Prompt 35: Wedding
All the trees and flowers were in bloom, painting the landscape with brilliant colors and filling the air with sweet aromas. Spring had always been Terran's favorite time of year, so of course he would marry in that season.
He was standing on the altar, awaiting his beloved. His mother and brother were in the front row, both weeping with joy. He beamed at them. Kun was standing beside him, winking. His best man!
Ah, and there was his bride, coming down the aisle. Strange that her family wasn't present, and that she was walking alone. But no matter, he was still happy as could be. Suddenly a priest appeared, and his bride was standing beside him.
He must have blacked out for a second.
"You may kiss the bride," said the father.
Terran, positively beaming, reached up and tossed back the veil. A scream of terror ripped from his throat.
His bride puckered up. "It is destiny, my love! I told you I'd wait for you~"
Terran bolted upright in the darkness, clutching at his chest and panting. "Oh," he sighed, dropping back onto his sleeping bag. "Just a nightmare..."
And he promptly drifted off to sleep again.
