If there was one thing Neru couldn't tolerate –

Wait, no, there was that other thing –

Oh, and the thing that she really didn't like –

And then that, too –

Well, never mind. There were many things that Neru couldn't tolerate. Or, more accurately, things that she absolutely hated, but like most human beings and Vocaloids, had to tolerate and so did, albeit rather unhappily.

One of said things was when grown Vocaloids – the older ones, too – threw tantrums like spoiled brats.

She kicked him on his right kneecap, and he went down howling. Actually, he'd been howling before in his tantrum, but now the pain made him shout louder.

"Shut up!" she ordered with a troll scowl worthy of the Neruness.

He did so, even if it was done sullenly.

"Listen, I don't care about your girlfriend being missing," she began, and was received with the beginning of another howling tantrum. "Shut up! Let me finish! And I don't care."

"You heartless troll!" Kaito shouted. He probably meant to insult her, but it only had the opposite effect. Neru had a rather pleased smile after that. "How can you say something like that?"

"Um, I open my mouth and solid gold comes pouring out," Neru said, and never mind the science nerds shouting that solids don't come pouring out. "But still. It doesn't matter if it was my fault or not. You're her boyfriend, it's your responsibility to find her."

"What do you think I was doing?" Kaito shouted, flailing his arms like a deranged muppet throwing a fit. "I was on this awesome quest to find and rescue her from the dangerous situation she obviously is in and of course it's your fault why wouldn't that matter-"

Neru turned her head sharply, slapping Kaito's face with her golden ponytail. "Because I said so," she replied. "And quest? Please, you don't even have a party with you."

Kaito's face turned beet-red in embarrassment as he realized that Neru had a point. "I-well, I was on my way to get members," he sputtered.

Neru raised an eyebrow. "Then get going, tiger."

Kaito stomped away before Neru could do anymore damage to his already-hurt ego. Once he was gone, she sent the message to Mizki without spellchecking as she usually did. So Miku was missing, huh?

Time to get a head start on the gossip vine.

She began typing out a mass text message.
