Chapter 35
Sorry I haven't updated in a little bit.
Max POV
It had been 3 months ever since Mom went into the hospital. It turns out Fang's brother was put into rehab, to recover from any drugs or alcohol. School was over next week and it made me sad because senior year was next, all the drama inside of senior year. Prom, graduation, both of those scream dresses! Plus, I have to decide where I want to apply to college, then where does Fang fit into all of this. The worst part about all of this is, Mom still hasn't woken up. The doctors say that they have to "Let her move on," were their exact words. They were saying, she has to die soon. I was scared, what would happen to me? I know I will be eighteen this year, but I am scared because up till then, where would I go, where would Ella go after that?
I just kept thinking through all of this, here I sat, thinking. "Max?" I looked up to stare at my math teacher. "Yes?" I asked startled and embarrassed by not hearing the question. "Did you hear the homework for tonight?" I shook my head looking down and glancing out the window beside me. "Please see me after class, please?" I nodded looking out the window once again right when the bell rang. I got up and walked up to the desk catching a glance from Fang. "What did you need, Ms. Saddling?" I asked her looking into her eyes. "Are you okay? I know what happened with your mother..." I nodded saying that I did feel fine. "Well if you need anything, talk to me any time you need. I know you haven't been doing your homework, so tonight don't worry about it." I nodded walking out the door where Fang was waiting. I was so upset! I am tired of this charity work!
"Babe?" Fang tried to grab my arm but I shook it off and walked away. Tears began to run down my face from all the charity I was getting. Apparently in Language Arts the teacher gave us a bunch of homework, I got none! I had no homework for the past 3 months and when I did, I didn't do it because I was in the hospital, so that must be why. "Come on, Babe?" He grabbed my wrist again spinning me around and leaning his forehead against mine. I closed my eyes taking in a deep breath. "What's wrong? You don't have homework again, right?" He asked me as I nodded. He kissed my nose rubbing up and down my sides. "Can you please take me home?" I asked quietly hugging Fang and bringing my had against his nodded against my head and moving me towards the door.
"Home or..." Fang trailed off knowing I didn't want to hear the word hospital. "Home." I whispered getting into the car. Fang nodded driving to my house. We got there shortly. "Babe? Are you going to the last day of school field trip tomorrow?" Fang asked me. Wait the last day was tomorrow. I guess I was really behind in school then I thought I was. I shook my head after I was quiet for a while. Fang nodded, "Then I won't go either." Fang said getting out and walking over to my side of the car to let me out. We walk into my house, I walked over to the phone and clicked the message button. "I am aware of you being at school at this time but I am glad to inform that your mother has awaken.
"I think you should come immediately after school, Thank you, Max and please come soon." Beeeeeeeeepppppppppp I smiled brightly at Fang and hopped towards him landing with my legs around him. "She woke up! She woke up!" I smiled down at Fang because I was resting on him. His hands rested on my butt to hold me up because we were still standing. We kissed passionately as we walked towards the wall resting me against it. I was stopped when I heard another beep come from the answering machine. "We are sorry to inform that even with the guards around the house, Sam may get to you. He has escaped, We will send more but, there still may be chance. I am sorry to inform, that you aren't a loud to leave. Sorry, Maximum." The answering machine beeped once again. I looked in horror at Fang, afraid and sad. Mom just woke up and now I can't even see her! This sucks!
"Babe? You okay?" Fang asked me quietly to see if I was gong to explode. "I nodded looking out the window as I saw an ambulance pull up. A confused expression covered my face as I looked around. Fang raised an eyebrow at me right when the door opened to see my mother, awake in the door way along with all my friends. "If anything happens, we will be here." Angel said jumping into my arms and kissing my cheek. "We all got a call." Iggy explained to me. Guards piled in, too many to count. Then in came Omega's dad. "Maximum, we are here to protect you, from here out!" He paused dramatically and looked around at all of us smiling in a sickly way. "This is war!" He smiled once again and Fang and I shared a look in complete horror. "And I intend to win!"
Hours passed by as we all sat in the living room awaiting what would happen. Guards surrounded us to protect us in the living room. We had food, blankets, everything we needed to keep us alive, I was scared and worried. Angel sat on my lap as I sat on Fang's. Mom sat next to me holding my hand, "It will all be okay." Mom said to Ella and I like a Mom should do. I love all of them, they might all die, just because of me...I knew that, the second the window broke open.
