Hey guys! What's up! Okay, new chapter. Sorry if it sucks, I'm in a bit of a hurry!
Elsa quickly slammed the door to her dorm. Why did Jack have to go and do...that?
Things weren't like that. She liked Jack, and he didn't like her. That was the way things were supposed to be. She thought that she was just saving herself the heartbreak, but now she just had a headache.
She jumped onto her bed and buried her face in the pillow, not bothering to change into pajamas.
She would have fallen asleep then, but she had left the lights on.
Elsa grumbled, sitting up and flicking the lights off.
She looked at her phone, deciding to scroll through it.
Only a few numbers were in her phone. Jack, Hiccup, Catheryn, Bob.
Punzie and Astrid.
Wait, what?
Oh, that's right. She had gotten their numbers.
Would they care if she maybe texted them? It wasn't too terribly late. She didn't know them all that well, but, maybe...
Elsa went to her messages and typed up a new group message.
E: Hey guys, this is Elsa
She got an almost immediate reply from Punzie.
R: Hey girl! I was wondering if you were ever gonna text us;)
Elsa smiled to herself, typing back.
E: Yeah, I've sorta been busy
R: How are things with Jack?
E: Better, much better, but confusing again
R: I'm sorry. Hey, do you know if Flynn stayed for the summer?
E: Someone's got a crush and no, I don't think so
R: Oh shut up. And I was just wondering
Elsa felt a little sad that Punzie had a crush on Flynn of all people, but she guessed that he just had that effect on girls. Well, all girls except herself. But she did like how Punzie would talk to her as if they'd been best friends forever.
E: No offense, but why do you even like Flynn? I mean, he's kind of a jerk at school.
R: I know. *Sigh* But I know him from past experiences, and he's actually pretty nice outside of school. I keep waiting to see if he'll change during school. So far, no luck. A girl can dream, right?
E: I'm glad that he's more than his image at school.
Huh. She guessed that even the popular people have their images and reputations. Well, duh, Elsa. Look at Jack.
Her phone tweeted with a new message, but it wasn't from Rapunzel.
A: Hey Punzie, Elsa. Sup
R: Astrid's here!
E: Hi Astrid
A: Hey. Glad to know that I was missed greatly
R: Oh, definitely
A: She hasn't been bothering you too much, huh?
E: Lol no, not at all. In fact, it's kind of nice to talk to you guys. Gives me a break from my two knuckleheads here at school
A: I feel you
R: Aren't you dating one of said knuckleheads?
A: Just because he's my boyfriend doesn't mean he's not a dork
R: I can feel the love
A: Whatever, Punz. So Elsa, are you and Jack together yet?
E: What?
R: Oh! If you may, please get together before the end of the summer!
E: Slow down a second, no one's dating anyone (well, except for you, Astrid) and no one's getting together at the end of the summer! If I may, though, why?
A: Well, I'd say hold off. Punzie and I made a bet
E: You made a what?!
R: Oh, I just know you two will get together before the end of the summer! I bet Astrid thirty bucks on it!
A: Yep. I know that you and Jack have, what's the word?
R: Chemistry!
A: Yes, that, but I don't think he's gonna ask you out until at least next school year
E: I'm sorry, when did you figure this out?
A: Hey, notice she's not denying that they like each other!
R: I KNEW IT! GIVE US THE DETAILS!
Elsa paused for a moment. Okay, so, maybe Jack admitted to liking her just then, but they still were far from a relationship. Did she even want something like that to happen?
E: Okay, maybe I do like him...
She could practically hear Punzie squeal through her message.
R: I CALLED IT! And he so likes you, too.
A: Definitely
E: I'm not really that kind of girl. What do I do?
R: Go up to him and confess your undying love!
E: Er...yeah, I'm not gonna do that
A: Don't listen to her. I'd totally wait for him
R: You're just trying to put off their relationship until AFTER the end of summer so you can get thirty bucks!
A: Wrong. I'm putting off their relationship until after the end of summer so I can get thirty bucks AND the right to say I told you so
E: You guys are funny. We're not dating and probably won't ever. I should go to sleep now, I'll txt you guys later
R: You better!
A: Later Elsa
Elsa smiled, setting her phone down on the nightstand.
She liked Punzie and Astrid more and more.
They made her feel like they were already friends. Which, she supposed, they were. It was nice to have more than just Jack and Hiccup in her circle of friends.
Elsa was just about to drift off to sleep before her phone tweeted again. Punzie must want to say something else about her.
She looked down at her phone, but suddenly, she felt her stomach drop.
Blocked number: You'll never find me
Her eyes widened.
She quickly jumped out of bed, but for what purpose she did not know.
It was him. It had to be him!
She felt a fleet of panic settle down upon her, and she quickly dialed Jack.
"Come on, pick up, pick up, pick up!" She mumbled, pacing the room with the phone glued to her left ear.
It rang and rang and rang and eventually, Elsa gave up and hung up the phone. She dialed him two more times with the same result. On the third redial, it went to voicemail.
"Wait," she said.
"Of course!"
She quickly phoned Hiccup.
He answered on the fourth ring.
"Elsa?" He said, sounding like he had just woken up, which, he probably had.
"Hiccup! Oh my God, please come now!"
"Elsa, what's wrong, what happened?" He asked frantically, sounding awake now.
"A blocked number texted me. It has to be him, it has to be him!" She nearly shouted into the phone.
"Easy, Elsa, it's o-" he cut off. "Stay put, okay? Lock your door. Don't open it unless I say it's me, got it?"
She nodded, then realized that he couldn't see her nod over the phone.
"Okay," she whispered.
"I'll be right there."
"Oh, hey Hiccup?"
"Yeah?"
"Where's Jack? He didn't answer."
"Jack? Oh right. He's right..."
He broke off. She heard some scrambling in the background.
"Hiccup?" She asked quietly.
Some more scrambling, and "Oh God," and some muffled rummaging.
"Hiccup?" She asked louder.
Still nothing.
"Hiccup!" She cried into the phone.
"Elsa!" Hiccup quickly said into the phone. "Jack's gone, he's not here!"
If she thought that her stomach couldn't drop anymore, she was wrong. Dead wrong.
"Elsa? Stay there, I'm coming to your dorm, okay? Call 911 or something."
She nodded, not saying anything this time.
Hiccup hung up the phone.
Elsa stood there for a minute, shaking.
Call 911...
She couldn't think.
Jack wasn't there. He was gone. Hiccup didn't know if he had come back after he had dropped Elsa off.
There was a good chance that he just gone off to go for a walk to blow off steam.
But there was also a good chance that he had left involuntary.
Elsa whimpered in the silence.
She was so scared. This shouldn't be happening to her! She shouldn't have to be dealing with this.
Jack could just be out for a walk.
But he could also be tied up somewhere, being "talked to" just like she was...
Elsa dialed 911.
About an hour later, the few students that had stayed for summer were outside in the courtyard, and policemen were scattered around the school.
A thorough search of the perimeters had been done, and no Jack anywhere. He was officially gone from campus.
"Oh my God," Elsa found herself scared to the bone.
Hiccup was right beside her with his arm protectively and reassuringly around her.
She stared blankly at the school.
Everything was happening so fast.
Soon, the students were all rounded up in the auditorium with some blankets and pillows. They were going to sleep there until everything clamed down.
"Elsa?" Hiccup whispered through the loud chatter of the bewildered students.
"Elsa?"
She just looked right through him.
"Elsa, don't fade. I know you want to, but you can't. We have to go give the number to the police. Come on, snap out of it."
Elsa looked at him. She tried to say. 'okay' but she couldn't find the strength to.
"Is she okay?" Someone asked. Just from those three words, Elsa could hear the heavy Scottish accent.
Hiccup sighed. "She's in a state of shock."
"Wha's wrong wi' her?"
Hiccup briefly filled the newcomer in on what had happened.
"Oh," she said.
Elsa looked over at the girl. SHe was in a short sleeve green pajama shirt with yellow shorts, and she had extremely bad bed hair. Well, she guessed that was what happened when someone woke you up in the middle of the night telling you that one of the students on campus had gone missing.
"Hi, I'm Merida," the girl said.
"Hiccup."
"I'm Elsa," Elsa spoke out. Both Hiccup and Merida jumped.
"What the- Elsa!" Hiccup cried.
"Hi, lass," Merida said.
"Sorry Hiccup. I...was trying," she admitted, biting her lip and fumbling with her hands.
"That's okay. Do you feel up to it now?"
She nodded.
"Good luck wi' it all," Merida waved and smiled.
Elsa smiled back. "Do you...want to come with us?"
Merida and Hiccup looked a little shocked, but Merida did nod.
"Sure," she smiled.
Merida didn't go over to a group of people to tell them that she was leaving, she just stood and followed. Elsa wondered if the girl even had any friends.
"Excuse me?" Elsa asked in a small voice when the trio reached some officers.
The policemen looked down at her. Elsa swallowed the desire to whimper.
"Um, I think I have something that can help," she said. Hiccup had told her that they should give the blocked text to the police. It would be faster to get it that way, anyway.
She went through her phone and clicked on the text.
"I think it's the same number that texted me before," she said.
"Before?" One of them asked.
"Um, yes. I believed I talked to someone else about what happened. I was, um, kidnapped a few days ago."
Funny how those words didn't have an effect on her. They would have just a few hours ago, but now, she was far more worried about Jack to even think about herself.
"Yes, we'll bring it to the head officer. They'll be able to find the number. Please come with us, you three."
The three of them followed the officer, sticking close together. Even Merida, despite having known each other for five minutes.
They waited for a few minutes, standing in the lukewarm night.
"It's okay, Elsa. We'll find him," Hiccup said.
Elsa gave a small smile.
"So are you two dating?" Merida asked suddenly.
They both jumped.
"Um...which two?"
"Well, I'm askin' Elsa abou' herself and this Jack."
"What? What made you...no, we're not," Elsa stammered.
"Might as well be," Hiccup muttered and Elsa sent him a death glare.
Merida gave a hearty laugh before an uncomfortable silence settled down once again.
"It's okay, Elsa," Hiccup repeated a few minutes later.
"I don't have a good feeling about this," Elsa admitted.
"Why?"
"I just don't."
"I's probably 'cause this kidnapper's too smart," Merida said.
Hiccup blinked.
"Well, think of it this way; the kidnapper should know that someone's bound to be after him, righ'?"
Elsa and Hiccup nodded.
"Why would he give the police a number? Even if it was blocked, he should know that they could find 'him."
"You make a good point, Merida," Elsa said. She didn't exactly have a reason for her bad feeling, but that was as good of an explanation as any.
"Alright, you three, please come with me." Someone told them, and the three obediently followed.
A tall, middle-aged man was waiting for them.
"Hello, are you Elsa, Harry, and Merida?"
Hiccup coughed but Elsa nodded.
She heard Hiccup mutter to a chuckling Merida to 'shut up' and refrained from smiling herself. Now was not the time.
"We have the number. Please see if you recognize this."
Elsa took the sheet of paper he handed her, looking at the number.
373-269-7684
Elsa blinked a few times before looking at it again.
"No," she whispered.
"Do you recognize it?" The officer asked.
Hiccup took it, looked at it for a moment, then gasped and dropped the paper.
It fluttered to the floor, landing upwards.
"This...this can't be right..." She mumbled, looking wide eyed at it.
Staring up at her from the ground, the number that was blocked...was Jack's phone number.
I am so sorry for the quality! I will probably go back sometime and fix it cuz I know that it was terrible and rushed! I will make an announcement if I do decide to go back and fix it. Thanks for understanding, I was in a rush!
And please do not try to actually contact that number. I know you are (hopefully) smart enough to know that that is a completely random number I made up specifically for this story, so...go from there peoples. Actually, if you look at it, I made the numbers line up so what it spells is 'dre-amw-rotg'.Pretty creative, right, right? :D
ATA: Well, it's confusing. My excuse is that she's Elsa. Yep... Yep, and lol she likes it too, much to my irritation because she BELONGS in her story...and okay, I'm calm, I'm calm. *eye twitch* And lol, it's okay. I totally understand you on that matter.
Cypress/Grace; I will not save you
Shut up and get back in your story before I delete it!
And okay then...
Snowman: Of course, it's fate. That, and a story. Irony everywhere! And oh, yeah. Ikr? I totally agree with you. Let's go criticize him about having all these ideas and not actually doing anything with them. (Okay, sure, you do some things but come on, see it from our POV). And you make a good point with the camera thing, but, that just doesn't happen in this story, so, I guess no cameras? I don't know. All that happens is that someone *cough cough* Pitch *ahem* kidnapped Elsa (and now Jack) and got away with it (for now...) And *lol* sorry, ahem. Um, I'm laughing the entire review comments there. Oh, the goodbye, sorry, I wrote "Goodbye." But somehow it deleted itself and then I reread the chapter and realized that it did. So, there's supposed to be a goodbye there/ I fixed it now so it makes more sense. And yep, that's all I got. I'm still laughing;)
TheMashedUpSisters: omg, doesn't he? It is seriously creepy!
disneyobsessionist: lol, I was wondering why you sounded like you'd reviewed before...;)'what is wrong with her'? A very good question, that I will have the answer to in just about...*darts away and hides in a highly confidential place*
Jewelaria Rosha: Grace; he soooo likes you. Even Pearlness4700 agrees with me! And she's like, the most oblivious person when it comes to those kinds of things!
P.N.4700; *opens mouth* Hey, I- ... Eh, you've got a point
Grace; seriously. She's so oblivious, it's not even funny-
P.N.4700; *slams hand over Grace's mouth* AND THANK YOU GRACE moving on now. Thank you! And yes, Grace is crazy.
J.R.; haha, I totally agr-
P.N.4700; GRACELYNN FROST WHAT THE What? What happened?!
P.N.4700; she licked my hand!
Grace; in all fairness, Jack did the same thing
P.N.4700; that does not give you a right to- urgh never mind. Just never mind.
Demon's Angel: That's totally fine and me too. Me too. And don't worry. None of us can think after 12. Especially me! Lol;) And uh, nice...nice sister you got there... Haha, Dory's together! I forget things very easily, too. Like where's my phone? Crap. I lost it again. Oh, whoops. It was in my pocket...case closed! Lol and thank you!
Rose: uh, they were having a real argument. And I need to go now so lol, thank you, I did. (Obviously.) And I wouldn't know these things Remember, I'm very forgetful? Haha, go paradoxes!
Alright, see guys next time! Btw, most likely, the next update you'll get from me will be from my-newest-story-with-the-really-long-title-that-I-don't-feel-like-typing-out-even-though-this-takes-longer. Okay, later! ^-^
