Sorry it's been awhile but I've been busy, this will be the final chapter on Tartaros, the battles will be skipped by the most part except for ones vital to progression. To be honest I wasn't a fan of the Tartaros arc overall.
I won't lie, the delay came from me not liking this chapter, I was going to start again but I was like fuck it I'll make it up in the next chapter (If I decide to continue that is)

Chapter 36: I am Sasuke Uchiha
Love and Regrets
The world as it was 400 years ago, a world at war, and a world on fire. Humanity was no longer the apex of life. That honour belonged to the Dragons, namely Acnologia the Dragon King. A hooded Sasuke Uchiha awoke to find himself in a forest, the forest that would one day become Magnolia, "Somehow I ended up travelling back 400 years with the Dragons...This world is filled with magic...but also there are people with Chakra signatures...if weak" he thinks seeing a massive green Dragon covered in spikes flying towards him, this monster was chasing a little girl while laughing.
"A snot nosed sack of meat won't even count as a small bite but I will enjoy devouring none the less" the Dragon Taunts.
"Rinnegan Genjutsu!" the little girl manages to halt as the huge Dragon falls to the earth causing a tremor and destroying many trees in the process. "Are you OK?" she turns to see the Cloaked Uchiha staring at her.
"W-What did you do to it?" she asks seeing the Dragon's now lifeless Body, her guard was up for whatever good is could to a guy who could take down a Dragon without breaking a sweat.
"I placed an illusion Spell on him...one that killed him upon landing" Sasuke says looking to the corpse of the Dragon "Do you live nearby?" he asks and she nods.
"Follow me, the elder has foreseen your arrival" she says in response, her tone seemed emotionless and plain, peculiar for someone being chased by a Dragon. The girl also ran pretty fast for someone with no Magic or Chakra to speak of, as the approach the ruins of an ancient village Sasuke feels a nostalgic aura flow through him, as if the ghosts of the ruins are calling out to him. The feeling fades as they approach newer looking buildings, inside an elder sits surrounded by guards with spears.
"Welcome traveller" he says extending his hands welcoming the young Uchiha into his tent "I am Uchiha, the elder of this camp" he says seeing Sasuke become somewhat unnerved at the reveal of his name.
"Uchiha is the name of my Clan, I am Sasuke Uchiha" Sasuke says and the man seems to nod absentmindedly, "Where did you hear that name?" he asks and the older man going by the name Uchiha stands up inviting him to follow.
"The Elder before me too the name Uchiha because he read an ancient text beneath the ruins of this town, however the only words he made out where "Fire" and "Uchiha" he says "He figured Uchiha was a powerful figure in the Fire lands" he explains and Sasuke nods understanding, in fact the more they explored, the more familiar these ruins were.
"This...is Konoha"
The Battles
The final battles had been drawn out, while the majority of the guilds would work to destroy the many Face Statues, the main members of Fairy Tail along with Naruto had begun fighting the leaders of Tartarus.
"So it was you... dad" Gray says "I can't believe my old man did something so evil" he says raising his fists in preparation for the battle "Why?" he asks darkly as the cold chill of his maker magic gives off a mist.
Silver begins in a slow laugh which erupts into a fit of laughter "So naive, Gray I simply inhabit this body" he grins with as much evil as he could muster in order to keep the charade "My name is Deliora! Have you forgotten me Gray!?"
"No! That's not possible, I saw you die, Master Ur drained you of all your power a long time ago" Gray yells as Sliver smirks seeing his son bye into it.
"We Demons don't die, we are reborn in this very building" Silver begins "When Ur trapped me in her spell my spirit found its way into this corpse, and Tartaros gave me a new power to deal with all remnants of Ur" he says as Gray forms a massive sword swinging down on the image of his father with all his might. However Silver catches the blade and devours it.
"You're a Dragon Slayer!?" Gray yells/asks with wide eyes as a dark aura surrounds Silver who grins...
"No, I slay neither Dragons nor Gods" he says "I hunt Devils" he says inhaling deeply "Ice Devil's Rage!" he exhales a powerful purple Blizzard like blast from his mouth, the blast engulfs Gray sending him into the air and flying back into the structure. "Give it up Gray, there is no way an Ice mage can defeat me, it's why I chose this power. I will hunt down those who descend from Ur, those who learned her filthy Magic, and anyone who even knows she exists" he says as Gray sees a shadow of Deliora in his monsters from towering over him, glowing red eyes, and sharp fangs.
The battle is momentarily interrupted as a massive black sword cuts through the entire cube sending the whole place tumbling to the ground below, this attack gave Gray time to regroup. "No...No I don't care about the odds, I owe it to Ur to bring you down" Gray declares before taking a deep breath and staring his opponent down "One way or the other, this ends with your defeat"
_Natsu VS Mard Geer_
"I had no idea a Human could pull such anger from me" Mard Geer admits with an enraged look on his face, the blood lust was oozing from him.
"This guy is insane" Natsu thinks, while he hadn't resorted to using his full power yet, he has thrown some powerfulattacks at the Demon. "So what are you, you call yourself the King yet E.S.U is the leader of this Guild right?" he asks
"He is a Vessel, a means to an end, our leader is E.N.D" Geer declares "You will not prevent his return" he says transforming into his Etherious form; it was a humanoid looking demon with Bat-like wings. "I will crush you in an instant!"
Red Scales from on Natsu's arms and face as a massive force of power surrounds him "I will make you pay for everything your guild has done" he declares
Suddenly a massive black sword cuts through the entire cube sending the whole place tumbling to the ground below, each of the competitors took a fighting stance opposite one another
Erza VS Kyoka and Seilah
Erza left before the man finished telling his story, a shadow in the shape of Sasuke caught her attention and she chased to discover who it was, only to be led into a trap.
"She is as strong as legends say" Seilah's tone held a slight mocking feel to it "But foolish if you think you can beat us by yourself" she adds calmly
"I will break your mind and body, nothing but a husk will remain" Kyoka declares, she had infused herself with FACE so the time it would take to activate it would be lessened. The two demons charge at Erza who uses Sasuke's Snake Sword to deflect them back.
"I won't forgive you using Sasuke as a tool" Erza says as her grip on the hilt tightens, she slashes the sword causing fire balls in the shape of Dragon heads to shoot towards her opponents, the attack was a match for Katon: Gōryūka no Jutsu. The demons dodge but the attention is pulled towards the Cube above their heads as it suddenly begins to crumble.
"The Cube!" Kyoka says with a shocked look "It was build to withstand a hundred Etherion blasts" she claims but Erza chuckles.
"A hundred Etherion blasts is nothing compared to Naruto's power, E.S.U miscalculated if he thinks he can win" she smirks pointing her blade at the duo in front of her "But their battle is the least of your worries" she declares as the Demons transform into the strongest forms
"We will kill all you worthless humans!" Kyoka rages
"I'm technically HALF human" a new voice says, Erza spins around to see Mirajane standing completely healed "I'll explain later" she says transforming herself "I owe it to our Guilds to fight now" her eyes filled with determination.
"Then let's do this" Erza smirks with her own eyes filled with fire
The Past
A few months had passed since he woke up after the great battle in the capital, in that year he had learned that the Stone tablet in the Uchiha shrine had new words written on it "Fire will claim all Chakra and give birth to a new power". Buried under the old translation someone had foretold the end of Chakra and the birth of Magic, a new Sage of the six paths? Or someone manipulating the world like Black Zetsu once did. Not too long after he had left, the people who made the ruins of Konoha their home where all killed while he was away, not by flames from Dragons but what appeared to have been a spell.
"I don't know how I will do it, but I will get back to the present" he thinks looking around for any signs of documents, somewhere to start.
"It's been a long time coming, Sasuke Uchiha" he turns to see Zeref standing in the doorway, "A man out of time" he adds.
"So you killed the villagers" Sasuke turns to face the dark wizard "Why? What could you gain from killing them?" he asks.
"Human's in this period are still evolving, it will be years before Wizards are old enough to stand on their own, so their DNA is perfect for creating my demons" he says without emotion "Your cells contain the highest amounts of Chakra in this time...if you wanted it, all you could destroy all the Dragons and bring about peace...you may even be able to kill me" he says with a smile "But you don't"
"I can't, if I were to alter the time flow...who knows how the world might change" Sasuke says "Wizards may never evolve as they are in the future, I could start the rebirth of humans born with Chakra or I might eradicate all form of mystical power" Sasuke explains "We are all simply following the path of destiny, I couldn't save this world any more than you could destroy it...we both need this world to continue down its path"
"Very dark of you, to condemn many to a horrible death" Zeref states, Sasuke could tell he was trying to bate him but he was going to be disappointed.
"These people are long dead in my eyes, at rest and long forgotten" Sasuke begins "My place is in the future, and that is where I will go" he says and Zeref laughs lightly.
"True, you are an anomaly, if Naruto Uzumaki had been sent back instead of you" Zeref begins but Sasuke cuts him off.
"Then he would spend all his time protecting people, he would try and rebuild Konoha like it was long ago" Sasuke says "That's because he is a hero, someone who inspires hope and makes people believe...something I will never be" he looks away "Even if your world and mine are one in the same, nothing but ghosts live here now, and Naruto would die alone here" he faces the man before him "You know what I want" he says preparing to attack.
"Head north, you will find all you seek in the Final Valley" he says before vanishing
"The...Valley of the End?"
Naruto
E.S.U had proven to be as challenging as Sasuke himself, he had already mastered the Rinnegan, but his magic was even deadlier, "You destroyed my castle, that wasn't very nice" E.S.U smirks as he is surrounded by a black aura.
"I'm surprised you aren't in two as well" Naruto says as the two float about the wreckage, "What kind of Magic do you wield, I know this power isn't the Rinnegan" he states and E.S.U grins.
"Doppelganger" E.S.U states as he begins to explain his power "That is my curse, I can copy any ability I see" he clenches his fist "And thanks to the Chakra infused in my body, my curse isn't limited to spells" he smirks as his eyes glow for a second and Truth Seeker Orbs appear behind him.
"You may be able to copy my abilities, but you can't beat me with them" Naruto retorts watching as E.S.U makes the Orbs gel together and glares.
"You only see this as black and white, winners and losers" E.S.U begins "But my goal is grey, it doesn't matter if I beat you or not, as long as FACE activates I win" he grins.
"It won't" Naruto declares as E.S.U cuts through the ground with ease as he slices up causing Naruto to dodge, "He created a massive scythe with his Truth Seeker Orbs" Naruto says forming the Sword of Nunoboko and their mighty weapons clash "My comrades will stop FACE, I will destroy the books of Zeref and eradicate his evil from the world, even if it takes my whole life!" the blonde declares.
"Then it seems I have no time to waste as he is clad in a black Susanoo mirroring Sasuke's only more malicious. "Once I've dealt with you I will hunt down your comrades and kill them myself" he grins as Naruto summons Kurama in his Avatar mode
"It won't be as easy as you think" Naruto growls in anger as the two gigantic forms collide with their fists sending a humongous Shockwave felt by all those nearby.
_Erza and Mirajane_
Their battle with the demons was tough going, however their power ups from Sasuke and Naruto they overcame the demons. "What now?" Mira asks and Erza looks around, she had expected to see Sasuke on the battle field, however he has been surprisingly silent.
"Now we look for a way to stop FACE" Erza says reverting to her default armour, "Then we free Sasuke" she adds and Mira steps forward about to speak however the weak chuckle from Kyoka silenced her for the moment.
"I-It's too late, Face isn't something that will stop by defeating me alone" she gets to her knees "You have to kill me" she says seeing their eyes widen "Do you have it in you to bring a life to an end?" she asks and Erza summons a sword.
"You don't value the lives of others...so you don't deserve to live" she raises her sword preparing to deliver the killing blow, her nerves where shaking so bad it took everything she had to resist the shudder creeping up her spine, she knew Sasuke had killed before and to him it wasn't a big deal...but she wasn't the same as him in that regard. Her horrible past is the reason she values life, while Sasukes causes him to blind himself to value it out of fear he will go through that pain again and thus makes killing for him...easy.
Her eyes widen as a light blue light pierces Kyoka through her back and cuts the sword she was holding in half, "Erza, you are too soft to do what is necessary...but I suppose if you were any different" her eyes lock onto Edo-Sasuke "Then you wouldn't be my Erza" he smirks as the Power of FACE is absorbed into him "You weren't enough to hold the switch" he turns his gaze to Kyoka as Erza and Mirajane collapse to the ground under a Genjutsu
"How are you talking...E.S.U suppressed your personality" she gasps as blood trickles from her mouth, vision blurring.
"Edo Tensei is a powerful Ninjutsu, however it has a severe risk" he kneels so Kyoka could see his eyes "If the Shinobi who is resurrected using this technique knows the Hand Signs then he can negate to contract and is no longer bound to the caster" he stands up "Resulting in an immortal being with unlimited power and Chakra" he says as she falls to the ground dead.
"No one can stop FACE now" Sasuke finishes walking away to fulfil the next part in his plan
_Gray VS Silver_
The battle was hard fought, Silver was immune to Gray's attacks as a Slayer he could simply devour the attack and get stronger. However Gray learned what truly made Devil Slayer Magic unique, unlike other types of Slayers Devil Slayers can devour their own magic as well. However with some clever ingenuity Gray managed to fatally wound Silver with a cannon ball and thus immobilising him "You really are my old man aren't you?" Gray asks, his tone showing his emotions were on the brink.
"Yeah...a long time ago it seems Keyes reanimated me" Silver says "I'm already dead Gray, my body moves because of Keyes Necromancy Curse" he explains.
"Necromancy?" Gray questions "Like as in Edo Tensei like Sasuke?"
"No...Nothing like that, that power is on a far grander scale than what Keyes can accomplish" Silver responds, however it is similar in ways as it requires the person you want to summon back to be dead" he states seeing Gray's saddened face "I saw you...at the games you fought well" he says and Gray shakes his head.
"No I relied on everyone and sat back...I've been doing that for far too long now" Gray admits "I need to get stronger in order to truly fight by their side" he declares and Silver smiles.
"Then...perhaps I can help you with that" he says raising his hand and a purple aura surrounds him at first but soon is transferred to Gray as he felt his Magical power increase. "I have transferred my Curse to you Gray, now you are an Ice Devil Slayer" his eyes close feeling his conscious fade
"Old man...Dad" Gray calls out seeing the body fade
"Keyes has been killed so his Curse disappeared with him" Gray turns to see Sasuke approach him "But it seems he took full advantage of Hashirama's Cells that I implanted in you"
"What are you" he is cut off as Sasuke activates his Sharingan causing him to lose consciousness, and subsequently falling to the ground "The only battle's left are Naruto's and Natsu's" he thinks looking at the count down on his forearm seeing time was just about up.
The Past
A Year into his time in the past and Sasuke had discovered the location of Zeref's lab, the pods inside contained members of the villagers Zeref had killed. However their bodies had been altered and now contained a kind of Magical power.
"Curse" Sasuke hears Zeref say behind him "A darker form of what you call Chakra" he begins "Hopefully these along with the Anti Magic pillars I created will be enough to kill me" he says walking up beside the Uchiha before heading to the Pod on its own "And this pod holds the person I know can kill me" he says looking at the person in the pod with affection.
Sasukes eyes widen upon seeing who lay dormant in the pod "Impossible...That's!"
_Naruto VS E.S.U_
"This guy is every bit as strong as Madara...if he gets any stronger I won't stand a chance" Naruto thinks, since the battle started E.S.U has gradually transformed into a being similar to the Sage of Six Paths.
"Tell me Naruto, do you truly care for this world? Wouldn't you rather return to your own time?" he asks seeing Naruto look away "These people are weak and unworthy of your devotion...you sacrificed so much to earn the admiration of your Konoha Shinobi comrades" he says with a hint of Irony building "Now here you are doing it all over again, what do you really want Naruto Uzumaki..."
"There are plenty of things I want" Naruto says calmly "I want to start a family with the woman I want to marry, I wanted my best friend to live a long and happy life, and I want people like you to stop threatening the world" he smirks at the last part "But Life isn't about wanting something, it's about achieving something!" he declares "So I will marry the woman I love, and I will start a family with her" he vanishes appearing in front of E.S.U punching him in the stomach "And Sasuke will live again"
"Ack!" E.S.U coughs out as he is send flying into a tree "Perhaps it's time I called for backup" he grins however both he and Naruto are soon enveloped by a black liquid which begins draining their Chakra
"Black Zetsu!?" Naruto questions unable to feel any thought in the substance
"No, this is simply the same power he once had" they both See Sasuke approach, soon the black liquid flows towards him and he forms the Ram and Snake hand signs which E.S.U copies "You thought you could control me...however someone who knows the Hand Signs for the Edo Tensei can negate the contract" he smirks seeing Naruto stand.
"So all this...all this Sasuke, was you using Tartaros to have yourself Reincarnated by a clone of yourself...you've gone too far!" Naruto growls
"Do you not have any faith in me?" he asks "Nothing happened to Magnolia, it was a Genjutsu" Sasuke explains and both their eyes widen "So far the only casualties have been members of Tartaros...even Mirajane is up on her feet" he says and Naruto falls back at the mention of his Fiancées name.
"S-She's OK?"
"Aa...she's as strong as I remember"
Naruto could feel his eyes swelling up with tears; he was at a loss for words...however Sasuke had plenty more to say.
"Manipulating Tartaros wasn't the only thing I did however" Sasuke begins "You see I didn't die at the end of the Games in the capital...the Eclipse Gate and my Rinnegan are or were connected just like the Celestial Keys so when the door was created I returned to the timeline where I first activatedthe door" he states "Just as the Dragons returned to their own timeline" he adds
"What the hell are you talking about!?" E.S.U yells "I am the most powerful being created to kill Zeref and take his place...I am no one's pawn!"
"You have always been a pawn, I found you when Zeref created his so called books of Tartaros and with my visual power I altered your orders, FACE never effected Magic...it effected Chakra" he explains suprising the demon version of himself "More accurately it targets Rinnegan users to use a certain Jutsu"
"Gedō — Rinne Tensei no Jutsu" Naruto can't help but smirk, he must have programmed E.S.U to implant Rinnegan into himself for this reason "But what about Nagato? Your plan cost him the most"
"Gaara has hopefully rounded up the others...after leaving Nagato in a hospital bed where he is waiting for his eyes" Sasuke says looking at the blonde "All I can do is apologise for my actions...if that is not enough" he says and Naruto sighs.
"Yeah man...It's all we can ask for, better than you being dead anyway" Naruto states looking around "But couldn't you have done so without dragging us into a war?"
"You and I both know this isn't war" Sasuke says as the Moon turns purple reflecting Sasuke's Tomoe-Rinnegan, E.S.U's hair turns white as Sasuke's skin begins to burn as the blood begins pumping throughout his body, his heartbeat causes him to take a deep breath "The real war is coming and we need to be ready for it"
A Massive pillar of light erupts from the ground, at its core was the Divine Tree "That's!" Naruto see's Sasuke bolt towards it as his eyes wilt away, he watches E.S.U collapse and forms a shadow clone to bring the body with him. "Up ahead...everyone's waiting" he says feeling the presence of all their friends.
Unable to see Sasuke can still sense the presence of Itachi, Obito, Makarov at the forefront of the group. In front of them stood the older clone of himself "You're plan went off without a hitch" the older version says. The rest decide to listen in, amazed that Sasuke planned these events 400 years in the past.
"I wouldn't say without a hitch...but yes, I am alive again" Sasuke states, he couldn't see her face but he had wondered what Erza looked like right now, or what she was thinking "My eyes" he says and the old man extends his arm already holding them ready. Once his eyes are implanted he spends a few moments observing everyone's expression the Rinnegan/Sharingan eyes returned to their usual Onyx, "And the other thing?" he asks.
"Complete and waiting" he says as the light from FACE fades causing the old man to crumble away...
"Thank you..." Sasuke says softly turning his gaze to Naruto "Bring Nagato here" he says and Naruto although confused nods vanishing as Sasuke see's Erza approach.
"You did all this...just to revive yourself?" she questions and he looks away "Look at me Sasuke!" she orders and he turns back to her.
"I'll answer anything you have to ask later...when we are alone" he replies seeing her expression darken "But yes...I manipulated this from the beginning" he states and she feels the urge to hit him but ignores it...at least until she can understand fully.
Natsu
"I-I've fallen?" Mard Geer asks laying within a crater, everything he dedicated his existence to went up in flames...literally, he reached for the Book with E.N.D on the cover "M-Master...your guild needs you! FACE has activated so why aren't you back?"
"This book is your master?" Natsu walks over to the book "I thought it was that E.S.U guy..." he lights his other hand with the intention of destroying the book, Mard Geer could only look on in fear. However the book vanished from his hand "What that!?"
"That's enough...both of you preformed admirably" Mard Geer's eyes widen at the sight of the Black Wizard himself, who was holdning the book "Mard Geer Tartaros...you have tried your best...return to me now" he says extending his hand causing the Demon to revert back to his book form in Zerefs hand before crumbling away.
"You killed him" Natsu growls taking a fighting stand "He was loyal to you, his actions were wrong but he followed them to prove himself to you!"
"All of Tartaros was created with the purpose of killing me Natsu...however Sasuke Uchiha reprogrammed them, which means he allong with the others are no longer useful" his soft look enraged Natsu even more "I really hope you are the one to kill me Natsu, I couldn't bare to cause you anymore harm...maybe if i KILL all of your comrades it will motivate you" his face darkens and his eyes turn red.
"Like hell I'll let that happen!" Natsu Charges only to be blown back
"You will have the chance to face me again Natsu, in 1 year I will be coming for Fairy Tail, and I will slaughter everyone who stands against me" he turns and begins to leave "...until then, Natsu" he vanishes
"A whole year huh?" Natsu can't help but grin "I'll be ready"
_The Others
"You used the Eclipse Gate in the past and sent the older version of yourself to the future before it was destroyed...with a vile of your , didn't you Sasuke" Sasuke looks at Gaara and nods.
"Aa...the gate was opened long before the Grand Magic games by a Celestial Wizard using the 12 golden keys, I sent the old clone through and had him wait until the right time to give Tartaros my D.N.A so E.S.U could think he had brought me back to be his pawn" he explains.
"Why them...I mean why not bring it to us?" Shikamaru questions, the Wizards had taken a back seat as all of this was going over them for the most part.
"I..." he pauses looking at Erza
"You didn't trust us to carry your plan out...to revive you" Itachi crosses his arms, "It's understandable, Edo-Tensei requires a sacrifice...as does the Rinne-Rebirth" he states and Sasuke gives a single nod.
Before anymore questions could be asked Naruto returned with Nagato, his body was frail "I sense Sasuke...is it" the weakened Uzumaki says.
"Yeah it's the real Sasuke...living and breathing...for now at least" he says looking at Sasuke who walks over "What's this all about Sasuke?" the blonde asks
Sasuke ignores him for the moment, placing his hand on Nagato's chest Nagato begins to regain colour in his skin, his hair returns to its red rooted colour "This is the Chakra E.S.U stole from you" he says and Nagato stands on his own now that his strength was back.
"The Uchiha never cease to amaze me" Nagato smiles "But we Uzumaki are still cooler" extends his hand "My eyes are near aren't they" he leans towards them.
"I'll implant them...I do have experience" Obito says remembering that it was he who gave Sasuke Itachi's eyes long ago.
"So what now?" Naruto turns to Sasuke who smirks confusing him
"You can't feel it? The nostalgia of this place" Sasuke asks and a confused Naruto looks around "You know this place well" he adds and Naruto's eyes widen. He could feel it, a weak feeling but unmistakable
"The Valley of End!" he says and Sasuke nods "But...how can that be?" he asks and Sasuke leads them into a narrow gap in the thick forest.
"400 years ago I found myself here after I sent my old clone into the future" he begins as they all listen closely "I spent most of my life in the ruins of Konoha...where I learned that this world and ours are one in the same...only in that time like this Chakra had all but dried up" he pauses to look around "I tried to learn why this happened but couldn't at best I thought it had something to do with us sealing Kaguya away" he cuts a hole into the ground "Over the centuries Earthquakes sunk our land into the planet allowing fresh new lands to take shape...but this is where it happened Naruto, where we fought for the last time" he says as they all jumped down, the cave was large and thanks to glowing rocks they had some light.
It was true; Naruto and others recognised the shattered remains of the statues of Madara and Hashirama among the rubble "So...if we weren't sent to a different world...then we" Naruto realizes
"We were sent to the future...the era after Chakra, the era of Magic" Sasuke explains for the rest "The reason Kaguya sent us here was because she believed we would never realize that our worlds were the same only separated by time"
"So the reason she could create Itachi and Nagato, and the Obito...Lee was because she had their D.N.A" Naruto growls "She tried to trick us into freeing her again".
"So Sasuke, what was the other thing you had prepared?" Itachi asks seeing Sasuke's face sour.
"As you've noticed the amount of Chakra we have is getting smaller" Sasuke says and Itachi nods, he figured this during the games.
"When Erza and Mirajane were able to stand up to you and Naruto despite you using your Six Paths power...that's when I realised" the older Uchiha says, he didn't mean to insult the two wizards however Sasuke was stronger when they fought Kabuto than when he fought during the games. He could have been holding back but it was too much to believe they weren't fighting seriously.
"That's because whatever caused the Chakra to dry up in our time is effecting us now" Sasuke states suprising them "Kaguya never took our Six Paths power...the amount of Chakra we had when we arrived wasn't enough to allow us to use that power" he states and Naruto realizes something.
"We got our full power back because of the 7 years we remained in stasis!" the blonde states and Sasuke nods.
"Even slow, 7 years of Chakra building restored us to our full power" Sasuke states "But even then it wouldn't last, because we fought against that monster we used up Chakra that wouldn't come back.
"So you found a way to counter this? Give us back the ability to have Chakra come back again?" Shikamaru asks and Sasuke nods.
"This way" he instructs for them to follow him.
Meanwhile the main members of Fairy Tail who decided to follow where left at the back scratching their heads "So...they've progressively getting weaker with every battle?" Gray whistles "They must be monsters at full strength.
"I'm more amazed that they come from a long forgotten era rather than a different world...although in hindsight it makes more sense" Mira states
"Sasuke...what are you really thinking right now" Erza wonders, when she saw him reanimated she decided then she would stop at nothing to bring him back to life...however everything that happened to her, Mira and the others was caused by his own plan to resurrect himself "Are you incapable of trusting anyone Sasuke?"
She was surprised when he turned to them "From this point on...it's best we Shinobi go alone" his eyes lock onto Erza's "I don't know how this will go and it's better if you guys are on the outside"
"Yeah, that's probably for the best" Makarov's intervention prevented Erza from responding to him "There has been something I've been meaning to tell the members of my Guild" he says leading them out...at this point Mira was trying to explain how she wasn't a member of the Guild but Erza was hearing none of it.
Once they were gone Sasuke continued to lead his fellow Shinobi down the caverns, their only light came from Lacrima crystals. "So what's so important that the others couldn't?" Naruto's eyes widened as he sees a perfectly intact tomb with a Crescent Moon and Sun symbol "The Otsutsuki clan symbol" the blonde states with awe surprised to see something like this.
"Aa...the reason I only wanted you to see this is because this is a private moment" he says and they look around the room, at its center was a beam of light coming from the center. Within the beam was a small frail tree with a fruit growing from it.
"Sasuke...what is this place?" Itachi asks, there was a description on the wall of two men absorbing the Tailed Beast's into fruit, followed by what looked to be the elemental lands breaking apart.
"Kaguya Otsutsuki created the white Zetsu army out of fear from other members of her clan coming to take her Chakra" Sasuke says and Naruto can guess where he was going remembering the Sage's story about his mother "It seems at some point two Otsutsuki members came and did exactly that and absorbed the Tailed Beasts" he says seeing Naruto's saddened expression "Their action's along with one other cataclysmal event caused our world to lose Chakra" he says as they gather around the fruit "This is the last remnant of our time"
"It's so small" Shikamaru says with a sad look
"After all we did for peace" Gaara crosses his arms
"Even still...It's nice to see something from our time made it this far" Naruto comments which kind of brightens the mood
"Eating this fruit is your solution?" Obito asks and Sasuke nods "Wouldn't that be dangerous?"
"Don't misunderstand, this isn't a Divine Fruit...this is simply what's left of the Chakra from our time, surrendered by the last Shinobi in their final moments" Sasuke states, "They wanted it saved in case our world could be brought back"
"Our world is gone...rubble under thousands of years of evolution" Naruto says surprising them "We can't bring our world back...however this world has someone precious to me and I want to protect her...even if that means I need destroy our old worlds last remnant" he declares.
"I too have people I want to protect" Itachi says thinking of his wife and kids...which no one surprised was by.
"If I get weaker then Kagura wouldn't let me look at the clouds instead of train" Shikamaru says sounding like his old self...meanwhile Sasuke leaned over to Naruto whispering "That's the Mermaid Heel sword user?" while Naruto whispered "I'll tell you about it later".
"I am the last member of the Council it's my duty to lead this country past this tragedy and into happier times" Nagato states and Gaara nods
"Now more than ever, my experience as a Kage will be needed" The redhead comments...
"Yeah...why not?" Obito shrugs causing the others to sweat drop "Can't have my Guild lose another master" he smirks to himself.
"...Erza" Sasuke slices the fruit into seven pieces, upon chewing the fruit they felt a surge of energy coursing through their body. However after swallowing it the energetic feeling turned to extreme pain, almost like a large hit of Adrenaline flowing into their Chakra Network.
Then they passed out...
Two Days Later
Naruto's eyes awoke to the familiar roof of the Tús Nua Guild infirmary "Ugh...feeling hangover" he groans sitting up, beside him Gaara and Shikamaru were still out on one side, while Nagato, Itachi and Obito were on the other. "So Sasuke was the first up...damn it" he grumbles as a teary eyed Mirajane hugged him.
"I was so worried; first there was a huge explosion, then an earthquake" her grip around him tightens "Then Natsu and the others carried you all out and it's been two days!" she says hysterically as Naruto gently runs his hand up and down her back soothingly.
"Shh...I'm fine" he says as she parts to look at him with puffy red cheeks, his trademark grin seemed to be enough to ease her as she hugged him again "In fact I've never felt better" he adds clenching his fist.
"Just like Sasuke" Porlyusica comments looking at her clip board "The fool wakes up, and tries to get out of bed...then makes the ONLY assistant I had fall asleep" she huffs "What happened down there...I've never seen vitals this perfect in all my years" she says and Naruto grins.
"Healthy living" he responds casually dodging the incoming clipboard, he looks Mira who also wanted to know, Naruto had an unusual glow which she'd never seen him with, and Sasuke was the same. "It's a really long story...I wouldn't even know where to begin" he smiles with a head tilt
"Ack the tilt my one weakness" she thinks leaning into him sitting on his lap "OK, you don't have to tell me what happened I trust you" she takes his hand "Sasuke told me something, it's a miracle" she says placing his hand on stomach "Our baby...it's alive" she says feeling the tears welling up and this time Naruto was no help as he too was close to crying with relief.
"W-We're going to be parents?" he asks foolishly
"We are going to be a family" she hums
_Erza and Sasuke_
Erza and Sasuke stood across from each other; unlike Mirajane she didn't know how to feel right now. She'd hoped by the time he'd woken up she would have come up with something to say...luckily Sasuke spoke first.
"You...let your hair grow out" he says and she couldn't help but smile a little as a portion of her face was indeed obstructed from his view thanks to her fringe.
"You too..." she says, his once signature spiked back had been replaced and his hair was flat with a black sash around his forehead keeping his fringe out of his eyes "You must have been busy in the past preparing for this grand plan of yours" she comments and he looks away.
"Yeah...it took me awhile to get everything in order" he says awkwardly "Still, you look...good" he tries to divert the conversation away from the topic which she clearly had no intention on dropping.
"Sasuke I had...have so many emotions right now" she sighs "I don't know if I should kiss you or slap you" she says exasperatedly before adding "If you say 'save the dirty talk for the bedroom' I really will hit you" she growls as he nods quickly "Look...I need time, time to process all of what's going on in my head" she turns away from him "I mean...are you the same Sasuke from before? What in the past could have changed you? Do you even" she is cut off hearing the grass crumble under his foot as he moves to her.
"Erza...no matter what never forget that you make me human...you make me smile, make me blush, make me happy, happier than... I deserve to be..." he says repeating the final words he spoke to her that final time they spoke in the capital. "No matter what happens now, in the future...even the past" he takes another step "I will always love you"
"Sasuke..." she breaths in as his face approaches her own, their lips millimetres apart, two years of her looking at the skies begging for him to come back...
She pulls away
Surprised he looks at her, her eyes a filled with fear and confusion "I'm sorry!" she runs away from him leaving him alone.
"Erza" was all he could say as she vanished from his view
The End
Like I said, sorry for the long gap but this chapter just sucked when I started, I planned to end this chapter at reviving Sasuke and saving the rest for the following chapter, but I feel the content AFTER Sasuke's revival is much better
The next chapters will focus on the relationships between characters, Naruto and Mira's journey to marriage and Parenting.
