Gah sorry about the wait again. My laptop was messing up and changed all my Microsoft Word docs. into some weird other thing that FF doesn't like and neither do I.
"Go!" I whisper to Drake. He nods and we break into a sprint out of the place. Of course running with heels isn't the easiest thing so within a second I tear them off and chuck them at the nearest red-eyed werewolf coming our way, getting a laugh from Drake. We burst through the doors and straight into the body guards from before. They exchanged glances, wondering what was happening. Drake just tilted his head. "H-Hey." With those amazingly wise words he grabbed my arm and started running again, dragging me along.
My heart was pounding at a dangerous level. I wasn't positive on if they were even chasing us—if they were they could have caught us in barely a minute. We ran through the back streets, trying to find somewhere safe. There were so many matured werewolves in there, yet not one has even sniffed us out. Something was up.
"Drake stop," I shout at him. He looks back and breathes heavily.
"We can't stop now."
"If they wanted to, we would have been caught by now." I explained to him.
I listened to his deep breathing in the silence before he clued in. "Yeah… you're right. This ain't good."
My head tilted to the side.
"Zelda if they aren't chasing us then it doesn't mean we're just off the hook. Kuro doesn't work that way and you know it." I gulped. "He'll come for us, today, tomorrow, next week. . ."
"Can we just get back now then. . ." I pleaded, "Now."
"You don't have to ask me twice. . ."
I wanted to drop to the floor and just lay there the second we stepped through the castle doors and just thank it. I was tired, felt like crap, and barefoot. My mind was racing, just wondering when or what Kuro would do. Unless it slowed down I would not be sleeping tonight.
Drake exhaled loudly. "I just wanna go sleep for like. . . the rest of my life?" He dragged out.
"Mmm, me too," I mumbled. "So G'night."
I lazily hugged him and muttered a thank you then we went our separate ways to our rooms. I rubbed my eyes in a poor attempt to try to stay awake. It was late—really late and the hallways were empty and eerily quiet. It had a creepy atmosphere, causing my mind to create hundreds of scenarios of Kuro and his disgusting, vile friends appearing out of nowhere and attacking.
I shuddered and picked up my pace. After my door was in sight I ran over, grinning manically and ripped it open. I stepped in and kicked it closed. I didn't waste time tearing off the skimpy top and tossing it aside.
"What the fuck are you wearing?"
I jumped and spun around, "Link you scared the shit out of me!" I clutched my chest after the mini heart-attack. "What are you still even doing up?!"
He stood up and walked towards me gradually with this dull look in his eyes. "Where were you. . . and dressed like this?"
Ignoring him, I twirled my finger signalling him to turn around. He stared at me again so dully. I shrugged and shimmied out of the tiny short-shorts and kicked them aside. I looked again at the blonde. He continued staring blankly into my eyes, awaiting response. I rolled my eyes and went to the bathroom to take the big hoop earrings out. In fact, I didn't mind them. They were actually kind of nice but they got pretty annoying.
I splashed up some water to rinse off what I could of the thick layer of make-up. It didn't work at all, no matter how much I scrubbed.
"Make-up even?" Link grumbled lowly, coming to lean against the bathroom's door frame.
I narrowed my eyes at him. Still pissy. I ignored him once again and tried a few more times before giving up completely. It was smudged somewhat but that was it. Maybe in the morning I could get some remover from Bailey.
"Drop it Link," I growled and shoved past him.
"Why won't anyone tell me what's going on?!" The temperamental blonde snarled and grabbed my wrist.
"Nothing that concerns you, Link."
"It does concern me!"
I shook out of his grasp and walked over to my bed. "Goodnight, Link." I growled and snuggled into the blankets.
"I'm not done talking yet."
"I don't care." I muttered and rolled over.
"You're the one who started this so why are you acting like I'm the bad guy?" He snapped.
I buried my face into the pillow in frustration. He was incredibly difficult. "I can't tell you where I was."
"Yes you can!"
"Ari said not to tell you."
He sighed and sat down on the bed. I didn't bother to roll over and make eye contact—mainly because I didn't want to, but also because I was already so cozy and comfortable. I was honestly too tired to do this. My eyes slowly closed by themselves but I fought for them to open. Link would be even madder if I fell asleep on him.
"He doesn't have to know. . ." He murmured. I felt a hand rest on my side. "I'm sorry if you're still mad at me about the Zant thing—it just didn't look good and you know it. Then you leave for hours and come back dressed like that."
Then there was silence I needed to break. "I had to go to the fights with Drake," I finally caved and rolled over. He groaned quietly and raked a hand through his hair. "I would have told you but. . . look you can't say a word to anyone that you know!"
His grip on my side tightened, and if there wasn't a thick blanket between his hand and my skin then it surely would have been bruised. "They'd really go behind my back and send you there?"
"Link I didn't have a problem with it, why should you?" I said gently and reached up to brush his bangs out of his face.
"Because you're so reckless! Don't you see that?"
"Am not. . ." I mumbled defensively.
Link rolled his eyes and a smile tugged at his lips. He pulled his shirt over his head and tossed it aside. He took his pants and kicked them aside as well before getting under the blankets beside me. I couldn't help but smile while he wrapped around me.
"You're so bipolar." I mocked and he growled lowly and held me tighter. I grinned and reached up and pulled at the corner of his lips. "Smile you bipolar wolfie."
He narrowed his eyes at me before biting at my finger. I scowled and drew my hand back, getting a laugh from him which was close enough. "I am not bipolar I just need someone to cuddle and you aren't a very good cuddle buddy when you're angry." He protested.
"At least I don't need anger management." I pointed out and he glowered at me.
"Are you sure about that?"
I grimaced and shuffled around to turn my back to him. He chuckled, his breath tickling my skin. I shifted a little uncomfortably and he took notice no doubt. Link blew on my neck and I shivered. "Sensitive today, are we?" Slowly, he started planting kisses.
"Link stop I'm tired." I whined.
"Dun'wanna. . ." He muttered and continued. The blonde leaned over to trail them up the side of my face. He hands roamed my body beneath the blankets.
"Link! Finally! I've been looking everywhere for you!" The door slammed open and Sheik pranced in. He looked between us. "Am I interrupting something?"
"Yes! As always!" Link snarled and chucked a pillow at him.
Sheik caught it swiftly and threw across the room. "Look you gotta come with me. Zelda you can just sleep some they said."
"What is it that's so important?" Link grumbled and rubbed his face.
"No clue. Some weird oldish blonde dude showed up. Didn't get much detail from Zant."
Link raised an eyebrow and groaned. "Fine," He got up and pulled his pants back on.
"Jeez I thought you were coming out naked there. I was about to holler for a warning there man."
"Shut up Sheik."
