Hi everyone. Sorry that this took so long. Busy holidays working and travelling. Still back to uni now so hopefully around the studying I'll have more time to write ;) Anyway. Enjoy

Chapter 37

'Many times, the decisions we make affect and hurt your closest friends and family the most. I have a lot of regrets in that regard. But God has forgiven me, which I am very thankful for. It has enabled me to forgive myself and move forward one day at a time' Lex Luger

Livie waited until her transfer had been finalized and all the details had been sorted before she decided to tell the rest of the team her decision to leave. She seemed to change her mood a lot about her decision. Sometimes she was excited. Other times she was terrified, one time she was even furious at Reid for making her make that decision, but Reid didn't take it too personally. He had mixed emotions about what he had done too.

The weekend after Livie accepted the job she decided to go to Boston and look for an apartment. As they had no case she invited Reid to come with her. The whole drive up they were both very quiet but as they got nearer to Boston Livie slipped her hand into his and they spent the rest of the drive like that.

Livie had scouted around on the internet for an apartment already and had narrowed down some potentials. The first two she knocked out pretty quickly, the first due to the loud neighbors that could be heard through the wall, the second due to the condition.

The third Reid thought was pretty nice; a small two bedroom apartment in a secure building not far from the FBI headquarters.

"I liked it" Livie said as they stopped for lunch in a small café "but I don't know… it didn't feel right you know."

"What was wrong with it?" Reid asked watching her as she shrugged.

"I don't know" she said "it just didn't feel like… home."

Reid watched her for a minute before he reached across the table and took her hand.

"Is your heart in this?" he asked and Livie looked up.

"What do you mean" she asked.

"Is your heart in this" Reid repeated "because I don't think it is. You need to realize that you are going to be living here in just over a week. You need to start looking with your heart."

Livie eyed him uncertainly before she smiled "you're right" she said.

"Course I am" Reid said with a smile "I am provably a genius."

Livie rolled her eyes and gave him a shove on the shoulder "it's just hard to look ahead when I feel like my heart will remain with you" she murmured. Reid gave her a small smile before looking away to hide the sadness he felt in his heart. It felt wrong to be encouraging her to go but he knew it was the right thing to do.

After they had finished their lunch they headed off to the next location Reid saw that Livie was studying the place a bit more intently than she had been the last time.

The apartment was in a great location, very close to where she would be working. It was quite small but as he looked around Reid sensed this would be the one. It had a lot of character with arched doorways and large windows that let the light come streaming in.

Livie looked around carefully, walking around each room studying it before she turned to Reid. "My home may always be with you but this seems like a good place to keep it safe for now." She said and Reid managed to smile.

Reid waited whilst she signed all the contracts before he took her for a walk through Boston to a park where they settled on a bench together and watched the world go by together. After a short while of just sitting together content Reid reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box and held it out to Livie who looked at it in surprise.

"What is this" she asked looking at him and he smiled "open it and see" he said.

Slowly Livie opened the little box and a smile slipped onto her face as she carefully lifted the little necklace out of the box studying the small twisting loop dangling from the thin chain.

"The symbol for infinity" she said gently "it's beautiful."

"It's so that you know that even whilst we are going to be apart I'll always love you" Reid said softly "it's cheesy I know but I want you to remember that I'll always be there for you and that you will always be in my heart."

Livie smiled and reached out to cup his cheek "it's not cheesy" she murmured "it's so sweet."

She gently kissed him on the lips before she leaned against him. "I'm going to miss this" she murmured and Reid sighed as he gently kissed the top of her head wrapping his arms around her "me too" he whispered in her ear.

They stayed in a hotel overnight in Boston, trying to enjoy their time together as much as possible by going out for a meal followed by a leisurely stroll afterwards and then heading back to the hotel where they spent most of the night making out between the sheets.

When they awoke the next morning they lay there together enjoying the sounds of the city life below their window.

"Do you remember that our first case was here" Livie asked as she traced circles on Reid's chest. He nodded "I remember" he said "I remember our walk together that first night. I remember hearing about what happened to you in the observation room when you tried to save Sophie."

"Yeah I bet that was a shock" Livie said looking up at him with a smile on her face. She then sighed and rested her head on his shoulder again. "At least I'll have these memories to remember you by" she murmured "When I walk around this city I can still remember our time together."

Reid gave a weak smile and turned his head into the top of her head breathing in the sweet smell of her hair.

They stayed like that for a long while before deciding it was time to get ready and leave.

Originally they had intended to drive straight back to Quantico but as they neared New York Livie tentatively asked if he would mind heading into New York for a night. Reid said he didn't mind because in truth part of him wanted to be able to say goodbye to the family who had so graciously welcomed him into their home before Livie left for Boston.

The drive was quiet at first before Livie looked over at him "Kaylee is going to miss you" she said softly "she dotes on you"

Reid smiled "I am going to miss her too" he said "she really helped me see what I had missed out on as a kid."

Livie smirked "she is good at bringing out the child in everyone" she mused "dangerous combination when you add my father."

Reid chuckled and slowed the car as they joined the traffic heading into New York. "It is so strange" Livie whispered looking at the buildings that slowly began to tower over them "I feel so torn… like I don't know where I belong anymore, this is where I grew up, Quantico is where I feel most at home but now Boston is where I shall be living. I feel like I belong in three different places and it confuses me."

"You'll settle down" Reid said gently "just like you always do."

Livie smiled at him before she turned her attention to looking back out the window, watching the city fly by.

When they arrived at the loft complex Livie headed up to her childhood home and slipped the key into the lock and let herself in.

"Hello" she called "anyone home?"

"Livie" came a surprised voice and Livie grinned as her mother came out of her father's study looking very surprised "hey mom" she said and Kate smiled as she moved forward to embrace her daughter.

"It is so good to see you" she said as she held her daughter tightly.

"You too mom" Livie whispered hugging her mother tightly.

They remained locked in their embrace before Kate pulled back to smile warmly at Reid. "Hi Spencer" she said "it is good to see you again too."

Reid smiled at her as Livie looked around. "It's too quiet" she said "where is dad and Kaylee?"

"Your dad took Kaylee and the boys to the movies" Kate said "but I am surprised they aren't back already so they shouldn't be too long."

Livie grinned and nodded as her mother urged them towards the kitchen for drinks. "So what are you guys doing here" she asked as she made them all some coffee "nice necklace by the way" she added eyes on the infinity symbol round Livie's neck. Livie smiled before she explained the reason for the visit so soon after the other one.

"Err we were in Boston for the weekend and on our way back we thought we should pop in and say hi" she explained.

Kate smiled "well I am certainly glad you did. It is good to see you both. How was Boston?"

"It was good" Livie said "Wondered around and saw the sights. It was really nice."

"I am glad" Kate said as they both moved over to sit on the couches.

They talked for a little while longer before looking up as the door opened and Kaylee came flouncing in and moved straight over to the coat closet.

"How was the movie" Kate asked.

"It was ok" Kaylee said with her head in the closet.

"Where's your dad" Kate asked.

"He got held up in the lobby my Mrs Medina" Kaylee said "I escaped because I didn't want to stand there forever again."
"You are mean for leaving him" Kate said "but anyway why don't you turn around and see who is here."

Kaylee frowned as she turned before a huge smile slid onto her face and she leapt forward to fling her arms around both Livie and Spencer shoving them back into the cushions of the couch as Livie laughed loudly "oh I have missed your enthusiasm baby girl" she said hugging her sister tightly.

"I can't believe you are here again" Kaylee gasped.

"Yeah I'm beginning to think I am here more than I am in Quantico" Livie said grinning over the top of her sister's head at her mom who grinned.

They all looked up as the front door opened and Rick came in muttering "you are a big ol traitor Kaylee Nicole Castle. You know you are meant to stay and give me moral support and…"

He broke off when he saw his youngest daughter hugging her older sister.

"Jeez Kaylee I didn't know you were psychic" he said excitedly and Livie laughed as she leapt up and bounced forward to hug her father. "Hey daddy" she said "Hey honey" he said with a smile holding her tightly "good to see you."

Livie smiled as she pulled away to grin up at him before she turned and made her way back to the couch where Reid was sitting and settled herself next to him and slipped her hand into his.

"So what brings you to the big apple" Rick asked as he sat down next to Kate smiling.

"Eh passing through on our way back from Boston" Livie said.

"What were you doing in Boston" Kaylee asked.

"That is kind of why I am here" Livie said and she shifted in her seat. She shuffled around trying to get comfortable relaxing as she felt Reid squeeze her hand gently. "Ok I need you to all listen to me and let me finish before you interrupt ok."

Both her parents glanced at each other before they slowly looked back and nodded.

Livie steeled herself before she began.

"About a week ago, not long after we left here actually we were in Vegas visiting Spencer's mom and I got a phone call from this Captain in Boston. Those Detectives who were consulting with you on that case that you were working on whilst I was down had told their boss that I was really helpful in their case and to cut a long story short. They offered me a job in Boston."

Both Kate and Rick blinked in surprise. Kaylee frowned.

"It would be a profiling job and I would be the lead profiler, giving profiles for all the detectives. It seems like an amazing opportunity that I doubt would come around often. More of a once in a lifetime opportunity wouldn't you agree?" Livie elaborated

Everyone remained silent seemingly not knowing what to say. Livie looked between the three of them before she gave an awkward smile "ok done. You guys can talk now" she half begged.

"Livie that's amazing" Kate said recovering herself first as she rose and moved towards her daughter who stood so that she could hug her mother.

"Thanks mom" she mumbled as she hugged her mother. Reid looked over at Rick and Kaylee. Rick was smiling, Kaylee however was still frowning.

"So have you decided what you are going to do?" Rick asked and Livie bit her lip. "I already accepted it" she said "that is why we were in Boston, I was looking at apartments and Spence came to help me. I found a really great little place not far from where I am going to be working in the sweetest little apartment building. It looks great."

That was when Kaylee interrupted, her young mind focused on one thing.

"What about you and Spencer" she asked "is he going to be moving to Boston too?"

Livie paused sensing that her little sister wasn't going to be liking her answer.

"No honey" she said gently "Spencer is going to stay in Quantico with the rest of his team."

"So when are you going to see him" Kaylee asked.

Livie looked at Reid who gave her a small smile and slowly she reached out to catch hold of her hand as she turned to face her sister again.

"We aren't going to see each other Kaylee bear" she said and Kaylee's blue eyes went as wide as saucers.

"You're breaking up" she half cried in horror.

"No" Livie said soothingly reaching out to catch hold of her sister's hands "Kaylee we aren't breaking up."

"Yes you are" Kaylee said scowling "but I don't want you to Livie; I like Spencer, I want you to stay with him."

"Honey we aren't breaking up" Livie said again "we're…" she broke off and looked at Reid who stared back at her as she tried to find the words because in truth they still hadn't figured out what was really going to happen in their relationship.

She stared into his eyes before she smiled "we are hitting pause" she said softly "we love each other very much… but we want what is best for each other and nothing less. We aren't breaking up but we are going to say goodbye."

Reid nodded agreeing with what she was saying and they both looked back at Kaylee who was glaring at them both "maybe in a year or so we can revaluate it" he said to her and she stared at him not looking like she believed him "but your sister has been offered an amazing opportunity Kaylee, she'll never get another opportunity like this so she has to take it now."

"Why can't you go with her?" Kaylee asked.

"His job is in Quantico Kale" Livie said gently "and I don't want him to lose his job over me, beside the team need him. Without his constant flow of knowledge I think it might take them a lot longer to close cases."

She reached out and cupped her sister's cheek "this is a good think Kaylee bear" she said gently "trust me."

Kaylee stared at her before she looked over at her parents who had remained silent throughout the encounter who both gave her encouraging smiles before she looked back at Livie who was still watching her.

"Congrats on the job" she said before she leapt to her feet and bolted up the stairs.

"That went well" Livie said slowly and everyone looked at each other.

"So you two are really pressing pause" Kate asked and Livie and Reid both looked at each other.

"Yeah" Livie said "neither of us really want to but we decided it was for the best."

She looked at Reid who gave her an awkward smile as she rose "I'm gonna see how mad at me Kaylee is" she said and slowly she headed up the stairs.

Kate waited a moment before she headed up the stairs after her daughter leaving Reid and Rick sitting alone.

They sat in silence for a while before Rick sighed and rose to his feet. "And here I was thinking that we were going to be having wedding bells before I knew it."

Reid smiled awkwardly and shifted in his seat as Rick fetched them both a drink. "Can't say I'm not surprised" he said "I honestly thought you two were going to spend the rest of your lives together."

"Maybe we will" Reid said accepting the drink he was offered.

He glanced up the stairs "do you think Kaylee is ok" he asked and Rick nodded "she'll be ok" he said "she has just gotten quite attached to you. You are the first serious boyfriend that Livie has ever had and she likes you. She talks about you and Livie all the time and loves all those magic tricks you show her. She just doesn't like the idea of you being gone."

Slowly he sat down on the other couch and looked at him. "Enough about Kaylee" he said "are you ok?"

Reid looked at him "what do you mean" he asked.

Rick gave him a small smile.

"I know you love my daughter" he said "only a fool would deny it. How are you going to feel when she leaves for Boston?"

Reid didn't answer at first. He just stared into his glass thinking before he looked up at Rick. "I don't know" he said truthfully "I'll always love Livie. Hell I think I will love her more than I could ever love myself. Which is why I told her to take the job in Boston."

Rick frowned "You told her to take that job" he questioned and Reid nodded "JJ and Emily gave me some pretty good advice" he said "they told me to figure out what was important; having Livie with me or her having a future… and I chose her future."

Rick smiled at him "I knew there was something that I liked about you Spencer" he said "you have one of the biggest hearts I have ever seen."

Reid smiled awkwardly "yeah but I don't know what I am going to do without her."

Rick sighed "Livie loves you as much as you love her. I think that if you give it time you two will end up getting the dream that you both want."

"What if that job is everything she wants" Reid asked.

"Trust me" Rick said "if I know Livie I know that she will want more than the dream job. She is stronger than anyone I know and she is also smart. And I know you are too. I am sure between the two of you, you will figure something out."

He studied him for a minute "are you going to be ok" he asked.

Reid shrugged "I'll be fine" he said softly "she is what is important to me" he added and Rick gave him a small smile.

Meanwhile upstairs Livie was sitting on the edge of Kaylee's bed trying to talk to her little sister who was lying facing away from her refusing to look at her.

"Come on Kaylee bear" she whispered "Please talk to me honey."

"No" Kaylee said stubbornly "I don't want to talk to you right now."

Livie looked over and saw that her mom was standing in the doorway listening to what she was saying.

"You picked one hell of a time to start your teenage attitude Kale" she said. Kaylee scowled "haha" she said.

"Kaylee you know I love Spencer" Livie said gently "I'll always love him."

Slowly Kaylee rolled over to look at Livie who smiled at her "then why are you leaving him" she asked.

Livie sighed "I don't want to" she said "but Kaylee I have to. I mean I have my future to think about kiddo."
"You aren't thinking about your future with Spencer" Kaylee said and Livie sighed "Kaylee Spencer told me to take the job" she said "he is the one that told me to accept it when I was willing to stay with him in Quantico."

Kaylee frowned "why" she asked making Livie smile "because he didn't want to hold me back I guess" she said reaching out to stroke her sister's hair away from her face.

"Are you going to be happy" Kaylee asked uncertainly

Livie smiled "I am going to miss him a lot" she admitted "but this is a good thing Kaylee I promise."

"Are you and Spencer going to keep seeing each other?" Kaylee asked and Livie bit her lip.

"I don't think so" she said "but I think we are going to stay friends."

"That's boring" Kaylee said and Livie smiled "but it's solid" she said "means we can stay in contact."

"Ok" Kaylee said sighing. She didn't look happy but she seemed that she was going to accept it. Slowly she sat up on the bed "I love you Livie" she said softly.

Livie smiled and leaned forward to hug her sister "I love you too sweet girl" she whispered.

She looked over at her mother who was standing in the doorway and smiled at her as she smiled back before she turned and headed back down the stairs.

Livie stayed with her little sister for a short while longer before she pulled away with an encouraging smile "I'm gonna go see dad" she said gently "you coming down."

"I think I'll stay here for a while" Kaylee said and Livie nodded and kissed the top of her sister's head before she made her way back down the stairs to where Reid and her parents were sitting.

"She ok" Reid asked and Livie nodded "she's ok… just a bit confused but she is happier now."

Reid nodded as Livie carefully lowered herself onto the couch beside him.

"So when are you going to start in Boston" Kate asked and Livie gave a small smile "I start next week" she admitted and Kate raised her eyebrows "that is a quick turn around" she said and Livie nodded "a bit too fast for my liking" she said softly "I still have a lot of work and packing to do. And I still have to tell the team that I accepted the job."

"You haven't told them yet" Rick asked "why not"

"I wanted to finish sorting things out before I told everyone" Livie said "and after I found somewhere to live I came to tell you. We'll have the team round for dinner or something."

"Well I am sure they are going to be as happy for you as we are" Kate said with a smile and Livie nodded.

As she began to talk to her parents Reid slowly rose and headed up the stairs to use the bathroom thinking about how he loved this family and how he was going to miss it when he was gone.

As he headed back to join the others he stopped as he spotted Kaylee sat at the top of the stairs listening to her sister and parents talk about her future. "Hey" he said and slowly Kaylee looked up at him. "Hi" she mumbled before she rested her head back on her knees.

Reid hesitated before he slowly moved forward and sat down next to her. "What's up" he asked looking over at her.

"I like it when you come and visit" Kaylee said softly "I'm gonna miss you."

"I'll miss you too" Reid said gently "but you know if you need me you can call me."

"Will you teach me more magic" Kaylee asked and he nodded "every time I learn a new one I will send it to you" he promised and she smiled before turning serious.

"Why did you tell Livie to take that job" she asked "aren't you going to miss her?"

Reid sighed "of course I am going to miss her" he said "but I love Livie and I want what is best for her and I think that this job will be good for her."

Kaylee nodded slowly "one day you'll get back together though right" she asked.

Reid smiled "I hope so" he said.

"You will" Kaylee said as she leapt to her feet "I mean Livie says you are her soul mate, so you have to stay together" she added before she turned and charged down the stairs towards her family. Slowly Reid followed her smiling at the idea of he and Livie still having a future together.

Kaylee seemed to have cheered up a bit more now but Livie had quietened once again. Reid suspected that now she had told her family everything seemed a bit more real.

She managed to interact with her little sister all night but once they had settled down in her bed she looked up at him "I don't want you to wait for me" she whispered "if you find someone else who will make you happy then you should go for it, you know… seize the day."

Reid stared down at her "Livie don't be an idiot" he said "You are the only one who makes me happy."

"But I don't want you to feel as though you have to wait." Livie said

"I don't care." Reid said "you are my one true love Livie I wouldn't care about waiting. As Kaylee said you are my soul mate and I don't want to lose that."

Livie stared at him before she gently entwined her hand in his as she shifted herself up the bed so that she could kiss his lips as he ran his other hand through her hair.

"I love you" Livie whispered and Reid smiled "I love you too" he murmured "over time and space I will always love you no matter what."

Livie smiled and rested her head on his chest listening to his heartbeat snuggling down as he pulled the blankets up over her to keep her warm as they settled down to rest for the night content in each other's arms.

XO

The next morning they had to head back to Quantico. Kaylee wanted them to stay longer but regretfully Reid had to tell her that he needed to be at work the next day. "Can I come to Quantico with you" Kaylee asked making both Livie and Reid smile

"Sorry kiddo" Livie said "not this time but you will have to come visit me in Boston when I am settled yeah."

Kaylee nodded watching as they readied their belongings ready to leave before she ran over to give them both a hug.

Livie smiled as she hugged Kaylee tightly kissing the top of her head affectionately "I'll see you soon Kaylee bear" she murmured "I'll be down for your birthday ok"

Kaylee nodded and slowly stepped back so that her parents could hug Livie. "So are you two going to keep seeing each other" Kate asked and Livie smiled "I hope so" she said "but we will see how it goes."

"Ok" Kate said "take care of yourself now won't you."

"I will" Livie promised "and I'll see you soon"

She moved to hug her father who enveloped her in his arms "make sure you catch all the bad guy and make sure everyone know who's boss" Livie just rolled her eyes as she pulled back to grin at him "I will"

Slowly she and Reid made their way down to the car and slowly clambered in before they headed off out of the underground garage joining the usual throng of Sunday traffic heading out of the city before speeding up on their way back to Quantico.

They were halfway there when Livie's phone rang and she pulled it out of her bag smiling when she saw the name flashing up.

"Hey Garcia" she said "what's up?"

She listened for a few minutes before the grin widened "that sounds like a great idea, yeah I am definitely game. Totally… we'll see you then."

She ended the call before she grinned at Reid "Rossi decided to have a barbeque at his house tonight" she said "the whole team is going."

"Sounds like fun" Reid said glancing over at her.

"And a good opportunity to tell everyone I am leaving" she said and Reid nodded.

When they got back to Reid's apartment they headed up and began to get ready.

"It's so strange" Livie murmured "knowing that this is all going to end soon"

"We had a good run though right" Reid said and Livie smiled "the best" she said "and I am going to treasure each moment we have had together."

Reid nodded glancing at her as he moved into the bedroom. He felt his stomach clench as he looked round the room seeing some of Livie's things in boxes.

Livie pulled out a pretty jade green dress that she carefully slipped into before she began to brush out her long wavy hair.

"How do you think the team is going to take it" she asked.

"They'll be happy for you" Reid said "just as I am. But they'll miss you, as will I"

"I will miss them too" Livie said "they taught me so much about profiling and being strong."

"You were already pretty feisty when you arrived" Reid said and Livie smirked at him before checking her phone. "You know we should probably get going otherwise we are going to be late."

Reid nodded and quickly readied himself before they headed back out.

When they arrived at Rossi's large mansion Livie let out a sigh as she stared up at the house. "I am seriously considering writing a book. It seems like a good career that pays well."

Reid chuckled as they stepped out of the car and headed up towards the front door.

Before they got there Garcia came bounding out. "Good you are here" she cried "come on in, everyone else is here already."

She grabbed both their hands and dragged them both into the house making Livie laugh as she and Reid staggered struggling not fall over as they were dragged in.

"Hey guys" Morgan said meeting them in the hall "hey Morgan" Livie said reaching up to give him a hug.

"So where is everyone?" she asked as Morgan stepped back "out back" he said leading the way to Rossi's huge lawn where they found the rest of the team seated around the table as Rossi stood beside a large barbeque.

"Well hello" he called spotting them "glad you could join us."

Livie grinned "sorry we are late" she said "we had to drive back from New York as we went to visit my family."

"And how's that sweet kid sister of yours still in total control of Reid" Morgan asked making Livie grin "yep" she said "it is rather amusing to be honest."

Reid pulled a face before grinning as Jack and Henry came dashing up to him eager to greet him. Livie moved forward with Garcia to sit beside JJ and Emily accepting the glass of wine that JJ offered her.

"So why did you go to New York" Garcia asked "didn't you just get back from there."

"Yeah but I had to talk to them about something."
"Talk about what" Morgan asked as he sat down on the other side of Garcia.

"Something I need to talk to you guys about too" Livie said shifting in her seat.

"Ah ah" Rossi said as he placed a plate of burgers and sausages on the table "eat first, serious talk later."

Everyone quickly sat down and tucked into their food chatting about all the good times they had before Jack and Henry headed in to watch a movie on one of the massive TV in his living room.

Once everyone had settled all eyes turned to Livie who smiled awkwardly at them before she leaned back in her seat. "I guess you want me to talk now right."

Everyone nodded so she sighed. "Some of you may already know but I got offered a job in Boston the other week."

Garcia, Rossi and Morgan all blinked and frowned at her before Livie spoke again.

"What you all don't know is that I accepted the job a week ago, I start next Monday. I have been searching for places to places to live this weekend and when I found somewhere yesterday I decided it was time to tell my parents so on our way back from Boston we stopped by in New York to tell my parents. Kaylee wasn't that impressed to be honest. Though I think she was more angry that I wasn't taking Reid with me."

Everyone remained quiet listening to her as she spoke and Reid quickly noticed that she was rabbling so he reached out to squeeze her knee gently making her pause and smile at him.

"Ok any questions" she asked looking back at everyone who was sat watching her.

"Um wow" Morgan said "that is amazing"

Livie smiled at them "yeah it is" she said "but it is also scary."

"I can't believe you are leaving" Garcia said looking slightly crestfallen "you can't leave, what are we going to do without you."

Livie just smiled at her. "You lasted before I arrived Garcia don't be silly. You'll be fine."

"But you are part of our family now" she said and Livie gave her a comforting smile as Emily patted her on the shoulder gently.

Livie patiently answered the questions that they asked her about the new job before quietly excusing herself.

Instantly everyone looked at Reid who sighed having expected this. "So how do you feel about this" Rossi asked.

"I'm happy for her" he said "I don't want her to lose out on the opportunity of a lifetime because of me so I am happy for her."

Everyone gave him a pointed look. "How do you really feel about it" Morgan asked.

Reid gave him a small smile "I am going to miss her" he said gently "so much."

Everyone gave him comforting smiles as Livie reappeared from the house smiling at them all as she quickly sat back down accepting the drink she was offered.

"So you going to miss us" Morgan asked and Livie gave him a pointed look "of course I am guys" she said "I am going to miss you all. I have had the most amazing experience with you guys. You have taught me so much and I am never going to forget that. I will miss you all so much."

"Well we certainly have had a great run" Emily said with a smile "it has been fun… remember when you first arrived and you had so much fun taunting Morgan. I was impressed with how you handled yourself against him."

"So fun" Livie mused as everyone laughed.

They spent the rest of the evening reminiscing about all the good times they had had together whilst Livie had been on her internship with them. By the time they finished everyone was smiling at the memories they described.

"I want to thank you all" Livie said suddenly "You taught me stuff that I couldn't possibly have learnt from books and theory. You helped me grow from this graduate who hadn't the foggiest idea of what it meant to be a profiler and trained me into an FBI Agent."

"You were easy to train" Hotch said "JJ made a good choice when she chose you."

Livie smiled at them "Well I feel thoroughly prepared for the future thanks to you."

Rossi nodded and lifted his glass in the air. "To the future" he said and smiling everyone lifted their glasses again.

"To the future."

"Even though the future seems far away, it is actually beginning right now." Mattie Stepanek
