"Shadeflame, you are covered in blood!" Miststrike gasped.

Shadeflame purred softly and brushed her away. "I'm fine mother, I just sped things along a little."

"Sped things up a little?" Snowstar asked lowly. His eyes glowed in interest.

"Windclan will go to war with Shadowclan. This will weaken them, making it easy for us to attack them."

Snowstar purred and nuzzled her. "Smart kit, very smart." He walked away.

Amberbee bounded over to her with glittering amber eyes. "I have another idea on how we can weaken Windclan!" She pawed at the ground. "Not that we can't take them on, because obviously we can, but it will be helpful."

"Tell me," Shadeflame mewed curiously. Amberbee led her to the warriors den, where they laid down and Shadeflame cleaned herself.

"We can deplete their supplies. Their medicine cat, do you remember where they keep their stocks?"

Shadeflame turn interested amber eyes her way. "Yes..."

"We can destroy their supplies!"

Shadeflame nearly pounced on her. "That's brilliant!" She yowled. "Did you tell father already?"

"Yes! He thinks it's brilliant!"

"Great!"

"What are you two yowling about?" Yellerthorn growled.

Shadeflame scowled at him. He had been grumpy ever since his fight with Addersnap. "Plans, go away."

Yellerthorn growled, but he went quiet as Addersnap entered. "Shadeflame what happened?"

"A small spat, don't worry." She said dismissively.

Addersnap walked over to her and rubbed his face against her back, purring loudly. Shadeflame shivered in surprise, then turned and batted at his face with sheathed paws. Addersnap rolled and landed on his stomach, tail twitching in anticipation. The two stayed in that position, eyes locked on each other and tails twitching.

Amberbee watched in amusement. "You guys are meant for each other."

Yellerthorn huffed and curled up in his moss then took a nap. His body twitched as he entered a dark place in his dream.

The golden tom looked around.

"Do you want revenge?" A voice whispered.

Yellerthorn gulped and backed away. The voice was around him.

"She isn't accepting you, don't you want revenge?"

She? He meant Shadeflame, right?

"I can help you," the voice whispered. "She doesn't want someone weak like you. She wants a strong one, a ruthless killer, like Addersnap. I can help you beat him."

Yellerthorn's eyes darkened. Yes he wanted revenge, and he wanted Addersnap to pay. He especially wanted Shadeflame.

"Good, all you have to do is get a partner."

"How?" He asked. The darkness around him chuckled.

Suddenly Gingerrose appeared in front of him, sleeping. "Make her loyal to you, lie to her," the voice told him. At that moment Gingerrose woke up.

"Yellerthorn!" She exclaimed. "Where are we?"

"Somewhere private," he lied quickly.

"Tell her you love her," the voice whispered in his head. He looked hesitant. The voice growled. "Tell her or forget my help!"

"I love you!" He blurted.

Gingerrose gasped in shock. "Huh?"

"I love you," Yellerthorn repeated.

Gingerrose's eyes lit up. "Really! Oh Yellerthorn, I've liked you for such a long time!"

"Meet me by a large oak with a hole in it. Use her to your advantage," the voice hissed evilly, chuckling before it disappeared. Yellerthorn nodded, that he would. He would do anything to get Shadeflame to be his.

"There are a lot of things to do, Gingerrose, if we are to secure a safe future for us and our kits."

"You want kits?!" She nearly screeched. "I'll happily bear them!" She ran to him and hugged him. "Oh Yellerthorn!" Yellerthorn returned the hug blankly, his eyes dark as he planned. Yes, yes this could work.
