Chapter Thirty Seven
Seven months Later…
"Anyone who could give Gai a handkerchief?" Kurenai called in an exasperated kind of way as she looked at her former classmate brawling his heart out in the farthest side of the room. She would let him cry all he wants if not for the expensive and new Yukata he was wearing. She helped him picked that one and she doesn't want him to ruin it. It was green and cottony and easily wet. "Gai… please save the tears for later."
"Ouch… be careful Kurenai. You are tying the sash to tight." Kakashi complained as the Yuhi woman wheeled him around to tie the long sash of his silver colored Yuakata. Everyone around the room was looking so formal and clean and he can't help but roll his visible eye. His other one—the sharingan—was craftily hidden by a few strands of hair. He let them grow long for that purpose. "And why…. In the name of Kami… are all of our classmates inside this room? It is so crowded in here."
Iruka and Anko were both sitting on the floor and looking all lovey dovey. Genma has taken his place in front of the vanity mirror that was specially placed there by the wedding organizers for the groom and was brushing his hair with care. Asuma and Raido along with Aoba were talking about something with grins in their faces. All of them sleek looking in their traditional costumes.
Yamato Tenzou was staring at his fingernails while a few others were huddled in a corner, observing the pampering and self decorations that Kakashi has to endure on his wedding day.
"You are the only one supposed to be in here Kure, since you will help me with dressing up and stuff." Kakashi continued complaining, watching Izumo shove Genma away from the vanity table to put powder on his face. He personally asked Kurenai for her help but bringing a mob with her was uncalled for.
Not to say a mob that was consisted of weird creatures.
"What in the hell…"
"As if I would let you and Kurenai alone." Asuma butted in, earning a few laughs from said creatures. "Not in a lifetime."
"Geez… I am getting married Asuma."
"Whatever."
Kurenai giggled as she finished tying the sash and began fixing the buttons. "Leave them Kaka… They love you. They just want to witness everything that is happening to you on your wedding day." It was true. Konoha's most wanted bachelor was about to tie the knot and the village was buzzing with excitement.
Unfortunately, a lot of girls were heartbroken at this very day.
"It's crowded." Kakashi let a thumb ran over his mask. They tried talking him to let go of the face covering but he would not budge. In the end, Kurenai insisted that a new one should be made to match his wedding yukata. "I hate crowds."
"Don't act like a spoiled brat just because you are going to be our future Hokage Scarecrow." Genma said then shoved Izumo out of his way to see his reflection on the mirror for the third time. Izumo cursed because he was still in the middle of powdering his nose. "Damn I look hotter than the groom."
"You know Genma, I really hate to tell you this but you are a very creepy fellow, you know that?" Raidou asked with a shake of his head. "Damn… don't rape your own reflection."
"My rival is getting married…" Gai sobbed and Iruka came over to comfort the Green Beast.
Kurenai clasped her hands together after putting the finishing touches on Kakashi's clothes. "All done! Okay…. What time is it?"
"Three forty-five." Someone answered from the group.
"Alright. Fifteen minutes before the bell starts to toll." Kurenai gestured for everyone to leave. Asuma, seeing what his lover was doing, began pushing the stubborn ones roughly out of the room. "Guys… time to go. You have to wait outside in front of the Hyuga mansion. Now… out… faster please."
Everyone scurried away excitedly and Kakashi was left behind with Genma.
"Ah… you have to go out now." Kakashi said, running a hand over his hair. Genma stretched from his chair like a cat and gave one last look at his overalls on the mirror. Kakashi rolled his eyes. "You look good… no need to fuss."
Genma laughed. "Are you afraid that Hinata is going to see me then marry me instead?"
"You wish." Kakashi responded confidently. Genma was still smiling but something in his mocha colored eyes tells Kakashi that the he has something to say. "What?"
"I knew you two were not cousins."
"What?" Kakashi snapped.
Genma grinned and clasped him in the back. "Congratulations Scarecrow. I am happy for you."

Ino squeaked when she saw the final outcome of all her handiwork. She assigned herself as Hinata's personal beautician and hair artist and she was very proud of the results. If Kakashi was not going to eat his heart out when he saw his little bride, Ino would surely kick his ass... Copy nin or not.
Hinata looked glorious in her blue kimono and her emerald were earrings divine. Being the princess of the Hyuga clan sure has its perks for Hiashi doesn't want any second rate in his eldest daughter's wedding. Hinata's hair was rolled like a bun on top of her head but a few strands frames her face in cute little curls. She looks like a fairy princess and Ino could do nothing but squeal.
Hinata faced her blonde friend and smiled gratefully. "Ino-chan… thank you—"
"Ooops… save that for later." Ino ward the bride with her hands. Hinata's eyes were glistening and the marriage ceremony hasn't even started. She would ruin her make-up that Ino painstakingly applied with care and precision. No… that was not going to happen. "Hinata…" Ino crossed her arms. "Do not mess my work."
"Oops… Gomen."
Ino smiled. "You are beautiful." It was true. Hinata was emitting some sort of glow that was surely not because of makeup and her expensive Kimono.
It was so much more…
"Ino-chan…" Hinata took her friend's hands. "You don't know how much I am thankful to have a friend like you."
"You are welcome." Ino said as she leaned closer to whisper on Hinata ear. "It's okay. I am going to be your cousin in law someday so… get used to it."
"Sister in law. Nii-san is more of a brother to me."
Both girls giggled.
There was a light knock and both girls turned. Ino suddenly fixed her hair and tried to pretend that she was busy on something just to avoid making eye-contact. It was weird but she was awkward when Neji Hyuga was around. Sure they were going out but something in the way he looks at her was making her conscious of everything.
Ino wondered what Neji might think of her dress.
"Hinata-sama… you look beautiful." Neji complimented, unknowing that Ino was mentally pouting. "The ceremony is about to start and Hiashi-sama is waiting for you downstairs."
Hinata studied her cousin with a worried gaze. "Nii-san. Please do not try any pranks with Shino and Kiba… or Ko-Niisan." For the past months, the men of her lives had unofficially started a game of pranks and Kakashi was always the target. They were already coping up with the fact that she and the Copy Nin were engage but it sort of became a game between the males and they were still at it. Naruto called it the "prank wars".
Kakashi even has his own team now, consisting of Gai, Uchiha Sasuke and Lady Tsunade.
Neji smiled. "This is your special day. I will personally beat anyone who dares."
Hinata gave the male Hyuga a hug before scurrying downstairs. Ino followed but was stopped when Neji grabbed her arm and pulled her back. "Hey."
Ino raised an eyebrow. "Oh good… you noticed me."
"Are you pouting?" Neji asked.
"No I'm not."
"You are Ino."
"I said I am not pouti—"
Neji silenced her with a kiss.

The wedding was traditional and it was nice. There were a lot of laughers but also crying—mostly the tears came from Gai and Lee but some came from Ino and Kurenai. Even Hinata could not stop from ruining her makeup when her friends started their congratulatory speeches. There were a few threats too—courtesy of Hinata's teammates and relatives and all were directed to the one and only Copy Nin.
But even if the threats came from different people, the point was the same.
"Take care of her for us."
Kakashi was more than happy to hear those threats, for he knew that he was going to take care of his wife from now on. He did not suffer for seventeen years just to let her go again or make her sad.
"Hey…" Hinata embraced Kakashi from behind. She just came out of the shower and saw that her newly proclaimed husband was standing by the window, leaning on it and his eyes on the bright moon. The wedding ended a few hours ago and after staying to party a little with their guests, they decided to retire to the privacy of their room—much to a lot of teases and crack jokes from their friends.
Kakashi did not move but let her embrace him. It felt nice and he held her arms. "Hey."
"Why are you looking at the moon?" Hinata's words were muffled since her face was pressed on his back. Kakashi's back was strong and she like the way she could feel his muscles from under the cloth. She may be too embarrassed to admit it but she was after all, a girl…
And girls love strong men.
"I am not looking at the moon. I am looking at the sky."
"Why?"
"I am thanking Minato-sensei."
Hinata smiled. "I am sure he and Kushina-Nee are happy for us."
Kakashi gently pried Hinata's hands from his waist so that he could turn around and face her. "Yeah." He leaned down and claimed her lips, wrapping an arm around her thin waist. He took her womanhood before marriage and it was not an honorable thing to do. If he could turn back the time, he would try his best to control himself that night to avoid such an act.
But he did not regret it. Not even once did he have regrets about it. He was human and so was Hinata— and humans make mistakes.
And some mistakes are too beautiful and too important to be regretted.
"I love you Hime." He murmured.
"I know." Hinata answered and closed her eyes. Kakashi raised her up by the waist and the next thing she knew, she was lying on top of the bed with him on top of her. He has no mask so she could see his face clearly. "I know." She murmured again and pulled his head down. "I love you too."
He tugged the binds of her robe and she tugged his black shirt up.
Kakashi raised an eyebrow. His wife was showing a little boldness tonight. "Eager aren't we?"
Hinata smiled.
"Well good for me then." He removed his shirt and Hinata showed courage by removing her robe herself. Kakashi wondered if the wine that they forced her to drink earlier was having an effect on Hinata's brain. It was traditional that the newlyweds share a glass in the middle of ceremony and Hinata was not a drinker.
Yeah. Maybe that was it.
"Too much sake?" He asked. Maybe his woman could not handle alcohol.
"No…I am not drunk." Hinata admitted as she blushed deep. "I j-just… want you to be satisfied." In their first intimate encounter, she was so nervous and so stiff that she feared Kakashi was not happy about it. She wanted to make it up to him by trying to be bold tonight.
Kakashi chuckled and wished that he could document everything that Hinata was saying. She was so adorable his heart was swelling with happiness…
And his heart was not the only organ that was swelling right now. The woman sure knows how to turn him on. "I am forever satisfied with you…for I am blessed to have you Hime." Kakashi smiled and leaned down to plant a kiss on her forehead as his hands started to roam. "And you are mine alone."
