Mario couldn't help, but remember the story that Link had told him only hours before and felt the same pain as when his own parents died. "Mario, look!" Luigi cried and he looked up to see a large bundle of fluffy, white clouds hovering high above them.

"So, this must be where Encancia is," Mario said, before seeing a tiny shack nearby where a strange old koopa wearing a robe with a wand printed on his apron. "Hey, ummm...Old guy!" Mario called, as he and the rest of his party raced to where the old koopa was rocking back and forth on his chair. The old koopa looked up at the old group heading towards him and sighed to himself.

"Isn't it odd that three young boys are by themselves on the eve of the Festival of the Three Angels?" he asked as three boys stood at the edge of the steps looking into his wise, old eyes.

"Well, tell that to the princesses," Mario said as opened his backpack and presented the package with the emblems of the Mushroom Kingdom and Sarsaland.

"Ah...So, you're the messengers then please follow me," the old koopa said, and Mario unsure of the old koopa told his brother and Link to stay behind until he checked to see if this was for sure and partly because he wanted to get away from Navi and her squeaking.

Mario followed the old koopa to the back of the shack, raising a spectacle eyebrow as the old koopa pulled a large lever and a large mushroom-shaped cannon rose from the ground as rumbling knocked the Brooklyn-born boy on his bottom, while the old koopa scoffed. "Are you lazing around when the Festival of the Three Angels isonly a day away?" the old koopa asked, when suddenly they heard a large swooshing and they saw a rabbit like creature wearing a bandana with red lips and teeth. It knocked the old keeper and the young boy down, and jumped on the Mushroom cannon and to the skies.

"I have to find my friends!" Mario cried, and raced around to find Link and Luigi knocked out on the ground and Navi trying to wake them up. Mario grabbed Luigi's violin and unsuccessfully tried to play the 'Sonata of Awakening', and it only came out screechy and ugly, but still it brought Luigi back to consciousness. Luigi preceded in taking away his violin and played the actual song and it turned out a lovely and melodic.

"Alright, Littlest Violinist," Mario said, when Link started to arouse, but Luigi kept playing. Mario grabbed the yellow collar of his brother's uniform (again!), but when Mario looked back Link his eyes were lost in thought, and Navi was as usual trying to bring him back to reality. but Mario could see he was too far gone in his mind to even listen to Navi constant 'HEY! LISTEN!' "Nintendra to Link!"

Link popped back to life and looked up at the two older boys in front of him. "Oh, I was just thinking about," he began, before looking down at the bracelets that were bound around his arm, and said, "It's nothing."

"Hey, Link," Luigi said, seeing the bracelets on his arm. "What are those around your arm?"

"Oh, these are Gerudo bracelets. Mother asks me to wear them, because of a….really embarrassing birthmark," Link lied, and Mario knew he lied but sighed and pulled his brother towards the cannon and the three boys headed towards the cannon. After some last minute preparations, they were blasted towards the bundle of clouds where everything was made of fluffy white clouds, rainbows that could be driven on, and stalks as high as space. They looked on to see a gate of piercing gold where a crest with diamond wand was encrusted next to a giant bird that looked vaguely familiar and wolf with a coat of cool silver, but the crest was being pulled out by the rabbit thing and three boys ran after him. The masked rabbit seeing them come quickly finished ripping the crest from the gate and the gate locked.

"We've got to get those back!" Luigi cried as they raced on the rainbow paths as trains of gold and wood passed overhead with no tracks beneath it.

"Thanks for pointing out the obvious bro!" Mario sarcastically cried as they quickened their pace as they raced towards the rabbit thing, but he was really fast. He laughed at the three boys and fairies, causing Link to growl and the Mario bros to scowl and as they raced they were stopped by a giant, owl-like bird with four eyes.

"Well, well. Three young boys running after a rabbit thief that went left to right then to the left to the-" the owl said and by that time the three boys blacked-out. "And then you could take the other road, then this road to the right, and then to the left. Blah! Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Are you listening?
"Nope," Luigi said, slightly waking up, because he and the other two was so bored by his words.

"Would you like to hear it again?" the owl asked, and this quickly woke the two other boys.

"No!" they all said in unision. The owl flew away and they raced after the crest-stealing rabbit when he raced right past them. They chased him to the edge of the clouds, and they closed off all the sides where he could run. Suddenly to their surprise the rabbit broke the crest into three pieces and threw them off the clouds and laughed as the boys ran towards the edge to try and grab the crest only to see dark shadows grab the crest and pull them away.

"Well, we're stuck," Mario proclaimed, as they kept looking on at the empty spaces where the pieces of the crest once sat.
