It had been days since we arrived at the hospital, and there had been no movement from Dean, the young man we helped had been released and actually came to find us to Thank us, even though he didn't remember a thing.
The kind doctor who helped me on the first day we arrived popped by every so often to see how we were doing, she asked if i was eating, I admitted i hadn't eaten much and she ordered Sammy to get me something to eat.
"does your brother in Law know your pregnant?" she asked
"No, we were going to tell him, but things got in the way, and i don't want to say anything without Dean" I told her
I still held his hand
"you need to make sure you eat properly, for both you and the baby?" She said
"He'll be fine you know, your husband, the body is just resting so it can heal, but all his vitals are fine" she said, trying to offer me comfort.
Her beeper went off
"I'm so sorry, I have to go" she said
"That's ok, i understand.....look...thanks for everything" i said smiling
"Do you have other family you can call?" she asked
i nodded
"My father" i said
"Well, why don't you give him a call, I can get one of the nurses to occupy your brother in law so you can talk to him in peace" she said
"Thanks" I replied
She left the room and told the nurse at the desk, who looked at me and nodded then smiled
I dialed my father's number
"Daddy?" i said
"Angel, what's wrong?" he answered
I told him everything, about how the latest hunt we went on had killed hunters, how it was the thing that killed mum, that it had been waiting for me, and how Dean was now in hospital and still hadn't woken up
"And Daddy....well......I'm pregnant" i finished, Tears were streaming down my face
I could tell my father was excited, but at the same time worried about everything else that was going on in my life
"Angel, i know your worried, but Dean is strong, i can leave and be there with in a day if you want, but you need to not stress or worry, right now, you need to relax and think of the baby" he replied
I saw Sam approaching, and as promised the nurse distracted him and spoke to him
my father continued to ask questions about Dean vitals and then about me, how far along was i?, had i been scanned?
I answered all his questions and told him not to come, but i would keep him informed, I hung up the phone and the nurse said something to Sam and walked off,
"I got you a sandwich" Sammy said holding it out for me
"and a bottle of water".

It was getting late now and my eyes were growing heavy
"I'm gonna get a coffee from the machine, Want anything?" Sammy asked
I shook my head
As Sammy walked out the room, I once again rested my head on Dean's thigh, my eyes dropped closed, Sam was gone awhile and i fell asleep.
I felt a warm hand rest on my head and gently stroke my hair, I was sure i was dreaming, but as i opened my eyes the hand was still there, ii blinked a few times and saw Dean's eyes were open, I sat up quickly
"Dean, your....your awake" i said, i leant forwards and kissed his lips as i began to cry
"Are you ok?" He croaked out
"I am now" i said stroking his cheek
He tried to move, but winced under the pain,
"Don't move, you need to rest" I said smiling
"How long have i been out?" He asked
"4 Days" i said, tears still running down my cheeks
"I've been so worried about you" I kissed him again
his hand reached for my cheek and wiped a tear away
"I'm sorry, I'm so emotional at the moment, it's the baby" I told Dean
"Is our baby ok, you took a nasty knock" He asked, concern filled his eyes
"yer....." I began to answer but Sammy walked through the door
"Dean, your awake" he put his coffee down quickly spilling half of it on his hand
he winced and blew on his hand, but smiled at Dean
Dean placed his hand on my stomach and i looked at him
"Sammy, we need to tell you something" Dean began to say
"Actually i have something you both need to hear" i interrupted and once again kissed him
"Sammy, I'm afraid we've kind of been hiding something from you.........I'm pregnant" I told him and smiled
It took a moment to sink in but then he smiled
"really?" He asked looking at Dean then me again
"Yes, and because i took a nasty knock back at the warehouse they scanned me when i arrived...so the baby is doing fine" I said
Sam came running over and hugged me
"That's fantastic news" Sammy said, beaming
"We'll that's not all, when they scanned me they.....they told me we .........were having a boy" I smiled and looked at Dean, a big grin spread across his face
"a Boy?" Dean asked
"Yep! and well....." i pulled out the sonogram and showed Dean
"I want to call him John" i said, gently stroking my bump.
Dean's face lit up, he looked at the little sonogram picture
"That's really our boy?" he asked
Tears of happiness still ran down my cheeks and i nodded
"sorry to interrupt.....oh your awake" the nurse said coming into the room
"I was just coming to check on you" she continued
"when can i get out of this place" Dean asked
"I mean no offence to you lot that work here, but i don't really like hospitals, haven't had the best of memories in them" he smiled
The nurse smiled
"Plus you know that hospital food isn't the best and my wife is pregnant and needs good food" Dean continued
She saw the sonogram
"is that the baby" she asked
"That's my boy" Dean said
"Well ok, I'll get the doctor and tell him your case, I'm afraid he makes the final decision." the nurse said, she smiled as Dean continued to look at the small image
Then left the room
About 20 minutes later the doctor entered, he was short and balding and had a stern look on his face, he looked at Dean's notes, then looked at us over the rim of his glasses
"The nurse has tod me you want to be discharged" he asked
"Yer, I'm feeing fine" Dean answered
"Well lets look at your stitches" He said
As he examined Dean's stitches, Dean kept looking at me, His hand in mine and he was smiling.
"Well, it's seems to be a little tender, but otherwise healing well, your vitals are ok" the doctor said, then he softened and smiled
"and indeed the hospital food here is dreadful, and your wife does need good food in her condition" he laughed
"its a little late, but tomorrow morning when they do the rounds I'll get the nurses to give you some strong pain killers to take with you and you can go" he said
"and congratulations to you both" he smiled at me, before leaving the room.
The morning couldn't come sooner, and for the first time in day's i slept well that night, knowing we were all going to be fine, Dean stroked my head, as i began to drift off to sleep

"The nurse is on her way over" I heard Sammy say
I blinked a few times and opened my eyes, then lifted my head
"Hey Gorgeous" Dean said
He was sitting upright and smiling at me
"Hello" the nurse said, walking into the room
"So, you managed to persuade the doctor to let you go today i see" she said smiling
"well here's some painkillers to last you for a few days, I just need to change your dressing and someone to sign the discharge papers" she said smiling
Dean pulled up the top so she could change his dressing, as i headed to the desk to sign the papers
"I just need you to sign here" the kind woman behind the desk said
"we're also going to pay now too" i said
"oh no it's all take care of, your father phoned to check on you both and has paid it all over the phone" she smiled
I smiled back and thanked her before signing the papers and joining Dean again
Once the Nurse finished with Dean's dressing and left the room, he reached for my hand and pulled me down for a kiss
"How much did it cost?" he asked
"Nothing, dad paid for it" i said
"I'll phone and thank him, now get your sexy butt out of bed and get changed, i wanna leave here" i smiled and kissed him again
"I might need some help, still hurts a little" he gave a cheeky grin
I smiled back and nodded as he gingerly climbed off the bed, I wrapped an arm around his waist and helped him walk into the bathroom, Grabbing clothes for him as we went.
