A/N: I work, so here is a small chapter, drama galore, but no worries... It's getting better :)
"NO!" Aubrey screamed as she ran toward them. "No, no, no!"
She dropped to the floor at the same time Chloe ran from the guest room. At seeing Beca lying still on the floor she immediately broke down into sobs. Aubreys hands hovered frantically above their unmoving girlfriend, not knowing what to do.
"What did you do?!" Chloe screamed at Jesse, who looked up at her, his face held the look of despair.
"I didn't!" He yelled and Aubrey, not being able to stop her self, grabbed Beca by the shoulders and rolled her over, holding her lifeless body in her lap as she cried almost uncontrollably. She put her fingers to her neck and felt for a pulse.
"She has a pulse, but it's faint. We have to get her to the hospital! Now!" The blonde sobbed, holding her tightly.
Jesse shook his head.
"No, no that's not going to happen,"
"Jesse, she will die!" Chloe yelled.
He stood up, grabbing his hair in frustration, "This is wrong!" He yelled. "This isn't supposed to happen!"
Chloe looked over through blurry eyes to see Bumper had stopped moving, and the gun he used to shoot Beca was still in his hands.
She shot up and bolted over to him, eyes on the gun, intending to kill Jesse this time.
"Stop!" Jesse yelled and lunged at her, grabbing her by the hair and yanking her around holding her tightly.
"Mama!" They all looked to see Alex running toward Aubrey and Beca.
Aubrey tried to shield Beca so Alex couldn't see but it was useless.
The little girl dropped down next to them. "Mama? Why is mama sleeping?!" She asked Aubrey and finally some sort of emotion was showing in her eyes.
"Jesse, please! Let me take her to the hospital, please?!" Aubrey begged. Alex looked over at Jesse.
"You hurt my mama! You said you wouldn't hurt her!" She yelled and stood up running over and began punching him in the leg, it being all she could reach. Still having a tight hold on Chloes hair with one hand and her waist with his other, he used his leg and pushed her away.
"Don't touch her!" Chloe growled throwing her head back and hitting him in the nose. He didn't release her, but angrily tightened his grip on her, making her whimper in pain.
"I hate you Mr. Camp! You are bad!" Alex cried and ran from the room.
Chloe looked at the mess that was their house, Detective Kendrick still unmoving, bumper dead, Beca bleeding to death in Aubreys arms. This was a nightmare.
"You want her to die?!"
Jesse looked at Aubrey. "She will die. Then this will have all be for nothing. You will go to jail. Prison. For the rest of your life. Her death is on you!"
He closed his eyes tightly. Seemingly fighting with something they couldn't see. Something in his head.
"Fine! Go!" He yelled. His voice strained. "But Chloe stays. Alex and Stacie too. So I know you will come back. And if you tell anyone. If the police come here, I kill them all."
Aubrey looked at Chloe. The redhead nodded as much as she could,
"Take her, Bree, please, don't let her die." She said.
She stared for a second, before nodding and began to stand, lifting her small body with her.
A static echoed through the room and an unknown voice could be heard.
"Detective Kendrick, this is Eagle Lake police, we have found a John Doe, in the lake. Multiple gun shot wounds to the chest and head. Update on the Posen residence."
The looked at each other. Jesse held Chloe tighter and looked down at the Walkie on Kendricks belt. He cleared his throat and lowered them to the floor, releasing her hair and grabbing the Walkie.
He hit the button. "Suspect Bumper Allen confirmed dead at the Posen residence. Aubrey Posen has taken Beca Mitchell to the hospital, gun shot wound. I'll follow them. Chloe Beale, staying at the residence with Daughter Alex."
"Units in route."
He dropped the Walkie. "Get going." He ordered Aubrey."say nothing."
"I love you, Chloe." She said.
"I love you too, Bree. So much. Take care of her,"
She nodded and walked through the still open front door. She had some difficulty opening the door to the car, but soon had Beca in the back seat, the seat belt holding her in at the waist and she peeled away from the house toward the hospital.
Inside the house, Jesse turned Chloe to face him. "I'm moving him to the guest room." He said before pushing her aside and lifting Kendrick over his shoulder.
"I'll be in Alex's room. With her. You take care of the police, and removing this piece of trash." He motioned to Bumper.
"Don't fuck up, Chloe. Because I will kill her. That John Doe they found is Donald. I shot him right in front of her. So don't fuck up, cause I'll do the same to you." He let her go and walked toward the guest room. She followed and watched helplessly as he dropped Kendrick on the floor and picked Alex up, this time, she struggled and screamed and carried her from the room.
She closed her eyes shut as she listened to her small fearful voice screaming for help as he took her up the stairs.
She had been in the process of untying and waking up Stacie when's he heard the shots. She looked over to find the brunette still very much unconscious.
She could already hear the sirens approaching. She was going to lie. She was going to do as Jesse said, and they would never know he was there. They would think Alex was asleep upstairs. They would take her statement, and take the body away. Then, she would get the gun hidden behind the family picture on the mantel above the fire place, she would go upstairs, and she would kill him. In front of Alex or not, Beca might die. She saw no other option. This wasn't the life for Alex, she had seen and would see things she should never have to see. But seeing them is better than the life she would be living if Jesse decided to Kill her and Aubrey and take Alex and Beca. The hate she had flowing through her made her want to go up the stairs at that moment and finish the job. She looked over to the mantel before walking to it and grabbing the gun.
She never wanted to have to use all the hidden fire arms in the house, she hated that they had to have them. But now, she was glad. She held it in her hands and looked at it. The gun behind the family photo. The one they never moved. The photo of Beca holding a tiny baby in her arms, a tired but happy smile on her face. The photo was taken just 2 days after Alex was born.
They were still in the hospital. Chloe on the bed to her right, Aubrey to her left. None of them looking at the camera, all eyes were on the beautiful baby girl in Becas arms. The Nurse had taken the photo and they had it framed a week later. Their favorite portrait. The start of their new lives, with their new baby daughter. They would have that back. Chloe would get it back.
She had promised herself. Promised them. They had promised each other that no matter what, they would protect their family, and now was her chance. She knew what had to be done.
She looked up toward the stairs before cocking the gun, holding it down to her side and heading for the stair case. She had almost made it when the door flew open and with in seconds the living room was filling with police.
"Chloe Beale?"
She moved the gun behind her back, tucking it into her pants and nodded.
The police were already getting to work on Bumpers body and taking pictures as two walked toward her.
"Can you tell us what happened?" One asked.
She looked up the stairs. Then back at them.
Nodding slowly and walking away from the stairs.
Soon.
