his eyes as the wind picked up. A whirlwind formed around her which was covered in a dark black purple color. Ichigo wondered what sort of power she will possess now. With her and Shiro's power becoming one their powers together could create something very powerful. Ichigo knew this since he knows how strong his hollow is. He also has a good measure of how strong Saya was so with that in mind, this release of her should prove a problem.

The whirlwind started to settle and Ichigo could look without using his arm for cover. The smoke Reishi that leaked from the whirlwind shot up towards the sky and came together before it shot into the center of the whirlpool. As soon as it connected with Saya, the wind dispersed around Saya and she could be seen again.

Saya's look had completely changed again. There she stood hovering above the surface of the ground. Her hands and feet had hollow claw like characteristics. Her hair was in two pony tails with white lines throughout her hair. She had black armor around her arms, legs, torso and feet. There were small openings between the armor pieces and there was also purple decorations on the armor with patterns which was in another language that Ichigo couldn't understand. The most noticeable was her new wings which was pitch black feathers that towered over her.

"Mmmm, didn't expect to change like this but it suits with the name don't you think?

Ichigo and the head captain remained silent as they stared at Saya with hard eyes. Her power increase was great, more then Ichigo and the head captain thought possible. Ichigo knew their situation was bad and the head captain knew it as well. Out of the two of them, Ichigo was in the best condition. Yamamoto was worn out due to the two battles he had before and Ichigo didn't know how long they will be able to hold Saya back before she decides to finish the job.

Ichigo mentally cursed in his head. If only he had his hollowfication and the head captain was in a better condition then they could have beaten Saya. The head captain would still be able to fight but for how long Ichigo was unsure of. Ichigo only felt about half of the head captains power now then he did when he fought him, which made Ichigo a bit unsure of the outcome.

"Are you two ready to die?" Saya asked them with a smile.

"Not today." Ichigo said as he made a dash for Saya.

Saya only smiled as she looked at Ichigo storming towards her. She raised her scythe and swung it from her right side towards Ichigo. Ichigo raised his sword in time to block the scythe. Ichigo didn't move as he was amazed at her speed. Ichigo could only barely follow that attack. If he didn't focus then his head would have rested beneath her feet right now.

Ichigo regained his focus and pushed the scythe to the side and flash stepped to right behind Saya. Again his sword raced towards the winged Saya but was blocked again with the handle of the scythe. Ichigo pressed harder against the scythe, pinning it down so the head captain could get a strike in. The head captain saw the opportunity and made his way to Saya.

He appeared before her and swung his sword towards her right arm which held the scythe. His sword connected under her right arm which made a cut wound. Saya got an angry look and pushed Ichigo back, used sonido and cut the head captain across the back. She disappeared again but appeared before Ichigo. She slashed Ichigo across the chest with one strike. Blood colored the ground with Ichigo's and the head captain's blood as both of them felt a deep pain. They both swung at Saya but she disappeared before their swords could reach her.

Both soul reapers turned their heads to look at Saya and were struck with shock. Her wound under her arm was almost gone as it was only a small scratch that was now there. Ichigo thought that she could use instant regeneration, but if that was the case then wouldn't the wound have completely disappeared. Many theories ran across Ichigo's mind as he tried to figure out how her new powers worked.

"How did you do that?" Ichigo asked Saya.

"How did I do what?" Saya asked him.

"How did you heal your wound that quickly? I already know it's not instant regeneration since your entire wound hasn't disappeared ."

"Oh, that is one of the powers of my new zanpakuto. Keres here is the spirit of death. Mostly the cruel type like murder or death on the battlefield. When Keres strikes an opponent then she takes away some of their life and use it to restore my power and heal my wounds. In other words, the more wounds I inflict with the scythe the more my injuries will heal if I have any."

So that was it. Ichigo needed to avoid that scythe at all times. The more he gets hit, the more he helps Saya recover from any type of injury. Now Ichigo was more careful as he didn't know if she had more abilities. Each zanpakuto was different then the next. One of them could have one unique power or two. Some may even have more then two so Ichigo would first have to figure that out.

Saya was a good distance away but she raised her scythe and with a powerful swing she swung the scythe and a purple light was sent racing towards them. Ichigo and the head captain raised their swords and blocked the beam of light that rushed towards them. As soon as the light came into contact with their swords, the light became lighter in color and passed right through them.

Ichigo looked around and at his body. He felt the power of the attack but there was no real damage done to his body. Ichigo and the head captain shared a gaze as they tried to figure out what just happened. Looks like the two of them didn't know what happened. When they returned their gaze to Saya, they could see she had a small smile on her face.

Saya launched an attack and charged right towards the two. Ichigo readied himself for Saya's attack. As soon as she brought her scythe down towards Ichigo, he jumped to his right side. The head captain made his move and ran towards Saya as he saw an opening. The head captain swung his sword and thought of activating his flames for more damage. He decided to go for it but when his sword almost made contact his eyes widened as his sword didn't respond to his command.

Saya dodged at the last second as she saw the head captain not focusing on his attack and slashed him across the chest which sent him flying backwards. Ichigo had to act quickly and raised his sword above his head.

"Getsuga Tensho!" Ichigo screamed.

He slashed his sword towards Saya but to his surprise, nothing happened. The Getsuga beam never released from his blade. Still trying to figure out what happened, Saya hit Ichigo in the stomach with the bottom end of the scythe. Ichigo coughed up blood from the impact and fell to one knee. He saw Saya spun around with her scythe and it came straight for his head. Instinctively Ichigo raised his sword and blocked the sharp end of the scythe that would have beheaded him.

Saya and Ichigo was locked in a stale mate and both of them pushed against the others weapon to be able to counter attack. Ichigo, feeling weak, gave in first but luckily ducked under the blade as it slashed the air above him. As soon as he got up Saya kicked him away and sent him rolling along the floor.

Bones and joints pained throughout Ichigo's body as he laid there on the ground. Ichigo tried to push himself up with his free hand while the other gripped his sword. He looked up to see Saya standing in front of him. Ichigo couldn't believe how useless he has become. If only he had his hollowfication then he could have at least weaken her so that the head captain could finish her or something.

"Why, what happened to my Getsuga?" Ichigo asked himself out loud.

"That was a my strike of silence. It will seal of any abilities that your zanpakuto may have like your Getsuga for a few seconds, making it impossible for you to use it." Saya explained.

Ichigo could only give her a glare. Soon he saw the head captain standing a few meters behind Saya with his cold icy stare. Saya looked over her shoulder at the head captain.

"I admire your strength head captain. After three battles with strong opponents you still stand to oppose me." Saya said with a smile.

"You should know by now that I don't give in to foolish demands and plots. You seek blood Saya so it is blood you will get. Let's finish this fight as it is between us." The head captain said.

"I see. So be it then. I will finally get my revenge. Prepare to die head captain." Saya said as she begun to swing her scythe next to her.

The head captain gave a look towards Ichigo. Not knowing what the head captain was trying to do Ichigo raised a brow. The head captain only nodded and closed his eyes. Ichigo's eyes went wide as he knew what the head captain was trying to say. Maybe he was wrong but it was something along the line of 'I will give you some time so prepare the killing blow. I won't be able to do it so it's up to you.'

Ichigo wanted to scream out to not do this. He should retreat and let him hold her off while he get's more help. There was no way that the head captain and Ichigo could beat her. Ichigo didn't have his hollofication so his power was greatly reduced. The head captain was in two earlier battles before this one and already took some blows that was almost fatal. He is worn out and most of his spirit energy has been used.

Ichigo mentally cursed as he didn't know what he could do. He suddenly thought of something. He could use that but what would happen afterwards is what got him thinking. Closing his eyes Ichigo knew there was no other way. He looked at the head captain and gave a nod in agreement.

Without waiting further the head captain charged towards Saya and swinging his word as fast as he could, hoping to land a strike on her. Saya parried all of the strikes and begun her own attacks. Swinging violently, the head captain could only defend against the force that she was swinging the scythe.

The two disappeared and reappeared several times, trying to catch the other off guard. Ichigo has finally gotten to his feet and looked at the battle. He was amazed at the head captain. Even thou he had already went through two battles before this one he was still holding his own against Saya. No wonder he is the head captain. Shaking his head, Ichigo forced himself to focus. He held his sword in front of him and closed his eyes to focus. He could feel his power gathering and kept on gathering as much as he could.

After a while Ichigo smiled as he was now ready. He looked up to see the head captain still fighting Saya. They both landed on the ground and made a dash towards each other. There was a flash of light as their weapons clashed. Both stopped and turned to look at each other.

Saya spared a look before launching another attack on Yamamoto. She slashed the air in front of her and a scythe made of purple light shot from the blade and raced towards Yamamoto. The scythe was the knocked away by the head captain but saw that Saya was gone. Ichigo was speechless, he didn't know what to do as he saw Saya behind the head captain. The head captain mouthed something that Ichigo didn't hear. Only Saya could hear as she was the nearest to him.

Before his eyes, the head captain had lost his other arm and his body was cut in half at the waist. His upper body fell to the floor and blood started to pour out from his body onto the floor. His lower body fell backwards. A small dust cloud raised from the ground as the two part body made contact with the floor. Saya let out a small breath and closed her eyes.

"Centuries of anger and revenge has been lifted from my shoulders. My goal is almost complete." She said with a smile.

Saya then felt a huge spiritual pressure behind her and turned to see Ichigo standing there.

"You still intend to fight in your condition? Have you forgotten that the more I injure people the more wounds will heal and spirit energy is restored? I just killed the head captain so all my wounds and spirit energy is restored. There is no way you will be able to defeat me." Saya said with a smile.

"We will see about that."

Ichigo glowed a dark black and red as he was preparing his attack.

"Burakku Getsuga Hitsugi." Was all Ichigo said before a red and black box of spiritual energy formed around Saya.

Inside it became pitch black and Saya couldn't see a thing. She looked around to try and find a way out but there was none. She then felt something approaching her from behind. As she turned a black and red Getsuga beam crashed into her and made a big explosion inside. She was knocked backwards and a frown appeared on her face.

'How is this possible. Could he really be using this in his condition?' Saya thought.

Saya's eyes widened as she saw many Getsuga beams racing towards her from all directions. Everywhere she looked, left, right, behind and above her was a Getsuga coming for her. Four Getsugas with immense power clashed together. Saya jumped out the smoke and explosion with multiple cut wounds and scratches which were fairly deep.

She didn't have time to asses her wounds as yet even more were on their way. She avoided most of them but as she turned around she saw that the beams was following her. She looked around to see yet two more barrages of Getsugas were on their way. Saya stopped in the middle of the box and closed her eyes.

'Guess there is no getting away from it.' She thought.

As soon as every Getsuga hit their mark, there was a flash of white light.

I just want to say one thing before I conclude the chapter. I didn't know if the head captain knew of Isshin being in the world of the living but just chose to let him live in peace. So if I am incorrect then I apologize. It has been months since I read the manga of bleach so I have not yet updated my info. Think I was at the chapter where Isshin finally told Ichigo about his mother and stuff. Can't remember, but anyway. Please leave a review. It always inspires me to write more and update faster.
