Artemis woke up nursing a headache as she decided that a few days was no where near enough time to recover from fighting Deathstroke. unfortunately she didn't have much of a choice as despite her school being closed for the last week for maintenance but it reopened today and that meant she had to go. on top of a pounding in her skull the other thing on her mind was Batgirl, she knew who she was and now she was after Richard's identity all because of a slip up on her part and with him out of school this would cause problems if she was watching. She hoped for his sake that he had some type of excuse worked out.

As Artemis walked to school she texted Richard :You have a plan right?:

Nearly immediately he replied :Me? Plan? You severely overestimate me:

She let out a sigh in frustration :B-girl is looking into your identity. already knows who i am. figure something out: she replied.

After a moment of silence her phone pinged again :Don't worry it's been taken care of:

She put her phone back in her pocket she still had a few blocks to go before she reached the school. Her mind wandered, Richard had fought Deathstroke as in RICHARD who was small and quick and a smart mouth but largely harmless had fought DEATHSTROKE who was evil and powerful and DEATHSTROKE. Whats more was that girl, Artemis was predisposed to hate anyone who got her friends hurt but that girl was something else. Artemis hated everything about her, her secrets, her purple hair, her stupid forehead gem

Most of all the thing the pissed Artemis off the most was that she was a cold hearted bitch, sure she helped but she didn't seem to care when her Richard had almost died protecting her. They all had secrets but this bitch took the cake, i can't tell you who i am, why i'm here or what i'm doing but trust me it's important. Also why was she so damn clingy towards Richard, he was past the healing point and into the physical therapy point so why the hell did she constantly have to be on his ass, it's like she was attached at the hip.

As Artemis silently seethed a long black limo pulled up beside her and slowed to a crawl, she was immediately aware the it was watching her and her muscles tightened ready to pounce. When the door opened however she was greeted by a shy smile and a tangled red mop of hair accompanied by another Artemis didn't know "hey Artemis, want a ride" she offered.

"sure, thanks" Artemis replied the muscles in her body relaxing one by one while she stepped inside the car.

The girl next to Barbra offered an hand to Artemis "i'm Bette"

"Artemis" she responded flatly taking the hand and shaking it

Barbra noticed this and asked "Something wrong Artemis"

"what makes you ask that" Artemis replied trying, but failing, to be polite.

"don't take this the wrong way but you seem... tense" Barbra responded not wanting to piss her off any more than she already was.

Artemis took a deep breath and let out a long drawn out sigh in an attempt to relax "just... personal stuff"

"you can tell me anything, Artemis, i won't laugh and whatever happens in this car stays between the three of us right Bette?" Barbra said turning to her friend.

Bette looked at Artemis for a moment, Appraising. the look in her eyes gave Artemis pause before a glint flashed across them and a smirk graced her face "who is he" she asked looking so smug.

"What?" Artemis replied shocked.

"Who is he" Bette said again calmly, "you know, the guy. i suppose it doesn't matter but either jump his bones or get rid of him, whoever he is he's messing with your head" she finished taking a brief disinterested look at her fingernails.

Artemis for her part looked at Bette incredulously speechless. when the car pulled to a stop Bette shot Artemis a smug glance while Barbra was marveling at the fact that Bette was still breathing.
