Final Battle
Third
Annabeth had to admit she had doubts in her own plan. There were many things that could go wrong but she knew that she needs to believe in herself in order for it to work and when believing in herself didn't work she just looked at her team behind her. 'It's going to work,' she kept repeating that inside her head as they made their way towards TITAN'S INC.
The plan was Camp Half Blood would take out the workers while her team (Piper, Thalia, Nico, Jason, Percy and herself) would sneak in and fight Kronos. The exact part about her fighting Kronos didn't really have a plan, it was more of a go in, find him and beat him up. The girls at TSTG would be joining the Camp Half Blood fighters and that was it. She wanted to call in help from the Camp Jupiter recruits but waiting for them would take too long.
"Annabeth, it's going to work. I mean you're the best strategist we've ever had," Percy took Annabeth's hand for reassurance.
"You know what I find stupid?" Thalia said while chewing her gum, too loudly for Annabeth's liking. "That our stupid parents won't help us because they're busy."
"They're fighting against Typhoon," Piper pointed out while staring out the tinted window. Jason and Nico kept quiet, thinking of what would happen after the battle.
"Are you guys ready?" Chiron asked as he parked the vehicle.
"As ready as we'll ever be," Thalia said as she exited.
"We'll see you when we get back," Piper said as she left.
"Later Chiron," Annabeth gave a hug.
The boys who didn't know Chiron as well gave him a nod and left. In case anyone was wondering how a man in a wheelchair could drive a car, it's just say somethings are better left a secret.
There was no time for anyone to complain, as soon as they left the vehicle they grabbed their bags and headed down the sewage pipes. They planned to use the sewage ways to reach the fountain in Central Park. The CHB and TSTG recruits have already headed in and found a clear path for the six, now all they had to do was to fight the most powerful man on the planet, no big deal.
"This is gross," Percy commented as he once again stepped in something he didn't want to know what it was.
While the girls ignored him, Percy's lovely cousins took the opportunity to slap him on the biceps before following their respective others and Annabeth.
"We're here," Thalia had noted at her a while.
Up ahead you could see the lair and hear the sounds of others fighting. Nobody really knew if they were hearing cries of happiness or sadness but they knew that their friends' sacrifices were for a good cause.
Although they were the bad guys, Annabeth couldn't help that one part of her brain which seemed to marvel over the design of the lair. If they were on the same side she wouldn't mind working underground if it meant spending her time in the architectural masterpiece.
"You guys ready?" Piper asked. "It's now or never, if you want there's still time to turn back."
The girls already knew their answer and it was now time for the boys to decide.
"We're ready," they answered.
Annabeth, Thalia and Nico all had a pistol in each hand, while Piper, Jason and Percy had more of a mid-range gun and a knife. Also accompanying them were some knifes and ammo. The whole team already had their bulletproof outfit which consisted of a long sleeve turtle neck, gloves, black pants and boots. They also had a helmet along with bulletproof glasses.
"On my count," Thalia instructed, then she counted backwards from three and simply put, hell had started.
Well not exactly, as they broke into the main layer of TITAN'S INC, they had noticed that it was empty, no one was there. If they looked closely they noticed a black throne facing away from them.
"Keep your weapons ready," Annabeth informed. "That means taking the safety off your gun Nico." Which got a shy laugh from the boy along with the annoyed girlfriend taking off the safety for him.
"Kronos, where are you?" Jason shouted, he was a bit surprised from the sound of his voice. It was thundering, confident and commanding, a lot like his father.
"Why I'm right here," his deep, hallow voice echoed through the room. Then just like a scary movie, the door behind the group had shut, confining the six in a dark room with a mass murder.
"Night vision and thermal sensors on," Thalia said.
"Uh, guys? Is this right?" Percy asked. He was talking about the fact this his gadget didn't pick up anything out of the ordinary. "I don't see him."
"But I'm right here," Kronos mocked them, once again his voice echoed.
"How are we supposed to fight someone that we can't see?" Nico asked, started to get annoyed. His fingers twitched by the trigger wanting to avenge his sister.
"Like this," Kronos chuckled and Annabeth had fallen face first into the cement below her.
"A-Annabeth!" Percy had shouted and rushed over to her.
"Don't move Percy," Piper shouted. "Stay where you are," she warned green-eyed man.
"Very clever McLean," Kronos complemented Piper but once again it sounded like a mockery.
"Why?" Percy asked.
"Don't you see?" Thalia pointed towards Annabeth. "Turn your night vision to a higher setting, you'll see the wires surrounding us and Annabeth. One false move and we're all done for."
"Annabeth, are you okay?" Percy asked.
"I'm fine, but for now I can't move, the wires are in the way."
"Kronos this isn't fair, fight us fair and square," Nico shouted into the darkness.
"Fair? It's 6 against 1, now who's the unfair one? But I do enjoy a good challenge, not that you brats will be one," Kronos then pressed a button getting rid of the wires. Then with another press flames light up the room showing Kronos standing in the middle with a sly smile.
"My turn first," he said. Before anyone else could react Kronos was behind Jason and he struck. "One down, five to go."
"Thalia, Piper go around. Percy and Nico go help Jason. I'll take the front," Annabeth who had gotten up from the ground ran towards Kronos. The girls got out their guns and fired yet somehow Kronos was able to dodge them all almost point blank before he disappeared.
"Piper behind you," Percy shouted. Piper then discarded her gun and grabbed a blade which was in her boot. She then drove her blade towards Kronos' heart only to miss and stab his left forearm.
"Ouch, you cut me," Kronos sounded pleased for some reason.
"Tch," Piper pulled her knife out as Thalia who was now in the air above Kronos prepared to fire at him.
"AGHHHHHURGGGG," Nico charged into Kronos, knocking him down.
"Nico!" Thalia shouted at her boyfriend as he had just let the target out of the way. She then did a front flip in the air landing gracefully on the floor.
"H-help," Nico choked out. He didn't plan for Kronos to react so fast and grab his neck thus choking the obsidian eyed boy.
"Let my cousin go," Jason ran up and swept Kronos' feet making him lose balance. As he lost balance, he created enough space for Nico to catch a breath and get out of Kronos' grip.
"Nico you idiot!" Thalia fired a warning shot next to Nico's head. "I had him, I could've shot him, why did you attack him?"
Nico didn't get a chance to answer and Kronos got back up onto his feet and this time charged at Jason. Jason didn't know what was going on as he had his back turned and he faced Piper.
"Jason move," Percy managed to push his cousin out of the way but his shoulder hit the brick wall, hard. The green-eyed male wasn't a doctor but he was pretty sure that his shoulder wasn't supposed to make a sound like that.
"Percy!" Jason cried out. He then got out his knife and threw it like a javelin towards Kronos but missed.
"You shouldn't have done that Grace," Kronos took Jason's knife which was now imbedded in the brick wall beside him and threw it back at Jason.
"AHH," Jason cried out in pain as his knife pierced through his armor and into his skin.
"Jason," Piper rushed over to her boyfriend and grabbed some cloth getting ready to bandage him. "He must have thrown that super hard to pierce the armor," Piper was both annoyed yet fascinated.
"Nico move," Thalia shouted as she fired Aegis. Said boy had moved so that the bullet had just missed his nose by a hair of an inch but it grazed Kronos' cheek.
"Hmm," Kronos wiped his blood with his thumb then licked it. "This is how you shoot a bullet," Kronos grabbed the gun that Piper had discarded and fired it at Thalia leaving a nice gash at her neck. If it wasn't for all her training she would have been a goner as that bullet missed anything major.
"How dare you," Nico grabbed his blade and charged. Kronos who didn't have the time to react ended up getting a gash on his side.
"Stupid brat," Kronos kicked Nico. Since Nico at that time hadn't exactly stopped charging, he flew face first into the wall.
"Now your turn," Kronos ran over towards Piper and in a evil yet graceful way broke the bones in her legs and took her gun.
"Finally your turn Perseus," Kronos walked over to Percy who couldn't move his arm due to his shoulder collision. "You're trapped like the little mouse you are," Kronos took out a blade and raised it above his head.
"You're the one who got trapped Kronos," Percy smirked, half in pain other feeling proud.
"What do you mean brat?" Kronos lowered his blade only to notice blood running down his other cheek.
"This is what he means," Annabeth had dropped in front of Percy holding the wires Kronos had used previously. Kronos had totally forgotten about the other blonde. "While you were too busy with the others, I had the chance to set up this plan. Goodbye," she said as she pulled the wire.
"So did you kill him?" Nico asked, pointed at Kronos who was lying on the floor covered in his own blood. The poor boy's forehead was redder than any tomato on the planet.
"Of course not, I set it up so that he'll die from blood loss. Now help me get him into this sarcophagus," Annabeth explained.
After the group had gotten Kronos into the sarcophagus, one that had been laying beneath the throne, Thalia had sealed it so that he could never get out of it.
"Come on let's go, it's going to blow in 3 minutes. Everyone else has left already, we're the only ones left."
"Wait, what will happen to Central Park now? I mean you're setting explosives underneath the fountain," Jason asked.
"Don't worry about it, it's only going to blow up the room that Kronos was in, nothing else," Piper then pushed her boyfriend out of the room as they left. No further questions were asked even though the boys were quiet confused.
No one looked back as they made their way back into the daylight. Kind of like the Greek myth with the dude and his wife. They believed that if they looked back, they would see Kronos.
"So what now?" Percy asked as they broke into daylight. The one thing he has always liked about New York was that unless you were somebody important no one really gave you a second look. So if a group on teenagers in all black covered in mud, blood, sweat and bruises walked down what could be the most busiest street in the world nobody question why.
"Well if we're lucky then we'll have a few days off or if we're not-" But before Annabeth could finish her sentence an Iris Message appeared.
"You don't mean?" Piper whined.
"Are you serious," Thalia frowned.
"Hello Chiron?" Annabeth answered.
"Girls and Percy, Jason and Nico. Report back to Camp Half Blood, this is urgent."
"Okay then we'll see you there," Annabeth hung up.
"Come on guys let's go," Piper headed into the driver's seat of the van that Chiron had left by Central Park and sped off back to camp.
Turns out the 'urgent' news that Chiron was talking about turned out to be a party where the main guest didn't show. Chiron and all the other campers decided to throw a celebration for finally defeating TITAN'S INC. and the girls from TSTG showed up too even though most of the girls were from CHB.
"You know, it's nice to have a break after saving the world," Percy told his girlfriend as they slow danced. "I mean look at them," Percy pointed to Nico and Thalia playfully bickering and Jason and Piper who were a bit caught up in the moment.
"Like I've told you before, saving the world isn't that bad," Annabeth said.
"You never told me that before."
"Well now I have so does it really matter?" Annabeth distanced herself a bit from Percy.
"No it doesn't now," Percy leaned in for a kiss but was interrupted.
"Annabeth, Percy, Piper, Jason, Nico and Thalia, report to the Big House another mission has come up," Chiron announced much to everyone's dismay.
"Come on Seaweed Brain let's go," Annabeth grabbed her boyfriend's hand while Piper and Thalia did the same to their respective others.
"What about my kiss?" Percy asked.
"Later but first we have a world to save," Annabeth stuck her tongue out. Piper and Thalia also that the same conversation with their boyfriends only they ended up getting a kiss.
"Stupid wor-" Percy ended up getting his kiss and at the same time he thought maybe saving the world wasn't so bad.
Team Triple A has come to the conclusion that their successors have done themselves good and deserve the name of the best spy team.
At the same time the brothers have decided that although their sons have proven themselves worthy they won't hand over their thrones yet.
TITAN'S INC. the organization that had started it all has finally come to an end.
These six teens together are now stronger than ever as they face their next challenge but they know that it's nothing that they can't handle.
[A/N] HAPPY HOUSE OF HADES DAY! I got my copy and I'm loving it so far :D. Now only 365 days give or take 'till the next book. I won't tell you the name just in case you guys didn't read it yet. Anyways I apologize for the wait for this story but on another note this story is officially finished. I don't think I'm going to do an epilogue or a sequel. I might write an epilogue later if I ever decided to come back to this story but I am satisfied with how it is right now. In a way you can say that the last three lines were an epilogue since it connects with the first chapter. I'm currently focused on finishing my other stories and if I have time to edit the previous chapters. I want to thank everyone who's followed, favourited and review for this story. Do me one last favour for this story and review one last time (or more on the other chapters ;D) and favourite. I thought that I'll be sad seeing as how my first legit story is complete but I'm more happy. I won't be leaving the whole spy world yet, Cat and Mouse will be in somewhat of the same setting.
