It's Christmas time! (Sorry for the chapter taking longer than expected)

I believe that I'm not the only person that's sick of Christmas songs by the week of the actual holiday, because of other people singing them in the middle of October...I love the holiday, I do, but wait for the actual month people!

P.S. Don't forget questions for the 50th chapter, they can either be for myself or any of the Soul Eater cast. The more questions the better!

37) Holiday Cheer

"Oh, the weather outside is frightful and the fire's-"

"Will you shut up?" Kid snapped, slamming the cookie tray in his hands on to the table. "You have been singing that since November and it doesn't even snow in November!" Kid removed his oven mitts and placed them next to the tray.

"Whatever you say, Scrooge." Black-Star chuckled and reached for a cookie.

"Do not call me that." Kid said as he slapped the other boy's hand away. "I just took those out of the oven, you idiot and I'm not in the mood to listen to you cry about burning your hand because you're too impatient to wait five minutes for them to cool off properly."

"You could just kiss the burn to make it better." Black-Star said with a smirk and leaned towards the young shinigami.

"Bah-humbug." Kid put his hand on the star's face and pushed him away when the doorbell went off. Kid went over to the door and opened it, straightening out his now red blazer first, of course.

"Merry Christmas!" Maka and Soul cheered together, both of them holding several boxes.

"Hello, come on in." Kid took a step back to allow the two teens to enter the house. "You can put your presents under the tree over there, Patty, Liz and Tsubaki will be back any minute now with the gingerbread and there is also some food in the kitchen, don't touch the sugar cookies though, I just-" Black-Star shouted a curse from the kitchen. "-took them out of the oven." Kid let out a sigh. "I told you they were hot Black-Star!" He went into the kitchen and Soul and Maka shared a laugh as they listened to Kid rant at the star about being patient and how he ruined the symmetry of the perfectly circled cookie.

"This place gets crazier every year." Maka giggled as she set her boxes down on the ground along with many others.

"It's the same, you just notice new things every Christmas." Soul said and placed his boxes next to Maka's.

"The tree looks different though."

"True." The two looked at the over-sized black and blue star that stuck out of the top of the tree and an ordainment that had a picture of Black-Star and Kid standing together hung right below it.

"Looks like Black-Star helped decorate the tree." Maka muttered and the two started laughing again.

"I hate snow!" The door swung open and Liz entered the house with a bag hanging from the crook of her arm and snow melting on her body.

"It's a white Christmas!" Patty cheered, following her sister with Tsubaki tagging right behind her.

"The gang's all here." Black-Star chuckled as he and Kid rejoined the rest of the group in the living-room.

"Should we decorate the gingerbread house first or open presents?" Tsubaki asked as she removed her jacket.

"Presents, presents, presents!" Patty chanted.

"Alright Patty, we'll do presents." Kid couldn't hide a small smile at the over-hyper girl.

"Yay!" Patty sat down, crossed-legged on the ground in front of the tree. "Can you pass out the presents Kid? It'll be fun!" The younger Thompson sister sang. Kid shrugged in agreement and soon began to hand out the presents that were stacked under the tree. Black-Star joined him a minute later, getting bored of waiting.

"Is that all of them?" Maka asked, playing with the ribbon on the present that rested in her lap.

"There's one more." Black-Star went behind the tree and pulled out a small box. He took the box and handed it to Kid.

"Open it! Open it!" Patty demanded and sat on the couch between Liz and Tsubaki.

"Uh...okay." Kid's cheeks turned the same shade of red as his blazer. He opened the box and pulled out two star shaped cufflinks. "What..."

"Tsubaki helped me, I had no idea what the things that go on the end of your sleeves were called so she had to talk to the man." Black-Star admitted. "Do you like them?"

"You're an idiot." Kid chuckled and placed a quick kiss on the other boy's cheek.

"I'm opening my presents now." Maka said and ripped the wrapping off of the box.

For the next two hours the group of teens opened presents and talked about each and every one of them. Maka didn't know how to respond with everyone, except for Soul getting her a book of some kind. Soul had given his meister a necklace with a scythe on it, he received a large hug for it and his body still ached from it as he opened his own presents. A pair of sunglasses from Tsubaki, a fake gold 'grill' from Black-Star, A pack of new headbands from Liz and Patty, a watch from Kid and a simple kiss from Maka, she said she didn't know what to buy. Black-Star had coughed 'bullshit' into his hand. Patty received a stuff animal of some sort from everyone and Liz got makeup and nail polish, neither of them complained about it. Tsubaki loved her books, perfume and clothes from everyone. Kid stacked his pile of symmetrical pictures that had sets of two on the ground. Black-Star couldn't stop his laughing from the whoopie cushion Soul gave him, the new black shirt with sleeves from Maka, which made him laugh more since it caused Kid to say that it would cover his asymmetrical star. Liz and Patty gave him a stuffed monkey that was dressed like him and Tsubaki gave him a new pair of gloves since his old ones were wearing out.

"Didn't ya get me a gift Kid?" Black-Star asked.

"Time to decorate the gingerbread house." Kid said and started off towards the kitchen.

"Hey!" The star stopped the boy. "I got you something." He said in protest.

"You'll have to wait till everyone leaves." Kid said softly, but everyone heard him anyway.

"What does that mean sis?" Patty asked.

"Let's play with the gingerbread men." Liz suggested.

"Yay!"

I'm laughing too hard right now, what happened with Patty was pulling a total me! *Dies from laughter*

Merry Christmas!
