"That thing is your family? What's the matter with you!" Cinder yelled.

The creature growled back at Cinder setting the rabbit down it drove forward at the kit trying to nip at her. She bolted back away from it terrified out of her wits, her tail fluffed up and her ears back. The cat came forward to block the thing`s progression and did more angry yips at it pushing it back.

"Sorry. He didn't like that."

"He didn't like that! Are you even listening to yourself right now? That thing is not your family! Now get away from it before-"

"There you are, Cinder."

Out of the bushes came Sand, padding up to her, the other cat nowhere to be found. Sand came forward and walked right beside the creature without a glance to it to stand next to her.

"I am sorry about intruding…. Whatever you and your brother was doing, Lark. This is a new addition to Smoke`s kin. We were showing her the dogs, so i'm sorry again if she caused any trouble."

Lark eyes narrowed at Sand, "Keep track of kits, Sand." Then she padded away with the fox trailing her them yipping at each other.

"What was that?" Cinder whispered.

"That`s Lark. She is one of Smoke's `special` cats. She apparently was found by a fox pack when she was a kit and raised by them. To her that fox is her brother, she walked from her pack willingly when Smoke offered her a home."

"But doesn't that thing hunt cats?"

"Well I guess they are supposed to but he doesn't care about cats it seems like."

"She is able to just walk around with it and do whatever she wants?"

Sand shrugged, "Pretty much, now come on we still need to see what you can do."

What is wrong with these cats?! Having dogs and a fox living right next to them and not caring at all? What if these creatures decide they have a thirst for cats blood?

Thoughts still on the fox and the eyes of the dogs they walked through the forest again before they stopped at a clearing. They wanted her to show if she has any fight moves, within one fight with Sand they both were disappointed in her. Saying that any kit her size and age can do twice as better and they would have more work to train her.

Then on the way to camp they heard some prey in the bushes and had her hunt it, but with the disappointment she pretrained for fighting skills she didn't even notice it before it ran away. Sand was highly upset after that, muttering to the older cat why Smoke even let this pathetic kit in camp at all, it would be easier to just kill her and feed it to the dogs.

She was so depressed with what she couldn't do and what they were saying about her she raced to camp when it was in eyesight a ran straight into the den and fell into her nest.
