Evan groaned,blinking his eyes open. Once he realized he was laying on the ground,he sat up,looking at his surroundings . He seemed to be in some sort of hallway. The walls were black and had a gothic design to them. He stood up,and looked in a dusty mirror leaning on the wall next to him. He wore a black suit with a blue tie. He raised an eyebrow,then shook his head. He looked around again

"Where the hell am I...?" He mumbled. He started to walk down the hallway. The farther he went,the darker it got. Soon,he could barely see himself. Finally,after walking for what felt like miles,he came apon a large gold curtain. He blinked,and pulled it aside. He gasped at what he saw. Sitting at a black grand piano,was his meister. He blushed when he noticed what she was wearing. His eyes then zeroed in on a small red demon sitting atop the piano. He walked in,his black shoes making a creeking sound. Aiyanna whipped around to face him,her eyes wide. He gasped at her one gold eye. She grinned,jumping up and tackling him. Since she barly weighed anything,she knocked him back a few steps. She smiled at him with watery eyes. He smiled,placing a gentle hand on her head. She buried her head in his chest,her shoulders shaking. He closed his eyes,feeling their souls dance together. He opened his eyes when saw bright light past his eyelids. He gasped,looking done at his meister who was glowing a beautiful gold. Huge,gold wings spread out from behind her. He noticed he was glowing a light blue color,the blue light mixing with the gold light. Aiyanna pulled away,looking at him with a wide smile. He looked at her flaming gold eye with awe. She grabbed his hand and pulled him over to the piano,sitting down on the bench. He followed,sitting next to her. She closed her eyes and started playing. A disturbing but beautiful tune weaved around them. He closed his eyes. He knew this song. It was the song Aiyanna played him soon after they became partners. He remembered it well

"This is my Soul"

"Its beautiful"

"...Heh"

"What are you laughing about?"

"You really think its beautiful? You must be more of an idiot then I first thought..."

"Hey! That's mean!"

"Buahahahahahahahahahahaha!"

She had told him some time later,that she wanted to meet her partner like her father did. Since her dads her role model and all. After our 32 mission,she discovered her Weapon genes. He was worried she would search for a meister,but his fears were quickly erased

"HUH!? Why would I want to become a weapon!? I don't want to just WATCH as my meister kicks ass,I want to be the one kicking ass! Besides...I wouldn't trade you for the world..."

"Did you just say-"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Just kidding! HAHAHAHA!"

He grinned,looking at his meister next to him. She was smiling,hands flying across the keys. He looked at the tiny scars on her arms and face and frowned,remebering the first time she was hurt

"Dang,that Kishin sure fucked us up good,huh Evan?"

"..."

"Evan?"

"...I'm sorry..."

"Huh?"

"...Its my job to protect you...and I failed...im sorry.."

"...idiot..."

"W-What did you say?"

"I SAID YOUR AN IDIOT! IF YOURE GONNA SAVE ME,AT LEAST DO IT BECAUSE YOU WANT TO! NOT BECAUSE OF SOME 'OBLIGATION'!"

"...I..."

"Hmp..Evan no Baka..."

"I want to save you because...you're the most important person to me..."

"...b-baka...

"Hehe!"

The song slowly faded out. Aiyanna turned to her weapon,smiling. Evan smiled back,standing up. She smirked,holding her hand out. He smirked back,grabing her hand and pulling her up,swiching places with her and then doing a high five

"Saigomade Patona*" They said in unison. They heard clapping. They turned to see the little red demon smirking at them. Evan looked at the small oni wearily and Aiyanna just rolled her eyes

"Well,wasnt that just adorable?" He seemed to mock,rolling his eyes. Evan just stared and him and Aiyanna facepalmed. She then remembered something important. She whipped her head around to look at the opposite corner of the room,gaping when she saw that no one was there. Evan blinked in confusion at his meister panicked face

"W-where did he go!?" She yelled. The demon sighed

"He faded once Evan arrived" He said. Evan raised an eyebrow

"Who faded after I got here?" He asked. Aiyanna glanced at the demon. He shrugged

"You mise well tell him" Aiyanna sighed,looking at her partner

"Darth...he was here...in my soul" She whispered. Evan face slowly paled.

"Wha...Are you saying that monster was in you're SOUL!?" He growled. Aiyanna sighed

"Don't worry bout it Ev',I took care of him" He glared at her

"Don't you understand how serious this is!?" Ayanna rolled her eyes at her flailing partner

"It doesn't matter anyways. My soul is already tainted. One more thing to taint it wont matter" She shrugged. Evan growled,clenching his fists as a he tilted his head down,a shadow covering his eyes.

"What is wrong with you..!?...don't you care that you're hurting everyone you care about with whole nonchalant attitude!? WHY WONT YOU JUST LET US HELP YOU!?" He screamed. She looked away,staring at the black walls

"...you don't understand..."

Evan glared at her,his green and gold eyes shining with unshed tears

"What don't I understand!?" She snarled,flinging her arms to her sides

"I HAVE A FUCKING DEMON OF MADNESS IN MY SOUL! IM SLOWLY GOING INSANE!"She screamed. Evan gasped,taking a step back. Aiyanna looked away again

"...I didn't tell you...I wanted to...really,really wanted to...but I knew,once I told you...you wouldn't let me go on anymore missions...I'd feel horrible...because...I would have broken my promise...to Lilly" She whispered. Evan felt himself tense at the name of their old teacher

"I wont let you hurt them!"

"LILLY! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"Aiyanna...take care of yourself...erk...promise me...promise me..."

"L-Lilly,you g-gonna be okay! Stein will be h-here soon!"

"Promise me...you'll make Evan a powerful Death Scythe...so this never has to happen again...and...to protect you...since I cant do that anymore..."

"BAKA! Of course I will! A-and,you're gonna be there,cheering me on!"

"Haha...im gonna miss you're firey attitude the most...you were my favorite student...even though you have the attention span of a sloth..."

"I promise I'll study more! And pay attention! Just-Just don't close you're eyes!"

"Im so sleepy...but,before I fall asleep...Evan,promise me...You'll take care of Aiyanna?"

"I..I promise Miss Morgen..."

"...Good boy...I'm so sleepy...I think im gonna take a little nap...Good Night,Evan-Kun,Aiyanna-Chan"

"LILLY! LILLY! OPEN YOUR EYES!"

"Aiyanna...shes gone..."

"STUPID,STUPID TEACH! LISTEN TO ME DAMNIT! OPEN YOU DAMN EYES!"

"Aiyanna,please..."

"...I promise Lilly Sensei...DO YOU HEAR ME!? I PROMISE! I WONT LET YOU DOWN!"

Evan looked her in the eyes,a calm look on his face

"We'll find a way to help you...I promise,on my heart and soul" He said,head held high. She smiled

"Then we better get out of here...its you're turn to cook tonight" She said,drooling slightly. He rolled his eyes

"I cook dinner every night"

"That's because I cant cook"

"Its because I wont let you cook"

"Its Because I blew up the stove last time,isnt it?"

"Yep"

"Knew it. Clair owes me 20 bucks"

"...ya'know,im not even gonna ask"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

and everything went white
