Kento and Ryo watched Talpa, the Warlords and Talon as they left the throne room. The two of them pulled away from the peep holes and walked over to the far side of the wall by the door and slid down to the floor.

The orange Ronin frowned deeply, his hands clenched as his arms rested upon his knees. "I can't believe this Ryo. This whole situation is insane."

Ryo looked over at his friend, "I know, even with the new information we just overheard makes me think it might be better if we try and make a break for it before the others come to breach the Capitol."

Kento turned his attention towards Ryo, "Wait, not long ago you said we should hold out here until we knew for sure the others arrived. But now you're saying we should sneak out?"

The red Ronin frowned deeply, "I know what I said Kento. I've been thinking about it, and then with what they were talking about in the throne room, maybe it's better decision to leave. I don't want to be responsible for the others getting caught because of us."

"Ok I'm with you, but we'll have to wait for him to get back because he knows the tunnels better than we do." Kento pointed out as he reminded him.

"It's a risk but it looks like it's the best decision we have to work with for the moment." Ryo agreed. "How is your power level? Are you feeling any better since we've been waiting?"

"Not at full strength yet, but I'm getting there. So yeah, I'm starting to feel better. I'll be able to fight if necessary."

Ryo stood up as he gave a nod. He turned around and faced the door when he heard footsteps running towards the door.

Kento heard them as well and jumped up to his feet as he shifted into a fighting stance.

The two of them watched the door as it started to open. Their bodies tensed, ready to strike whoever came through the door.

The slave opened the door a bit more and stuck his head inside. "Hey it's only me. I just got back from giving the rebels information."

Kento and Ryo relaxed their stance and watched the slave as he entered the rest of the way into the room. "How are the others? What are they planning to do? Did they tell you anything?"

"For one, slow down. Your friends seem fine from what I could tell. A bit distraught from the news I gave them but when I tell you what they told me you'll understand what I have to explain to both of you better." The slave replied as he launched into the conversations he had with Rayne and the others. When he was finished telling them his news he studied the two Ronins.

"It looks like we're caught up with one another on what's going on with them and they with us." Ryo looked at the slave with a determined gleam in his eyes, "Kento and I are going to need your help in sneaking out of here. We understand how dangerous it'll be for you, but it looks like this would be the better option with everything we know."

The slave studied the two Ronins and sighed, "I figured you would decide to do this. Fine, but if we are going to sneak out, then you'll follow me the entire way and do what I say without question. Otherwise you can forget it. I'm risking my life in doing this for you."

Kento and Ryo looked at one another and nodded. Then they looked back at the slave. "Agreed. Just to let you know, Badamon went to test his influence over White Blaze and Captain Yamato. So we have no idea how long it'll take. Plus the Warlords and Talon are talking strategy with Talpa somewhere else for the moment. Since they seem to be busy, maybe now might be the best time to leave." Kento suggested as he pointed out the situation at hand.

"Fine, but please, be quiet. We don't need them to be alerted about us in the tunnels." The slave said as he opened the door and went through it.

Ryo and Kento followed the slave quietly through the door. The three of them kept alert as they walked through the underpass. It was hard to know who to trust within this tunnel system. They had to make sure there was no one else using them while they were sneaking through the tunnels. After a few more twist and turns, the three of them were arriving to one of the multiple exits.

The slave signaled for the two of them to stop. "Wait here, I'm going to see if the coast is clear." He left as soon as he said those words so he wouldn't hear the two of them argue about it. Going past a few statues, he stopped behind a huge bolder and leaned his back up against it. Taking a few deep breaths, he steadied his nerves and peaked around the corner. A few guards went past just as he yanked his head back into hiding. He breathed a quiet sigh of relief as he waited a few moments. The guards did not see him. He steadied his nerves again and took another look. He didn't see anyone and then glanced back at Kento and Ryo. Motioning them it was safe for them to join him.

It didn't take long for the two Ronins to catch up to the slave behind the bolder. "Ok, now which way."

"This is as far as I can take you. Do you two see the supply building across the street? Inside there is a trap door which leads to the other tunnels under the city. Follow them and you'll be meeting up with Rayne's recon team. They will take you to the rebel's lair to be reunited with your friends."

Kento looked at Ryo and gave a nod as he looked towards the slave, "Hey, thanks for your help. We appreciate it. We won't forget how you helped us."

"Yeah, yeah, just get going. You're wasting time talking to me here. I have to get back inside the Capitol." The slave said as he faced the way the three came from, "Just remember what I told you about where to go." He took a quick look around and started to make his way back.

Once Kento and Ryo saw the slave duck back into the Capitol's tunnel system, the two of them turned their attention towards the supply building. "Ready Kento?"

"Ready, let's do this!" Kento said as he felt a surge of excitement run through him.

Ryo gave a smirk and then did a quick look around as he signaled for Kento to follow him across the street. The two made it across just barely missing another set of guards crossing the street. Ryo and Kento stayed in place as they made sure no one else came in their general direction. Once they knew it was safe, the two of them opened the door and went inside. The search for the secret door didn't take very long since it was a small place. Ryo and Kento opened the latch and then entered. They made sure it shut all the way and locked it from the inside.

Kento and Ryo had to squint in order to readjust their vision. But once they did they could see down the dimly lit corridors. "Yeah, this is going to be so much fun."

Ryo shot him a look, "Would you rather have played dodge the guards until we found another way down here?"

Kento didn't say anything to Ryo's question, instead he brought his hand up to his chin like he was considering it.

"Are you serious? You actually had to think about it?"

Kento chuckled as he lowered his hand, "I'm only kidding Ryo. Let's get going, it's too bad he didn't say how far we should be walking down here before running into Rayne's recon team."

Ryo shook his head and the two of them started walking through the tunnels keeping their eyes out for anyone else who would be down in the passages.

A short time later the slave who lead Kento and Ryo out of the Capitol resurfaced. He snuck back inside and started to shut the door. He didn't hear anyone approaching from behind him.

"What do you think you're doing sneaking around here hmmm?"

The slave turned around and saw Talon standing in front of him. He could see the assassin wasn't going to be patient.

"Do I have to repeat myself? I really hate doing that, especially when I don't have to."

"No sir, I wasn't sneaking around. I was only completing my duties for lord Talpa."

Talon raised a brow, "Oh really? That's not what I heard from other slaves who were in the tunnels. They told me you were sneaking the two Ronins out of here. Now why would you defy your master?"

"What other slaves? We were the only..." The slave started to reply when he realized his slip of the tongue.

"We? Really? So you were sneaking them around the passages. I'm sure lord Talpa would find this bit of news interesting." Talon replied with a dangerous tone as he moved closer to him.

"It wasn't by choice! They forced me!" The slave exclaimed as he was trying to save himself.

Talon raised a brow as he scoffed at him, "I highly doubt they forced you into this situation. I doubt the commander would strong arm anyone to do anything they didn't want to. Unless maybe the one he was after pissed him off, then I could see him doing something along those lines."

"I told you..."

Talon cut him off, "You know, you are sure mouthy for a slave. I'm surprised lord Talpa or even Badamon didn't cut out your tongue a long time ago." He reached into his sheath and drew out his new dagger. Playing with the blade a few inches in front of the slave's face, he smirked while keeping eye contact.

The slave knew he couldn't back away from Talon because his back was already against the door. So he did the only thing he could do, he stood his ground.

Talon was slightly impressed, "You know, most of the people I come across usually run from me. I like a good chase when I'm hunting my prey. But you just standing there doesn't make it quite as fun for me. So, now I have to wonder what to do with you. Either kill you right here, or take you to lord Talpa, Badamon, or maybe one of the Warlords. Hmm, decisions."
