Hello readers! Can you believe it?! I've actually managed to get a chapter out on time! Especially with all the things I currently have going on the moment this is progress to have this chapter up and ready. If I can keep this up, I'll be extremely proud of myself. Anyways, welcome to the new followers and welcome back to those that have continued to read my story. Hello to everyone that is coming from Tumblr (inthemindofanother OR xxwritemeastoryxx) and thanks for giving my story a chance.
On to the reviews:
LoneButterfly05: Her year away has been planned out for something else entirely and that will be told this chapter what the plan is. As for her arrival to Whitmore wont be discussed for at least another... eight to nine chapters, her time there wont be written out until the sequel of this lovely story.
Happy Reading.
There was blood covering almost every surface visible. Pools of blood rested in several spots on the floor throughout the compound. Dripping blood could be heard easily as it fell from the surfaces of desks and tables. It looked as if someone walked into the place and sprayed blood through a hose as if it was nothing but water. It was as if the place had been pulled from a horror film.
Elizabeth stood in the doorway taking it all in. Her eyes scanned looking for any kind of sign as to what had happened. She didn't know how it happened or who's blood it belonged to. Though she was sure it would have taken several hundred bodies to cover this place as it had. There wasn't any bodies that littered the floor so she had to rule out a killing spree. But then again the bodies could have easily been somewhere else.
As she looked around, a thought had crossed her mind that made her rush upstairs. If someone had made a mess of the place, they may have found Klaus and that had caused her to worry. Coming to the doors of his room, she stopped just outside of it confused. While the walls before her had been covered in blood, his room door hadn't been touched in the slightest.
Looking around, she placed her hand on the room door handle before turning it slowly. Instead of opening as it should, it stayed closed. Elizabeth's eyebrow raised as she looked at the door. It shouldn't have been locked. The spell cloaking spell she had Jess place on the room should have still been up that there was no need to keep the door locked. She tired opening it once more and was met with the same results.
Taking more of a brutal approach, Elizabeth kicked at the door. With her strength, it should have fallen over or even broke into pieces. But it was as if the door could not be taken down by her.
"It's not going to open." A male's voice filled the room. It caused a shiver to run through Elizabeth's body as she kept her eyes on the door in front of her. She hadn't heard that voice in over three years. It was a voice that should be impossible to hear again.
"You can't be here." She said softly as she shook her head. "You're dead." She was sure of that. Her hand had been the one to pierce his chest and remove his beating heart from it. She had remembered holding his heart in her hand for a moment before tossing off the side of the railing.
The chuckle that passed his lips was sinister. He took a step towards her from his spot in the entry way of that particular hall. That hall had never felt so small in that moment to Elizabeth. "Well, you should know most people in this city don't stay dead."
Elizabeth looked at him then and she had to blink a few times to even believe what she was seeing before her. But even then it hadn't felt real. There was no ashen gray color to his face, there was no gaping hole in his chest and his clothes were not tattered in the slightest. There had been no water damage as there should have been from him being in the river for over three years. His eyes looked dark with anger just as the day she had killed him.
"Some things are meant to stay dead, Marcel." She said holding her head high. She needed to show him that while she had been shocked to see him, she wasn't afraid of him. "I know you can't be alive if I had taken the serum from you."
Elizabeth hoped that this was dream. She hoped that the man standing in front of her did not in fact come back with the serum running through his veins. If he had in fact done that, this whole thing had been for nothing. He knew where Klaus was currently being hidden. She couldn't get in there and for all she knew he could be bitten. It was a worst case scenario but she didn't know what to believe in that moment.
Marcel took a few final steps towards her, leaving him just inches away from her. "Come on, Liz. You of all people should know to expect the least expected. I sure as hell didn't expect for you to rip my heart out from my chest, but you did."
"You're here to try and kill me aren't you?" She never once moved or even cowered. She just looked him straight in the eyes, searching them. Searching for anything that would give her a clue as to his plan. "I doubt you'd be able to even lay a hand on me, not with this serum."
Marcel just chuckled as a smirk grew on his face. "I'm not here try." His words should have made her laugh. They should have made her put her guard up even more. But before a second could even pass in that second, he shoved his hand into her chest. A gasp left her lips as she tried to grab a hold of his hand to try and break it. But no matter what she did, it made him squeeze tighter on her heart. "No hard feelings, Liz." Was the last thing he had said before ripping her heart from her chest.
Elizabeth shot up in her bed, panting. Her eyes scanned the room to see that the room hadn't been covered in blood. Her hands came up to her chest to make sure there weren't any cuts and to obviously check that her heart was was till there beating under her palm. Sighing, she ran a hand through her hair. Her nightmares had been getting worse. She hardly had them before. But it seemed that after last week's get together, they had been making an appearance a lot more.
The sound of her phone going off had caused Elizabeth to actually jump. She knew she was on edge, but that had been a first to her. Reaching over to her night stand, she picked up her phone. Flashing on the screen had been Hayley's name.
"Hey, whats up?" She asked as soon as she answered the phone.
Is everything okay over there? Hayley asked. Elizabeth could hear the worry in her voice. It had caused Elizabeth's eyebrow to raise.
"Everything is fine." She said as she climbed out of bed. She even walked over to the window and looked out. Everything had seemed peaceful. "Why?"
I have Hope over here, almost in hysterics that Elijah felt something was wrong and that you needed to be checked in on.
A sigh passed Elizabeth's lips. "How long has she been visiting this morning?"
About three hours now. Is there something we should be worried about?
"No." Elizabeth said shaking her head even though Hayley couldn't see her. "I was having a rather harsh nightmare. Something tells me Elijah could feel my emotions of it."
She's fine. Just a nightmare. Elizabeth heard her say to Hope before she sighed. You had them all quiet worried when Elijah said it felt like someone had a grip on his heart.
Those words had caused Elizabeth to freeze for a moment. She had to look down at her chest once more. No, there wasn't anything that gave the sign that someone had their hand in her chest as Marcel did in her dream. There wasn't a hole in her shirt and there wasn't dried blood anywhere.
Liz? Hayley's voice on the other end had pulled her out of her thoughts.
"I'm here." She said sighing. "I promise I'm fine. I'll go take a visit out there later today. It's a nightmare that I would rather speak about without her standing right there listening."
Why don't you go tell your Uncle she's okay and that she'll be here later on today. Elizabeth could hear Hope's retreating steps and silence before she heard a door close. So that bad of a nightmare?
"It seems to be that way. Marcel was in it." Elizabeth bit the inside of her cheek trying to make sense of the dream. "It was like I was living out a vision of that stupid prophecy." Elizabeth still couldn't believe out of all the nightmares she's had in her lifetime, this one had scared her the most. She had to fight back that feeling though. She could feel that Hope was with Elijah in that moment. She couldn't let him feel that she was afraid of a dream she had.
So Elijah feeling a grasp on your heart wasn't just in his head. Hayley noted.
"Nope." Elizabeth said popping the 'p'. "I don't know if he had just been feeling my emotions through the bond or if I had somehow pulled him into it somehow. This isn't the first time I've done that."
Well, its a good thing you plan on stopping by later. Knowing him, he's probably losing his mind in there. Hope's assurance isn't going to help that much.
Hayley had been right about that. Elizabeth would have been the same way. She would need to look over Elijah to make sure he had in fact been okay. It didn't help that she could feel him worry in that moment. "He's definitely worried. Let me take care of a few things here and then I'll be on my way out there."
Sure thing. We'll be here waiting.
Elizabeth hung up the phone and laid back in her bed. Her eyes stared up at the ceiling as she tried to process her dream. She couldn't make sense of what it could possibly mean. But even though she had felt afraid of the dream earlier, she knew she couldn't fear it now. Not when she could feel Elijah's worry subside for a moment. She took a deep breath before she jumped out of bed.
...
"We never found his body." Elizabeth said shaking her head as she watched as Klaus painted away on a canvas. After she got off the phone with Hayley, she had to go and make sure that everything was in order with Klaus' room. The room hadn't been touched in any way that would alarm her. The spell was still intact as it should be, Klaus was still cloaked and there was no sign of anyone attempting to enter the room recently. That had made Elizabeth relax more than she had been. But since she was there in the room, she couldn't leave without at least giving him a visit.
"That does not mean that he is alive, Liz." He said looking over his shoulder at her. "Some of our demons like to rear their heads at us when we least expect it. You still feel guilty for what you had done to him. Its normal to have nightmares. I know I usually do."
She shook her head slightly. "It felt so real, Klaus. Real enough that Elijah felt it while Hope was visiting this morning."
"You both are still figuring out the details of this bond of yours." He noted as he dipped his paintbrush into a light blue shade before he continued on painting. "It appears that you've reached out to him while in your nightmare. If Hope hadn't been visiting at the time, I'm sure he wouldn't have felt a thing."
"Sometimes I think it would be so much easier if the universe just dropped a manual in front of me on how this whole thing works." Elizabeth said with a sigh as she tilted her head back for a moment.
Klaus chuckled and looked over at her. "And where would the fun be in that?" He asked giving her a smile. "What you and my brother have, that is something I envy. To have someone designed for you in a way that almost no one can take away from you. Even when it was taken away, you still cared for my brother deeply, checked in on him from time to time."
"Are you sure this is something to envy, Klaus?" She asked watching him. "While I absolutely love that I have a connection with your brother that is rare, that doesn't make thing easier with us having our enemies. All it is going to take is for someone to get a hold of Elijah or even myself and the other isn't going to care what needs to be done to get them back. Whenever this is over, I am sure we'll both be targeted. Heel I've been target twice already."
Klaus sighed placing the brush down. "Our family will always be targeted. Even now, there are others searching for them as we speak. I'm sure you know that it is to either kill them off to hurt me, or as you say, they can use Elijah against you. Its the reason you've taken the precautions you have. No matter who it is, we always seem to put our family before anyone else."
Elizabeth wanted to laugh. While yes, Hayley was keeping the other Mikaelsons safe, there was a reason for all of this and it had came in the form of a vision form Jess all those years ago. "I promised I would do anything I could to get the cures for them. Keeping them hidden with Hayley keeps to that promise."
"How is that going?" He asked as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Are we still waiting for answers that may or may not come?"
"While I promised that I would be the one to sit around and wait, it doesn't mean that things aren't being done." She said with a nod. "Lily managed to isolate three of the strands of venom so far."
"But?" He asked taking a step towards her, interested in the details she had to give.
"Two of them had been from yours and Hayley's packs. It was easier to pull them from my venom with your samples. But the other one, she managed to pull all on her own."
"Wouldn't it be easier to just go out and get each sample from the packs instead of having your scientist try and tear it apart to reverse it?" It was something many of them had been wondering and Elizabeth had always tried leaving that option off the table.
"I'll think about it. Maybe with the city finally being as it needs to I can ask Mary about arranging meetings with a few packs. But for now I'd like to keep going to them off the table. Lucien did a lot to the seven packs, I don't want to be known for something like that." While she currently had the product of Lucien's scheming running through her veins, she hoped that it would never have to come down to forcing someone to give up their venom to find a cure for hers.
"No matter how you look at it love, you'll never be him." He said placing his hand on her shoulder. "If you can manage to befriend the entire wolf community of New Orleans, I can assure you that with time, you can do the same with the others."
She smiled at him. "I'll keep that in mind."
"Good." He said returning the smile. "Now go." He said nodding his head off to the side. "I'm sure my brother is waiting for you to ensure your safety."
She chuckled and shook her head slightly. "Oh I'm sure he's not going to want to let me leave once I'm there."
"Elijah," Elizabeth said with a slight whine as he checked her over for the injury that didn't even exist. "I promise I am fine. It was just a nightmare." She felt like she was five years old again, after she had run through a patch of thrones and Elijah was checking for any scratches or embedded thorns.
"One that I had felt." He said shaking his head slightly. "The last time I had felt one of your dreams, I had found out you had consumed that serum."
"There is no truth to this one." She said placing her hands on his face to make him look at her. "It was a nightmare. One that I had no control over. I felt as if I was in danger in that nightmare and the bond reached out to you. But here I am, alive as much as I can be and I give you my word that I'm okay." She had been okay, there wasn't a single scratch on her. Her worries from the dream slowly being forgotten.
While the nightmares had been more frequent the past few days, she thought it was just the stress of everything. It happened to her while she had been human and she was positive that this had been the same thing. They would come and go and it just happened they came after the events of the week long, unwanted, celebration.
He only nodded slightly as he placed his hands on top of hers before bringing them down to his lips. He kissed the backs of her hands before bringing them down to their sides. "Do you have any idea how worried I was when I felt that? I couldn't even begin to tell you where my thoughts had ran to."
She frowned slightly. "I know. Being here in this and feeling something like that must have been hard. Like you can't do anything to help. I know you hate it in here. And as much I would love to just stay here with Hayley and visit every waking hour, we know I can't."
It was obvious why they both hated this. Elizabeth wanted Elijah home. She wanted to be able to see him as much as she could. She wanted to be able to go to bed at night knowing he was safe beside her. Elijah wanted to be there to protect her, even though she didn't needed it. He wanted to be there by her side without it being a planned visit, without any kind of interruptions or the fact that they weren't together physically. Just in this spell that made it possible to see each other.
What really didn't help with Elijah's worry was the fact that many from Klaus' sireline had just been in New Orleans. For all they know someone could have easily stuck around if they had plans of their own. He knew how easy it was to hide within plain sight before striking. Elizabeth could easily be in danger, her dreams warning her and there would be nothing to actually warn her out there.
"I'd feel better if I knew that you were being careful about who comes into the city." Always so protective of her and Elizabeth loved that about him. She loved that even though he knew keeping tabs on every single vampire that stepped foot into New Orleans was next to impossible, he would suggest it just to keep her safe.
She smiled up at him, a chuckle threatening to pass her lips even though she knew he was being serious. "I'll have Vincent come up with something." She said before kissing him softly. "Now please, no more worrying about this dream."
He sighed but he wasn't ready to give this up just yet. "You haven't even explained your dream to me."
She huffed slightly. "The details of the dream would just cause you to worry more."
"Humor me." He said and it caused her to roll her eyes slightly at him.
"Marcel was alive and he knew where I was keeping your brother. We only spoke for a moment before his hand was in my chest and pulling my heart out." She sighed as she felt how his emotions had changed with her words. "That was when I woke up and a moment later, Hayley was calling me."
Those words had gotten Elijah thinking about the past. Much like Elizabeth's earlier worries, Elijah wondered if Marcel had been truly dead. It made him think about that night on the bridge all over again. "Is there any possibility that he may still be alive."
"I questioned the same thing this morning." She said with a nod. "He didn't have the serum, I pulled his heart out and he was lost to the river. Unless there is some witch out there that wants Marcel alive, there is no possible way that he can be alive. Plus, its been three years, I'm sure if he was alive he would have made himself known by now."
"Unless he is hiding like the rat he can be." Elizabeth shook her head at his words. She knew he didn't like that she was dreaming up of people killing her, but it wasn't like she had a say in what her dreams did.
"I'd like to think it was just my stress getting the best of me." She wasn't going to let him keep this mood of his going. "If-that is a big if, Elijah-that Marcel shows up, I'll be ready for him. But deep in my gut, that content and safe feeling that you are ignoring, is telling me that his was just my guilt rearing its head at the most inconvenient time."
He nodded his head even though he hated the whole idea that was in his head. But he did feel the content feeling that came from her. One that was no longer tainted by fear or even worry. There was nothing but her feeling safe in that moment. It was his worry, his fear and his helplessness that had clouded the happiness she felt in that moment.
He ran his hand through her hair. "I just loath the thought of something happening to you. I don't know what I would do without you."
She smiled and leaned into his touch. "I'll always be here in some form."She promised. "May it be here right now in this Dream world with you or out there and you being able to feel that I am alive and okay, I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me for the rest of time."
That had made him grin and every emotion that Elizabeth felt coming from him had been nothing but happiness. There really would be no separating them once he was free from this. "I see no issue with that statement. I have no intention of letting you leave my side."
"Are you sure that's not the bond speaking?" She asked jokingly as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Cause I can assure you, there will be times where you wont want me around."
He shook his head, his grin turning into a small smirk. "Nonsense." He said pulling her closer to him. "Even without the bond, I'd still want you by my side." He kissed her softly.
"I can't find anything wrong with that." She said smiling.
"If she is only here for one day, you better intend on allowing her to step in this house so we can speak with her." Rebekah's voice rang out from the house causing both of them to laugh slightly even though annoyance was present between them.
"Your sister." She said shaking her head slightly.
"Welcome to the family." Elijah said with a grin before leading her inside.
"Alright, Hope." Hayley said looking at Hope. "It's bed time." Hope and Elizabeth had been sitting at the table playing board and cards games for the last few hours. It amazed Hayley how much the two had bonded over the years. Even now as she looked at both of them, she could see Hope taking to Elizabeth's style. Both of them had been wearing a dark blue top and dark jeans. The gems they had enchanted now hung from their necks, wrapped in a similar style thanks to Hope's current obsession with making jewelry.
At the mention of it being bed time, a pout formed on Hope's lips. She didn't think it was even that late. She knew that Elizabeth would be leaving before she woke up in the morning and she wanted to spend as much time as she possibly could with the woman.
"Can Aunt Liz tell me a story before I do?" Hope asked with pleading eyes.
Hayley sighed and nodded. "Just one story and then bed, okay?" She couldn't deny her that. As many times as she had went in to read her a bed time story, she could spare one night to allow Elizabeth to do the honors.
"Okay." Hope said with a grin on her face. She got out of her seat and collected the game pieces to put away. Elizabeth helped her put everything into its proper boxes before watching her carry everything to her room.
Elizabeth got up from her seat and walked with Hope over to her room. She watched as Hope climbed into bed after depositing the game boxes on the desk and settled in. "What story do you want me to read to you?" She asked as she turned to the bookshelf crammed with books.
"Can you tell me how you and Uncle Elijah met?" Hope asked with a smile from her spot in her bed.
"That is kind of a short story." Elizabeth said with a smile as she walked over to Hope's bed and sat by her feet.
Hope smiled and nodded. "I want to hear your side. Uncle Elijah told me his side."
"And what exactly did your Uncle say?" Elizabeth asked curiously. She never knew Hope had even asked him. Then again she had been so preoccupied with getting the cures that it could have happened while she was gone.
"He said that our family was running from Mikael." Hope said with a nod. "Along the way they came to find a village where he met your family. He said you were a shy little girl that didn't usually take to strangers."
"He is right." Elizabeth said with a nod. "But that is pretty much the whole story there."
"No it isn't." Hope said shaking her head. "We don't know your side of it."
Elizabeth laughed and before she gave Hope another smile. "Alright, I'll tell you everything I remember." She said with a nod. She thought for a moment, thinking about any other details that she could give Hope that Elijah hadn't given her. "I remember it being fall. The leaves beginning to turn, the flowers that I had always picked for my mother, no longer willing to grow as they did. I remember my sister and I running with the other kids that had been out that day." She sighed softly before a smile grew on her lips. "The scent of my mother's soup cooking away on the fire, it was like any other day to me. That was until one of the village hunters came home with not only meat for the village but a whole family in tow.
"It was like the whole village had stopped once they walked into it. We weren't used to having travelers come through and when they did, we hardly trusted them. There had been a time where several travelers would come and steal from us. And seeing these strangers walk in with the village hunter, we had all been shocked. I remember my mother holding me and my sister back as my father went to speak with them. He was the village leader, and always tried to gauge on if they were good people or not. If anyone had even gave the slightest hint of suspicion, father would turn them away.
"I was curious about these strangers. And no matter how many times my mother tried calling me back to my spot, I ignored her. It was like there was this..."Elizabeth stopped for a moment chuckling to herself. "There was this pull towards them. More specifically towards your Uncle Elijah. While I hadn't rushed on over to where my father stood, I cautiously watched as he talked to them. And I can still clearly remember the words your Uncle said to my father 'We mean you no harm. We only wish to offer our skills in return for our stay.' Those words had said all that needed to be said for my father to agree to them staying there. Once I saw my father place his hand out in front of him, I knew it was safe to be by his side and I ran.
"Your Aunt Rebekah was the first face I had seen when I reached my father. She had a grin on her face when I got there. I don't know if it was because of me or that they had just been welcomed into the village. And then I saw Elijah, there was something about him that told me that I'd be safe around him. When it came to your dad and Kol, I felt like I had to keep my guard up with them." She shook her head for a moment. "Anyways, my father picked me up, tired of me clinging to his leg. And then he introduced me to them. Your Aunt had pinched my cheeks and made me hide into my father's chest." That had caused both her and Hope to laugh.
"She does like to pinch cheeks." Hope said covering her cheeks up with her hands at the thought.
"She'll eventually stops, I promise." She said with a smile. "I stayed in my father's arms for a bit longer, just watching them. I watched each hand gesture, each smile that formed on their lips, the way I found your Uncle Elijah's voice calming. It was definitely something that was strange to me. My parent's voices were the only thing to calm me down, but hearing your Uncle's, I felt calm and safe. I didn't get a chance to hear what they would talk about next because my younger sister came over demanding that I'd go back and continue our game."
"Did you become friends with them after?" Hope asked curiously. She wanted to know everything she could about her family.
"A few days after, yes." Elizabeth said with a nod. "I was attached to Rebekah and Elijah more than the others. Rebekah had been like an older sister than I never knew I wanted or needed. As for Elijah... it was hard to explain. For a child as myself, I shouldn't have felt complete comfort with a stranger that had came to our village."
"What made them leave your village?" Hope asked with a tilt of her little head.
"What did your Uncle tell you?" Elizabeth wanted to know what she knew. She didn't want to give a different story than what she had heard.
"He said that dad and Uncle Kol thought it was time to move on just in case if Mikael came." She explained and Elizabeth felt her chest tighten. He didn't tell her about the horrible things she had come home to that night. She could understand why though, why taint her with a horrific past of her father when she had yet to really know him.
"They did." Elizabeth said with a nod. "They believed that spending as much time as they had in our village had been long enough. I know Rebekah and Elijah didn't want to leave, but they followed their brothers. And I missed them greatly from the moment they left."
"But you got to see them again, Uncle Elijah said he came to visit you a lot." Hope said as she snuggled herself deeper into her bed.
Elizabeth smiled. "I got to see them several years later when I was grown. I was in a very bad place at that time. And when I saw Elijah again after that I felt so safe. But they couldn't stay long. Mikael knew where my village was and that they were there. So they had to leave again."
"When did you see them again?" The question had made Elizabeth chuckle. "I saw your family several different times as the years passed. I watched the world change around us and from time to time I would check in on them. I honestly couldn't give you the exact amount of years that passed in between each time I saw them. And then for a good while I hadn't seen them, but I always kept my ears open for any news of them. Seeing them is one thing, but the next time I had gotten to talk to your family had been just a few years ago when I came to town."
"You won't leave once we wake them?" Hope asked as her eyes slowly started to close and yawn passed her lips. Elizabeth smiled and watched as she fell asleep moments later.
"I promise that I'll come back no matter how long I am gone for." She said softly as she kissed Hope's forehead.
She couldn't make the promise of staying once they were cured. Not when she knew what she did. She'd be breaking her promise to the girl the moment she made the promise. It was why she chose her words carefully. She had to believe that once this was all over, she'd come back to them.
...
"You look like you could use this." Hayley said as she held out a glass of bourbon to Elizabeth. Hayley had found Elizabeth sitting outside on the porch. For the last few minutes it seemed that Elizabeth had been lost in her thoughts. While Hayley didn't know about all of the troubles that Elizabeth had to deal with, she knew that it must not be easy for the woman.
Elizabeth smiled and took the glass. "Thanks." She said before taking a drink. "I've been thinking, what are the chances of some of the packs willingly handing over a vial of venom to me?"
"I'm sure it isn't going to be easy. You'll have to show them that you mean them no harm. Even then it might be a little difficult." She leaned against the railing that surrounded the porch. "I take it that Lily isn't having any breakthroughs on finding the cure?"
"She's getting there. It's just taking more time than I would like for it to." More like Elizabeth was tired of sitting around and not being able to do anything. The last several months were killing her. She wanted to be doing something, anything to make this all go faster but each day seemed to be passing agonizingly slow. "Klaus thinks it may be easier to go from having the venom to making a cure instead of trying to break down mine to find it."
"That could work." Hayley said with a nod. "But like I said, its going to take time to gain their trust. While I'm sure they've heard by now that you've befriended the Crescents, some will still be skeptical because of all the horrible things Lucien had done to them."
"That's what I believed would happen." Elizabeth shook her head before taking another drink from her glass. "I've put off the idea of going to them for fear that they would see me asking as being like him. Plus I didn't want to drag them all into Mikaelson drama."
Hayley laughed and shook her head slightly. "If I had a dollar for every time I got pulled into Mikaelson drama, I'd be able to take Hope to Paris by now." That had caused Elizabeth to laugh and shake her head as well. "No one is going to judge you if you ask for help. They'll judge you and become afraid if you just take it as Lucien did."
"I don't think I could ever force someone to do something like that. Even as desperate as I am, I wouldn't want someone to be forced to do something against their will." No matter how much Elizabeth wanted to be able to get the cures they needed, she wanted to be able to do things the right way. She had been ruthless to an extent her whole existence. For this one point in her life she wanted to change that.
"So you're thinking about asking the packs for the venom?" Hayley asked wanting to make sure she was in the loop as much as she could.
"Thinking is one thing." Elizabeth said as she looked down at the glass in her hand. "Its another to actually be sure this is what is needed to be done and actually doing it."
Hayley sighed and walked over towards Elizabeth and took a seat next to her. "If it was me," She said looking over at her. "I would be out there begging and pleading for the other packs to help me. And if that didn't work, I'd be taking what I needed."
That had caused Elizabeth to look over at Hayley surprised. "You'd take from your people?"
"I'd do anything to get them back." She said softly with a nod. "I've done things I'm not proud of but when it comes to all of them, I'd even turn my back on you if needed."
"Good to know." She said with a small smirk that caused Hayley to smile.
"I'd say we just found out the 'what you'll be doing' for that year." Hayley said with a nod.
"All that's left to do is figure out the when." Elizabeth said before she finished off her drink. "There are two visions I have yet to see. But if this is the plan, I'm sure I'll see them soon."
"What's left to see?" Hayley asked curiously. Elizabeth mentioned from time to time what part of the visions she had relived when they happened. She had remembered Elizabeth telling her pieces of the visions she had seen from Jess and it seemed the number of them had dwindled down with each passing week.
"I spend an evening with Freya and Rebekah keeping me from seeing something in there. All I know is when I do see it, it brings a smile to my face. And then after that I say my goodbyes for a year." Elizabeth didn't want to give to many details as to what she had seen. While there was a possibility that it would make things happen faster, Elizabeth didn't want things to be done and it not be the right time for them.
"I say give it another five months." Hayley said with a nod. "If there is no new sense of Deja vu by then, go out from there, don't wait for the visions."
Elizabeth nodded taking in her words. "I'll start getting things ready for my leave in five months." It was a solid plan. If the visions didn't come by then, she was going to make her own future, damn the visions that she had been shown.
