AN:
Me: No, Alicia, I'm not going to ask my dear readers that!
Alicia: But come on! If you want to know, just ask them!
Me: No! It would be rude to ask them if they are boys or girls, because no-one needs to know their real gender on the internet. I'm not going to ask them!
Alicia: But Author, you wanted to know if you had any male readers, so just ask them-
Hannah: Ehm, I'm sorry to interrupt, but we've started.
Me/Alicia: *turns silent*
Me: Great, now the first AN is wasted… THANKS A LOT ALICIA!
I guess I'll have to wait to the next AN to explain why you had to wait for this chapter. Oh well, enjoy this late chapter!
I don't own NinjaGo!
(Now it starts, Lloyd's P.O.V)
I looked away from the others and down at myself once more, my hands shaking and warm tears running down my cheeks.
Th-this, this has to be a dream. It's just a dream, I'm just dreaming. I'm not a kid again, I'm just having a bad dream, right? Right?
"Lloyd, what happened to you?" Cole asked, and I looked back up at him.
"I-I, I don't kn-know…" I whispered, panic clearly visible in my voice, and suddenly Alicia sat down next to me and picked me up in her lap, holding me close to her.
"Don't cry Lloyd, please. I… I think I know what happened to you." She said, and now everyone's eyes was at her. Instead of answering them she took a hold of me and stood up, carrying me in a way that I could imagine a mother would when she carries her child, and she then walked out of the bathroom and headed to the Game room. Since I had my head on her shoulder, I looked up behind her and saw Hannah and the other guys following us, but Ellie had gone back to her bedroom and Alex had gone to the room that Jasper and Night shared, most likely because they'd probably woken up by all the noise.
Once we entered the Game room Alicia sat down in the armchair, holding me in her lap again, and the others sat down on the sofa.
"So, what do you think could have happened to Lloyd, Alicia?" Zane asked, and I could feel her sigh before she answered.
"Do you all remember the Tomorrow's tea that caused Lloyd to become a teenager in the first place?" she asked.
"The thing he used in Mother Doomsday's Comix to turn the Grundle back to bones?" Jay asked, and Alicia nodded.
"Exactly. Sensei Wu just got a visit from the woman who runs the shop where he bought the tea, and she said there was something wrong with it. That's why I woke all of you up, because I thought the tea might've made you kids again." She explained, and Kai looked a bit confused.
"But if there actually was something wrong with that tea, then how come Lloyd is the only one who turned back into a kid? Shouldn't the tea have affected us as well?" he said, and Zane nodded.
"Kai does have a point. In theory, the tea would have affected all of us, and not just Lloyd. So how come we are not children as well?" he said, and to that, Alicia sighed again.
"I don't know." She whispered, and the room became silent for a while.
"But maybe I do." Hannah suddenly said, and we all turned our heads towards her.
"Seriously? You do?" Jay asked, and Hannah nodded.
"This might not be the case, but what if Lloyd is the only one who turned back into a kid because he wasn't supposed to be affected by the tea in the first place? I mean, think about it. When the four of you used the tea, it was to return to your normal teenage selves after Lord Garmadon turned you into kids, while Lloyd on the other hand wasn't even supposed to be affected by the tea and turned into a teenager by accident. So maybe that's why he's the only one who turned into a kid now… because he actually returned to his normal age." Hannah said, and everyone stared dumbstruck at her.
"Did you really come up with that theory yourself?" Cole asked, and Hannah nodded with a proud smile.
"I do not even believe I would have come up with that conclusion." Zane said, still with a look of amazement, and Hannah put her hands over her cheeks.
"Aww, stop it, you're making me blush." She said in a slightly sarcastic voice.
I looked up at Alicia after hearing all this, and I felt my heart sink as I realized that… I can't be together with her if I'm a kid. I could feel my panic growing stronger, and more tears ran down my cheeks.
"But if I'm a kid now… how will I be able to turn back into a teenager?" I asked, the sadness visible in my voice, and Hannah's smile disappeared as she sunk back into the sofa. Only seeing that made me understand that she didn't know the answer, and my heart fell even deeper.
"We'll just find more Tomorrow's tea and turn him into a teenager again." Nya suddenly said from the door, and I rose my head to look at her.
"How long have you've been standing there?!" Kai asked, clearly surprised, and Nya chuckled a bit.
"Quite a while, actually. And I've got to say, you're really good with theories, Hannah." She said, and Hannah smiled again.
"Thank you! But hey, it's just a theory, a game theory. Thanks for watching." She said, and everyone stared at her before shaking their heads and looking back at Nya when she started speaking again.
"Anyways… I just spoke to Miss Také, and she said that we would be able to turn Lloyd back to normal with another dose of Tomorrow's tea, but unfortunately she has no more of it in her store." She said, and Cole looked at her.
"Then how are we supposed to turn Lloyd back to normal?" he asked, and Nya pulled out a paper from what almost seemed like out of nowhere.
"She gave me a list of ingredients to make the tea, and we actually have all of them here on the ship. Well, all except for one." She explained, and I started to smile a bit.
"What ingredient are we missing?" I asked, and Nya looked at the paper.
"According to Miss Také, it's the one thing that makes the tea work. It's called Isha, and from what the computer says, it's a root that grows at the bottom of the Ocean, and it's extremely dangerous if picked in the wrong way." She explained, and I felt a small spark of hope in my heart.
"The Ocean isn't too far away from here. If we start the engines now, we should be there by morning!" Jay said with a smile as he jumped out of the sofa and grabbed Nya's hand, before he ran out of the Game room.
I let out a small yawn, not until now realizing how tired I was, and Alicia looked down at me.
"Seems like someone's getting tired." She said with a warm smile, and I let out another yawn, causing the guys to laugh a bit. I looked back up at Alicia, but before I had the time to answer, she had already started to leave the room. It didn't take long before we were back in the guys' bedroom, and Alicia laid me down on the bed before pulling the covers over me and kissing my forehead.
"Don't worry Lloyd, we'll turn you back to normal." She whispered, and I answered her with a smile before I shut my eyes, and drifted off to sleep.
(Next morning, quick Alex's P.O.V)
"I blame Jay for all of this. He was the one who said we'd be by the ocean by morning, because it's not like this enormous flying ship will have trouble flying with NO FUEL!" I said with a very irritated voice as I punched Jay's arm. He looked at me and grabbed his arm, and suddenly Cole put his hand on my shoulder.
"Calm down, Alex. It's not his fault." He said and looked at me, and I soon calmed down a bit and looked back at him.
Around 6 this morning we had to land the Bounty because the fuel was running low, which meant we had to WALK the rest of the way to the ocean. Only that took us about 2 or 3 hours, but when you're doing a trip like that on an empty stomach, it feels like it takes FOREVER! And to make it all worse, once we finally came to the ocean, we realized that nobody had thought of what we would do to get the root. So, we had to do the 3 hour-walk BACK to the Bounty again, and when we were close enough to see the ship through the trees, that's when I finally let out my anger.
"Sorry, Cole. I just get irritated when I don't get enough sleep…" I answered back and blushed a bit.
"She does have a point though. We wouldn't even have had to do this pointless trip if Jay would've just looked at the fuel tank." Kai said, and Jay looked back at him with a surprised expression on his face.
"I must agree. This whole expedition could have been avoided if-"
"Okay, okay, I get it!" Jay said, cutting Zane off when he started talking, and then he looked back at Nya and continued talking to her. I sighed.
"Does anyone know what time it is?" I asked, and I saw Hannah looking at her watch.
"It's soon 12pm. And by the First Spinjitzu Master, I'm going to die if I don't get anything to eat soon! I'll even eat Cole's food if I have to!" She answered, and everyone gasped. I didn't really get it, was Cole's cooking really that bad? Sure, I've never seen him cook, but they're talking about his food like it's poison.
"Just hold on a little longer Hannah, I can see the Bounty just up-"
Nya never got the time to finish what she was saying, since the sound of an explosion took everyone by surprise.
"What was that?!" Jay asked, and I looked up the hill where our ship was. Another explosion was heard, and this time I could see smoke rising from the ship.
"Someone's attacking the Bounty!" I shouted, and everyone looked up ahead.
"Guess breakfast has to wait, COME ON!" Hannah shouted and started running towards the now enflamed ship.
(Switching to Hannah's P.O.V)
Once I saw the Bounty in flames my heart stopped. The memories of my past washed over me like a cold wave, but I forced myself to shake it off. Alicia, Lloyd, Jasper and Night was still in there, and if they were being attacked, Alicia would be the only one able to protect them.
"Guess breakfast has to wait, COME ON!" I told the others and started running back towards the ship. If something's happened to anyone aboard, I swear on my brother's grave that I will turn the forest upside-down to find whoever dared to try and hurt my family!
Once I was almost there I used my powers to launch myself up on deck, and to my surprise I couldn't find any traces of an attack. I shook my head and opened the door downstairs, and I to back away when a thick cloud of smoke rose in front of me. I couldn't see the fire the smoke came from, and somehow that gave me more courage. I heard the others climb aboard behind me, and I looked back at them.
"Stand back." I told them, and I started to move my arms in big circles, drawing the smoke out of the ship and around me instead, and once all the smoke had left the corridors I went down on one knee and fired the smoke like a missile up in the sky.
I stood up again and ran inside, the others close behind me, and I stopped by the Game room. I saw the kids lying unconscious on the sofa, smoke on their faces, but Alicia was nowhere to be found. I heard Alex gasp behind me, before she ran into the room and picked her brother up in her arms.
"Jasper, are you okay?" she asked, and Jas started coughing before he looked up at her.
"I-I'm, I'm fine…" he whispered, and Alex ran out of the room again and up on deck, most likely to give Jasper fresh air. I looked back into the room before I walked inside and picked Night up, and when I looked to my side I saw Cole holding Lloyd. We left the room and followed Alex up on deck while the others went to look for Alicia, and well up in the fresh air, I put Night down on the wooden floor. I looked at Alex and Jasper, and I could see how Jas was coughing out smoke, and that's when something clicked.
"Of course!" I said to myself and hit my forehead, but I didn't realize that I actually said it out-loud.
"What?" Cole asked, but I looked down at Night before I placed a hand on her stomach, and when I when I found the smoke in her lungs I slowly moved my hand up her chest. When my hand was by her throat she opened her mouth, and just as my index finger left her chin the smoke flew out of her mouth, and she started coughing. I looked up at Cole with a small smile and moved over to where he was sitting, and I did the same thing to Lloyd.
When I was done I stood up and walked over to Alex and Jas, and when I had finally removed all the smoke from Jasper's lungs I heard heavy footsteps running up on deck. I turned my head and saw Jay and Nya running past us towards the infirmary, and then Kai and Zane holding onto Alicia while they were walking up the stairs. At first I thought that she too was unconscious, but then I heard Zane mumble something to her that sounded like; here is a step, a little higher, here comes another one. It almost sounded like he was guiding her up the stairs. But, why would he need to do that?
When they were finally on deck I walked over to them.
"Are you okay Alicia? What's wro-OH MY GOSH!"
(Earlier today, Alicia's P.O.V, man we're all over the place today!)
"So, who wants to watch a movie?" I asked and looked at the kids.
Surprisingly when I'd told Jasper and Night about how Lloyd turned into a kid, they had taken it really well, almost like they already knew. Then again, Night had all of my memories, and I'm pretty sure that someone must've said something in a newspaper when Lloyd turned into a teenager. So honestly, I'm not really that surprised. Anyways, since the others went to the ocean to get the magic root and Sensei went to get more fuel for the ship, me and the kids had mostly been playing all the time. It really warmed my heart when I saw Lloyd play with Night and Jas like a normal kid, because I know how sad he must've been when he was forced to grow up and miss out on his childhood.
We had been playing all kinds of games, eating I don't even know how much candy and played loads of videogames, but now I felt that maybe we should try to relax a bit, so I thought that we should maybe watch a movie.
"I don't know. We've already seen every movie on this ship." Jasper answered, and both Night and Lloyd nodded. I put a hand on my hip and tapped a finger on my lips, like I usually do when I think, and then I snapped my fingers.
"I have a perfect idea! Hold on just one second!" I said and left the Game room. I walked into to the Girls' bedroom and grabbed a piece of paper, and then I walked back to the kids and sat down on the couch as I started drawing. There might not be a chance that this will work, but if it does, that would mean that my powers are much more awesome than I thought!
I drew a final line and saw the drawing glow, and…
"It worked!" I laughed when the DVD case jumped into my hand, and Jas looked at me with a surprised face.
"How did you do that?!" he asked, and Night laughed.
"It's her powers. She can create anything she wants!" she answered, and Jasper started to laugh.
"That's so awesome!" he said, and Lloyd looked over at me.
"So, what did you create?" he asked, and I smirked.
"Well, I don't know if it will work, but if it does, I've just made a copy of a movie from my world." I answered and walked over to the TV. Well, now to see if it actually works.
(One and a half hour later.)
"That was so awesome! Big Hero 6 is my new favorite movie!" Night laughed, and both Jas and Lloyd nodded before they too started to laugh.
"Alicia, you're amazing!" Lloyd said and hugged me, and I laughed a bit too. Once he let go of me Jasper's laughter settled down, and he looked up at me.
"Alicia, if you can draw anything, can you draw Baymax? That would be so cool!" he said, and without even hesitating I answered back.
"Of course I can! Like you said, I can do anything!" I said with a smile, and that's when something clicked in the back of my head. If I can do anything… I can make the Isha root and make the Tomorrow's tea myself! Why didn't I think of this earlier?!
"Jasper, you're a genius! Wait just a minute, I'll be right back!" I said and ran out of the Game room, and behind me I could hear Jasper say What did I do? before I entered Sensei's room. I'm sure he won't mind if I borrow one of his books, right? I mean, it is to turn his nephew back to normal, so it should be okay.
I looked through a bookshelf where I swear I'd seen something that said plants before, and to my luck, I actually found a book. I opened it up and looked for Isha, and after a while I found it. I couldn't read anything about the root itself, since I don't know the ancient language of Ninjago, but the name was in English AND there was a picture! Great, that's just what I need!
I took the book with me back to my room, sat down on my bed and started to draw the root in my sketchbook. But when I was almost done I remembered something that Nya said yesterday.
"…it's a root that grows at the bottom of the Ocean, and it's extremely dangerous if picked in the wrong way…"
I wonder why it grows at the bottom of the ocean, and what happens when they pick it in the wro-
BOOM!
I don't know what happened after I was done drawing, but the last thing I remember before everything went black, was the light of my pencil and the root landing in my hand. After that, it's all blank…
"Alicia?! Are you in there?!" a voice called out to me, and I was suddenly aware of the extreme heat around me. I pushed myself up from the floor and tried to look around, but as soon as I tried to open my eyes I felt something stinging them, so I quickly closed them again. I moved my hand to the side, trying to find the bed, only to be met by something burning my undamaged hand, and I let out a scream.
I heard the door slam open and someone running inside, and suddenly a very cold hand helped me up from the creaking floor and out from the hot room. I tried to open my eyes once more, but it was all black, so I closed them again. Guess I hit my head when I fell off the bed.
"Are you okay Alicia?" Jay suddenly asked from somewhere, and I nodded.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I said, and the cold hand that led me out of the room placed itself on my forehead just above my eyes.
"What happened here?! The whole room was on fire!" I heard Kai say from some distance away.
"I don't know. I tried to draw the root we needed to make the Tomorrow's tea, and suddenly everything just turned black… Wait, are the kids okay?! Oh God, please tell me they're not hurt!" I said and tried to walk in the direction I guessed the Game room was in. But again, the cold and stopped me.
"Don't worry, they're okay. We got them out in time." Nya said, and my panic settled down a little bit.
"Alicia, can you try to open your eyes?" Zane suddenly asked, and that's when I realized that it was his hand that was holding onto me.
"Ehm, I'll try. But I still can't see anything from when I hit my head." I said before I slowly opened my eyes, and like I thought, I still couldn't see anything. Everyone turned silent for an uncomfortable amount of time, and I started to get a little scared.
"Kai, help me get Alicia to the infirmary, now." Zane said, his voice slightly panicked, and that's when I got really scared.
"Wh-Why? I'm fine, just a little scratched up, but that's no reason to go to the infirmary." I said and let out a nervous laugh, but when I heard the dead silence around me, I immediately stopped.
"Alicia, how many fingers am I holding up?" Zane asked, and I rubbed my eyes, trying to focus my vision on his hand, but it was all just black.
"Eh, I don't know. I can't see anything." I whispered, and I heard Zane sigh.
"Then it is as I feared. I am ever so sorry about this, Alicia… but I believe you have lost your sight."
My whole world collapsed.
"H-Hahah, n-nice one, Zane. You almost made me believe you." I said, laughing a bit again, but I stopped when he placed a hand on my shoulder.
"I am not lying, Alicia. I understand if you do not wish to believe it, but sooner or later you must accept it." Zane said, and I lowered my head as I started crying.
"So… I'm really blind?" I whispered, and I didn't even need my sight to know that Zane was nodding.
"We're sorry, Alicia, but you are." Nya said, her voice clearly filled with sadness, and suddenly Zane put one of my arms around his neck. Another almost burning hand grabbed my other arm before I was lead somewhere, and if I had to guess, I'd guess it was outside. I seemed to be correct when I was suddenly greeted with a warm wind and the feeling of sunlight on my face. I could hear Nya and Jay run up on deck, and then Zane slowed down a bit.
"Here is a step." He said, and when I rose my foot he told me to raise it a little higher, and when I'd made it up the first step he guided up the rest of the stairs. Once I finally heard the familiar sound of the wooden deck under my feet I heard light running, which somehow made me guess it was Hannah.
"Are you okay Alicia? What's wro-OH MY GOSH!" she said, and I rose my head upwards towards her, a sad smile on my lips.
"What is it Hannah?" Lloyd's voice suddenly asked from somewhere, and light footsteps made their way over to us. But once they stopped, I heard a gasp.
"Alicia… your eyes…" Lloyd whispered, and more tears fell down my cheeks.
"I know. I'm sorry, Lloyd. I tried to make the root for the tea, but it exploded, and I lost my sight." I whispered with a small laugh, before I dropped to my knees and started to full out sob.
This can't be happening… it just can't…
AN: And that's it! Finally! And now onto explaining the lateness of this chapter!
So, as I should've said in the beginning of this chapter, *glares at Alicia* I'm sorry this was up a bit late, but my computer's battery has been freaking out and I had to get a new one. AND, I've been working at my grandfather's workshop for two weeks (don't ask why, school stuff) so I've been too tired to write anything.
Anyways, seeing as that is all I wanted to say, I'll see you in the next chapter!
Asta la Pasta Brochachos!
