Rain: Hello everyone, Rain and here this is the last chapter before I close the poll. There will be a winner and only one winner. If there is a two way tie, I will go for the second place winner (In this case, Fū due to her being in second place). If a three way tie happens, I will not pair all three with Naruto. It would actually stay with Naru/Hina/Ino so let us hope there are no three way ties in this poll.

Why would I default back to the original pairing? Because if I add more than this one last person, my story will stagnate and I do not want that. I'm sorry for everyone who would want me to add all three women but I can't do that so vote well. Now, let's us begin.

Chapter Thirty-Five

"There…He's all set…"

Anko murmured as she placed Naruto's sleeping form on the bed, her body still soaking wet from the storm raging outside. After embracing him and feeling him cry for the first time ever, Naruto had fallen asleep against her wet body, much to her annoyance.

So doing what she needed to do as his sensei, she carried him all the way to the home they were all staying in with him in her arms and walked upstairs, making sure to ignore all the questioning looks from everyone.

As well as the fuming look from Hinata.

Anko knew that Hinata wanted to be the one to find him and console him and bring him back but she was still too injured from her battle with their new ally and they needed someone fast to look for him.

Once she finished tucking him into the bed, Anko patted the kid's head and said, "Sleep well Gaki," before rising up from the bed but as she was about to leave, she felt his hand touch her forearm, making her turn around to glance at him with confusion.

"Stay…" He whispered in a soft but weakened tone. Anko could easily say she was surprised by his request. She could have understood if he asked for his friends or anything like that but instead, he wanted her by his side while he slept.

Did she pass some mysterious test back out in the forest or something?

As much as she wanted to leave and dry herself off before sleeping the night away, she felt herself sitting back down on the bed and giving the genin a small smile, saying "Rest up Gaki…I'll be here."

Kami-sama almighty!

When the hell did she get so soft?!

She saw Naruto give her a tired smile before he drifted off to sleep but Anko continued to watch him as he slept. She truly didn't know what was going on with her. She may have eased up on her dislike for him but she shouldn't be treating him like this.

Letting out a small yawn, Anko could feel her eyelids growing heavy and without thinking about it, she laid down next to her sleeping student but as she laid there with tired, half lidded eyes, she found staring at his face. It looked so peaceful.

In all of her time training Naruto, she hadn't really gotten to look at him so close up so now that she had, she realized that he looked so unnaturally young. His face was as smooth as a baby's bottom and his cheeks were full and even a little rosy.

"Heh…Not a wrinkle on him…" Despite all the shit that he's probably been subjected to in his life before becoming a shinobi and even after it, the kid kept his boyish looks. Hell, the only blemish she saw on his face was that there was black ring marks beneath his eyes from the lack of sleep he had gotten.

As she continued to observe his face, her eyes suddenly found themselves staring at the marks on his cheeks. Ever since she had saw him, she had been curious about these. Where they real whiskers or were they scars?

Well, only one way to find out!

Slowly, she placed a fingertip against his smooth cheek where his whisker marks rested and lightly traced it from start to finish and suddenly, goose bumps formed under her finger as Naruto shuddered lightly, a faint blush forming on his face which caused her to smirk.

"So…Someone touching your whisker marks is pleasurable to you, eh Gaki?" She murmured as she filed this away into her mind in case she wanted to mess with him further.

She had a feeling that she was going to regret sleeping next to him but fuck it. She was utterly drained and needed the rest before she killed something.

Momochi Haku

"Haku,

Ever since we took this assignment, I felt that this would be THAT mission. The mission I had always talked to you about. The mission that would be my last and after the battle with the Gaki and his team, I can feel that feeling grow stronger as each hour melds into the next.

I…I still have so much to do, so much to say…So much to find. I've always dreamed that my death to be glorious. A vicious battle to the end between me and my opponent and after fighting the Gaki, I may have found that opponent.

Understandably, he is not the strongest or the fastest opponent I have faced but there is something I saw in him during his battle…Something I had not seen in a long time from any opponent I have faced before. Something that was familiar to me in every single way. Something, the reminded me of someone I had lost long ago.

She called it "Unyielding spirit"

Do you remember how I talked to you about this Haku? Do you remember how I wanted you to gain this kind of spirit. The spirit to never give up and never give in, to always give it your all and protect all that is dear to you, even if it meant sacrificing everything you had and not regret a damn thing you did to protect those you love?

In time, I have seen you gain this spirit during our many years together and first and foremost, I want to say that I'm proud of you.

You are everything I could ever ask for in a student, a companion and a daughter and I thank you for all that you have done for me during our years together.

Those years are something I would never regret or never trade for anything in my life. Now, onto the reason of this scroll. There was something else I had noticed in my battle with the gaki other than that special spirit and that is his bloodline, the Kioigan as well as something else….

I know that if you're reading this now then that means I did meet my end by the Gaki or some outside means but I know full damn well that I went out in a blaze of glory and if not…Then I might as well travel to hell and fight a real demon to get that glorious battle.

Regardless of which end I met head on, I cannot tell him myself what I'm about to tell you but not in this scroll but the one that's hidden in our room in that Gato bastard's hideout…

In that scroll, you will find out about my deepest secret along with a final mission of sorts from me to you but the trick is, the Gaki, Naruto will be the one to open this scroll with his blood….If he cannot, then I fear my final wish will never happen…."

As Haku finished the scroll that was in her hands, she let a small sigh form on her lips as she closed it. Haku had something in her hand that her father had given to her to give to Naruto but would the genin even bother to read it now? Since Anko had bought his unconscious form back to Tsunami's house during a thunderstorm, she had been pondering this.

"I have to tell him….I need to tell him…" Haku murmured to self, holding her father's scroll tighter.

But the question was…How could she show this to him when his sensei and the other Konoha shinobi won't let her near him? She didn't want to betray their trust and she understood why they didn't trust her. Just a week ago, she was their enemy, completely ready to kill them if her father had asked for it but she doubted that she could now.

Hinata had embraced her change in sides completely and almost immediately, the two had become close friends and Haku realized that having her by her side was a lot better than being alone but even Hinata would be questioning her motives if she suddenly went upstairs and said "Oh hey Naruto-kun, my father wanted us to retrieve a scroll that was for you in our old hideout in Gato's palace."

That…Wouldn't have ended well.

Regardless, she had to finish her father's final request at any cost.

Taking a deep breath, Haku glanced at the stairs and summoned up her courage and began her trek up it, deciding to talk to Naruto's sensei despite how late it was now.

Mitarashi Anko

Anko had gotten into a deep sleep with Naruto laying beneath her when the door was opened and the voice of Haku could be heard saying "Anko-san, I know you just got in but I need to speak…With…You?"

Lazily, Anko lifted her head and gave the very surprised Haku a lazy look before shrugging and asking the Hyōton user "Sure, what you want?"

Haku glanced at the unconscious Naruto for a moment before making her way deeper into the room until she was standing right next to the bed and handed Anko the scroll. Turning her body away from Naruto, Anko took the scroll and read it and once she was done, Anko returned it to the girl's hands while saying "So is this you asking us to go to Gato's hideout to reclaim this scroll for Naruto?"

Seeing Haku nod, Anko tilted her head and glanced at the sleeping blond shinobi beside her. What the hell did Zabuza know about a kid he hadn't met before until this mission? Anko then turned back to the girl and shrugged again, saying "Alright, you've been upfront about everything since Zabuza's death and even before then so I guess we can do this request for the two of you."

She could see the joy and relief shine in Haku's eyes when she told the girl this and decided to add "If this is a trap however…I will not hesitate to kill you where you stand."

"There will be no need," Haku said cheerfully while bouncing to the door happily before turning around to give a quick bow, saying "Thank you for understanding."

Once again, Anko shrugged.

"That's just the bitch I am. All understanding of other people's problems." And with those words, Haku gave her a bright smile before walking out of the room, leaving the semi-awake Anko alone with the sleeping Naruto.

Yawning, Anko turned back around to face Naruto and slung an arm around his sleeping form before letting out another yawn and moving close to him, grumbling "G'night kid…" before drifting off to sleep.

The kid made for a good teddy bear.

Rain: And that is where I'm ending it for now. Now despite Anko sharing a bed with him, nothing romantic is going down between them because its far too early for it and plus the poll is still open for three more days so vote away guys! Also, a little bit of fanfic plugging.
