Chapter 36
Warehouse Rumble
The heat of battle...this is a warrior's true purpose.
The wind was surprisingly light.
Blowing only just hard enough to kick up minuscule grains of dirt. And even as such a tiny detail was overlooked, so were many others, all insignificant in comparison to the mission at hand.
Sora, Pyrrha, Nora and Ren had only just entered the outside construction field that contained the empty warehouse. Day was still upon them, the sun shining brightly. Yet even so the warriors felt like shadows were cast upon them, knowing that battle was imminent. But they marched forward, ready to counter whatever obstacles may come their way.
Sora caught a glimpse of Pyrrha through the corner of his eye. He was rather impressed that the girl pulled off a technique like Strike Raid. Usually such as technique would require the ability to instantly summon one's weapon back to their hand. But she cleverly used her polarity to draw her spear back to her, effectively making it some sort of double sided Strike Raid.
It reminded him of when Ruby first used the Faith attack, he'd seen the same thing in Pyrrha. They must not have known for sure what they were doing, but their desire to save their friends brought out those yet to awaken powers.
Hmm…maybe he could…
"Hey Sora."
Sora snapped out of his reverie to look at Ren, whom had stopped the group's progression. Ren continued. "Do you have a plan?"
Sora thought for a second, a plan? Would a plan really help in this situation? Sneaking in was a no go, that was best saved for night. Trying to bait them would be fruitless; the organization probably knows that they're coming to rescue Jaune. Negotiation? With Organization XIII? Yeah, let's pass on that one.
In the end, he came up with nothing.
"We charge in! Guns blazing!" Sora said confidently, pounding his chest for added effect.
Everyone sweat-dropped. "Are…you serious?" questioned Ren again.
"Yeah!" Nodded Sora. "No other plans will work, Organization XIII knows were coming. Better to bust right in while fighting them off, then hightail it when he find Jaune."
Pyrrha nodded in agreement. "Not the most tactful of strategies, but we've got nothing to lose right?"
"I guess." Shrugged Nora.
The four heroes continued forward, passing the various rubble and abandoned construction machines before they finally reached the door. Sora gave a quick nod at his teammates before busting the door wide open! The warriors drew their weapons! Entering their combat stances as they were sure the enemy was waiting for them! Yes, they were going to bring down the enemy and get back their friend!
"COME ON OUT ORGANIZATION XIII!" Sora yelled out with the mighty bellow of a herculean warrior.
It was only then that he noticed the hall was void of anything.
All except a tumbleweed, which rolled through the halls with no zeal whatsoever.
The warriors were surprised. Where was the Organization? Shouldn't they be here? Trying to ambush them? But even as they stared into the long halls, no sign of life was perceived. Sora felt his previous mighty warrior morale drop. An embarrassed blush forming on his face.
"Looks like we did they whole 'epic entrance' for no reason." Sora scratched the back of his head as he chuckled.
"I wouldn't say so." Ren smirked as he held up a video recorder. "This'll be a great Christmas special."
"Ren!" Sora barked, about to snatch the camera. But he stopped himself when he sensed something coming at them.
Something that in no other case would be considered good.
"SCATTER!" Sora ordered instantly.
The four fighters jumped out of the way at a moment's notice, narrowly dodging a multitude of large black stakes made out of pure darkness. They embedded themselves into the walls behind them, fading into nonexistence soon after.
'A trap?' Pyrrha thought.
The girl had no time to think when another onslaught of dark stakes came right at her and Ren. She quickly drew Akouo and deflected a good few of them away. Ren managed to dodge the rest with fluid, specially trained movements.
That's when the Heartless began appearing.
Shadows, Neoshadows, Novashadows Megashadows and Gigashadows.
All darkness constructed pureblood monsters of the dark.
"Engage." Sora spoke out, drawing his keyblade in Bond of Flame form.
The warriors went to work disposing their foes! Nora swung Magnhild with unexpected precision, smacking one Neoshadows right into a Megashadow. She guarded herself from the massive claw attack of a Gigashadow and destroyed its legs with a single swing. Sora dropped down from the air, stabbing Bond of Flame right through the Giga's head, ending it.
With a back flip Pyrrha landed behind a Shadow, she sliced it in half before tearing away at a Novashadow. Another Nova grabbed her spear in an attempt to disarm her, but it was futile. Pyrrha kicked it back and drove her spear right through it. She roundhouse kicked a Neoshadow right in its face, sending it toward Ren.
Ren destroyed the Neoshadow with a quick one-two of his Stormflowers, gracefully dodging each attack. He assimilated a dozen Shadows with a flurry of bullets, giving him space to land. That's when a Megashadow jumped right at him! Ren however, was not fooled. He struck the beast with a powerful kick that sent it crashing into the opposite wall. No way was that monster getting back up. Ren grabbed the last monster, a Neoshadow by the leg and tossed it at Sora, who struck it down with a powerful light guided swing.
The enemies dispersed, Sora wasted no time. "Let's go!" he ordered.
The NPR of JNPR followed after their temporary leader, racing through the halls as they searched for Jaune. Random enemies would appear here and there but they were no match, they weren't even considered fodder.
Another flurry of stakes of darkness flew after them; Sora was quickly able to cast Reflera to save them. The dark nails vanished, Sora magic shield dispersing along with it.
"Is this really all that Organization can do!?" Sora yelled out, almost laughing.
That's when the trap door opened up.
Right under their feet.
Ren, Pyrrha and Nora glared at Sora intensely, while the spiky haired boy simply groaned with irritation.
"WWAAAAAHHHH!" They screamed as reality set in, causing them all to fall through the dark hole. It strangely wasn't too long a drop, even if they did land pretty awkwardly. Sora once again found himself in a familiar situation, a pair of firm, voluptuous breasts pressing against his face. Belonging only to the ever grand and talented Pyrrha Nikos.
Luckily Pyrrha noticed the inappropriate situation and leapt off the boy with a face redder than Ruby's hood. "O-Oh my goodness! I'm sorry!"
"N-no! It's alright really!" Sora got up, his face matching hers. Then he caught a glance from Ren, who was smiling at him.
Sora didn't like that smile.
"And what exactly is so funny Ren!?" Sora barked.
"Nothing, nothing." Ren chuckled, helping Nora onto her feet.
Getting a good bearing of their location, the warriors found themselves in the basement of the warehouse. A large concrete room with large spider webs in the corners, scattered items such as boxes and machines scattered the floor. All bearing the tone of unimportance since no one came back for them.
"So that opening was obviously a trapdoor." Nora said. "But why?"
"Why indeed." Concurred Pyrrha. "Why make a trapdoor simply to bring us down here? I don't see any Heartless, no Grimm, no Nobodies."
"Maybe it's to trap us down here?" Sora suggested, facing his team.
Ren shook his head. "No, that'd be far too easy." Ren pointed at the walls around them. "Any Beacon student will a good bearing on their Aura could blast through a concrete wall, not to mention these walls are very thin around the base of the warehouse."
Then Ren noticed something farther in the room, that's when he knew. "Plus, look over there."
The other three followed his finger, spotting the open double doors at the far end of the room.
"If they were going to trap us, there'd be no doors." Ren observed. "…I think they're trying to separate us, get us all in separate fights to pick us off."
"Hasn't worked so far." Pyrrha said. "We all fell down the trapdoor together, if they're plan was to separate us. This wasn't the best method."
"Really now?"
Sora was barely able to cast Reflera again. But he was glad he was able to, a flurry of dark stakes had flow at them again from behind. The shield vanished, and at that moment the boy noticed a small black ball sitting at his feet.
Oh no.
"Guys mo—
BOOM!
While not a fiery explosion like he expected, the boy was no less surprised when they were all suddenly engulfed in a cloud of smoke. As if it hadn't already been dark in the basement, this cloud obscured everything. He couldn't even see his own hand in front of his face anymore.
"Gah!" Came a shout.
"Ren!" Sora recognized.
"No! Sto—
"Nora!"
Sora then felt his hood get grabbed, swift movements from whoever owned that hand brought him out of the cloud of smoke. Finally regaining some sight, he realized it was Pyrrha who grabbed him. The girl let him go when they were finally clear of the smokey trap.
"Pyrrha, what happened to Ren and Nora?" Sora asked desperately.
The girl had a morbid look, shaking her head she said. "I couldn't stop them. I faintly saw two organization members grab them and pull them into this strange portal-like opening. It vanished before I could follow."
"Damn!" Sora stomped his foot.
"LOOK OUT!" Pyrrha pushed Sora out of the way, rolling to the opposite side to dodge more incoming dark nails.
"Pyrrha Nikos." Said the voice again, Pyrrha hearing metallic footsteps approaching from the smoke. A small blast of energy eradicated the sight binding blur, giving way to revealing a smirking figure.
Mercury.
The lights in the basement flashed on a second after, giving the warriors clear vision on the enemy before them. Yet he didn't look any less menacing, in fact, that's when they could actually see wisp of darkness coming off his shoulders.
"Mercury!" Sora growled. "You again."
"Sora." Mercury acknowledged. "Glad you came; I've been bored out of mind waiting for you."
"Where is Jaune!?" growled Sora again, demanding an answer. He readied his Bond of Flame, he beat Mercury easily before, this time would be no different."
"Oh, the blonde guy?" Mercury smirked, shoving his hands into his pockets casually. "He's gotta be somewhere around here. Most likely nursing all the injuries we gave him."
Pyrrha flinched.
"Tell us where he is!" Sora approaching the older boy, ready to beat him senseless to get the answers he wanted.
"Hmm…" Mercury put a finger to his chin. "Ah I remember. You actually just passed him."
Sora stopped. "What?"
"He was in the room right next to you…well, before you fell through the trapdoor anyway." Mercury finished, readying himself into his combat stance. "But that's not important…what's important now is our rematch."
"Rematch?" Sora grumbled; he got ready to take him on. "I barely even recall our last one being an actual fight."
Mercury smirked with infuriation.
Their eyes were locked, each boy ready to destroy each other with all they had. Sora charged a fireball into his hand, ready to unleash triple Firaga as a distraction. Then defeat Mercury quickly with Ars Arcanum.
He shot the successive spell at his foe; Mercury was ready to block it. But someone beat him to it.
Pyrrha.
Sora gaped. "Pyrrha! What are you doing!? Why did you stop my attack?"
The girl didn't even face him, she looked only at Mercury. Rage was in her expression and even Mercury found himself wary. "Sora…please go on ahead, find Jaune for me. I'll keep the Mercury person busy."
Was she serious!? Sora couldn't believe it! "Pyrrha, there is no time for this! We have to—
"I'm not as strong as you." Pyrrha interrupted.
"What?"
Pyrrha drew Milo, Akouo already on her other arm. Intense energy already filling her up. "I'm not as strong as you are. That is why you must go ahead! It gives us better chances of saving Jaune."
Sora just stared. "But Pyrrha—
"Please Sora!" The girl yelled, Sora flinching in surprise as she looked at him for a brief moment. Her eyes remained strong and battle ready, her expression was unwavering. Yet small tears lied in the corners of her eyes, tears that pleaded with him.
"Please…save him. Bring him back to me."
Sora wanted to argue. But he was weak against the indomitable will that was known as Pyrrha. Some would have seen her tears as weakness, but Sora would never see it that way. He saw those tears as someone who loves her friends and teammates with all her heart, someone willing to lay down her life on the spot if it was to save them. Sora suddenly felt a surge of energy in his heart. It wasn't an unfamiliar feeling, yet it made him completely understand Pyrrha's wishes.
He turned away from her, walking calmly away. "I will. I'll definitely bring him back. But I expect something in return Pyrrha…"
The girl readied herself to combat Mercury, the antagonist watching with anger as Sora walked away from their match.
"Of course." Pyrrha nodded. "I already know."
Sora chuckled. "Really? Well, I'll say it anyway…"
Pyrrha's spear glowed with brilliant Aura and she reared back, ready to run it through Mercury. She heard Sora's last word, it echoed through her brain and it only further her already powerful emotions.
"Win."
Sora raced up the stairs and out of Mercury's sight. Mercury ready to chase after him. He skidded to a stop when Milo came zooming past his him. Slicing his nose and leaving a small cut. He barely dodged it in time when Pyrrha rammed at him with Akouo. He quickly kicked off her shield and landed a few feet back.
"You'll not make it past me." Pyrrha said, almost roaring.
Mercury was ready to snarl at the girl. "Fine. I guess the Invincible Girl will be enough for now."

Rolling to the side, Ren dodged an incoming strike from the new foe before him.
From how Weiss had described it, this girl was one of the warriors they fought back in Briel. Emerald.
The girl sure was dangerous. She used a pair of strange-looking revolvers that could transform into short sickles. Not only that, it could also change into dual kusarigama, which she whipped around in a fashion not unlike a certain cat Faunus.
Even so, her combat style was very unpredictable. She often changed back and forth between her weapon's forms, giving Ren no time to change his style to suit whatever he needed.
All in all, this was one enemy Ren was not too happy fighting.
Emerald chuckled. "Is that the best you can do?"
She swung at Ren with her weapon in sickle form, firing off shots at her opponent only to have the blocked. Ren would retaliate, both fighting in similar manners with their weapons. Banging metal and the popping of dust bullet shells was rampant, both warriors taking every opportunity to land a deciding blow.
But the duel was still beginning; there would be no quick winner.
Now the field they fought in was definitely less than favorable. Either this room of the warehouse had been destroyed by these Organization characters for this purpose. Or this was a result of the attempted demolition of the building; hence the wrecking ball cranes outside.
It didn't matter which. All Ren knew as there was rubble everywhere! Ranging from small to large, to outright gargantuan!
Running proved to be very difficult in on this uneven ground, some rubble even proved to cause serious injury if one ever fell on them. Ren was lucky he hadn't…
So far.
The boy flipped back to dodge a slash from Emerald, he unleashed a flurry of kicks at his foe's torso. The female was able to block them all! She grabbed his ankle and swung him over her shoulder, Ren was able to right himself in midair and land on his feet. He leaned back to avoid a potentially lethal slash, then counterattacked with a flurry of Stormflower's bullets.
While she blocked a few of them Emerald was still grazed with a few of them, eliciting a hiss of pain as she went back onto the attack.
Well, she attempted to.
Ren however had other plans. With a time feint by his left hand, Ren successfully struck Emerald's abdomen with a crushingly powerful Aura infused palm strike. The echoing sound of a small explosion shocked the air before Emerald was sent crashing through an upturned block of cement. The rubble crashing down onto her.
Actually that's a lie; she quickly opened up a corridor of darkness below her and teleported away.
She reappeared a few feet away from Ren, holding her stomach as she glared at him.
"You lucky prick…" she seethed.
"Will you tell me where Jaune is?" Ren asked calmly, though he still felt the sting from some of his injuries.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Emerald rolled her eyes.
Ren gritted his teeth. "Fine then, I'll just have to force you to talk."
"Oh you can try."

"Melanie who is this girl?" Miltia asked as she readied her claws.
"I dunno Miltia but we should teach her a lesson." Melanie said boredly.
Nora grunted. After having been grabbed in the plume of black gas, she found herself in a completely different part of the warehouse. This was only worsened by the fact that she was now facing two very skilled and dangerous opponents. All while her full strength was only at about half.
Luck of the draw I guess?
The orange-haired maiden dodged to the left, avoiding a claw swipe from Miltia. For a girl that seemed very timid and withdrawn, she was very quick and opportunistic. Her twin Melanie came at her with a flurry of bladed kicks that forced Nora backward as she tried to counter. She found her chance in punching Melanie in the gut, then striking her back with the head of Magnhild.
Her sister came back with a deadly combo of attacks, Nora hastily dodging and weaving to avoid them. Miltia jumped backward, and then launched herself forward while spinning. Giving her the properties of a high speed drill. Nora quickly moved to the side. But she was too late to avoid Melanie's kick, which sliced her leg.
"Agh!" Nora cried in pain, losing her balance.
But her enemies were not going to pity her, no, they were far from that.
"Finish her Miltia!" Melanie ordered.
"Sorry." Came from Miltia softly, appearing right in front of Nora. The girl swiped her claw down to the girl's neck, intent on lopping her head right off.
Nora wasn't about to let that happen.
Nora quickly leaned to the side, dodging the fatal blow. Then she swept Miltia off her feet with an aura enforced leg sweep, learned graciously from Ren. But Nora didn't stop there. While Miltia was still in the air from the sweep, Nora grabbed Magnhild and struck her full force! Made only more powerful when she amplified the blow with a detonation of her trademark pink dust!
WHAM! CRASH!
Miltia was sent through the opposite wall, the mere sound of hammer meeting flesh was frightening even to Melanie. While she knew her sister wasn't dead, she was very certain it would take a few minutes for her to get back up.
The girl folded her arms and sighed. "I swear…this whole Keyblade wielder business if really getting on my nerves…" Though it seemed like she was talking more to herself than anyone else.
Nora tightened her grip on Magnhild, not taking her eyes off her opponent. The room around her was also very different from the lower basement she was just in. The ground was solid, yet grainy with a black dust or something. She figured it was just a very dirty room, seeing as this warehouse has been abandoned for so long it made sense.
But why fight here?
Something about these twins and this room gave her chills, as though she'd fallen into some sort of trap. Yet nothing has happened so far, if there really was a trap, they'd have exploited it by now.
Wouldn't they?
"…we don't have to fight." Nora suggested."I'll even let you go…just tell me where Jaune and my friends are."
Melanie simply sighed. "Yeah I could do that. But it's out of my hands so too bad." Melanie entered a stance. "It'll me and my sister's head if we don't kill that Keyblade wielder…and find that damn Nobody too."
Nobody? Does she mean… Nora began thinking. Unfortunately her train of through was cut short.
The girl barely jumped out of the way when a spire of a solid cold substance shot out from under her, tearing through the ground as it did so. The spire was huge, and if she hadn't been paying attention, it would have torn right through her. Nora tried not to imagine it.
That's when she looked back at Melanie.
Right now the long haired twin was radiating a cold black energy, her heels having grown extra lades on them, burnt black like the spire. Nora suddenly realized that she was about to get much more dangerous.
"Bet you didn't know that all nobodies are born with a specific ability." Said Melanie, a cruel smirk growing on her face. It definitely didn't seem like her, almost like an inner wickedness was sprouting out after releasing this new power.
"Some are typical, such as wind or lightning…" Melanie continued, the area around them becoming colder.
Nora jumped to dodge another spike; she landed and slid down the object straight toward Melanie. She reared her hammer back with her strength and smashed it right into the body of Melanie.
Only for the girl to shatter.
What?
Nora felt her hair get grabbed. In a split second she was thrown backward, flying and crashing right into the ice pillar she slid on. Luckily it wasn't the sharp tip, or that would've been her end. She rubbed the back of her head in pain, feeling a small headache coming on as she tried to make sense of whatever was happening. She felt cold…
Wait…cold?
"That's right." Melanie said, seemingly reading her thoughts. "My attribute is ice, or rather, dark ice. Two elements representing cruelty, it's almost fitting."
This was very different Melanie than she was fighting before. This one held the smirk of a psychopath; it was like she had no control of herself. It was not unlike another Nobody that lost control during a state of heightened power.
Nora stood at the ready, prepared to take on her now stronger opponent with everything she has. And it would take everything she has, she knew that firsthand. She just hoped that by the end of this fight, she'd be still in one piece.

"GAH! How many flights of stairs are there!?"
True to his word, Sora was experiencing a difficult time navigating the corridors of the warehouse. No he wasn't lost, it was merely that fact that the amount of floors he'd successfully cleared was definitely more than twenty.
This upset him greatly.
Having passed what he assumed to be the twenty fourth floor, Sora stopped for gracious breath and leaned on his knees. He thanked Monty and Nomura above for glorious breath, praying he'd find his way to Jaune soon.
"Where in the world could I possibly be going?" Sora scratched his head. "The drop down to the basement wasn't a long one; no way could we be so far down…"
Sora cleared his head of troubling thoughts, continuing up as he resolved to meet his escape.
Then ten minutes passed.
"I SWEAR THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!"
Sora was now lying against the stairs, having passed more than fifty flights of stairs, he still had no idea what was going on! What was going on? No way this warehouse had more than fifty floors built deep in the earth, that's just impossible! Perhaps he's going forward instead of up? No, the stirs are a straight way up and spiraling at that. There should be no way he's going anywhere but up.
He groaned, clearing his forehead free of sweat. "Man…I feel like I'm back in Zexion's illusions…"
….
An illusion…
Could that be it?
Sora scrambled onto his feet immediately; drawing his Keyblade he cut a deep slash into the wall. It would be obviously noticeable to anyone who passed it.
Then the boy proceeded to run up the next flight of stairs, hoping his guess would be right. Sure enough…
"So this is an illusion…" Sora rubbed the same slash mark. "But by who? Zexion is gone…could it be one of the other Organization members here can cast illusions too?
That's when Sora saw the literally air and space around him began to distort. Almost like ripples in the matter of existence, the area around him slowly began to fall apart. Its fake constructions fading away as it gave way to the real picture of where Sora was.
Just near the entrance of the warehouse.
In fact, if he had taken only a few more steps, he'd have left the warehouse.
"Were they trying to get me to leave…?" Sora questioned. "Why?"
*cough*
Sora heard that, a cough? From a faint voice his supposed. Following it he found himself running down the opposite hallway, many objects strewn around the room yet Sora ignored them. He listened to the faint sounds of coughing intently, following them to the best of his ability. The coughs got louder, either because he was getting closer or because whoever was making them was only coughing harder.
That's when Sora stumbled across the small empty room to his right. The hall ended just a few feet away from that but otherwise there were no other entrances or openings in that hall.
This was one strange warehouse.
The boy readied Bond of Flame, slowly inching toward the door. He was prepared to attack at a moment's notice, whether they were Nobodies, Heartless or Grimm. He'd take them all out. It could even be a trap…but still, no pain no gain.
Sora pushed the door wide open.
Sitting at the end of the room, tied and bound by magic chains…
Jaune.
"Jaune it's you!" Sora happily exclaimed. "I finally found you!"
"Sora…?" Jaune said weakly. His face sported a few injuries, black eye, a busted lip, a cut on his cheek. A gash on his forehead, the blood having come from it already dry.
Sora gritted his teeth; it was bad enough the Organization had to kidnap him. But torture him too? Never did Sora think those enemies of his could get any eviler. He immediately unbound Jaune and began healing his bruises.
"Is…is Pyrrha…?" stammered the Knight.
"She's okay." Sora assured him. "Caught up in a fight right now, but she'll pull through. We all came here to rescue you. After I'm patching you up we'll find everyone else and get outta here."
Jaune's head lowered, his lip was quivering slightly. He was happy, he was so happy that everyone was so concerned for him. So happy that they abandoned the mission to come look for him, and were so willing to come rescue him from the Organization.
And yet, he was so mad.
With a grunt of rage, Jaune pushed Sora off of him. Sora bonking his head on the floor painfully. "What the—
"Leave." Jaune said.
Sora simply stared in shock. "W-what?"
"I said leave!" Jaune snapped angrily, white aura blazing off him for a moment. "I never asked you all to come rescue me! You should get Pyrrha and the others out of here while you have the chance!"
"Jaune, what are you talking about!?" Sora argued. "We all came here to find you! We aren't leaving until you're back—
"You think I want to go back!?" Jaune was furious now. "Don't make me laugh! I don't belong with you guys! I don't belong at Beacon! If I had to fake my transcripts to get in, then its obvious I'm not worthy!"
Fake transcripts?
It made perfect sense Sora quickly realized. Jaune was nowhere near the skill level of any other student in Beacon. It surprised Sora that he was even there sometimes; it had made him wonder what hidden talent he had that merited his attendance there. But why bring this up now?
"Jaune that's not important now! You're our friend; we can't just leave you behind!" Sora approached the boy, holding out his hand.
Jaune swatted it away. "No, I'm not going. Now leave me alone." The boy slumped back against the wall, seemingly too tired to even continue arguing.
"What is the matter with you Jaune? What in the world are you thinking?" Sora was doing his best to change his mind. "Do you even know what you're doing? How its gonna make Pyrrha feel? Don't you know that she—?
"Shut up!" Jaune yelled. "Don't talk to me about Pyrrha! She's the greatest, most wonderful and amazing person I've ever met! I've felt bad enough being the dimwit partner that slows her down!"
His eyes hardened. "Then you came along."
Me? Thought Sora.
"Ever since you arrived, I've only felt worse about myself." Jaune admitted, tears welling up in his eyes. "You symbolize everything I want to be. You're incredible powerful, surpassing must Huntsman by miles! You're kind to all and everyone adores you! Worship you! You're a hero!"
Then his eyes softened. "But I'm not."
Sora felt a lump in his throat. He didn't know how to respond.
"I've seen the Pyrrha looks at you. You have her awe and undying respect, the way you make her laugh. You two are right for each other…she deserves a strong warrior like you. Not a wimp like me." Jaune's tears flowed freely now, Sora could feel all the anguish and pain the boy was experiencing. It broke his heart to say this poor blonde in such a state.
And when you came, it hurt my pride.
That heart-to-heart conversation with Weiss not too long ago, Sora remembered the frustrated expression on the girl's face. The honest words she spoke, believing herself to be weak and incomparable to him.
Was that the effect he was causing here on Remnant?
"Jaune…" Sora tried. "Listen…Pyrrha and I aren't…"
Jaune chuckled, obviously not hearing Sora. "I even came here with only my sword to try and fight four Organization members? How lame can I get? It was all because I wanted to be a hero and protect Nora's nobody from them…"
Wait a second.
"Jaune…Nora's Nobody? She asked for your help?" Sora got a bad feeling in his throat.
Jaune nodded sadly.
Sora's eyes were wide. But that doesn't make sense! Why in world would—
"SORA!" Jaune cried out loud.
But it was too late; Sora had no time to free himself when someone pushed him into a portal of darkness.
He was gone.
The one who pushed him? None other than Valkyrie herself.
Jaune was taken aback, simply staring at the girl. "Nora…"
The girl punched Jaune directly in the face, knocking the boy out cold. The boy fell to the floor limp; he would not be waking up for quite awhile.
Valkyrie smirked, cracking her knuckles with glee. "You played your role well Jauney…thank you so much for bringing your friends here."
She stretched out her arms, as though just waking up. "I must admit, it worked out well. Now these idiot Organization guys are duking it out with your teammates. It'll either be one side or the other that survives, either way that's one problem fixed."
The raised her hand to opened another dark corridor. Then an assassin nobody appeared before her.
My lady…everything is ready.
Valkyrie smirked. "Good. Then you may take them to Vale, destroy Beacon."
Yes my lady.
Valkyrie smiled happily, glancing once back at Jaune. Memories of her friends entered her mind, and she was almost overcome with regret.
Almost.
"Well I'd love to stick around and keep you company Jauney." She cackled. "But I've got a date…"
She turned and headed right to the open portal.
"With one spiky-haired Keyblade Wielder."
GOOD LORD SO MUCH WRITING!
This chapter would have been longer but I was rushing to get it out today so here it is!
We have now gone over a good few major plot points. We now know who is fighting who, Sora now knows Jaune strife.
And we know that Nora plans to destroy Beacon.
Reasons people.
But we still don't know what she meant by what 'really' happened back when Nora's heart was taken? Do any of you know? Feel free to PM me with your best guesses!
Ah yes, now that VOLUME 2 of RWBY is over. I've been considering putting all the new characters that appeared into this story. Neo, Neptune, Team CFVY and other such things! Do you guys think I should? And how would I implement them? If you have any ideas please feel free to let me know!
No Omake this time cuz this chapter already took up much of my computer time. Besides that, please check out my other story The Wind and the Darkness. It's a story of an OC of mine and also a prequel to the story The Valean War by SavageDandelion!
That's all for now!
Till next time!
