A/N Hey I'm back. Sorry if it seems like this story is dragging its feet a bit but I really don't want it to end. So yeah, I admit that I'm squeezing everything I can out of it.

You can't really blame me though.

Thanks to Maiannaise and CreativityCaged830 for your kind reviews. This chapter is for you guys, of course.

I own nothing

"Okay," Seth said calmly, dropping his fork and shattering the tension filled silence, "Since no one else is going to ask I will." He declared before turning to face my father, a look of curiosity painting his childish features. "Do you even need to eat Dude? I mean, you probably do, everything has to but... Human food can't be it! Don't you need, I don't know, children's tears and broken dreams or something?"

I snorted out a laugh, quickly covering it up with a cough when my father sent me a glare. Molten blue eyes turned to give the young wolf their full attention as Lucifer mulled over his words. "I do eat, but yes you are right. Human food does nothing... Dude." He finished lamely, scooping up more meat and forking it into his mouth.

As my father continued eating I gave Seth an exasperated look, muttering his question under my breath with a disbelieving shake of my head. Lucifer decided he had more to say then, "But yes, children's tears and broken dreams."

I jolted back when Seth visibly paled, turning to give the man—sorry, sorry demon—next to me a scolding gaze." Stop it." I chided, "You'll freak them out even more."

I rolled my eyes as he shrugged innocently, wide blue eyes barely hiding his mirth at the situation. I scoffed and continued eating, happy to have a real meal instead of the food my father had been boiling on the stove.

"If that's possible," Paul mumbled dejectedly from where he sat across from me, eyes flicking between my father and myself. Apparently Lucifer still enforced rules from the Middle Ages, making a man and woman sit on opposite sides of the table instead of next to each other.

Etiquette my dear Drew. Etiquette.

I still didn't know why the fact that Lucifer was such a gentleman continued to shock me. It should have been obvious, what with his neatly pressed suits, perfect manners, bowing and clean way of speaking. He was practically the embodiment of all things proper and polite. And I didn't seem to have inherited any of it.

"I must admit," Lucifer spoke up, making everyone straighten in their seats. "The child... of the vampire and the human. It is intriguing." Piercing sapphire eyes met every gaze they could, almost seeming to search for answers. I could see Jake bristle out of the corner of my eye and I closed my eyes tiredly. His imprint, my mind supplied.

"You mean she is intriguing." Jake corrected through clenched teeth. His reaction caught the demon's attention and all mirth drained from his figure as he leant forward, steepling his hands under his chin. Jake tried to hold the stare but eventually dropped brown eyes to his plate, still grinding his teeth harshly.

When his large head lifted, I gave what I can only describe as a glare of warning. I may have been Lucifer's daughter, one of the only to survive coming into their powers but I was only a mere human. He was a demon. Safe to say that in any event or fight he would win hands down; neither I nor the pack would stand a chance if we really succeeded in pissing him off. He had been polite and patient with us so far, but we could not forget his true nature.

A nature that was often the topic of horror movies and novels alike.

"What about the kid's interesting?" I asked gruffly, still frowning across the table at Jacob. I felt my father shift next to me, effectively drawing my attention. He looked thoughtful as he leant back again, rubbing a hand across his hairless chin with narrowed eyes.

"I've seen it before, but never a case where the mother survives." He admitted, "It is impressive. A show of great will and strength of the maternal side." He finished, nodding once and sparing Jake a quick smile. Running a hand through onyx coloured hair, he sighed, "Often with my own offspring the same rule seems to apply. The mother often dies during childbirth."

I chuckled, "Look's like I'm a special case in more than one aspect hm?" I hummed, smiling over at the demon who claimed to be my father. No not claimed. He had proven it, absently lifting and carrying things over to him with a mere wave of his hand or a blink of brilliant blue eyes.

He smiled gently, "Most definitely."

Seth was biting his lip, watching Lucifer and I talk with a worried expression, like he was trying to work something out in his head. I almost felt sorry for the kid, absent-mindedly wondering if he would hurt his brain with how hard he appeared to be thinking.

I cocked my head, finishing my meal with a flourish, "Hey, Seth, you alright?" I asked aloud, frowning deeply when he started back, seemingly startled by my sudden question. All eyes narrowed in on the young member, worry etching into handsome features around the table.

"I... uh... W-well I was wondering about something." He stammered out, not acting at all like the bouncy and bright kid we all knew. I then noticed that inexperienced eyes were glued to the demon beside me with an almost burning velocity.

Dad seemed to realise it too because he breathed in deeply, seeming to be frustrated but nodded his head once nonetheless, "Ask away child." He said roughly.

"Well... What do you really look like?" He finally forced out, blinking once and jolting back when Lucifer let out a barking laugh, almost throwing his head back. I turned to frown at him, curiosity now clear in my expression as I waited for him to stop laughing.

Even when the sound had died from the air, the amusement still curved his lips. "Oh human, you do not want to know." He allowed, nodding once before standing a straightening his suit. "Now, I must take my leave. I do not enjoy being on the surface for so long." He pushed his chair back with not even a sound and placed a burning hand on my bare shoulder. "I will see you again soon Drew, you powers have such potential." He praised, turning sharply on his heel and beginning to leave the room.

"Thank you for coming, Sir." Sam managed to get out, almost fumbling over what to call the man. Sir seemed to slip out without warning and I smiled gently at the Alpha's attempt at manners. Oh well, the poor sod tried. And succeeded if I had any say in the matter.

"It was a pleasure, I do not often involve myself in my children's life but I find myself craving company. What better than that of another supernatural creature?" He wondered aloud before turning to stride down the hallway. I stood quickly, intent on asking a final question as I stumbled after him.

I froze in the hallway when he turned to give me a wink, disappearing with a loud crack and a handful of a blue tinted smoke. I blinked in shock a few times, waiting as the mist evaporated, leaving me with no sign that the Lord Demon had even been here. I sighed and turned again, shaking my head as I wandered back into the dining room.

I was met with a lot of angry glares. I smiled weakly, "What?" I squeaked.

"You invited a demon into my house." Emily snapped, hands on hips. I swallowed and opened my mouth to argue that I told her he was coming when she began again. "You had no idea what could've happen tonight. He could've decided we weren't worth the risk or effort and killed us all. He could've decided that us knowing his face and identity wasn't safe enough for him." She released an angry huff into the silent room. "Do you not have any common sense?"

I chewed on the bottom of my cheek to keep from snapping back, waiting as the pack snarled under their breath. "Was he with you the whole day?" Paul demanded, showing it was his turn to chew me out by taking a dangerous step forward. "I suppose it would explain the damn plasters and bandages covering your fucking body. Why didn't you tell us the moment he appeared? You don't know that he's on our side, or if he's a friendly. So what if he saved you life once! Who in this damned pack hasn't?" I watched as he chewed over his words, feeling anger and hurt curl in my gut but refraining from acting upon it as his nostrils flared in anger.

"We need to have a Pack meeting." Sam's deep voice rumbled through the room, effectively breaking the silence Paul's hurtful words had brought on. Paul looked as though he wasn't even half way done but Sam stopped him with a levelled glare. "Drew, I think it'd be best if you went home."

I blinked back the tears that were beginning to blur my vision as I nodded shortly. With a sharp turn and not a word I began stalking to the front door, aware of a soft voice asking me to wait. I recognized Emily's timid voice and threw it to the back of my mind. If she wanted my damn ears for something she could've said it when she was all but screaming into my face five seconds ago.

It was quick drive from Emily's house to my own and I violently slammed the front door behind me, cursing under my breath the whole time. Only I would do something so stupid as to invite a fucking demon to dinner with a pack of rabid dogs. I hissed under my breath as I raked a hand through coal coloured hair. In the distance I could faintly hear thunder rumbling but chose to ignore it. My pacing brought me to the back door then back to the large bay window at the front of the house.

Back door.

Bay window.

Back door.

Bay window.

Back do—

I jumped and let out a petrified yelp when lightning struck the ground right outside the door, no doubt leaving a scorch mark down the side of the house. I waited, trembling slightly for the thunder to answer, giving a ground rumbling bellow. I swallowed thickly and shook out my shoulders before continuing, no longer concerned with the erratic weather. It had been acting up plenty as of late and I didn't have the time to play weather girl.

Another strike, this time a few feet from my precious car. I narrowed my eyes as the ground literally shook with the next round of thunder, the darkening clouds seeming to move outside the window. Slight worry was now etching itself into my frame and I backed away from the window, feeling my mouth dangle open as I looked around the room.

I look up nervously, watching the ceiling light swing back and forth ominously. I bit my lip as I waited for the lights to flash off, plummeting me into darkness. Isn't that what happens during severe thunderstorms? I mean it had happened with one much milder than this, only weeks after we had arrived in La Push. A simple storm cutting off power and the phone lines.

So why was one so much more vicious leaving my lights and power on?

I didn't get anything from the over head light, not even a flicker as I absently scoped around outside, looking for any sign of another strike. The weather seemed to be calming quickly and I frowned at the second behavioural change it had shown. Why could nothing make up their minds nowadays?

Demon's who after eighteen years reveal themselves. Boyfriends who claim that you're their soul mate only to abruptly be pissed off at you and all but kicking you out. Friends who go from loving and caring to demonic and evil in point three seconds!

Another flash of lightening, although it didn't have the strength to hit the ground. I froze when the thunder followed, a mild roar compared to the recent activity. When the noise had fallen silent I continued with my silent tirade.

I mean, what right did they have to get so angry at me for something so simple. Lucifer could be a valuable ally in any fight and considering all the trouble the Cullen's seemed to be going through they could use him. I mean, wouldn't you want a demon as a friend, not an enemy?

As I spun, kicking out at the leg of the couch in frustration a fourth strike hit the ground. I could almost feel the impact it made, and instead of fear coursing through me, adrenaline did, causing me to spin and storm to the back door, throwing it open. The ground still smoked slightly from the collision, faint grey wisps being smothered in the now heavy rain. The storm was gratifying and I relished in the feel of my wet hair plastering to my brow and the nape of my neck as the cool water only proved to fuel my anger.

"What right do they have," I murmured, words drowned out by the rain. I could barely see five feet in front of me as thunder rolled through the black clouds above my head. I spared the sky a critical look, watching as the clouds seem to cave in on themselves almost resembling that of a hurricane formation.

I could faintly make out the shrill ringing of a cell phone and I frowned, moving back into the house, water coming off me in streams. How was a cellular device even working during a storm like this? How would the signal reached more than a pathetic three feet? I picked up my phone with a huff, pressing answer and holding it against my ear.

"What?" I barked impatiently. I wanted nothing more than to be outside, treasuring the new found freedom I had uncovered before the storm ended. I always use to enjoy the calm that a storm would bring and I loved the smell that use to linger when the rain had stopped. Now, I loved it all the more.

"Drew? It's Paul. Are you alright?" Concern was lacing his voice and it only made anger race through me. Why would he care?

"I'm fine."

"I'm trying to come home; the storm came out of nowhere!" He continued and I could faintly hear the howling of the wind through his end.

I shook my head, knowing he couldn't see the gesture. "No it's fine." I growled, "Stay there with your precious pack."

"Drew, please don't. I'm sorry, I really am. You know I didn't mean any of that. It just scares me that a man who could so easily hurt you is seeing you without me being there to protect you." He was practically pleading and I could hear him moving around, the wind growing louder, "I couldn't bear to lose you Drew." He stated more firmly. "I'm coming now."

I heard the dial tone and stared down at my phone in disgust. Did he hang up on me? I scoffed and threw the phone across the room, leaning against the still open door and admiring the effect the rain had on the silhouette of the trees. The dark green was now a dull grey haze, blurring the once sharp definition and leaving my imagination racing to full in the blanks.

It had almost a calming effect and I wandered back outside almost aimlessly, tilting my head up to the sky and sighing happily. The cool water pounded against my head and temples, reliving me of the headache that had been growing ever since Emily's. I couldn't thank the storm enough for that simple gesture as all but spread my arms out, quickly becoming drenched to the bone.

"Drew!" My head shot down, eyes snapping open as Paul came stumbling out of the woods, nothing but a pair of ripped jean shorts covering his lithe body. I almost began to admire the way the water ran down his muscles, becoming lost in the waist line of his pants before he was engulfing me in a hug. "What are you doing out here, you'll get sick." He yelled over the rain, pulling back and furiously wiping my short hair from my face.

"I'll be fine," I shouted back, my voice sounding strong despite all the turmoil it went through before.

"I'm sorry." He said, his voice booming to be heard over the constant rain and wind. "I'm so sorry Drew."

I nodded once, not verbally accepting his apology as I spared the house behind me a look. "We should get inside." I said back, yanking on his hand and leading him through the door, firmly closing and locking it behind us.

"You forgive me right?" He asked, no longer needing to raise his voice above a soft murmur. "Please say you do." He winced, looking at me with large pleading eyes.

I nodded my head once, "I do Paul, I get that you didn't mean it but you shouldn't have said it." I said tiredly.

"I know and wish I didn't. I just couldn't stop it." He moved forward, wrapping warm arms around me and nuzzling into my neck with content hum. I sighed and lifted my arms holding his slick waist tightly as his warm breath ticked the wet hair on my neck.

"It's okay," I whispered, feeling his arms tighten around me protectively. I snuggled in further, feeling the cold water seep through me, causing me to shiver. "Come on, we need to have a nice warm shower then a cup of coco or something." I muttered, pulling back and wiping the water of my face.

He smirked, "Ah, so we're going to have a shower? As in... One... together?"

I blinked and met his devilish smirk with a slightly lost look. "Oh you mean..." I let out a soft breath, "I'll think about it."

Okay guys... now I know I've asked before but I can turn the next chapter into a smutty or citrus chapter if you guys want. If not then it will be implied and we can continue to enjoy a T rating.

I don't mind either way (well writing a lemon will be freaking terrifying) and if you guys just want me to write the beginning, so it's hinted or want me to skip over it. It's fine.

Just make sure you guys tell me, and if you don't want to say on a review, PM me! I'll take whatever weird kinks you guys got Haha
