I'm sorry for the late update, but I've been so busy that I barely had time to write. And I'm also sad that no one has reviewed the previous chapter, which one of the main reasons for the late update. Hopefully, you all will read and review this one; but if not, then I'll just keep wondering where did all my fans go. I really want to hear from you guys. Chapter 36: Aftermath
When I woke up, I noticed the complete change in scenery, which looked a hundred times better than before. Once I saw the TV on the wall, I remembered that my sekirei and I have moved back into our newly rebuilt house.
So it wasn't a dream; we really did move back into our house.
I sat up and noticed that I am completely naked.
"Mmm, Ren," someone whispered. I only chuckled softly and looked at the sleeping beauty next to me. Matsu was sound asleep while cuddling my arm. She too was completely naked, making me remember that we had sex last night.
She looks so cute when she's sleeping.
I looked at what time it was, groaning softly when it was five a.m. I just lay back down and turned on the TV. Suddenly, I heard Matsu mumble in her sleep and then saw her eyes open.
"Mmm, Ren?"
"Hmhm, morning sleepyhead," I greeted back. She smiled back at me and closed her eyes, wanting something. I complied and gave her a good morning kiss.
"I love you Ren," she stated. I kissed her forehead.
"I love you too Matsu."
She rested on top of me.
"Last night was so amazing."
"Remember not to tell the others how we did it," I replied. She nuzzled into my chest.
"I promise; however…"
She straddled my waist.
"For now, let's enjoy our soundproof room some more," she finished, She guided my hand towards her breasts and rubbed herself against me. After that, nothing else had to be said. Three hours later, Matsu and I were taking a shower in the same bedroom's bathroom. Matsu was humming a tune to herself; but I on the other hand, got a strange feeling. I couldn't figure it out, but I just knew something was about to happen.
After our shower, we put on clean clothes and walked downstairs, only to see Akitsu preparing breakfast; and she was wearing her maid outfit. She noticed our presence and proceeded to us.
"Good morning Master Ren, Matsu," she greeted with a bow, giving me a perfect view of her cleavage. I couldn't help but blush, causing Matsu to snicker.
"Ku, ku, ku, even though we just had sex, you're still ready to go."
Akitsu turned with a blush on her cheeks.
"Akitsu; I appreciate you cooking breakfast," I replied, wanting to change the subject. She nodded.
"You're welcome master."
I placed my hand on her shoulders and kissed her forehead. Her blush brightened and she refused to make eye contact.
"Thank you Akitsu," I repeated. She only nodded before quickly returning to her cooking. I was then tackled from behind.
"No fair; I want a good morning kiss," Musubi demanded.
"Water Celebration!"
A jet of water dashed towards Musubi, but she moved out of the way and hit me instead, soaking me from head to toe. I sighed as Tsukiumi ran up to me.
"Ren, art thou alright?"
I was soaking wet so I took my shirt off, much to the happy blushes of my sekirei.
"Aside from being soaked even though I just took a shower, I'm fine," I replied. Tsukiumi pointed at Musubi.
"Tis your fault Musubi; if thee hadn't moved, my husband wouldn't have gotten soaked."
"Ren is my husband too," Musubi pointed out. Soon, Yomi and Toyotama came down, yawning.
"What's with all the yelling? I was in the middle of a good dream," Yomi complained. Tsukiumi crossed her arms.
"No doubt your dream was filled with abominable acts."
"This coming from the one who dreams of being taken by her knight," Toyotama retorted. Tsukiumi blushed brightly.
"I dr-dream of no such thing," she denied. Yomi laughed.
"Oh really? Then how come at the inn, I heard you talking in your sleep? And I believe one of those phrases happened to be 'My brave knight, take my hand and let's dance the night away' or was that also not true?"
Tsukiumi's face turned redder. Instead of coming up with a retort, she doused Yomi and Toyotama with water.
"Cease this foolish squabble!" She exclaimed still red. The two stood up and attempted to attack Tsukiumi; but I had Akitsu freeze all three of them.
"I want you three to calm down; it's too early for this."
"But they started it," Tsukiumi stated.
I sighed. "Now I want you three to apologize. They turned their heads, refusing to listen.
"Fine; if that's the way you want to be. If you don't apologize, I will take away Tsukiumi and Yomi's rewards and Toyotama will not get a date night."
"WHAT!" The three exclaimed.
"Yeah, I could always give them to someone else," I said. I stared the girls down, locking my eyes with theirs.
"Fine; we apologize for insulting you Tsukiumi," Yomi and Toyotama apologized.
"I too apologize for my rash behavior," Tsukiumi replied. I nodded.
"You can release them Akitsu."
"As you wish," she replied. The ice shattered and allowed the girls to walk again.
"So we still have our plans?" Yomi asked.
"Oh I was just kidding about all that," I replied bluntly.
"WHAT!" the three shouted again. Akitsu froze them again to keep them from hurting me. The commotion did wake up Uzume and Kazehana, whom walked downstairs in their bra and panties.
"What's going on here? Why is there so much yelling?" Uzume yawned. They saw the frozen sekirei, causing Uzume to start laughing.
"And what happen here?" Kazehana asked rubbing my chest. She then noticed the red on my cheeks.
"Darling? Why are you red?"
I turned my head.
"Um, I can…see your cleavage."
She turned my head back to her.
"I don't mind if it's you staring; I have nothing to hide from my love," she whispered. Pretty much everyone fought for that one. After we ate breakfast in our newly built dining room, we received a call from Takehito, telling us to come to the inn. He also told me to bring the Jinkialong. During the trip there, I know for sure that someone was watching us. I couldn't brush the feeling off so I held the Jinki closer. Once we all got to the inn, we were greeted by Jason and his fiancée.
"Morning," Jason greeted.
"Good morning," I replied. We followed the couple inside and met the others in the dining room. Seo and the lightning twins were also present; but there was one problem though. The entire inn was too cramped due to so many people. So, with my consent, we all backtracked to my house. Those who haven't seen it was just as awestruck as those who have before. When they saw it, Hibiki and Hikari dropped to their knees in depression.
"What's wrong with you two?" Uzume asked.
"Why must we have such a scum for an ashikabi?" Hikari asked. Seo only sighed as the others laughed.
"Anyway, what did you want to talk about Takehito?" I asked. He didn't hear me for he was too busy staring at the seventy inch TV.
"Huh? Oh right; I needed to…discuss some things," he said, slowly walking away from the TV. We all gathered in the living room, waiting for Takehito.
"Alright then, first, I want Ren, Jason, and Seo to place their phones on the tables and set their ringtones."
We three did as told and waited for Takehito to finish.
"Every day at noon, Minaka will select the next combatants."
"So we just wait until our cells go off," Jason said.
"Precisely," Takehito replied. The time now was ten; and the others used the remaining time to look around. Takehito again was looking at the TV.
"Takehito, it's just a TV," I said.
"A seventy inch flat screen TV," he added without looking at me. "And the designs are just incredible."
I just left him to continue staring. Once it was a minute 'til noon, everyone gathered around again and waited for the choosing. The second noon arrived one of the phones went off; but it wasn't Jason's or mine. Instead, Seo was the chosen one; he and his sekirei stood up.
"Well, guess we're up," he stated. The three left the house to wherever they were assigned to. Hiroto Minaka then appeared on the TV with a big grin on his face.
"Greetings everyone; I assume you already know who I am so I will skip introductions," he greeted. "Now then, the combatants who have been selected will fight here."
On the screen, some kind of construction area was shown. There were a huge tower in the center with stairs and platforms scaling it. Soon, the camera changed and showed the contestants. Seo and his sekirei appeared first. Next, Mikogami and Mutsu; and then a random guy and his sekirei appeared.
"This round is simple; all you have to do is find the item hidden here. The first person to claim it will be declared the winner."
"So this is the hunt," I said. Takehito nodded.
"If it so happens that only one ashikabi has sekirei still alive, then that ashikabi will be automatically declared victorious," Minaka finished. He vanished from the screen and signaled the start of the match, which was quite short. Mikogami ended up victorious and his prize was another Jinki, which had the number seven on it. Minaka then returned on the television, announcing that the next contestants will be selected tomorrow.
"Well that didn't last long," Jason pointed out. "And these Jinkis, what exactly are they?"
Takehito responded. "We'll wait for you to obtain one before explaining them."
"In the meantime, prepare for when it's your turn," Miya spoke up. Suddenly,
"REN!" Tsukiumi exclaimed, scaring the shit out of me. I stood up, but was then grabbed by the collar by said Tsukiumi.
"Whoa, whoa Tsukiumi, what's the problem?" I asked her.
"The problem, is that you hid something this important from me," she replied. I just blinked at her.
"Who is this Carmen I keep hearing about?"
"Who?" I asked. My response caused her to start shaking me violently.
"Don't play dumb with me! I heard from Uzume that you mentioned a being named Carmen. Now you will tell me who she is!" She ordered. When she stopped shaking me, my whole world was spinning.
"Carmen is a computer A.I who operates the house's security system and training room," I revealed.
"Is that true?" Tsukiumi questioned.
"Would you like to see Carmen?" I asked back.
"Of course! I have to teach this Carmen who the true wife is," Tsukiumi stated, placing her hands on her hips and puffing out her chest.
"She's only a computer A.I," I replied, leading everyone to the training room.
"Ren, what's a computer A.I?" Musubi asked.
"It stands for Artificial Intelligence. are intellectual beings that enhances electronics, mainly computers, capabilities, resulting in more efficient and useful qualities. It's the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks that normally requires human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages," I elaborated.
"In words we understand," Yomi commented.
"It enhances computer capabilities," Takehito dumbed down.
"That's better," Yomi replied, causing several people to laugh behind me, but once we arrived at the double doors, it was silent again. I opened the doors, and everyone walked inside.
"Whoa!" Multiple people stated.
"Alright, where is this Carmen?" Tsukiumi interrogated. I just cracked a smile.
"Carmen! Say hello to everyone!" I shouted. A few beeps played in a certain rhythm.
"Greetings Director Ren; how are you today?" Carmen greeted.
"Hey Carmen; I want you to meet my sekirei and friends," I greeted back.
"Hello everyone, it's nice to meet you all," she replied.
"Hm, she sounds nice," Jason pointed out.
"Yeah, even though I made a mistake the first time I walked in," I responded.
"What do you mean?" Matsu asked.
"I'll tell you later," I answered. "Tsukiumi, meet Carmen; she is the A.I I keep talking about."
"So she is merely a computer?" Tsukiumi asked.
"An advance computer, but yep," I replied. Tsukiumi stepped forward.
"Listen well Carmen; you may be just some computer, but I still will not let you have my husband. Dost thou understand?"
More beeps play in a different rhythm.
"I see. You must be Tsukiumi," Carmen said. Tsukiumi nodded her head confidently.
"Yes, I am Ren's true wife."
"Hmmm, you say that; but according to my databanks, the director has more than one wife and has slept with six out eight. His most recent being Matsu, which happened last night," Carmen pointed out.
"WHAT!" Tsukiumi yelled. Sights set onto me as I looked at everyone's expression.
"What? I can't have sex in my own house?" I questioned. Matsu giggled and wrapped her arm around mine.
"But there were no noises. Normally we would have to put in earplugs, but it was quiet last night," Uzume pointed out.
"My room is soundproof," I replied bluntly.
"Seriously?" Jason asked.
"Yeah, my told me in a letter," I replied. "He also told me about this training room. So, how about we take it for a spin?"
"Hmm, she seems sophisticated," Takehito pointed out. "Do you know how she works?"
"Not a clue," I replied. Everyone laughed at me response. As I was explaining some things, Takehito and Miya headed back to the inn. Jason, Matsu, Kuno, Ku, and I were in the observation room. Matsu was imputing the rest of the data in for Carmen. I could barely see her fingers move they were so fast. Kusano and Kuno tried keeping up but got dizzy instead.
"Alright Ren; I have inputted all the necessary configurations. We are good to go," Matsu stated.
"So how does it work?" I asked.
"Carmen," Matsu called out.
"Yes, all you have to do is announce a command, and I will act based upon the order."
"Okay, I understand," I replied with a nod. "Let me try something."
I looked at the machinery in front of me; and all I wanted to do went out the other ear once I got a clearer look at such complex controls.
"Uh, how do I talk to the others?"
"Intercom on; you can communicate with the others now director," Carmen said. Taking her word for it, I spoke into the intercom.
"Can you girls hear me? If you can, Akitsu, say something," I stated.
"I hear you master," she replied. Everything was working fully operational.
"Okay, I just wanted to test the communications."
"Ren, what are we suppose to be doing in here?" Yomi asked.
"We're just going to test our new training room; and by we, I mean you. So, have fun and don't destroy anything. That means you Musubi," I replied and turned off communications. I rubbed my hands together eagerly.
"Now let's test her. Carmen, activate the turrets and lasers; and do about a level one setting, just to warm them up."
"Affirmative," Carmen complied. "Should there be a time limit?"
"Hmm, yeah, after five minutes, switch to a level three setting and wait for further instructions."
"Affirmative."
Like I commanded, three gun turrets and lasers appeared from the wall and started firing. The girls were taken by surprise, but they managed to get away in time. I couldn't help but chuckle at the surprise.
"Well, let's see how they do."
"Can I try?" Jason asked.
"Sure," I replied. "Carmen, give authorization to Jason."
"Affirmative, what is your command?"
He stroked his chin.
"Do you have any drones?"
"I do," Carmen replied.
"Send out four level three drones and two level twos," Jason commanded.
"Affirmative, sending training drones," Carmen authorized. Rising from the ground, six drones, which half looked like me and Jason, dashed out; and the thing is, mine were running at speeds equal to my thunder. Even I was amazed at the spectacle.
In the 'War Room', the sekirei were moving around, dodging bullets and deflecting lasers. They were incredibly agile and avoided the weapons with no problem; but the drones were a different story. The level twos were able to match them, but the level fours were on a whole different level. They guided the level two Jasons by covering them as they for a sneak attack. In addition to the weapons, the drones worked in perfect harmony and gave the girls a run for their money. In the observation room, all we basically saw were different elements, explosions, and smoke. Jason whistled.
"I wouldn't last ten seconds out there," Jason said.
"That reminds me, what mistake did you make in here Ren?" Matsu asked. I was about to respond, but Carmen interrupted.
"Director, if I may, I would like to show the recording I have of your encounter."
"You recorded it?" I questioned.
"Yes, it is currently stored in my databanks."
I sighed. "Fine, play the recording."
"Playing feedback," Carmen said. The TV screen lowered and the recording of my first time seeing the room played. While the others watched the video, I watched the sekirei. The drones have been annihilated, but now that the five minutes were up, more turrets were deployed, level four drones were unleashed, and the turrets had variables now and scaled the walls.
"Carmen, stop the training program," I stated.
"Affirmative."
The command stopped all weapons and made them go into standby mode. I got on the intercom.
"How did you girls like your warm up?"
"What just happened?" Majority questioned.
"We just tested our training room," I responded.
"And by we, you mean us," Uzume said.
"Bingo," I replied. "Now you can use it to your hearts' content; but you have to be with Matsu or me in order to use it; Jason's sekirei same for you."
"Let's keep going," Musubi stated enthusiastically. I chuckled at her and looked at my options.
"Ren; I just thought of something," Jason told me. He whispered his idea to me.
"Hmmm, I don't see why not," I agreed. I looked through the programs Mastu inputted and added my own. I felt said Matsu rest her head on my back. Her hands also joined in.
"What do you think of our house Matsu?"
"Mmm, I love it," she whispered, nuzzling into my back.
"Hmhm, I'm glad you think so."
"What are you doing?"
"I'm setting up my own training program," I replied. She giggled and stepped in front of me. Her lips met mine as her wings took form and sprouted. I felt her hands on my cheeks. Matsu broke the kiss and rubbed our noses together, giggling as she did so. She then whispered in my ear.
"Let's experiment again sometime."
I snaked one of my arms around her waist and kissed her again.
"Director now is not the time for this," Carmen said. I, much to Matsu's disappointment, ended the kiss.
"Carmen, initiate the new program, 00-Beta-1," I stated.
"Affirmative, launching newest program," Carmen replied. On the intercom,
"Girls, I just added a new training program. Instead of telling you about what I did here, I'm going to let you experience it."
"What?" Half the girls said. Suddenly, the place started shaking. The looks on the girls' faces were priceless. Soon, walls started rising from the ground and created another maze. The walls deployed more guns and lasers; but this time, it also deployed giant saw blades and something new I added, giant cannons that fires missiles and bombs. The screen showed where everyone was located due to the walls splitting them up into separate teams. I couldn't tell who were on teams, but it didn't matter. To finish it all off, thirteen drones appeared at the door entrance and waited for their commands.
"Okay everyone, as you can see, I have an entire arsenal at my disposal. There are giant saw blades, cannons that shoot bombs, and level five drones waiting to instructions. Minus the cannons and drones, this is what I had to experience; but your goal is much different. Your goal is to make it through the maze and find the deactivation switch located at the entrance door. I had to outrun all of this and find the correct code to deactivate them. Now you're probably thinking that you can just say a code and end it all. Well you're wrong; Matsu and I are the only two that can deactivate everything by codes. Now then, the person or people standing beside you is your partner. You sand said partner are to help each other find the goal while at the same time trying not to get blasted or torn in half. The drones however are designed specifically to attack one of you; and those who are not the target cannot harm it. How you will know is the half the mystery. Good luck to you all and to my sekirei, I love you," I explained.
"And to my sekirei and fiancée, I love you too," Jason stated. We went back to the screen, except Jason who was asked to kiss a shy blond, much the jealousy of the shorter blond. The screen showed multiple dots, resembling the girls' locations. The dots were rushing through the maze, but some remained stationary. The gray dots represented the drones, and they were moving fast, splitting up to find their assigned targets.
"Do you think I made things too difficult for them?" I asked Matsu. She fixed her glasses before responding.
"You don't have faith in them?"
"You know I always have faith in my girls," I replied. I sat down on one of the chairs, and Matsu sat on my lap. She giggled as she nuzzled her head on my chest.
"Last night is still the main thing on your mind?"
She kissed me.
"It was just so amazing," she whispered. She continued kissing me, moaning into each one. Once oxygen was needed, we separated to breathe some in.
"The next time we have sex, let's do so much more."
"You have a one tracked mind don't you?" I teased. She pouted cutely. I couldn't help but chuckle and kiss her cheek.
"Big brother, what does sex means?" Kusano asked. Jason turned red at the question and looked at me, but I just gave that waiting for an answer stare.
"Uh, you're too young to know what that means; but when you're older, I will tell you. So until then, wait patiently," he replied. She pouted and did little growl. Jason looked back at me, his eyes saying to change the subject.
"Carmen, give us a view of Toyotama," I stated.
"Affirmative," she authorized. The screen showed us Toyotama, along with Kaho. They were fighting two of the drones, but Toyotama hit the wrong one and made an energy field appear around it, blocking her strike. She and Kaho then jumped back, dodging a couple of lasers.
"Hmm, hey do you think the sekirei should fight the team they confront?"
"As in like team battles?" Jason asked.
"Yeah," I replied with a nod.
"Wouldn't the space be too crowded?" Matsu inquired.
"It's to help in case of outnumbering odds," I replied. "Carmen, put me on the speaker."
"Affirmative, putting you through the speaker; you may talk whenever you are ready?"
"Girls, I forgot to mention something; if you meet up with another team, you are to fight them; however, you still have to make your way to the switch and handle the weapons targeting you all. And before you point out that the place is too cramped, it's too help handle uneven odds; and no I am not making this up," I announced. The moment I finished, Toyotama and Kaho just barely dodged a saw blade, screaming at the sudden surprise. We all laughed.
"How did you survive this?" Jason asked controlling his laughter.
"I really have no idea. I nearly got sawed in half, but I made it through by giving Carmen my identity," I replied. "And I will never let my curiosity get the best of me."
"I don't know Ren; you have a high curiosity level," Matsu said. Jason his sekirei nodded their heads.
"And yet I'm still alive," I responded, causing everyone to laugh again. Toyotama and Kaho lost their drones and met up with Musubi and Homura, meaning it's time to fight.
"Homura got this," Jason stated bluntly.
"Just because she wields fire and is a single number doesn't mean she will automatically win," I replied. He grinned.
"I don't know Ren; I remember Homura telling me that she always defeated Tsukiumi and was considered one of the strongest sekirei pre-emerged."
"Yeah? Well she hasn't fought Tsukiumi ever since, so how about we see who's stronger now?" I asked.
"Maybe later; I kinda want to give this training a try," he replied.
"Let's head in after them," I said. We continued watching the screen, seeing Homura throwing multiple fireballs at Toyotama, who spun her staff and deflected the attacks, but was pushed back with each impact. Homura got in close with a fireball in her hand, but was met by Kaho, who caused the fire to explode after cutting it. The explosion concealed everyone's presence, but the weapons were still firing at the spot; and to make things harder, the correct drones found them and went on the attack.
"Carmen, switch back to a bird's eye view."
"Affirmative."
Jason and I whistled at the amount of explosions and smoke going off. Every second, some explosion goes off and smoke starts rising.
"Wow, they're really going at it," Jason said.
"I guess my match sparked something," I replied.
"You did leave a good impression," Matsu responded.
"What do you suppose Higa is up to now?" Jason asked.
I shrugged my shoulders. "Beats me."
"Do you think he might want revenge?" Jason asked. "I mean you decked him in the jaw and took out three of his sekirei without losing any of yours."
"That punch felt good by the way; but I don't think he'll come looking for revenge. If he does, I'll use every resource I have to beat him," I stated. "Speaking of which."
I looked at Matsu, who just blinked at me.
"What?"
"You seriously left the satellite unattended? Do you know how freaked out by how close that thing came to blowing me to smithereens?" I questioned. She laughed and dragged her fingers through her hair.
"I didn't think he would take control of it so I thought it would be safe."
She nuzzled her head in my chest again.
"Hey, I know you said you were going to wait until I obtain one, but can you at least tell me how powerful these Jinkis are?" Jason asked.
"According to what my uncle told me, the Jinki is a very powerful crystal that contains unimaginable power. He said that right now, I am considerably the most powerful ashikabi; but he never told me all about the Jinki, saying Matsu will explain," I stated.
"I will; but again, I want to wait until Jason obtains one. After that, I promise to tell you everything you want to know," she spoke up. "Takehito, your uncle, and I believe you two will be the keys to fulfill our plans."
"Plans? What plans?" I questioned. Matsu placed a hand over her mouth.
"Oops, I didn't mean to say that," she said.
"Mm-hmm, care to explain?" I asked firmly.
"Uh, I promised Takehito and your uncle not to tell you until it is finished," she said. "They wanted you to focus more on what's currently going on."
"And that would be the plan you accidentally mentioned," I replied. She sighed.
"Just leave the topic alone okay? You'll know in the future, just give it time."
Before I could say anything, my phone went off. The person calling was unfamiliar to me, but I cautiously answered.
"Hello Ren, or do you prefer to be called Ashikabi of the North?" The caller questioned.
"Who are you and how did you get this number?" I asked back. There was an amused laughter.
"That is not important at the moment."
"Then why have you called me?" I interrogated.
"I just merely wish to discuss some things with you, but in person."
"Why not over the phone?" I asked.
"Because others might be listening in," the person said. "Meet me at the hill where you battled Ryan and we'll talk there; but if you refuse, your sekirei will say goodbye to her special friend."
"WHAT!" I exclaimed. The call ended.
"Ren, who was that?" Jason asked. I lifted Matsu to her feet and walked to the control panel.
Shit! How does he know?
"Carmen, activate code Zonin 08-97," I stated. There were some beeps.
"Code recognized, shutting down all programs," Carmen said. The place started shaking again as the maze began lowering, the guns and turrets returned to the walls, and the saw blades went back into the ceiling. The drones ceased moving and stood still as the floors lowered them down.
"Girls," I called over the intercom.
"Ren, what's happening?" Yomi asked.
"Don't worry about that; Uzume, get over here. I need to tell you something incredibly urgent," I replied. "The rest of you stay where you are."
"Hold on, what's so important that you can't tell the rest of us?" Toyotama questioned.
"That's right; we want to know too," Musubi stated.
"This affects Uzume more than the rest of you," I replied. Said Uzume walked into the observation room and shut the door behind her.
"What's the problem?" She asked. I took a deep breath before responding.
"Uzume; I just got off the phone with someone who wants to meet me in person and discuss some things. I don't know what they want to talk about, but I think it's a trap," I replied. She nodded her head in understanding.
"But what does that have to do with me?" She asked. I took another breath and placed my hands on her shoulders.
"Chiho is in danger," I told her. Her eyes slowly expanded as her mouth hang open.
"If I refuse to go, Chiho…will die."
