Chapter 33: Request ~Study Group~

It was the day before the exams. I wasn't really my style to study for it. As long as I remembered what the teacher discussed in class, I would be fine. As to my performance, I was confident enough to get a perfect score. At least that's what I thought. I was on my way home from school (ditching the VMC meeting) when Lala called for me just outside the school gates.

"Yume! Over here!" she shouted.

I approached them and asked why they suddenly called.

"Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Actually... It's about Rito." she said.

"What about him?"

"Well... you see..." she held her hands tight as if she was asking for a favor, "Can I ask you to study with Momo and Nana for me?"

I was shocked. She knew that her sisters were smart girls, so why would she want me to study with them?

"I'd like to teach them myself, but Rito and I are going to Haruna's house to study. Can I trust you on this?" She asked.

What choice did I have? They were seniors already. They had to do their best or else they won't graduate. But that didn't explain why I had to study with the twins.

"Can't they teach themselves?"

"Well..." she reacted, "They don't really come into terms with each other. They would always fight and compete..."

"Ah, I see..."

It would be normal for siblings to compete, so I didn't know why she had to worry so much. They could handle themselves. But for Lala's sake, I accepted the request. Also, by doing it, I would also be doing VMC a favor. So it's a win-win situation.

"I'll do it! You can count on me!"

"Great!" she responded, "I gotta go now. Rito and the others are waiting for me. Bye!"

she waved goodbye and left. Then as I was about to take a step forward, Mea grabbed me from behind and gave me a big hug.

"Yume-san~!" she said while hugging me tight.

"M-Mea?! I told you! Not in public!"

"Don't worry!" she replied, "It won't get any deeper than this!"

"D-don't say it like that! People might get the wrong idea!"

And they did. The students around campus heard what Mea said (she literally shouted it) and looked at me with jealous eyes.

"They're doing it again..."

"Do they really need to do that in public?"

"I wish I had a girlfriend just like her..."

I had to stop the misunderstanding. I couldn't risk being the laughing stock of of school, so I ran away and left together with Mea. I told her that I was going to Rito's house didn't tell her that I was going there to study with the twins. On the way there, I saw a familiar face: It was Yami-senpai eating taiyaki.

Mea called out to her: "Yami-onee-chaaaaan!"

Yami-senpai turned around and noticed us. Then she turned to the other side and ignored us.

Then Mea called out to her again, but ignored her once more.

"Can't you say a simple 'hello' or 'Hi there'?"

She turned around and greeted us, "Hello."

Then turned around and ignored us again. She had issues. There was awkward silence. We didn't know what else to do, what else to say, so I just continued walking.

Then Mea suddenly blurted out, "We're going to Mikan's place! Wanna come with us?"

I immediately shut her up, but that didn't help much because Yami-senpai had already agreed.

"Alright! Let's go!" Mea shouted.

And so, we arrived at the Yuuki residence together. How did it get to that? Anyway, We knocked on the door and we were welcomed by Mikan.

"Oh Yume, You're here with Mea and Yami!" she said in excitement.

"Yeah, they just sorta tagged along..."

She didn't pay attention to what I said, instead she put all of her attention on Yami-senpai.

"Yami! I'm so happy to see you!" She said to her, "I got a lot to tell you!"

Then the two of them ran off to the living room, leaving Mea and me at the front door. I asked Mikan where the twins were just before they left, but she didn't answer. So we had to find them ourselves. Strangely, we found them in Rito's room, studying Biology. They were well-behaved, they weren't fighting or anything. I thought M wasn't needed anymore, but suddenly...

Hey guys! So I haven't updated in a while, the reason being I was sick for the past week. Anyway, This chapter is an intro for the looooong chapter ahead. There'll be a bit of slice-of-life (and flashbacks), but there'll also be fanservice. Look forward to it!
