AN: I really like making you guys wait, but i'm back again, and were getting really close to the end of this amazing story i'm so proud to have written, and I hope you all have enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it.
Roxitas
I stood up, looking over at the hooded man, who was now wielding Darker than Dark against a girl in purple Keyblade armor wielding True Lights Flight. "Sora, you're back, how, when, where, why?"
"Don't sound so disappointed," Sora chuckled, looking back at me with a big goofy smile on his face as shielded us with a dome of golden light. "Oni sensed that you were in danger, and since your hearts were being separated she was able to use that to break through, and of course I'd come to help my friends."
"Who's Oni?" I asked, the man in the black hood suddenly throwing the girl back towards the edge of the tower.
"That'd be me!" he said, throwing his hood back and revealing a Riku's face, though slightly younger, his hair much longer and black instead of gray, and of course with fierce yellow eyes that seemed to be fixed into an eternal expression of anger.
"Lier!" the girl shouted, her voice suddenly flooding my head with memories as she blasted him with a dark furaga. I remembered sitting on the clock tower with Axel and Xion, fighting against enemies when she couldn't summon her own Keyblade, and finally I remembered fighting my best friend at the place we'd become so close and holding her hand as she died in my arms. "Who else will I have Ice cream with?"
"Don't you touch her!" I shouted, drawing my Keyblades and breaking through Sora's dome, almost slicing through the hooded man before Ixion blocked my strike and opened a dark corridor below us which opened onto a slope in the Keyblade graveyard.
I dropped down heavily onto of two Keyblades before having to flip backwards to avoid a strike from Ixion. Just before I landed on a new group of Keyblades I sent the ones I had summoned before flying at her, but she managed to catch one and deflect the other.
"Is that all the great Keyblade Master of Twilight has to offer?" She shouted down at me, flinging Void Gear back at me, which I readily caught with my left hand the numbness turning into a burning that began to spread to my neck.
"Hahahah!" I laughed, throwing my head back before grabbing a few Keyblades with my feet and sending them up to my hands and mouth, a big smirk on my face before I began to charge forwards at Ixion.
I swung with my mouth first, followed swiftly with my feet, each time my opponent either dodging or narrowly parrying my attacks. I began using my hands as well, spinning a bit and linking swords together to use them as if the were whips before I relized we had begun to head down hill again, upon which point I jumped back and spun in the air, sending all of my Keyblades flying at my opponent, managing to get a few light scratches through her coat.
"I might have underestimated you a bit," she chuckled, a week smile spreading across her face as she gasped for air.
"You haven't seen anything yet," I laughed, lifting up hundreds of Keyblades with my mind before thrusting my hands forward, sending the Keyblades forward, a massive smirk on my face as I did. I charged after my weapons, leaping into the air and grabbing two before we reached the now running Ixion, slicing at her, barely cutting a small X in the front of her coat. as we rolled down the hill I continued to grab Keyblades and flip around her, barely slicing her skin open before we finally hit the bottom of the hill, only one Keyblade remaining in my left hand which was placed right against her throat.
"You know you can't kill me, only Ventus can," she said, the fear clearly visible in her eyes bringing a smirk to my face.
"That's good then, my left hand belongs to Vanitas," I pulled back my arm before thrusting my Keyblade into her throat, it instantly crystalizing before I turned to leave, letting the Keyblade crystalize on it's own. "Now to deal with that animal up there."
I teleported myself up to the tower, ready to kill the man who'd called himself Oni when I saw Sora blocking attacks from him, the girl in the purple armor laying behind him, her armor cracked to reveal big yellow eyes with blood across the top of it. I instinctively fired a blast of dark energy into his back before he turned around, putting up another massive shield between him and Sora.
"I see that you've defeated the last of my pawns," he said, the anger in his voice no more than it had been when he'd announced who he was.
"Yes he did, now you have to leave!" the girl shouted from behind the shield, her voice shaky as she tried to push herself up.
"Not yet, because he still has too much Darkness left inside him," he smirked, walking up to me, his Keyblade vanishing as he did. "I see that it's beginning to engulf you, that's good," Oni placed his hand on my chest, the burning moving up to the left side of my face as well as my hip before I through him back agains the shield with my left hand, cracking the dark energy as I did. "You're stronger than I expected," he said, standing back up and rubbing the blood off of his face with a big smile on his face. "I mean, you were strong before, but now, it's unbelievable."
"Shut up!" I shouted, lifting him up by his coat, my eyes burning into his as the burning spread to my left eye.
"Yes, that's good, let that anger spread, let it consume you!" He shouted, his smile turning more crazy than before. "Choose oh great Twilight, bringer of all Darkness.
Roxas
"No!" I shouted, trying my best to contain the darkness that was pouring in from the other half of our shared heart. "We can't give into it Van!"
"I'm trying!" He yelled back, dark clouds pouring out of his hunched over form. "It's all just too much!"
"You have to do it, they need us now!" I called, blasting the darkness with rays of light from my hands. "Think of Namine, Lea, Ventus!"
"I'm trying, but that's just making it worse," my friend called, looking up at me to reveal the tears streaming from his eyes.
I walked across the border of our hearts, the darkness burning deep into my flesh as my eyes watered. I knelt down an looked dead into the yellow eyes I'd grown fond of. "Xion, Sydney, Aqua, Terra, Xehanort, Sora, Ven, Lea, Yensid, Namine, Seipher, Hayner, Pence, Olete, Kairi, Riku, Tidus, Waka, Selphie, Fu, Tai, me, we're all your friends, and we need you."
Roxitas
I looked up at Oni before dropping him as I fell to my knees so that our heads were touching.
"How?" Oni asked before I heard him burst into an array of crystals, the shield between Sora, the girl in the armor and I falling to the ground like broken glass.
I looked up at Sora who lowered his arms so that his Kingdom Keys flew to his hands. "Good work," he said, that goofy smile of his still plastered on his face. "She need Roxas now, do you think you can give him control for a bit?"
I nodded, my form flipping, but I could feel that parts of the left side of my face remained Vanitas, and my right eye was still blue. I walked over to the girl in armor, leaning down to hold her hand as she took off her helmet with the other. I stared for a second, tears streaming down my face as I looked down at Xion, her hair slightly longer than before though. "Hi, Roxas…"
"Xion," I gasped, running the back of my right hand across her face gently. "I thought I'd never see you again."
"So did I," she said, a slight smile coming to her face as she layer there, tears forming at the bottom of her eyes. "I've missed you and Lea so much,"
"We've missed you too," I said, as she whipped a few tears away from my face. "I've spent all this time trying to find you."
"I'm glad," she said, her hand falling to her chest now, and the sound of crystals crawling up her feet drawing my attention.
"No, not again," I cried, looking back at her, the small smile still on her face, the tears beginning to fall down her face. "Why?"
"You'll see soon enough," she said, laughing a little bit before grabbing my hand tighter. "Do you remember Roxas, how the sound of the ocean was always so sweet and gentle?"
"Please, don't leave me alone again!" I cried, pulling myself to her, holding her in my arms as the crystals began to creep up her body.
"But you're not alone Roxas, you have so many friends now," she said to me, giggling a little bit. "Tell Namine that It's not her fault," she whispered bore the crystals sped up their process and covered her head, that same sweet smile still on her face before she burst into light.
"No, no, no no no no no no no no no!" I shouted, pounding my fists on the floor of the tower. "It's not fair!"
"I know," Sora said softly, barely registering to me as I punched the ground one last time.
I looked over at him now as I brought myself to my feet, finally getting a good look at his face as the light had faded and he didn't have that goofy smile. His eyes had sunken a little deeper into his face, though they still had an abundance of light, though more darkness had found it's way in. His hair had lost some it's spike and had been combed slighter further back as if it had lost it's energy. But what I noticed the most, was that he had these massive dark bags under his eyes as if he hadn't slept in days.
"How long was it for you?" I asked, realizing that he'd been through the same hell I had been in.
"Oni told me it had only been a few months, but it felt like years," he answered, his eyes suddenly perking up a bit. "It wasn't all bad though, I actually had some good conversations, especially with Isa."
"Really?" I asked, dumbfounded by what he was saying about the world that had sucked the life out of me.
"Yeah, Oni and I had beaten him, but I wouldn't let her kill him because I remembered him and Lea used to be pals," he said, his smile slowly returning. "Oh, and you wouldn't believe how good of a cook Lumaria is."
"I'm sure I wouldn't, and did you really spend time with Oni?" I asked, even more confused now.
"Oh, not that guy, the girl in the armor," he said, his smile getting bigger as he stood up. "See, they were both part of the Replica named Xion, but the Oni I knew liked the memories she had with you, but all he thought about was the anger that you remembered in Riku."
"Oh, I didn't know," I said, looking back at the scorch mark he'd left when the man named Oni had vanished. I had a sudden realization, and spun around to look at Sora. "Where are the others that came here with me?"
"Oh yeah, Oni told me something about that," Sora said, standing up to his full height now. "She said that you'd know where to look."
I thought for a moment before it hit me and I looked up at Sora. "Have you ever been to the dormitories of the Organizations Castle?"
Roxitas
We ran down the long white hall, slashing down the few remaining Heartless that had foolishly gotten in our way before we reached the large white door with the label XVI above it. We through it open and saw a small whit room with a nightstand dresser, a bed, Oni sitting at a grand piano, and Ventus now wearing a cloaked version of his old shirt standing next to her with a smile on his face, but a frown in his eyes.
Oni began to pluck at the keys of the piano and then she started singing. "I'm lost, so lost. Will I be able, to see the sky again? Oh please, one more day; wishing, praying. Won't someone allow this shadow of a girl, to see one more day. Remember, remember, please remember who I used to be. Who am I, who am I. I'm a puppet in their game, dreaming of a life I never had. Remember, remember, please remember who I used to be. Who am I, who am I, my reality has slipped away. Xion, Xion, isn't this the name they gave to me? Promise, my friends, I'm still here. Remember, remember, please remember who I used to be. Who am I, who am I, who was I meant to be?"
I dropped to my knees, tears in my eyes as I looked at two of my closest friends, standing there so close that I could almost touch them. That's when everything went black.
