"I need a drink", Beca announced; as she came through the door of Michael and Aubrey's house an hour and a half later. "Never got my frickin' drink, interrupting bastard… where are my kids?"

"They're asleep", Aubrey said gently, coming out to greet them. "They're all asleep; they're in the spare room".

"All of them?"

Aubrey nodded, and Michael went straight towards the fridge.

"He wanted to see the girls, Aubrey", Beca said, putting her head on the counter, as Michael passed Jesse a beer. "No, I need something stronger than that, Michael. Vodka. Just give me the bottle, actually".

"Beca", Michael said warningly, and she sighed heavily.

"I can't believe the nerve of him-"

"I can't believe Jesse punched him", Michael almost giggled. "Seriously, Becs, I've wanted to do that since the day you brought that douche home. I was just pissed that I didn't get to do it".

"What did the cops say?"

"Oh, I'm taking him to court", Beca said. "I've got sole custardy of those kids. He hasn't bothered to come and see them in four year, Aubrey; he hasn't paid them the slightest bit of attention. He signed the house over to me, fair enough. The fact that he's their father doesn't mean jack right now".

"But he's not their father", Michael objected. "God, I mean I've raised them more than he has!"

"He's their goddamn sperm donor", Beca growled. "I don't care; I'll take him to court. I'll fight; he's not taking my kids from me. I'm not going to let him".

"No, we aren't gonna let him", Aubrey agreed.

"Oh my God… Aubrey, please tell me you didn't tell Chloe".

"Um…"

"Aubrey!"

"What? She would have found out anyway!"

"If she comes around here, you can deal with her", Beca warned.

"The fucking nerve!" Chloe squawked, as Aubrey and Beca climbed into Fat Amy's van (because what was a Bellas shopping trip without their bus?). "I cannot believe he turned up! I didn't even know he was in the country!"

"The last time I spoke to him he was going back to England. Hope his mother gave him hell about never being able to see his grandchildren. Jesse punched him in the face".

A unanimous cheer rang through the van, and Beca laughed.

"Thanks guys, I needed that. I mean, first of all my ex from hell turned up and now we're spending the entire day shopping… for a dress".

"Your wedding dress, Beca!"

"Have you two decided on a honeymoon destination?" Stacie questioned, leaning closer to the smaller brunette.

"No, we weren't going to do a honeymoon".

"Bullshit!" Aubrey turned around in the passenger seat.

"And you say I'm bad at keeping secrets", Chloe sang under her breath.

"Didn't you hear? We're dividing the kids up between us-"

"What? No!"

"And you're going on a proper holiday".

"What? No! look, Jesse and I have spoken about this and we decided that we'd rather take a trip as a family- Jesse thought Disney, for the kids' benefit- than go on a honeymoon. And you can't divide my kids up! There might be six of them, but you can't do that!"

"Haven't you heard? You're going to Hawaii and the kids are spending three days at Aubrey and Michael's, three days at mine and Tom's and a night at Stacie's".

"And I'm staying there too", Fat Amy said with a grin. "This is gonna be the best week ever!"

"And how are you planning on pulling this off?" Beca demanded. "We're saving for this holiday- we're paying off a freaking house AND a car and we have six kids!"

"Let's just put it this way, you're not getting a wedding present from anyone".

While the girls' chattered excitedly about the day's events, Beca frantically phoned Jesse.

"Did you hear?" Jesse said brightly, not even bothering with a greeting. "Apparently we're going to Hawaii!"

"Did you hear? They've honest to God lost their minds".

"Have a good day Becs", Jesse laughed, and she heard the cheers of excitement from their children.

(Apparently they were going to the pool, and Benji and Donald had promised to take them on the waterslides.)

"No, no more", Beca said tiredly, as she came out of the dressing room for an eleventh time in the sixth shop. "I'm tired, I'm hungry, my feet hurt and I'm over shopping! Seriously, Jesse's the one who wants the big wedding. If I had my way we'd be going down to the courthouse in jeans and sweats!"

"You are not getting married in sweats", Chloe gasped, clutching her heart like Beca had actually offended her.

(But then again, that was the woman who was proposed to in the middle of the street in the pouring rain. Unless it came from a Nicholas Sparks book or a Kate Hudson rom com, Chloe wasn't having it.)

"Look, just one more", Chloe reasoned. "Stacie found it, Lily likes it. Try it on and then we'll go and get lunch.

"My God, it's like shopping with a child", Aubrey said under her breath. "Seriously, her kids when they're hungry are easier to shop with".

"I heard that Posen", Beca grouched, taking the dress and turning on her heels.

"Twelfth time lucky", Cynthia Rose said hopefully, as Beca slammed the curtains behind her.

"God she's impossible".

"Aubrey be nice", Chloe scolded.

"Oh my God", Aubrey breathed, as Beca emerged from the dressing room. "Wow".

"That's it", Fat Amy declared. "that one, Becs".

"oh my God". Stacie beamed from ear to ear, and tears glistened in Chloe's eyes.

"That's our dress, Beca", Chloe said, swallowing her emotions. "That's the one. Look".

Beca turned to face the mirror and she found herself breaking into a smile.

"Jesse's gonna lose it!" Stacie said gleefully. "Seriously, if I were marrying you-"

"Please stop-"

"- I'd have you out of that before you were even up the aisle".

"Thanks, Stace". Beca grinned at her.

"You look beautiful, Beca", Cynthia Rose told her sincerely.

"Thank you", Beca blushed, turning around to see the dress from all angles. "What do you think?"

"That's the one", Lily voiced. "That's the one".

"You're taking Luke to court?" Fat Amy said conversationally, munching on a French fry.

"The cops got him for driving under the influence and the fact that he came onto our property- Jesse's punch was self-defence", Beca explained. "He would have gotten in more trouble if the kids were there- I've got full custardy and we separated four year ago. The fact that they were with Aubrey saved his ass".

"Damn it Aubrey", Fat Amy chuckled playfully, and Aubrey glared at her. "But seriously-"

"Seriously, we'll never see Luke again". Beca grinned.

"But Beca", Cynthia Rose said carefully, "What about the kids?"

"I don't care if they want to know their father- well, I do, obviously, but he's not the one raising them. That's Jesse and I know Rosie still wonders why Luke left- because he's a dickhead who cheats, FYI-"

"We were there, we know how the story ends", Aubrey interrupted.

"Shut the hell up Aubrey- I'm not going to stop her. But I think Rosie understands where Jesse and I are coming from".

"She's a good kid, Becs", Stacie said sincerely. "She's smart. She's only eight, but she gets it. She knows Luke made the mistake, and she knows that he's the one missing out".

"Yeah, who'd wanna leave those kids?" Fat Amy agreed. "I don't!"

"On that note, Courtney and Brody are trying to get an aquarium, it's their latest thing", Beca said warningly. "I heard them after their baths that they were going to ask you and Stacie, the answer is no. We aren't getting an aquarium".

Stacie and Fat Amy exchanged glances and Chloe laughed.

"You'll have an aquarium by the end of the week", she predicted.

"Mummy!" Natalie came running towards Fat Amy's van, and Beca climbed out just in time to catch her in a hug.

"Hey kiddo, did you have a good day?"

"Yeah! 'Cept Ben pushed me under and it hurt my nose".

"Really?"

"Yeah, so I punched his arm and made him scream".

'That's my girl", Fat Amy complimented her, and Beca frowned.

"Stop influencing my kid".

"Guess what Natty?" Chloe said brightly, and Natalie grinned.

"What?"

"Mummy got her dress today".

"Really? Is it pretty? Can I see it? When am I gonna get my dress?"

"When we go and get their dresses". Beca motioned to the girls, and Stacie nodded.

"Don't worry baby, we haven't forgotten about you".

"Does Jesse have a suit?"

"Not yet".

"Does Benji?"

Beca's voice trailed off. "I hope not".

"Beca!" and Chloe smacked Beca's arm. "Be nice!"

"Do I have to wear a suit?" Brody screwed up his nose and Beca laughed.

"Yes, Brody, you do", Jesse said with a sigh. "This is not the first time we've gone through this".

"Uncle Benji wouldn't make me", he grumbled slightly.

"Uncle Benji's wearing a suit buddy, he's not gonna be on your side for this one! Uncle Benji loves to dress up!"

"Benji is not dressing up, per say".

"Please do not start abusing the term per say".
