AN: Yet another new idea! I was doing some research on Sailor Moon villains, and this quickly took form in my head. Sort of a 'different side of the story' idea.
Earth Never Loses (Sailor Moon/Ranma 1/2)
A fight with Ryoga taking them farther than usual one evening, Ranma comes across a strange sight on the way back to the Tendo residence. Encountering a blonde man about to be killed by a trio of 'witches', Ranma steps in and saves his life. The man, who would later introduce himself a Jadeite, seems to recognize Ranma, (or at least the female form she was in at the time,) and promises to repay her one day.
However, life in Nerima continued in its usual craziness, and Ranma quickly forgot about the strange encounter. Time passed, and and Ranma found himself facing his deadliest foe to date; Saffron, the Phoenix Lord. Even as Ranma fought to save his fiancee's life and stop Saffron from reaching his full power and becoming a threat to the entire world, though, another battle was taking place with stakes just as high.
With her friends sacrifices, Sailor Moon managed to defeat the Metalia-infused Queen Beryl. However, using a magical crystal, she made a wish powerful enough to rewrite time, keeping her friends alive, while Metalia, Beryl, and their forces stayed dead. No act is without its consequences, though, especially not one of such magnitude.
Beryl, before she was corrupted by Metalia, had been Guardian of Earth, and with her death, that power was freed to be wielded by a new Guardian. Though the other eight planets had been left desolated by the ancient war between Beryl and Serenity, Earth had endured, and prospered since. The planet lived, and it sought out a new Guardian, finding one descended from the previous to be powerful and righteous enough to resist being corrupted the same way Beryl was.
Thus, was Ranma rudely awoken the day after his fight with Saffron, suddenly turned into female form, and flooded with strange power. Although Ranma found she could still turn back to her birth form normally, she could only feel the strange new power while in female form. Upon returning to Japan, however, Ranma received an unexpected visitor.
Unlike his fellow Generals and their Queen, Jadeite had not been killed. Saved by Ranma, only to be imprisoned by Beryl for his failure, Jadeite was freed when Beryl died, and sought out the young redhead that had so reminded him of Beryl before she was corrupted. Tracking her to the Tendo Dojo, Jadeite could feel the Guardian power within her. Quickly discovering that Ranma knew nothing of her new power, the Senshi, or the ancient war, he tells Ranma his tale; Serenity's desire for dominion, the Senshi's abandonment of duty, Beryl's and the Earth General's determined stand, Endymion's betrayal, and the desperate mistake of trying to to harness the power of Metalia to turn the tide of war.
Discovering that the current Senshi are reincarnations of their former selves, Ranma agrees to help Jadeite stop them threatening the people of Earth once more. Meeting the Dark Moon Clan, and learning the horrible future awaiting those not aloud to dwell inside the walls of Crystal Tokyo, Ranma's determination to stop the Senshi only grows.
However, when Wiseman's true nature is revealed, Ranma and her allies are reminded of the true purpose on the Guardians; to protect their planets from threats from beyond the stars.
Between the Senshi and the forces of Chaos, Ranma knows even she won't be able to handle such threat alone. But will Jadeite and the Dark Moon Clan be enough? Or might she need to include others, such as a certain Lost Boy who keeps showing up whenever she get's in over her head?
AN: And there you go! I have yet to find something like this be done, and the temptation to simply write it out myself is strong indeed...
