As always, enjoy the story.

Blaine groans as he settles back in the rocking chair nestled next to the window, resting a hand on the swell of his stomach. He's just put the final touches on the baby's nursery, and he surveys the room contently. He and Kurt had chosen 'Winnie the Pooh' for the theme, and it couldn't have turned out better. Thankfully, most baby stores carried a multitude of items featuring the honey-loving bear, and it hadn't been too hard to find matching sets. Blaine's favorite part of the nursery, however, was the simple lyric written right above the crib in elegant cursive, Somewhere Only We Know. Hope, or Ashlynne as she prefers to be called, had suggested the lyric, noting that an old commercial had made use of the touching song.

Thoughts of Ashlynne creep into Blaine's mind, and he can't help but marvel at how well everything has turned out so far. The day after Ashlynne had told Kurt and Blaine that she was really Hope, her and Blaine had a long talk that started awkwardly with neither knowing quite what to say, and ended with Blaine recalling memories from their childhood. That was the first time Blaine had actually felt like he had his little sister back. Unfortunately, Ashlynne didn't share the same sentiment considering her memory loss. Of course, Blaine didn't blame Ashlynne for not being able to remember their shared past, but the teenager had asked Kurt and Blaine if they would help her find a way to regain her lost memories. The agreed, obviously, and had quickly set up a consultation with a psychologist who had specialized in amnesia, so far Ashlynne hasn't managed to recall anything, but her doctor seems to believe that, given the right method, the teenager would remember almost everything from her past. Simultaneously, Nick has been helping Kurt and Blaine in finally getting legal custody of Ashlynne as well as figuring out a way to get her back on track academically. Kurt and Blaine had sat down with the teenager, and together they had decided to enroll Ashlynne in an online high school remedial course to track her progress and determine which classes she would need to take in order to earn a diploma. They hadn't run into any major trouble so far, a good sign that the process, though long and tiring, would be as smooth as anyone could hope for.

Although, Blaine has to admit that it hasn't been the easiest thing in the world. There was a lot of paperwork and stress involved nearly every step of the way, but it seems everything is finally getting back on track where it should be. Just in time too, Blaine supposes as he runs a hand over his nine month pregnant belly. Doctor Graham had told Kurt and Blaine at an ultrasound appointment not too long ago that the baby could come any day now. Blaine was all too ready to have the little peanut out, and he'd be lying if he said pregnancy was a walk in the park. The past month had proven to be the most uncomfortable yet with all the discomfort that seems to accompany the end of a pregnancy. The hospital bags had been packed and ready to go for weeks now, and Kurt had finally taken of off for paternity leave. Even Ashlynne had chipped in, insisting on helping with chores around the house. It seems as though the only person not ready for the baby was the little one in question. Oh well, Blaine supposes that it will happen when the time is right, and not a moment too soon.

Sorry that's it's so short, and I hope you guys are ok with the little time jump. I just feel like I've spent enough time on the build-up, and I'm ready to move on to the next chapter in Kurt and Blaine's lives.
