Naomi's cheeks turned red as the room looked at her. She seriously didn't like being the center of attention for any reason. She was thrilled when everyone went back to what they were doing. Takuma grabbed the back of the chair motioning the others to follow and wheeled her into a room. Takuma moved in front of the chair saying, "I have some questions for you, Naomi. The first is do you love Kaname Kuran?"
Naomi replied, "I do, I don't understand Takuma what is this about?" Takuma held up a finger asking, "If you could protect Kaname would you?"
Naomi looked at Takuma oddly saying, "Of course I would I'd do whatever I could to help him. Takuma seriously what is this all about?"
Takuma ignored the question again frustrating Naomi now asking, "If you couldn't be with Kaname who would you choose?"
Naomi looked at him oddly saying, "No one Takuma, I don't see my feelings for him changing anytime soon. Now would you mind telling me what you are up to?"
Takuma smiled replying, "Nothing thanks for your time." He pushed her back out to Doc and left the ball. Naomi was highly confused looking up at Doc saying, "Would you mind telling me what that was all about?"
Doc just grinned replying, "They are working on a surprise for you that is all I know." He started taking her back to the Sun dorm he felt she had enough excitement for one day. He had just about reached the fountain Naomi whispered, "Doc" he leaned forward to hear her better as soon as he was close to her she asked, "Is someone supposed to be following us?"
Doc was confused a moment until he heard a twig snap he instantly knew someone was indeed following them. Naomi said, "What do you think we should do?"
Doc wondered how she had heard anything before he did but he wasn't going to question it he just picked up the pace to the Sun Dorm and hoped they would think twice about doing anything. Toga Yagari comes out saying, "I am Toga would you two happen to know where Zero or Headmaster Cross is?"
Naomi replied, "Headmaster Cross is at the ball, and last I heard Zero was in the Moon Dorm chasing after Yuki Cross." He nodded saying, "Thanks a lot for the help oh, and I hope I didn't scare you two. I seriously prefer walking in the woods over on a path."
They watched him leave as they continued on their way to the Sun Dorm. They made it to her room without further incident, tonight, however, was different from any other night he sat in her chair armed ready to take on anyone who tried to enter the room. Tonight he guarded her with his life if need be he would feel better once she was in the safe house.
~ Moon Dorm ~
Yuki had found Shizuka Hio and was ready to give herself to her when Zero came into the room asking, "What are you doing?"
It was only then that Shizuka lets it slip that she was planning on draining Yuki dry, and tried to get Zero to help her. Zero instead fought to break the control Shizuka had over him and worked hard to save Yuki from her. Shizuka had left with her life but without taking Yuki's blood as Zero had done a good job of protecting her. Shizuka had made her way to another room in the Moon dorm when Kaname joined her she looked at him saying, "You know I tried to get Yuki to kill you."
Kaname replied, "You know she is one of the very few people I wouldn't expect to betray me. Too bad you miscalculated, and she didn't do anything to me. It seems a friend of hers told her to think twice before acting, and she listened to the advice."
Shizuka attacked him, and as they fought, she said, "There was one player I could never figure out. Her name is Naomi, and she is very smart always outmaneuvering me even when I had her in my room."
Kaname's eyes widened in shock he had no idea that the person who had found her was Shizuka. He glared at her once he recovered from the shock. Shizuka pouted saying, "So it seems I assessed wrong I should have kept the girl to use against you."
No sooner had the words passed her lips that Kaname thrust his hand through her chest grabbing her heart in his hand. Kaname paused a moment saying, "That would have been a brilliant move only one issue with that Naomi would have died protecting me."
Shizuka felt him pull his arm out and collapsed onto the ground saying, "So you come to rescue Yuki who only cares for Zero, and you ignore Naomi who would die protecting you. Is this because she's human if it is you need to get your priorities straight Kaname. I loved once, and then someone had him killed, and since then I have messed in other people's lives to make the list, and be killed so I could finally join him."
She watched as Kaname left he knew she would die heck she knew she was going to die. Ichiru came into the room and held her had saddened by her impending death wanting to know why she had never drank from him. She, of course, didn't answer him as she had tried explaining to him several times why she hadn't.
Zero came into the room just as Ichiru had finished draining her body of its blood. He smirked at Zero knowing that he was in a state of blood lust on the verge of transforming to a level E, and now there was no cure for Zero he had taken it all. Toga and Headmaster Cross took Zero to an underground chamber to keep him from harming anyone while he was so close to transforming into a level E.
