R&R :)
The vacation was further proven as a success when the girls went back to college with renewed energy; also Shelby's relationship with her daughter and Emily was in a much better place. On the last day of the spring break, Dani went to her parents' house to give them their gifts, tell them how great the time in Hawaii was and spend time with them. She brought the pictures and some of her drawings and tried to stop laughing long enough to tell a few of the more funnier stories. Rachel and Santana were glad to sit and listen to everything Dani shared with them, knowing their daughter enjoyed herself and is happy gave them great deal of joy.
Most of the month of April went by with no special events. Dani, Beth and Emily went back to college and the older people in the family were working as usual. Getting closer to the end of the month, Rachel, Santana and Quinn got ready for their trip to LA for Rachel to do the promotion for her movie. They booked the flights and hotel, Quinn got the interview detail and the mothers were organizing anything Riley might need. Noah already had a key to their place and knew how to take care of the dogs, so apart from thanking their friend, Santana and Rachel didn't have to worry.
On the morning of the flight, the married couple picked Quinn up from her place and Santana couldn't help herself from teasing her friends from being lovey-dovey as they said their goodbyes. She and Rachel always get it, she was happy to 'return the favor'. When Quinn got in the backseat, she gave Santana a soft slap on her head. Santana wanted to say something, but was silence by her son being excited of seeing his aunt.
The flight was rather short, about five and a half hours. Riley was clearly nervous and clings into Rachel. The mother quietly sang to him while rocking him in her arms. When they were in the air, she explained to him, again, what's going on and how much fun they're going to have. Riley cried only a little, when they begin to land, but it was his first flight and wasn't as hysterical as Santana and Rachel feared he would be.
Quinn, as the amazing manager she is, got a ride to wait for them when they arrive and shortly after they landed, the small group was checked in the hotel. They got two connected rooms and went to unpack quickly so they could go walk around as fast as possible.
"I don't know how I ended up in New York when LA exists." Santana wonders while pushing Riley's stroll. "It's so beautiful and warm."
"Because earthquakes happen here every other month." Rachel points out and unfolds her map to get a look at everything. "It sucks, Dani is making me take her back here in late July for that Comic Con thing." she mumbles while trying to find a site that they can go see. "I mean, not that I mind." Rachel chuckles.
Yeah, Santana doesn't think she'd be a fan of the earth moving under her or her family being in risk. She shakes her head to rid of these thoughts. "You get quality time with our daughter and go to a nerd convention, if that doesn't make you happy…" Santana smiles at Rachel for a few moments before turning her head back to the way they're walking.
"It won't be bad for your career; I bet you'd meet fans." Quinn adds. She always thinks how certain things will affect Rachel's career, after all it's her job and the woman is her best friend.
Rachel shrugs then folds the map back up and puts it in her back pocket. "Hey, we should go check the Walk of Fame." she suggests with a slight smile. "Just as a fun thing to look at, plus Riley can learn about some awesome actors… Right, buddy?" she leans forward a bit to look at her son who is still gazing around the sights in LA. "I think he agrees, in my head." she smiles some and stands straight once more.
"It's like mandatory when you come here, right?" Santana state more than question. "Is it far, babe?"
Rachel shakes her head. "About a block from here." she answers and reaches for her water bottle that's resting in the cubby part of Riley's stroller. "Think little man can handle it?" she asks.
"I do, look how curious he looks." Santana chuckles.
"On the way here he scared, but now he looks like he's enjoying sitting in the stroller while we walk around." Quinn says while glancing at the boy.
As they walked a bit further down the sidewalk, two people took notice of Rachel and quickly approached her at almost a fast speed. "Oh my god, you're Rachel Berry!" one person exclaims and almost bounces out of her shoes.
"Uh.. Y-Yeah, I am." Rachel gulped and raised a brow.
"She is prettier in person." the other fan whispers to her friend. "Like, we listened to that one interview you did like… A billion times." she says aloud.
"Which… One?" Rachel asks.
"The one where you talked about how hard you worked to get to where you are now." the other person moves closer to Rachel with a big smile. "And like, how you tackled being a mother to a broken child and stuff."
Rachel stepped back some, gulping nervously. "Look, I think you got that interview twisted…"
"You're so humble, that's why people love you, you do all the hard work and give credit to everyone else."
Rachel gulped again, now feeling nervous as the two fans kept approaching closer. "I.. I guess, thank you?" she says in hopes they would leave her alone right now.
"Could we get your autograph, please?"
Rachel looked at the concerned look in Santana and Quinn's eyes, and she knows Santana in a heartbeat will make Quinn tend to Riley while she took care of a couple people as long as Rachel asked. But Rachel is an adult, this is part of her life and she needs to take some control, right? "I'd love to, but I am here on business with my family, and I need to tend to them right now… If you want, tomorrow I will be at that talk show, and I will have a pre-show signing. I'll give you an autograph then, okay?" she asks and the two girls nodded in agreement. "Thank you." she says then moves past them, signaling Santana and Quinn to follow her.
Once they get around the corner and far enough away from the two fans, Santana gestures for Quinn to take Riley's stroller while she moves closer to her wife. She put a hand on her back and softly caressing her arm with her other. "Are you alright?" Santana asks calmly, even though, inside, her jealousy and protectiveness is bubbling.
"Y-Yeah.. I am fine." Rachel takes a couple deep breaths and nods a few times. "When we get back to the hotel room, I need to check every interview I've done since I started working on the movie… Just so I know exactly what I said." she gulps and looks to the ground.
"Rachel, I was either with you when you did the interviews or watched or read them later, I would've known if something came out wrong." Quinn tries to reassure her friend and client.
Santana looks from Quinn back to her wife and pulls Rachel closer to her. "Honey, don't over think it." She asks. "We're together in this beautiful city, it's a sunny day and we're here to enjoy it." She hugs Rachel with both her arms. "Riley is pretty excited, but he won't be if one of his mothers isn't feeling well.."
Rachel gulps and nods a couple times. "You're right… I should relax." she says with a slightly nervous smile. "Uh, down that way is the Walk of Fame… Let's check it out." she suggests quietly.
Santana pecks Rachel's lips, then takes the stroller from Quinn and resume walking. "Maybe we should get you a guard for tomorrow.." She says after a few steps. "You can arrange that, right, Q?"
The blonde sighs. "We talked about it how many times, Santana?" Her friend's jealousy is starting to bore her. "The network will have guards there when Rachel arrives and leaves."
"Quinn, you'll be fine with watching Riley in the green room while Santana is in the audience and I am doing my interview?" Rachel and Quinn did talk about that briefly but she wanted to be sure. "If not I can cancel my interview and we can just have a good time in LA with no responsibilities outside of Riley."
Quinn turns with a serious expression to Rachel. "You are not canceling anything." She states. "This is part of your job for the movie. How do you think it'd look if you just cancel? No, it's not a question whether to do it or not." She feels as if Rachel actually considering it, so she has to shut it down quickly. "I have no problem watching Riley and anyway, their question supposed to mainly focus on the movie, with a little bit about your life and future plans, nothing new."
Santana feels the urge to intervene, speak up for her wife, but it's not her place. Yes, it's her wife and friend, but they're talking business and that's not something she should get in the middle of. Well, unless Quinn gets too far and she has to take her down.
Rachel nods and purses her lips some. "Alright… Let's go." she says calmly.
After visiting the Walk of Fame, they decide to take Riley over to some play park that recently opened up. It was an.. Interesting experience as Riley wanted to swim in the ball pit the second his eyes gazed on them, and would try to crawl towards it any chance he got, which got thwarted by Santana, Rachel, or Quinn. But they did have a good time with Riley, and got to see that he has a new interest in trying to climb on things any chance he gets. Eventually, after a day of playing, it was time to wrap things up and head back to the hotel. Thankfully, Quinn arranged transportation with a baby seat inside and they were able to get back to the hotel before it got dark.
Inside the hotel room, Rachel and Santana had the TV on for Riley to watch, but he wasn't having any of that, no he wanted to crawl until he passes out from exhaustion. Quinn left her door open in case she was needed, and she assumed that Santana and Rachel wouldn't be doing the 'hibidy dibidy' since Riley is sleeping in the same room. Well, unknown to the blonde, Riley crawled into Quinn's room with happy grunts behind each movement. Quinn was taken aback by this but allowed Riley to continue to play around to his heart's content.
The next morning it was time for everyone to get ready, and fast because the schedule was rather tight. Rachel stumbled around to try to get the right outfit on for the occasion, which both Quinn and Santana kept telling her she looked fine in everything she tried on. 4 outfits in, and she was going to switch to a 5th one when Quinn yanked her away from the bathroom and lead her to the vehicle. It's a soothing drive to the studio where the talk show is, and Santana doesn't have any traffic to worry about so she can stay content with everything.
They get settled in the green room, which isn't actually green, it's pretty much like a waiting room but fancier and meant for the people who are guests on the show. Thankfully it was just her, so they could let Riley roam the room without fear of him getting into other people's stuff. Santana was a V.I.P guest so she was transferred to one of the front row seats. Quinn assured Rachel that everything was going to be okay, and that she and Riley were going to be watching on the TV that's in the room, giving her good vibes. That calmed Rachel down enough to get the confidence to go through with the interview. Then, the escort told Rachel it was time to head up to the stage. Quinn gave her a look that said 'Good luck' and 'You got this.' and held Riley close to her to help him wave to his mom. Rachel smiled at the sight and slowly walked out the door.
"I am pleased to welcome the leading actress on 'SuperWoman: Rebirth', Rachel Berry," The host standing up as he announces the guest.
A decently loud applause was heard the second Rachel stepped foot upon the stage, she smiles at the crowd and waves at them. When she sees her wife she blows a kiss towards her direction before walking over to one of the chairs and sits down.
"Welcome, Rachel, I am very to have you on the show." The host sits down as well, turning her body towards Rachel a little. "And you're here to talk about your upcoming movie. I've heard it's going to be a hit. Can you tell us about the experience of working on the movie? Was it stressful knowing many people have high expectations for it?"
"Well." Rachel clears her throat and pulls up each sleeve of her shirt, partially due to nervousness. "I think most of the pressure was on the idea that I started off in Broadway, so what did I do to deserve this role as opposed to someone more qualified." she says. "And those people that ask that question would be right in doing so, because I had no idea what I was going to get myself into emotionally and physically." she looks over at the woman. "So, long story short, yes it was very stressful." she chuckles.
"Yes, you were a big star on Broadway and you successfully made the transition to the big screen." The hosts points out and the crowd claps. "That must be an amazing feeling, right? You've came from a small place and made it own your own."
"I wouldn't say on my own, but I would say that I did work hard to get to where I am at today." Rachel says honestly. "I probably through people under the bus to get ahead, but that's how you survived in Broadway, it's the rougher version of acting in film." she purses her lips.
"You say Broadway is more 'cutthroat' than film, but that's your home. So what are you planning to do next, explore television maybe or go back to your roots?" The host asks and leans on the armrest a bit.
Rachel raises her brows and shrugs once. "I don't know, I mean, so far I've done nearly 200 shows on Broadway, had two TV shows, one that got me nominated for Teen Choice Awards' B.A Female Lead, I was in a video game, and almost two movies, one is still in production and one will be out next week." she leans in her seat. "So… I may go back to TV, maybe go back to Broadway, or stay in movies for a bit; it's all depending on where the road takes me."
"You seems to have motivation and I'm sure a lot of offers, since you're clearly very talented." the host adjusts in her chair. "I just can't help but wondering, a busy actress like you, how are you juggling your busy schedule and the family life? Especially with a new baby." The questions starting to get more personal, but that's what the public wants to know.
"Well…" Rachel gulps. "It's because of my wife and I's family that I am able to do this." she answers.
"You're an inspiration, Rachel Berry," The host says and the crowd cheers. "You took a homeless girl and gave her home, you came from nowhere and built yourself a career and now you have a second child and you're not stopping."
"I also didn't do it without the family that I had, and that my wife made bigger by letting me be hers." Rachel says, now her tone is more annoyed. "And you're right I am not stopping, I am continuing strong because my wife, my son, my daughter, they are the fuel that keeps me going." she stands up and moves some hair behind her ear. "Just a sec." Rachel lifts her index finger up and walks to the edge of the stage, carefully gets off of it and goes to where Santana is, of course the camera is following Rachel, but she doesn't care. "This lovely, flawless woman is my wife, and she makes me better in every way." she says and holds Santana's hands in her own.
You can say a lot of things about Santana, but shy she usually isn't one of them, but at this moment, she definitely is. Santana looks around, seeing everyone and all the cameras are following her. She sensed that her wife wasn't pleased with where the interview was going, but she has no idea what Rachel is doing now or how is it going to affect her career. She knows for sure that Quinn is about to faint in the green room and she's the one watching over their son. "Rach.." She whispers while keeping a small smile on her lips.
"Santana Lopez, right?" The host gets up and walks closer to the couple. "Rivals in high school to getting married.. Life ain't boring for you, Rachel." It's live television and though she's not sure what her guest is doing, it'd surely do well to the ratings.
"With her… It never is." Rachel gives Santana a small smile in return then, she gets on her knees and tries to scoot as close to Santana as she can, she rises up some and gives Santana a gentle kiss. Her thumbs grazing the back of Santana's hands while doing so.
"What is going on now, Rachel?" The host asks what Santana thinks. "Are we getting a proposal for renewing your vows?" At that, Santana shifts her face towards her wife with a nervous expression, ignoring the audience. She could never think of hurting Rachel, but she'd make her pay if she pulls something like that. "Or even after years together, you're just as in love as you were at the beginning?" The second part, for Santana, felt like it came hours later.
Rachel blinks slowly, she bites her lip. "She married me, and made me hers…" she says. "She's given me the world, and the least everyone else can do, if they cared any bit about me, is acknowledge this, and give Santana the praise she deserves for molding this broken girl from Lima into the actress you're seeing, on her knees in front of her wife." she slightly looks at the rest of them and takes a deep breath. "By the way, the movie is the last one I will do under the name 'Rachel Berry', from now on… I'm Rachel Lopez, and that's what I will go by. No hyphens, no workarounds." she announces loud enough for everyone to hear.
The crowd gets loud, cheering and clapping, a few even standing up. Santana wasn't expecting any of this and she's even surprised her wife got over how nervous she is to do something like that. Santana stands up, pulling Rachel with her, bringing her to a close embrace. "I can't believe you just did that." She whisper close to Rachel's mouth, but the cameras catch every word. "I love you so much." Santana is tearing up and pecks her wife's lips a couple of times.
The host, who thought she'd have to dig deep to find some gossip about the very private actress, waves the bit of shock away and announce again the piece of news Rachel shared for the first time on her show. It's not a scandal, but Rachel has a large following and with the upcoming movie, she's hot at the moment, so it'd make some noise.
"I love you too." Rachel whispers and continues to smile like someone put a clamp between her lips to make her smile. She slowly turns to face the interviewer, keeping Santana's hand in her own. "My wife, my kids, and my family are the reasons for my success, the reason why I go to these shows and talk for 15 minutes and listen for rest of the time I am on the show." she says. "As long as I got them, I'll keep making movies, doing plays, TV shows, video games, hell maybe a music album, just as long as I got them."
"You, two, are very lucky to have one another." The host tells them, then turns to the camera. "Ladies and gentlemen, if you ever wondered how true love looks like, you just got a glimpse of it from Rachel Lopez and her wife." She says and focuses back on the couple. "Any advice on how to make it work?" She asks and Santana stood still, completely lost in her wife's eyes, her heart still racing.
Rachel looks at Santana for a couple moments, taking a deep breath then looks at the host. "In a marriage, don't try too hard… They married you for every aspect of your person, screw ups will happen, same with anything else." she lets go of Santana's hand and approaches the steps to the floor between the audience and the stage and sits down on the top step. "It worked for me, and I'm a wreck." she says with confidence.
Santana might not agree with the term Rachel used to describe herself, she even makes a face, but she is so damn proud of how far Rachel got and how she keeps being blown away by how incredible she keeps getting. Santana feels lucky to be married to that woman and in her mind she's forming a speech she's going to give Rachel once they're alone in their hotel room.
"If Rachel says it, you know it's true because she figured the formula to have it all." The host sums it up. "We have to take a break, so I want to thank Rachel Lopez for being here and making us all craving that kind of love. Catch 'SuperWoman: Rebirth' in theaters next week. We'll be right back."
The escort helped Rachel and Santana over to the green room, and both women were kinda scared at how Quinn was going to react because of what Rachel had done. The door opens and Rachel and Santana slowly walk in.
"Hey, Quinn." Rachel slightly waves towards her friend.
"That's what you have to tell me?!" Quinn keep a rather quiet voice, for Riley's sake and because they're not alone, but the anger is evident in it. "You are so, so effing lucky you're getting good responses on social media. Don't ever pull a stunt like that again, not without letting me know first."
"Like I expected her to press the personal aspect of my life in this interview, the one that was only supposed to be about the movie." Rachel raises a brow and purses her lips. "And it needed to be said, I am just… I'm tired of people just praising me, and not giving Santana the proper acknowledgement."
Speaking of the Latina, she's clenching her fists and her jaw, knowing that she once again shouldn't get in the middle. She's reminding herself it's Quinn's job and she only cares for Rachel to keep herself from hurting the blonde for daring to speak to her wife that way.
Quinn closes her eyes and takes some deep breaths. "I understand, Rachel, I do, but understand that doing things like that can have a negative effect on your career." The blonde voice is softer now. "I'll start approving the questions before each interview, it won't happen again. At least everyone is going crazy about how cute you, guys, are."
Rachel slowly nods then turns a bit to face Santana; she bites the inside of her lip and grazes her hand gently. "I'm sorry I put you through that, San." she says.
Santana glares at Quinn as she pulls Rachel to her, wrapping her tightly in her arms. Her expression softens when their eyes meet and Santana leans to gently bump her nose against Rachel's. "I adore you for your courage and I'm sure you know how it makes me feel to have you carrying only my last name." Santana gives her wife a small smirk, then steals a peck.
"I am glad to be the cause of that smile." Rachel gently pokes Santana's lips a couple times. "Well, we have the rest of the day, what shall we do?" she asks.
"How about we got for ice cream? Sweeten our day, then decide what to do next.." Santana suggests and takes Riley from Quinn, since the boy trying to reach for her.
Quinn shrugs and now that her hands are free, she run one of them through her hair. "I don't mind."
Rachel checks her pockets to make sure she has everything on her, when she figures that she does, she looks over at the other two with a big smile. "Well, let's get going." she says then walks to the door, opening it and waits for Quinn and Santana to join her.
The group found a nice ice cream shop and got themselves big cones of their favorite flavor; Rachel got strawberry, Quinn got butter-pecan and Santana almost drooled over her pistachio cone. They went to a nearby park to eat and because they didn't like ruin Riley's eating schedule, the mothers gave him each only a taste of their ice cream. They all smiled at the expressions Riley made from not sure when seeing the treat, curious and excited when his mothers presented him with a small spoon and happy when he liked the way it tasted.
It was a nice day, so they walked around and pushed Riley on the swing for a little while before driving back to the hotel. They each took a shower, Santana being the one to wash their son, and went to the hotel's dining area for lunch. They talked about how the interview was taken and the responses were mostly positive; people loved the romantic gesture Rachel made. They wanted to enjoy the rest of their time in Los Angeles, so the talk about worked was pushed to another time, when they're back in New York and have a proper meeting. The rest of the lunch revolved around the families and maybe a real vacation they all should take sometime in the future. On their way back to the rooms, Noah called and told them everything was alright with the dogs and expressed his support for Rachel, then Quinn took him off speakerphone and they exchanged how much they missed one another. In the rooms, they all took a short nap; the cool room providing the perfect atmosphere for it.
When Quinn heard voices from the room next to her, she knew her friends were awake and knocked on the door. "Hey, did you get a good rest?" She asks with her head peeking into the room.
"The best, it was just what we all needed." Santana answers. "Now the little guy is getting restless.." They all watch as Riley makes his way towards his aunt.
"There are some activities for kids of all ages on the main floor." Quinn informs the mothers. "You want me to take him?" She offers.
"Do you want to?" Rachel asks curiously. "I mean we could take him later, but I figured you'd want to enjoy yourself since technically you're on break." she points out with a shy grin.
"I enjoyed myself plenty." Quinn says and catches Santana's expression. "Don't you dare." She warns her friend. "I finished my book and it looks like Riley knows I'm a lot of fun." Quinn chuckles and bends to pick the boy up. "Besides… How should I put it? I know Santana too well and after how romantic you were earlier, I'm surprised she held herself this long. The walls between our rooms are pretty thin, so it'd be better we'd give you some time.." Quinn's smirk isn't as bad as Santana's, but is not far from it.
A shade of crimson formed on Rachel's face as she looks between her wife and her friend. "W-Well.." she stutters then walks over to Quinn, places a gentle kiss on Riley's temple. "You have fun with Auntie Quinn, okay?" she says to Riley.
"Now I'm glad I didn't kill you earlier." Santana tells Quinn and she does the same as her wife. "I'll text you when I'm done expressing my gratitude." She says with no shame and walks to get Riley's bag to give to the blonde.
Quinn rolls her eyes and shakes her head. "I don't know how I stand you or how she fell so in love with you." She takes the bag from Santana and puts the strap over her shoulder, then leaves the room before her friend gets a chance to say anything else.
"Look at you, juggling between you two wives." Santana jokes as she closes the connecting door, just in case, and walks further inside their room.
"Yeah, one nags me too much and the other makes my dreams a reality." Rachel points out as she walks to Santana, holding her from behind and kisses at her shoulder. "How are you feeling?" she asks.
Santana put her hands over Rachel and throws her head back against her wife's shoulder. "I was worried during the interview, but then I was so proud to see you standing up and speak your mind, not that I think I believe I deserve that much credit, you worked so hard to get to where you are." Santana drops the playful facade and is being completely serious. "And god, I know Quinn is only doing her job, but I sometimes I don't like it.."
"You deserve more credit than you get." Rachel mumbles against Santana's shoulder, tightening her grip on Santana's waist. "I love you so much, and you're the completion in my life… You, the kids, the pups even… Complete me."
"I love you too, mi reina." Santana turns her head to kiss Rachel's cheek. "My life would've been worthless without our family." She let go of Rachel's hands and turns in her arms. Santana locks her own arms around her wife's neck and closes the small distance between their bodies. "You are my soulmate, Mrs. Lopez."
Rachel's hands travel up and down Santana's back, loving the embrace she is getting from her wife in every way. 15 years ago, the thought of them being married was laughable, the thought of them being together was impossible, but the reality serves to be the better vision for these two women. Rachel slowly leans towards a kiss, keeping it gentle, not wanting to rush into this.
It's not only that Rachel fully taken her name that makes her happy and emotional, there is much more to that. She wasn't there for Rachel back in high school, but she saw a tiny bit of her struggle, but as the years went by, Santana saw how broken she was. Santana went through those walls and was there to see Rachel overcome many dark things that were holding her back and draining her. To see Rachel not being afraid to be how she is and speak her mind, in front of so many people, that what shook Santana's world, got her to fall for her wife even more. "You're my everything, I won't last without you." Santana mumbles between kisses.
Rachel places a hand against Santana's hip, giving it a gentle squeeze whilst they kiss and dear God, was this kiss magical for many different reasons. She pulls Santana with her to the bed, slowly sits down, and runs her hands to Santana's legs, giving them a gentle nudge as a way to tell Santana to straddle her.
Santana glance at her wife's hands on her legs, but stops in her place and looks in the woman's eyes. They have it all thanks to each other; they complete one another perfectly and pull the other up. Santana gaze into her wife's eyes and everything Rachel is feeling is right there, swimming in those beautiful brown eyes behind her glasses, just like it's reflecting from her own. She slowly straddles Rachel, keeping their eyes lock, and put her hands on her shoulder. Santana smiles and leans to place a kiss on Rachel's nose, cheeks and forehead.
Soft breaths come out of Rachel; just this gentle affection they're giving right now is making her heart race fast. She loves this, and she's not sure what's making this different, the hotel room, the difference in location? Doubtful, Rachel thinks, and almost knows for a fact it has everything to do with what happened at that interview, it just spawned a whole different passion in Rachel that Santana indeed saw and wanted to show Rachel how appreciated it was. Rachel slowly takes Santana's lips in her own, her arms wrapping around the Latina's waist.
The slowness of the kiss and her heightens feelings mixed together bring Santana to a new level of arousal. She's not surprised, though, with Rachel Santana learned that there are many layers of emotions; some she has yet to feel and others she's already knows well. Santana run her hands through her wife's hair a couple of time, before they tangled in it. Despite how badly she wants the woman, Santana kiss is slow. She tastes her, nibbling on her lips and they both take their time.
Rachel moves one arm from it's position to help her hand graze against Santana's leg, with each time going up she gives a gentle squeeze. Slowly, Rachel leans back to lie on the bed, taking Santana with her as the kiss still continues.
Santana takes Rachel's glasses off and stretches her body to reach the nightstand to put them there. She returns to face Rachel and looks at her, smiling, for a moment, before leaning to kiss her neck and whispers, in Spanish, how much she loves her, how even if they could've lived forever, it wouldn't have been enough time for Santana to be with her wife. Santana reminds Rachel that without her she wouldn't have opened herself for love and wouldn't have her family, and for that she's thankful. The Latina kiss from her wife's collarbone to her jaw and state that she will never that what they have for granted and that she's thankful Rachel does the same. Santana then straightens up and pulls her shirt off, throwing it aside and tugs on Rachel's shirt and bite her lip.
She feels the tug from Santana and instantly obliges to her request. Now one layer down, Rachel cups Santana's face and brushes her thumb against the Latina's face then bites her lip. "You're so perfect."
"You had a huge part in me becoming who I am today." Santana pressing her body some more over Rachel's. "And you let me see all of you, even the dark corners, and I fell so hard." Santana parts Rachel's legs with her knee, then slightly press it between them. Her hands on both sides of Rachel's head, gently grazing the sides of her face. "And despite some things about me, you love me back."
Rachel has a bright smile on her face after hearing all of this; she reaches her arms around Santana's back to give it a gentle graze. She brushes her lips against Santana's for a few seconds before opening her mouth, allowing her tongue to brush against Santana's lips to hopefully gain entrance once more.
"You're adorable." Santana can't help but say before she opens her mouth and the tip of her tongue flicks over Rachel's. Quickly, they find themselves in yet another passionate kiss, only this time moans escaping Santana's mouth. She can no longer ignore the aching between her legs and very slowly begin to grind against Rachel's leg. Wanting to feel her skin against her wife's and to see her beautiful body, Santana unties her bikini top; no swimming today. She's thankful it's just an easy pull of the strap at the front, then her hands can grope and pinch and massage all she wants.
A few soft breaths escape Rachel's person the second her breasts are exposed, not that she minded the exposure for Santana's presence, it just caught her off guard a tiny bit. She then lightly scratches Santana's back in a certain rhythm, the sensation just hits the brunette with each passing second and damn did she love this.
With a few quick moves, Santana get rid of the remaining of their clothes. She adjusting herself between Rachel's legs again and once she feels her wife's arousal, Santana moans and leans to capture Rachel's addictive lips. Her hips moving in a slow pace, creating a small friction for both of them. One of her hand return to Rachel's breast and the other brings the woman's leg wrap around her own hip, then run her fingers up and down her skin.
Rachel's grip on Santana's back tightens some when she starts working on the breast of Rachel. She let's out some moans against Santana's lips as she tries to deepen the kiss, regardless of it being passionate enough, Rachel wants to add a bit more thanks to Santana working her magic.
Santana bucking her hips faster, pressing herself right where Rachel needs her and by doing so, increasing her own arousal. "Damn, babe, you're so wet." Santana husks against Rachel's lips, breaking the kiss because it's getting harder to breath. She's placing soft kisses over Rachel's face and keeps giving one of her fully erect nipples attention. Maybe after they'd go for another round, in which Santana could actually taste her wife, but for now she wants to be close.
With time, Rachel learned how to tone down her sexual reactions, but there were some cases where she let the emotions overtake her, that was evident when they first used toys. Right now, Rachel's emotions were already speaking for her, in moans, her grip either on the bed sheet or on Santana; although with Santana she was careful. The brunette's face crimsoned even more so than before, she throws her arms on the bed once again, gripping tighter as time goes on.
"God, Rach, I love you so much." Santana tries not to scream it too loudly. There are times when they make love, like right now, that she feels so emotional, on the verge of crying due to how strongly she feels. Instead, Santana blinks and looks hungrily at Rachel's skin. Her hand move from Rachel's tight to join the other, she's grazing her wife's stomach, twisting her nipples and grabbing her when her clit meets Rachel's thigh the right way. Santana doesn't stop kissing, even when it's getting harder to breath, her lips marking every inch of Rachel's neck, leaving a couple of marks even.
Those kisses alone make Rachel's toes curl, but the movement of Santana against her, the way her hand works the brunette's breasts… It just warps Rachel in the best way possible, so much so that she started to feel closer, and closer to her release, even though she wanted to hold it in for Santana. But because it's Santana, it's practically impossible to hold it in longer than the Latina allows it to be held in, which.. That was the power Santana had in Rachel's eyes, or at least some of the power, since a lot of the better abilities come from that woman's passion for their marriage as a whole. "I-I love you too, San… N-N.." her moan interrupts her intended sentence, as her breathing is deeper. "Oh god, San, kiss me, n-now." she moans sharply.
Santana knows what it means and it causes her to shiver. "Yes, babe, I'm so close." She pecks her lips. "Cum for me." She semi orders, then crush their lips together. Santana sends her strong hand to get Rachel over the edge; she push two fingers inside, easily, and rubs her clit with quick motions. All that while she bucks her hips faster and holding back her own orgasm.
Rachel's eyes widened and eventually rolled to the back of her head, her hips try moving as much as it possibly could, but with one leg over Santana's waist, it was difficult to do so. She hooks her arms around Santana's neck, whimpering into her mouth as her release fully forms.
A lot of things turn Santana on, many things can drive her insane in bed, but they all have one thing in common; Rachel Lopez. So hearing her wife, feeling her against her, especially with how passionate they've been this time; it completely takes over the Latina. Santana deepens the kiss as her hips move faster. Her hand tightly grabs on Rachel's breast, but not to the point of actually hurting the woman. They're both desperate for air, so the kiss is broken and while Rachel is trying to catch her breath, Santana hits her center a few more time on her wife's thigh and screams her name against her neck. Her body tenses up as the amazing feeling wash her body. She lays on Rachel, not really able to move much. A few tears roll down her cheeks and she's placing featherly kisses on Rachel's neck.
Rachel hooks one arm around Santana's chest while running her other hand through Santana's hair, she tries to give her wife as tight of an embrace she can considering her muscles are weak right now from the passionate love making they had. After Rachel catches her breath, she moves the hand that was going through Santana's hair to Santana's face, gently stroking her cheek. "I should be used to feeling tears when our love making hits an emotional peak, but I always feel worried that something might be wrong no matter what." she admits quietly. "So I do this, hold you close, and try to brush the tears off of that flawless face of yours." Rachel continues to admit.
Santana takes a deep breath and exhaling against Rachel's skin before supporting herself on her arms. "Nothing can ever wrong when we do this." She clarifies, staying close to her wife. "I didn't understand how people can cry after sex, I never thought it'd happen to me, but I never thought I'd meet the love of my life too.." Santana smiles and like she did before they made love, her fingers trace Rachel's face.
"You know.." Rachel gulps then smiles a slight amount. "Had I had more than 30 minutes on that show, I would have went on, and on, and on about how much I love you." she points out. "How you make every moment feel brand new, every date we go on feels like the first date, and every time we make love… Always feels like the night you told me you loved me." she whispers the last part then bites the inside of her lip.
Santana leans for a kiss that only last a few moments. "I will never understand how or what I've done to deserve you." She says when their eyes meet again. "You're an inspiration for strength, beauty and wisdom and you're more than I could ever dream of in terms of being the mother of my children." Over the years they built their own family, consisting of blood-related members and friends, and Santana opened up much more, though only with Rachel she let that one wall down and let herself be completely vulnerable. "We're renewing our vows almost on a daily basis, I love it about us." Santana points out in a lighter tone.
"Not only that, but every day is like our honeymoon." Rachel adds to Santana's point and chuckles some. "Which reminds me, remember when the power went out in our floor at that hotel?" she asks.
"I think if people knew how romantic we really are, they wouldn't stand us." Santana laughs, remembering that event. "We didn't need electricity, only some candles. We could've spent the rest of our lives in that room, talking and kissing if it wasn't for our family." Santana gets off Rachel to lean on her side, but she stays closer. Her hand protectively over her wife's body and on the other she rests her head.
Rachel smiled a bit more and held onto Santana a little tighter, loving every second they are this close, intimate or not. "And when the lights came on, we were bummed out because it took away the moment, at least until we turned off the lights in our hotel room and continued the rest of the night just gazing out at the sky…" she sighs happily then turns her head a bit to face Santana. "And you looked so peaceful on that area of the floor that we made a little bed on, it was adorable.. It made lying on the floor comfortable."
Santana shrugs and keeps smiling. "I'm spoiled and thanks to our hard work, we can live a great life, but you and the kids are my home, my everything." She says easily. "I looked and felt like that because you were there. We can never run of things to talk about, or get tired of looking in each other's eyes or feel awkward to just lie next to one another."
"Amazing, isn't it?" Rachel closes her eyes for a few seconds and sighs happily once more. "There are so many places we need to venture to, career or not, I want us to start saving money for a world tour trip when.. I am older, since you will most likely retain your youth." she smirks and moves some hair behind her ear. "I want us to travel when we are in our retiring years… Could we?"
"Of course! It's an awesome idea, honey." Santana gets excited just thinking about it and squeezes her hand around Rachel for a few moments. "And excuse you, but my wife is getting more beautiful with each day." Her tone is serious, but as she leans for a kiss, a smile forms on her lips again. "We're going to see our kids growing up and settling in their lives, then we go see the world together. Promise me we're going to get to that point it time together."
Rachel turns her body to look into Santana's eyes, as serious as she's ever been. "Nothing will keep us from making it to that point.." she says with every bit of confidence in her body. "I promise that…" Rachel bites the inside of her lip, trying her best to not get too emotional, but with the day they had, and their emotions spilling everywhere, a tear did form.
It's something Santana tries her best to never think about. She knows that if she would, she won't be able to function or let Rachel out of her sight. She's religious, on some level, and she has faith that whatever there is after this world, she and Rachel would be there together, but living without her or leaving Rachel here alone, that can tear Santana apart. So she doesn't think about it; they're still young and any other way is just not acceptable. Santana brush the tear before it can reach further down her wife's cheek. "I promise that too, mi amor." She matches Rachel's tone and bumps her nose against her wife's.
Rachel closes her eyes for a few moments, takes some deep breaths then nods some, and then sniffs once. "I love you, Santana." she says and once again bites the inside of her lip, trying her best to prevent it from quivering.
"I love you too, Mrs. Lopez, more than words can describe." Santana cups Rachel's face with her free hand and gives her a hard kiss on her lips. "How about," She starts, not wanting Rachel to cry or feel bad. "-we go get a shower, which is of course a code for 'I'm going to fuck your brains out', then text Blondie it's clear to bring our son back? It's getting kind of late for him." Yes, she could've thought of better ways to cheer her wife, but Rachel knows what she married into and probably loves shower sex more than her anyways.
As enticing as it sounds, Rachel's body is indeed just spent from round one. She would very much like a shower, especially with Santana. "H-How about, we just take the shower… My body is aching so it'd be a little dangerous to go to round two with me, especially with the water running." she nervously bites her lip. "I would like a shower with you, and maybe we can continue some cheesy talk about our future that will happen?" she smiles a slight amount even though her face still had a bit of sadness in it.
It's clear that nothing is more important to Santana than her family, and she's much more than ok with their mind blowing one round. "Sure, honey." She sits up and takes Rachel's hand. "We can talk about our happy, bright future while I wash your hair." Santana smiles as she gets up and pulls her wife with her. They have towels in there, so she guides Rachel straight to the bathroom and carefully into the shower. The world is big, a lot for them to see, so it's somewhat comforting to know it'd take them a long time to accomplish that part of their 'To do' list.
The couple showered and continued to talk about what they want to do in the future, either when they retire or throughout Riley's childhood. Some things were a little silly, others were serious, but overall the talk was a needed one and an enjoyed one. Luckily they were able to get the sheets changed and fast, while Rachel helped the cleaning lady swap the sheet and blankets, Santana called Quinn to give her the heads up that it was safe to come back up. And so, Quinn got back to the room, Riley was starting to fuss a bit so the timing couldn't be more perfect. While Santana fed Riley, Quinn and Rachel talked some about potential project coming up along with the possibility of a multiple movie deal for the SuperWoman series, which Rachel had always considered but never really went ahead and talked to anyone working behind the scenes on that film. An hour passes and finally, a baby boy with more fight in him than normal was able to sleep, Quinn went ahead and called room service to bring up some dinner, she knew what Rachel would eat and what Santana would eat; being around them does that to a person. Now it's time to wait for the food to come up.
"Tana, do you remember our times in hotels?" Quinn casually asks from the couch she's sitting on. She sees Santana, who was letting her hair down, freezes and gulps. The blonde turns to look at her best friend with her eyes slightly wider. "With the Cheerios." She quickly adds, her cheeks a bit warm. "Despite Sue's crazy rules, we've managed to have fun."
Santana was thinking about her and Rachel's conversation earlier, so Quinn's voice surprised her, not to mention her question, what Santana thought she meant and how strange it could've been, especially now. "We were troublemakers; sneaking to the pool at night, getting buzzed and poor those who stayed on our floor.." She laughs at the memories. "It was like with the glee club, sitting and trying to write songs.." She runs her hand through her hair and smiles at Rachel.
"Only not as fun, right?" Rachel sits beside Quinn, then nudges her arm with her elbow. "Also Quinn you should consider not giving my wife a heart attack, especially after the emotional ride we already had today." she suggests.
Quinn moves a bit from Rachel and gives her a gentle push. "It's not my fault your wife has the brain of a 15 year old." She defends herself, then turns with a smirk to the Latina. "And though I did not need that information, good to know someone was able to top you."
Santana was getting into talking about the fun they had in high school, after all her and Quinn has one hell of a past, but Quinn is challenging her. Even though it was emotional day with her wife's interview and their talk was so amazing and she feels a little out of it, Santana never back out from her blonde friend's challenges. "Well, Q, you didn't really try." She shoots back and takes a sit on the armchair, next to the couch. "And it's not what she meant, though I'd gladly let her top me any time she want." With a grin, Santana turns to Rachel and the tenderness in her eyes says it all.
Rachel turns her body some, lifting her feet up to rest them on Quinn's lap then leans back against the arm of the couch, and relaxes. "But in all seriousness, today was amazing on an emotional level." she points out.
"Yes, yes it was." Santana agrees and pulls her legs up, tucking them under her.
Quinn hums in agreement as well. "Can you believe we made it out of Lima? Let alone friends?" She asks in somewhat disbelieve.
"You bet your…" Rachel looks over to the crib that Riley is sleeping in. "Your arse that I believe it." she finishes then looks over towards the other two. "The three of us had what it took to leave, and to stay out of Lima for the most part." Rachel smiles at the two.
"High school and living in Lima was hard on us and maybe it was because we we're meant to live in the big city." Santana points out. "You and me," She gestures between herself and Quinn. "-We were all out and loud. While Rachel knew she's going to do big things and had her head set, we only knew we wanted out." She continues. "You found yourself in law and that genius brain of yours got you places, and I took longer to find myself. But we all worked hard and we became people who fitted in each other's lives."
"We really did change, huh?" Quinn smiles at her friends. "Since Noah and I started the adoption process, I can't stop thinking about all the things we won't know they've done when they grow up. Do you get that too?" She looks between them and let a soft chuckle. "It's freaking me out, especially knowing the things we did and how until this day our parents don't know."
"Q, when was the last time you talked to your mom?" Rachel asks curiously. "Not for nothing, but I never hear you talk about her, I get why you don't talk to your dad, but your mom?" she adds on and leans against the back of the couch, propping her arm up to support her head.
The blonde adjusting herself, not because she's uncomfortable, but because it's not easy for her to talk about it. "She knows I'm married to Noah, that I live in New York and what I do for a living." Quinn starts tapping on Rachel's knee. "We're too different and while we respect each other, it's better if we keep our talks to a minimum, every few months."
Rachel had that very same mindset with her own mom for the longest time, and it was to the point where she almost gave up on her mom, especially after the meeting with Dani. But it was Dani that made Shelby understand, and made their family bigger. 'I won't pry.' she thinks, but there is too much caring inside her heart to not. "She's going to be a grandma soon; I would think she would want to be around so she can help with the child."
"I'm not even sure she'd see the child as family." Quinn sniffles.
"Don't say that, Quinn." Santana knows Quinn's family and that her father was the extremist one. She also knows it won't be easy, but Quinn's mom proved she loves her more than anything once. "I get you don't want to get hurt or your child to be, but if you don't give your mother a chance, she won't be able to prove you wrong."
"I'd listen to Santana." Rachel smiles some and leans back to rest her head on the arm rest. "Well, and me as well, I know how it is, and I am glad I let my mom prove San and I wrong." she says proudly and with a tired tone of voice. "Food needs to get here soon.." she mumbles.
Quinn nods, she'd have to think about it and probably talk to her husband as well. She's not going to make any rush decisions, not when there is going to be a child involved.
"You hungry, babe?"
"Say yes, Rach, Santana will run to the kitchen to get our dinner if you do." Quinn is happy to change the subject, even more because it's her and Santana's usual banter.
Santana glares at Quinn for a moment, then smiles; the woman is not wrong. "No need to run, I can just call."
"Starving." Rachel answers then closes her eyes. "I am also sleepy, and this couch is comfortable." she adds on and folds her arms while yawning.
"No sleeping without eating dinner." Santana warns with a smile. "And no falling asleep on the couch, because that'd mean I'll have to sleep there too and I prefer the bed." She tells her wife while getting up to call and check about their dinner. Thankfully, she can barely finish dialing when there is a knock on the door. Santana walks to open the door and get their food inside. A few moments later the door is closed and Santana moves the cart with the food the where Rachel and Quinn are.
Rachel sat up; pulling her legs closer to her person then licks her lips. "Over the lips, through the gums as they say." she turns herself and waits to see who got what.
"I got us pasta with braised broccoli and tomatoes." Quinn says as she uncovering the dishes. "And for Santana fettuccine alfredo with bacon, since I know she's not a fan of broccoli." Quinn smiles proudly, knowing she nailed it with the order. "There is also flavored sodas."
"And the extra white wine is for me, I'm guessing?" Santana wants to hug Quinn, the food she got them looks and smells great, suddenly she remembers she didn't eat for so long and that she's as hungry as her wife. "Thank you." She says after Quinn nods.
"Who's having the wine?" Rachel asks and looks between the two then grabs her dish, smelling the aroma of the pasta and lets out a sigh of relief. "It's like heaven on a plate." she says.
"I got one for myself and one for Santana," Quinn takes her plate and fork and sits back on the couch. "You usually don't drink; I can't even remember the last time you did.."
Santana chuckles and starts eating.
Rachel shrugs and takes a bite of her food. "I have a good reason for it, and my god is this food delicious." she says with excitement then continues to eat away at her plate.
Santana looks at her wife and repeats the words she just spoken in her mind. She didn't know Rachel had a reason behind not drinking, she assumed it was just something she decided to quit and so Santana never questioned her. Now she wonders, but that conversation might be better if they have in private. "I agree great choices Quinn." She says, then taking a sip from the wine before continuing eating.
The short trip was fun and much more emotional than either of them planned, but they enjoyed it nonetheless. And sometimes, being far from home makes you appreciate who and what's waiting for you there more.
'till next time.
