Prince Tobias doesn't know much about his past, other than his parents died in a fire and the Royals adopted him. The villagers ball was supposed to give Tobias answers not leave him with more questions. (Different time period) (Victorian Era)

37. A Message From the Queen

Chapter 37

Anyways, here we go.

TRIS POV

"Let me see it" Christina demanded. She had already seen the ring about five times. I paused from eating my Dauntless cake to show it to her. Tobias wrapped an arm around her waist.

"When's the wedding?"

"No idea" I said, "Sometime, soon, hopefully"

Tobias ate his cake quickly before saying, "Come on, we have to go"

I stood up and followed him. Today we were meeting the queen for something of utmost importance. We went and waited for the trains, with his arms around my waist. We were alone on the roof.

"Last night was fun" he whispered. I rolled my eyes, smiling. He was probably thinking about that the whole day.

"I'm sure it was"

"It really was"

I kissed his jaw.

I heard the train before it came from around the corner.

"Come on, Tobias" I called out to him, jumping off the ledge into the train. He smiled, following me onto the train. He grabbed my waist and pulled me towards him, bringing me to the nearest booth. Kissing, we sat together all the way to the castle.

"Tobias, why do you love me?"

"Don't ask that. You should know the answer"

"I might need to be reminded" I whispered.

He smiled, and kissed my lips and whispering into them like a telegraph, "You're smart. You're brave. You're selfless. You're beautiful. You're one of a kind. You're strong. You're sexy. You're the most wonderful person in my life" he said, and pulled away to take my finger with the ring, "And I'm so glad to call you mine"

He kissed my finger once, then retreated to my lips.
"And I love you, Beatrice Prior"

"Ah" the queen said, "I was afraid you wouldn't show up. What a debacle that would've been"

She sat across from us on extremely long table. Tobias and I sat side by side.

"As I was saying, I eliminated the Erudite faction and made them without faction; I like to call them faction-less, and my Dauntless faction is now my new Erudite faction. So I was wondering if you'd like to be my new Dauntless faction" she said.

Tobias thought it over. A crease appeared over his eyebrows. He was thinking hard.

I cleared my throat and asked a question, "Would we get food delivered?"

"Absolutely"

I asked another question, "Would we be able to steal?"

"No" she said, "The only thing I ask in return is your protection to us. You be our guardians. And we'll provide you food, clothes, a new home that is, may I add, gigantic"

I turned my head towards Tobias. He has his eyes trained on hers. To me, I felt like there was more to joining this faction system than just that.

"Tobias?" I ask, "What do you think?"

He shifted in his chair, "I think" he said, "I have to have a vote. With all the Rebels"

"You can have all the time you need"

"Give us three weeks. We'll back at this exact time three weeks from now"

"Agreed" she said, "Until next time, Tobias"

"When are you going to do the vote?" I ask, as we enter our apartment.

"I don't know" he said, "Soon"

We took off our jackets, "There's something suspicious about this offer that makes me think" I say.

"I don't see anything wrong with it" he said, "I just wanted to make sure the Rebels were okay with it"

"Smart" I say, as he wraps his arms around my waist, guiding me to our bedroom "Almost Erudite"

He smiles, shaking his head, "I fit in perfectly right here. With you. With you, my love" I place my hands around his neck.

"And I you" I say. He pulls me in for a tight kiss, pressing me hard to him.

"I love you" he whispers into my lips. It sends an adrenaline through me. I kiss him harder. His hand travels up my shirt, taking it off.

I break our kiss only to take his shirt off, skimming his tattoo on his sides. He kisses my neck, and I take off my pants, leaving me only in my undergarments. He presses his lips to each of my ravens, and I unbutton his pants, pulling them off.

He reaches around to me, to unclasp my bra, but I cut him off.

"You really want to do this again?" I ask, teasing him.

"Please" he whined.

"I don't know" I said, smiling, "May be-"

"Come here, you"

He pulled me back onto the bed, 'Where do you think you're going?"

I giggle, "Nowhere"

I reach up to kiss him as he unclasps my bra.

I know! I know! It's REALLY SHORT and I didn't do very many editations… I'm not sure if you're glad or sad to hear that this is probably the third-to-last chapter.

Anyways, I have to go eat. DON'T FORGET TO WATCH THE INSURGENT OFFICIAL SNEAK PEAK!
