Chapter 37 – The Golden Key

The Rangers joy at the destruction of the Machine Empire stayed with them in the following days, and they believed it would never go away. They were able to go to school, the park, the Youth Centre, anywhere they wanted without having to worry about being called away to battle. For the first time in her life Tommy and Kim were able to allow Kira a little more freedom. Of course the freedom of a two year old entailed being able to run around the play ground with the guardian standing off to the side and merely keeping an eye on things instead of never straying more than two feet away. But even this little bit of freedom meant the world to Tommy and Kim, for its significance could not be bigger. Their own parents could not be happier. Their relief being along the lines of Tommy and Kim's, for even though their children were grown, they were still their children. The news that the battle was over was even enough to soften the blow to Charles of knowing his son was suffering something not only beyond his control, but also beyond the control of those on Earth. With the added timeframe of two weeks before Billy returned, and the knowledge that Kat was with him, Charles was more or less able to continue on as normal, allowing himself to believe that his son was merely on a two week vacation or something. Things were finally starting to look up, their joy knew no bounds, and none of them even allowed the possibility of it not really being the end to enter their mind, meaning none were prepared for what would soon follow.

-T/K-

It started almost a week to the day of the destruction of the Machine Empire. The Rangers discovered that though their battle may be over, there were still problems that came with possessing The Power. Jason began to weaken at an alarming rate, though as he was Jason, he pushed it aside and told no one so the Rangers didn't know a thing until he collapsed at the Youth Centre one day while teaching a martial arts class.

"Jason!" Trini screamed, being the first to see him hit the floor. The entire Youth Centre froze and the Rangers dashed to his side, followed by every other occupant who all wanted to know what was going on.

"Guys, back up, give him some space." Ernie instructed, and with the help of Bulk and Skull, kept the crowd back. "We should call an ambulance." Jason's eyes widened at that and those in on the Ranger secret then knew that whatever had caused him to collapse had not been caused naturally.

"No, no I'm fine Ernie." Jason insisted, beginning to sit up.

"You're not fine, Jason Lee Scott." Trini growled, her voice indicating that she would get him later for not informing her of whatever was going on. "We'll take him. Don't worry, we got him." She said louder for the benefit of the crowd as they helped Jason to stand and led him out of the Youth Centre. As there were many of them, and Kira was there, Kim, Rocky and Aisha stayed back long enough to collect their things, along with the toddler before they ran out and teleported into the Power Chamber seconds after the others. They joined them in the Med Bay where Alpha had attached some wires to Jason to try and figure out what was wrong.

"Guys I'm fine." Jason tried to insist, as he moved to sit up again. Having heard Kira's worried query when she saw him lying on a bed, not at all his usual self, Kim was hit with inspiration and promptly placed her daughter down on Jason's chest.

"Unc Jay you ok?" she asked, burrowing down and giving him the biggest hug she could.

"Good thinking." Trini mumbled to Kim. They both knew with Kira now obviously worried that Jason would want to prove to his goddaughter that he was ok. And everyone knew Trini and Kim would make sure Kira understood that the only way to prove he was alright would be to allow Alpha to run some tests.

"I'm fine, sweetie." He said with a smile. "Alpha's just gonna run some tests to see just how fine I am." Kira nodded into his chest and Jason mouthed 'touché' in the girls' direction.

"The energy analyzer is up, Alpha." Adam said from a mobile control panel to which the other end of the wires were attached.

"Aye yai yai! I wish Billy were here."

"YOU'RE DOING FINE, ALPHA." Zordon said from his a second energy tube that was in the Med Bay. Unlike the original Command Centre, they had built the Power Chamber with a couple energy tubes for Zordon so he could help and keep on eye on things from more than just the main room. "BEGIN THE ANALYSIS."

"Transmitting the raw data to you now, Zordon." When Zordon did not immediately say anything the Rangers turned their attention away from Jason and to the ancient sage, who caught Tommy's eye.

"Come on sweetie." He said, lifting Kira off Jason. "Unc Jay needs some privacy. Let's go play with your play set." He carried Kira out of the room, knowing he didn't really have to be there to hear what Zordon was going to say.

"THIS IS NOT LOOKING GOOD." He said once Kira was out of earshot. "I AM AFRAID IT IS AS WE HAVE FEARD. THE GOLD RANGER POWERS ARE UNIQUELY BONDED TO TREY, AND SO CANNOT REMAIN WITH ANOTHER FOR LONG."

"They're leaving him." Aisha surmised.

"YES. AND ALONG WITH THEM, JASON'S OWN VITAL LIFE FORCE."

"We have to contact Trey and have him take the Gold Ranger powers back." Kim said.

"I AGREE KIMBERLY. ALPHA, INITIATE CONTACT WITH TRIFORIA RIGHT AWAY." Alpha did as instructed and it wasn't long before the three Trey's appeared on the screen.

"Rangers, Zordon." Trey of Courage greeted.

"Is something the matter?" Trey of Heart asked, being the first of his personalities to see that something was indeed wrong.

"Yeah. Jason's losing the Gold Ranger powers. We need your help." Adam said.

"We shall teleport in at once." Trey disappeared from the screen, but almost as quickly appeared in person.

"I understand your dilemma, Rangers." Trey of Courage said, sadness evident in his voice. "Unfortunately I have not been able to restore myself into the unified form necessary to reclaim the Gold Ranger powers."

"Well we've gotta figure out something." Trini said from her place at Jason's side. "Zordon, isn't there anything we can do to help Trey unite himself?"

"THERE IS ONLY ONE POSSIBLE WAY I KNOW OF, BUT IT COULD PROVE VERY DANGEROUS. AN INTERPLANETARY UNIFICATION BEAM CAN BE USED TO CREATE A POSITIVE ENERGY FLOW BETWEEN THREE PLANETS, WHO'S HEARTS AND MINDS ARE CONNECTED. TRIFORIA, EARTH, AND AQUITAR ARE CONNECTED THROUGH THE POWER, AND OUR DESIRE TO PROTECT THE UNIVERSE."

"The beam must be reflected off of the other two planets at a specific point in their orbits, and return to Earth with exact precision." Trey of Wisdom explained.

"What about the side effects?" Kim asked.

"IT'S A RISK THAT CAN'T BE AVOIDED. THE ALIGNMENT OF THE THREE PLANETS IS DEPENDANT UPON THEIR DISTANCE FROM EACH OTHER; THEY MUST BE EXACTLY AN EQUAL DISTANCE APART. AS TRIFORIA AND AQUITAR BOTH HAVE DIFFERENT ORBITS THAN EARTH, TRAVELING AROUND THEIR SUN AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS, THIS ALIGNMENT HAPPENS ONCE EVERY EARTH WEEK, AND WILL TAKE PLACE THIS EVENING. SHOULD WE MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY, WE SHALL HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER WEEK."

"And hope its not too late." Zack finished.

"Trey, are you willing to take the risk?" Aisha asked.

"Yes, I am. I knew the Gold Ranger powers would not last for long outside of my possession, and it was never my intention to leave them in Jason's keeping for this long. It is due to my own ineptitude that he is in the precarious position in which he currently finds himself."

"It's not your fault, Trey." Kim said. "But thank you for taking this risk for him."

"I know he would, and already has, done the same for me."

"So how do we do this?" Rocky asked. "What beam or power source do we use?"

"THE GOLDEN POWER STAFF SHALL BE THE POWER SOURCE. IT MUST BE REFLECTED OFF ANOTHER GREAT POWER SOURCE ON BOTH TRIFORIA AND AQUITAR AND THEN RETURN TO THE GOLDEN STAFF."

"I shall contact my people an have one of them standing at the ready." Trey said and Alpha led him out of the Med Bay and to their communications system.

"We have to contact Billy." Kim said, raising her communicator to her lips. After their trip to Pheados, Billy had deemed it a good idea to extend their communicators reach to intergalactic proportions, however they had been unable to test it until Billy and Kat traveled to Aquitar. Thankfully, most everything of Billy's creation works, so they had had no problems.

"Billy come in."

"I read you Kim." He responded seconds later.

"We need your help, or rather the help of the Aquitians." She quickly explained what was happening and their plan to fix it, allowing Billy's brilliant mind to figure things out from his end.

"Do not fear, we shall be ready." Came Delphine's voice just before the transmission ended. Seconds later, Trey returned, Kira following hot on his heels.

"Mama tree!" she cried pointing at the three Treys.

"Yes, sweetie there's three of them." Kim laughed as she bent to pick up the little girl who was quite in awe by this latest development. "Sorry, she's never seen twins or triplets before."

"It is quite alright." Trey said with a smile. "She reminds me of my own daughter."

"You have children?"

"Just my little Trina for now. Though my wife has decided it has been long enough after Trina's birth to try for a second one."

"How old is she?" Tommy asked, coming to stand by his family.

"She is just over six months old." Kim's eyes widened.

"And your wife wants another one already? I wouldn't even let Tommy touch me at six months, let alone try for another."

"You are forgetting we are Triforians. Humanoid in appearance, but we are not humans. We grow differently, Trina looks of a similar age to your Kira, our customs and views on life are different from yours, and as King of Triforia, an heir must be provided." As the planets alignment was still hours away, the Rangers and Trey settled into the Power Chamber and talked, each learning a lot of their other's planet. Eventually though, Zordon told them it was nearly time and they roused Jason, who had fallen sleep some time ago, and brought him outside the Power Chamber.

"We need the Golden Power Staff." Tommy told his friend. Jason nodded and summoned the staff, though it took a few tries. With them in place, Trey and Kim contacted Triforia and Aquitar ensuring all was in place. Upon Zordon's signal, Jason released the golden power, sending it to Triforia, then Aquitar, and finally back to Earth. When the power returned, it caused copious amounts of energy to be released, hitting the three Treys and uniting them into one. Jason felt the Gold Ranger powers leave him, but at the same time he felt his life force return.

"It is done. I am united once more!" Trey said happily.

"And I feel fine now." Jason said to Trini who had rushed to his side. "For real this time. Thank you Trey."

"No, thank you Jason. Without you, the Gold Ranger powers would have been lost for good. Now, I must return home. But should you ever have need of me, do not hesitate to call."

"Same here." Tommy said. With a nod, Trey summoned Pyramidas and disappeared into the sky.

"Well I'm glad that's over." Kim said. "Though I have to admit, this was probably one of the easiest crises we've ever dealt with. Can you imagine if we'd had to have done all this with Mondo trying to stop us?"

-T/K-

Another week passed and the Rangers began preparing for Billy and Kat's return. Billy had begged to stay an extra couple of days so he could finish learning all he could on Aquitian technology, and, reluctantly, his friends and his father had agreed, so it was slightly over the two-week mark when they'd return. It was fortunate timing, though, for final exams would start the day after they returned. The Rangers teleported textbooks and schoolwork to Kat on Aquitar and she studied while Billy took lessons from the Aquitians, hoping to be ready for exams once she returned. At the same time that they were preparing for finals, Rocky, Adam, Zack and Tommy were preparing for a martial arts competition, the winning team earning ten thousand dollars for the charity of their choice. The weekend of the competition, as well as Billy and Kat's return, arrived, and that Friday afternoon the three were practicing once again. The charity they had chosen was the Little Angels Haven, an orphanage, and the kids from the shelter would be coming to watch them practice. Aisha, Trini, as well as Tanya, were chaperoning the kids and babysitting Kira, while Kim and Jason took some time to do something on their own as siblings. Jason had been a bit down this last week after losing the Gold Ranger powers and so Kim had arranged a scuba trip to cheer him up which was to last this afternoon, and into tomorrow, ensuring they would be back in time for the competition, and to welcome Billy and Kat home.

-T/K-

The bus rented out by the orphanage arrived at the stadium where the competition would be held, and the three girls were immediately put on edge by the ambulance sitting outside. Of course the kids had already started to head into the building so there was nothing they could do to prevent the cry of "Rocky!" that came from one Justin Stewart upon seeing his big brother from the Big Brother/Sister Program run by the shelter. Aisha had cried out at the same time and bypassed Justin on her sprint down to Rocky. Tanya and Trini got the kids to stay back as they too crowded around their friend. When the paramedics were ready to move him to the ambulance, Aisha went with them without a word, holding Rocky's hand so tightly they could all see that an attempt to separate them would not go over well. A couple hours passed in which Tanya and Trini got the kids back to the shelter while Tommy and Zack called the parents, and Adam drove out to Stone Canyon to pick up Maria DeSantoes. As the Rangers sat in the waiting room, Kim and Jason, who's communicators would not work under water, were informed via Kim and Tommy's bond of Rocky's injury and were assured they'd be called if they could do anything for him. Eventually, Maria came out after having talked to the doctors and said that Rocky would make a full recovery, though it would take some time. She told them to go in and see him, and also to try and talk to Aisha who had not left Rocky's side, except when forced to so tests could be run. Maria did not ask them to try and get Aisha to leave, she knew that particular endeavour would be futile, but rather to try and convince her to take care of herself as well as she was taking care of Rocky. Maria knew of her son and Aisha's feelings for each other, it had been clear since they were children, though both their stubbornness wouldn't allow them to see it. Maria and Carissa often joked that it was only a matter of time before they got married, much to Rocky and Aisha's annoyance, though the sentiment itself was by no means a joke. Both mothers could tell that eventually that is where their children's relationship would lead.

-T/K-

The Rangers headed down the hall to Rocky's room, finding him awake, and Aisha, who was curled up in a chair brought flush against Rocky's bed, looking ever so slightly less worried.

"Hey!" they said cheerfully.

"Unc Rock." Kira cried sleepily from Zack's arms. She'd fallen asleep in the waiting room and had woken up by the loud cries of her family. She then promptly fell back asleep.

"We brought you some flowers." Said Tanya.

"Got you a card." Tommy held up a giant card before placing in on the table at the end of his bed.

"And some decorations." Added Adam, releasing a few balloons towards the ceiling.

"The doctors said you're gonna make a full recovery. That's wonderful."

"Yeah, but not in enough time for the competition." Aisha narrowed her eyes at him.

"Boy, if you weren't trying to show off this wouldn't have happened in the first place." She growled angrily. "Now you are going to suck it up and do everything I tell you to do."

"You tell me to do? I think it's the doctors who are the specialists." he retorted.

"Please. We both know you won't do what the doctors say, so it falls to me to make sure you do, cause we both know you don't want me to get angrier than I already am."

"Hey, I'm the injured party here!"

"Yes and-"

"Ok, alright, that's enough fighting children." Trini stepped in.

"So what are we gonna do about the competition?" Rocky asked, returning to his former line of thought.

"Jase will probably be back in time." Said Tommy.

"And if not Trini can do it." Zack added. "We're not gonna lose that prize money. The shelter needs it."

"You know Justin's taking this pretty hard." Tanya said. "It's bad enough he lost his mother, now he has to face losing the shelter, and having a big brother who's in the hospital."

"We won't let that happen." Adam said, putting his arm around his girlfriend. Suddenly, a very familiar six-note chime interrupted the group; one they had not heard in two weeks. They had visited Zordon and Alpha naturally, not being active Rangers wasn't going to stop them from doing that, but Zordon had had no reason to call them, until now.

"Your pagers again?" Tanya asked, having heard the sound before and been given that excuse.

"Uh, yeah. Aisha we gotta-"

"I'm not going anywhere." She interrupted. "I'm not leaving him."

"Aisha you have to go. They'll need your help. Especially with me in here."

"No." she said forcefully. "I am not leaving you. Take Tanya." She directed to the others. The Rangers shared a look, unsure they had heard her correctly.

"Take me where?" Tanya asked, fully confused. The six notes rang out again, adding a sense of desperation.

"I know we don't just dump this on unsuspecting people, but we don't have time, and I got a feeling you'll need her help. I know she can do this."

"Do what?!" In response, Aisha activated her Zeonizers and removed them, handing them to her cousin. When their communicators went off for a third time, Tommy no longer hesitated.

"This is Tommy, go ahead."

"RANGERS, REPORT TO THE POWER CHAMBER. A POWERFUL WIZARD HAS ARRIVED ON EARTH AND MAY BE IN DANGER." Feeling slightly relieved that this call was about another intergalactic visitor and not a new enemy Tommy replied in the affirmative.

"We're on our way."

"R-Rangers…?" Tanya stuttered. "As in the Power Rangers?" Nodding their heads, the Rangers backed up, preparing to teleport, Trini grabbing on to Tanya.

"We'll explain later." She said, trying to sound reassuring.

"We'll keep you two informed." Adam promised as the four of them hit the teleportation buttons, heading to the Power Chamber and taking Tanya with them. The woman in question was in absolute shock at what she saw, she couldn't believe this was all real.

"Zordon, this is Tanya, Aisha's cousin." Tommy introduced. "Aisha can't leave Rocky." He added, knowing Zordon would understand. This wasn't simply Aisha decided not to fight, this was her knowing she couldn't so long as Rocky was in the hospital. At best, she'd become a liability, all her thoughts and emotions being with Rocky; it was something Tommy could understand, if it was Kim in there, he wouldn't leave her side either.

"WELCOME TANYA. I AM ZORDON OF ELTAR. I AM CERTAIN YOU HAVE MANY QUESTIONS, BUT THEY SHALL HAVE TO WAIT FOR JUST A MOMENT." He said before turning towards the Rangers. "LERIGOT HAS TAKEN GREAT PAINS TO HIDE HIS EXACT LOCATION. SOMEONE MUST BE AFTER HIM."

"You must find him quickly." Alpha implored them.

"Adam, shall we?" Tommy asked.

"I think I'm gonna stay and answer Tanya's questions. Why doesn't Trini go?" He would have offered up Zack as well, but his predecessor was currently being used as a pillow; Kira had now become so accustomed to teleportation that it didn't even wake her up anymore. Tommy looked to Trini who nodded in acceptance.

"Keep an eye out for whoever's after Lerigot." Tommy told those staying.

"HE IS SOMEWHERE IN CENTRAL AFRICA. EQUIPT YOURSELVES WITH THE POWER BOXES AND TELEPORT THERE IMMEDIATELY, HE CANNOT SURVIVE UNDER THE SUN'S RAYS." Tommy and Trini went into the back room and picked up their Power Boxes. One thing that must be said for Zordon and Alpha, they made enough for everyone. There were extra Power Boxes coloured red, yellow and black specifically for Jason, Trini and Zack.

"The short range transmitter in the Power Boxes should lead you straight to Lerigot." Alpha informed. "Good luck."

"Ready?" Tommy asked.

"Let's go." They arrived in Africa and began their search. As they walked, Tommy informed Kim of what was going on and had to stop her coming right home as there was currently nothing she or Jason could do. It took a few hours, and a few close calls with a Rock Python, a cliff, and some rapids, but eventually Trini and Tommy found Lerigot, who was being led around by some monkeys who had apparently taken care of him while he was in Africa. They teleported him back to the Power Chamber and set him up in the Med Bay. While they were gone, Tanya had come to grips with the whole Power Ranger thing and had begun to learn her way around the Power Chamber. Adam shot them a proud look and they knew Aisha had been right, Tanya was more than capable of handling this, and by the fact she was still here told them she would accept The Power; they may not have known Tanya long, but they knew her well enough to know she was an outspoken, strong, opinionated woman who'd most certainly let them know if this was something she didn't want to do. As the Rangers worked to get Lerigot stabilized, Tommy froze, something was wrong with Kim.

"What is it?" Zack asked. He had put Kira down in her playpen a few hours ago and the little girl was still sound asleep, allowing him to be of use.

"It's Kim. Her end of the bond just disappeared." He muttered, beginning to work himself into a panic as all attempts at reaching Kim failed.

"Slow down, Tommy." Zack instructed. "They're scuba diving, it requires concentration, maybe that's what she's doing."

"No, she's been diving for awhile and she kept her end open. Now it's just gone!" Beside him, Lerigot joined Tommy in panicking. Just as Tommy knew something was wrong with Kim, Lerigot knew something was wrong with his family. The viewing screen then lit up to reveal the source of Lerigot's distress.

"Zordon I know you can hear me so listen well." Said a woman in a weird outfit with kind of a half mask on. "Lerigot must surrender. Say hello to Lerigot's family. Yara, loving wife, and caring mother to little baby Bethel. Don't you just wanna pinch those adorable cheeks?"

"Make it stop look what it's doing to him!" Tanya cried, seeing Lerigot's distress increase.

"Bring him to me." The woman commanded. "Oh, and by the way, as a token of my appreciation, I'll spare a couple of your favourite humans." Tommy suddenly felt the bond spring back to open, though he didn't like what he was seeing from Kim's end. "They're certainly not much to look at, but my sensors tell me they were once one of your, um – what do you call them – oh yes, Power Rangers."

"Kimberly." Tommy muttered as what he was seeing through the bond, and on the screen matched up. "And Jason."

"Do what I say or it's lights out for all of them!"

-T/K-

In the bowels of the ship, Kim and Jason tried to teleport out, but found they couldn't.

"Kim, I think we're in major trouble here." Jason said.

"I'll say." She muttered back.

"Hola." Came a voice and the two turned around to come face to face with two familiar people.

"Guten tag."

"My name is Antonio Banderas."

"Bulk?"

"Skull?"

"You are speaking to us?" Bulk said in a fake German accent, while Skull continued in a Spanish one.

"Who is this 'Bulk' and 'Skull?' "

"Something is strange with those two." Said Jason.

"Oh you just figured that one out?" Kim teased.

"I think you should talk to Tommy." Completely agreeing, Kim reached out to her mate.

'Are you alright?' Tommy asked frantically.

'I'm fine, just the usual evil being wanting to kill us.' Tommy didn't answer her though Kim could see exactly what he was thinking, and the emotions running through him.

'Handsome, don't you dare lose control.' Kim warned. 'You go green now, and I'll have to kill you myself.'

'She has you captive, Kim!' he growled as he felt Tom begin to ascend to the surface.

'Yes, because I've never been someone's captive before.' Kim said without thinking, then immediately smacked herself on the head upon feeling Tommy's guilt. 'OK, really bad choice of words. But you know what I mean.'

'She said she's gonna kill you if we don't do what she says!' he said desperately, agreeing with her that now was not the time to get back into that particular point in their lives, though he still wasn't sure if he could hold Tom back.

'Do you really think we're that easy to kill? After everything we've been through, you think I'm gonna lose that fight?'

'No. I'm worried she won't give you a chance to fight.'

'Tell you what. If things get that bad, you have my full permission to unleash Tom. But until they get that bad, do what you do best: protect Earth, and come save me.' That last bit was said as a joke, both of them knowing she didn't need him to save her, but also knowing he would do everything he could to save her, just like she would if it were him who was being captive. Tommy took a few deep breaths as he fought with Tom. The addition of Kim's power and will helped and Tom reluctantly retreated, though remained fully alert.

'Alright, fine you win. We'll do this your way for now. But the first sign of trouble…'

'And she will be meeting a pissed Green Ranger.' Finishing their conversation, the two turned back to their own current situation. Lerigot had gotten off the bed and had begun conversing with Alpha.

"I don't understand, why does that woman want Lerigot?" Tanya asked.

"THAT IS DIVATOX, A SPACE PIRATE. SHE PLANS TO USE LERIGOT AND HIS GOLDEN KEY TO PASS THROUGH THE TREACHEROUS NEMESIS TRIANGLE INTO ANOTHER DIMENSION. ONCE THERE SHE WILL LIKELY TRAVEL TO THE LOST ISLAND OF MUIRANTHIAS AND ATTEMPT TO JOIN FORCES WITH AN EVIL CREATURE NAMED MALIGORE."

"Great." Said Tommy, not liking that their peace seemed to be over. "Then what?"

"THEN NOTHING WILL BE SAFE. EVEN THE ZORDS WOULD NOT BE ENOUGH TO STOP THEM."

"What? No!" Alpha cried from his place next to Lerigot, gaining the Rangers attention.

"What's he doing?" Trini asked.

"Aye yai yai! He is performing the Liarian prayer of guidance. Lerigot is preparing to surrender."

"But why, we can't let him do that!" said Tanya.

"It's his family, Tanya." Said Adam. "We'd do the same for each other."

"I just hope they're ok." She said, turning into Adam's embrace. Handling it well or not, this was still a lot to take in.

"Ok listen, first we get Kim and Jason out of there, then we'll go after Lerigot's family." Said Tommy.

'His family first, Thomas James!' Kim said. 'We can take care of ourselves, there's a baby in danger. Imagine if it was Kira.' Tommy really didn't want to imagine that scenario. 'And you need to stop Lerigot from giving himself up. If Divatox frees this Maligore Earth won't be safe, we'll be at war again.'

"Fine." Tommy snapped, not liking that she was right in this case. His every instinct was telling him to get in there and get Kim out, but she was right. They had to prevent another war from starting. "We'll save Lerigot's family, then we'll go after Kim and Jason. You happy now?" Those who knew of the bond were impressed with Tommy, normally he'd have left to save Kim already. There was one though who was completely confused.

"What?" Tanya asked. "Who's he talking to."

"Kimberly." Adam supplied. "Long story short Kim and Tommy have a bond which allows them to communicate telepathically." Tanya nodded in understanding, but was still pretty confused. The Rangers came up with a plan; they would take Lerigot down to meet Divatox, but demand his wife and baby be released first. Once the Liarians were safe, they'd show Divatox what Power Rangers were really capable of and Tanya would take Lerigot and his family to safety, while the others went to save Kim and Jason. And apparently Bulk and Skull.

"Send Lerigot down!" One of Divatox's goons called from his place on the water.

"No!" Tommy called back. "Release his family first."

"We said we'd release your friends, not his family!"

"Change of plans!"

"You have no choice, humans! Now send the wizard down!"

"I don't like this." Adam muttered. "We should stall until we got a Plan B."

"Yeah, I think maybe you're right."

"Lerigot's gone!" Tanya called suddenly, not seeing the Liarian who had been beside them until two seconds ago.

"Lerigot! No!" Trini called, spotting him down on the beach and heading towards the goon, Elgar, Kim supplied via Tommy.

"Come back!" Lerigot merely waved and got into the boat with Elgar.

"You can swim for your friends!" Elgar yelled as he dumped two bodies into the water.

"No wait." Tommy said when the others made to jump down the cliff to rescue Kim and Jason. "It's not them. They're just dummies."

"Which means we now have no Yara or Bethel, no Kim and Jason, or Bulk and Skull, and the only one who can open the portal and free Maligore, starting another war, just gave himself up to the enemy." Zack summarized. Tommy nodded.

"Looks like our peace is over guys. It's back to action."

A/N - The beginning of Turbo! Next chapter will conclude the movie, though unlike with King for a Day you will unfortunately have to wait for that conclusion as I will not be able to get it out till probably next weekend. Justin will be properly introduced next chapter and, in case it wasn't obvious enough with Rocky still getting injured and Aisha giving her Morpher to Tanya, we will have two new Rangers!

Review please!
