Knock knock.

Shizuo didn't move too comfy wrapped up in his double bed. Pulling the covers higher the naked blond smiled blissfully under the warmth not willing to give it up. It had taken a while to get used to the swaying of the ship. He knew not to take the comfort for granted.

Knock knock.

"Shizuo-san, Captain Tanaka wants to see you." Came a small mumble through his cabin door.

Knock knock. Knock knock.

"Shizuo-san. Shizuo-san." Shizuo's brow twitched in irritation. Throwing back the covers the blond strode over to the door grabbing the black iron handle.

"WHAT?" He snapped standing in the doorway turning the deck hand to molten ash with his gaze. Everyone knew of his temper. Whether he tried to or not, he couldn't always hold back.

"Uh-uh-um." The young man stared at him looking up and down. "Captain wants to see you." The deckhand turned and ran. Rubbing a hand through his hair Shizuo glanced down realising he was stark naked. It wasn't the first time. Being out at sea gave him a sense of freedom that somethimes he forgot the basics.

"Ah." Stepping back into the comfort of his cabin Shizuo slammed the door looking around for his clothes. His boxers he found on the floor, pants he found by the door and shirt..."shit." Where the hell was his shirt?

Being first mate to the captain meant that he had a cabin to his self and didn't have to squish into the same one as the rest of the crew. It was the one thing that Tom knew about him. Shizuo liked his space and anyone that disrupted him risked his ire. He hadn't always been like it though.

Unfortunately the rest of the crew hadn't been so lucky, picking a fight with him as soon as they had come aboard. Shizuo had managed to last three minutes before hurling almost the entire crew overboard. That was before they had even left port.

Wrapping the sash around his waist, Shizuo tugged at the flared sleeves on his shirt. It wasn't perfect but it would do. Pulling on his knee length boots the blond smoothed down the leather flaps. It was time to go.

Leaving his cabin Shizuo found his way up on deck where his captain was controlling the wheel cigar in hand. It was rare for him to find someone that wasn't scared of him. That didn't come to hate him. Tom had taken him under his wing giving him options and opportunities to become the person he wanted to be.

That was why his hair was a dirty blond and he was on a small ship in the middle of the ocean. It was noisy at some points but with his strength he was a valuable asset able to protect the ship and its captain.

Foooound you

Shizuo froze head snapping to starboard where he swore the voice came from a whisper on the breeze. "What?" His nose twitched a wretched stench riding the air. "Something smells like shit." Tilting his head Shizuo covered his nose from the painfully familiar stench.

"Tom, something's coming!" The blond bellowed across the ship running to the wheel. The captain simply nodded fully trusting his first mate. If there was one thing that no one questioned it was his animal instincts. If Shizuo Heiwajima said something was coming then you had better well damn listen and get ready.

But knowing something was coming and knowing what it was were too different things. Shizuo met up with Tom, the captain already had his telescope out and ready scanning the horizon for what was coming. " ENEMY SHIP AHOY! PREPARE FOR BATTLE!" Tom bellowed across deck. As one the crew moved spreading out to get their jobs done. "Shizuo, I'll be counting on you." The blond first mate merely nodded lips twitching into a scowl.

Strangely enough although Shizuo was master in destruction his main role was to keep the ship in one piece. If the mast splintered then he would hold it in place whilst it was repaired. If the cannons were faulty then he would be the one lobbing the cannon balls with perfect aim.

Shizu-chaaaan

"Fuck." The first mate cursed reaching for a cutlass that wasn't there. The cannons were taking too long, weak crew members struggling to load them quick enough. Scooping up the cannon balls Shizuo aimed for the ship hurling the lead ball with terrifying velocity.

The second one followed then the third and fourth. The blond felt himself break into a cold sweat, an icy chill slipped along his spine. Shizuo had always counted himself as a monster yet what he had realised was that there were monsters in many different forms. Humans that maimed and killed committing unspeakable crimes. Then there were the other monsters. The ones everyone saw as only myths and legends.

Bang. Fweeeee.

Shizuo blinked seeing that the cannons were finally operational. Taking a step back the blond panted harshly eyes widening at the large hand on his shoulder. "...Tom."

"What's wrong?" His captain asked seeing the panic in his eyes. Not much scared him. "Take a look the ship is sinking." Carefully taking the telescope Shizuo extended the length looking through the lens. Sure enough the enemy ship was sinking.

Bang. Fweeee.

Shizuo watched as the mast cracked slowly falling. As if in slow motion the long mast smashed through the ship. Grinning in morbid satisfaction the blond handed the telescope back. It was doubtful they had managed to kill that but it was still an achievement.

That smell was still in the wind but hopefully it would soon disappear. "I'm going back to my cabin." Shizuo informed his captain. Tom simply nodded giving him a look of undisguised concern.

The short battle had been won but Shizuo had no doubt that was still alive searching for him. The creature always seemed to easily catch up with him no matter how far he went. The first mate had thought he had finally escaped after becoming a pirate.

That hated cold weather and really cold in general. Who knew it would venture out of its comfort zone travelling across the ocean to get to him. Monster. That was the only word to describe that. A cold blooded monster worse than he would ever be.

Trudging down the stairs below deck guilt began to settle in weighing him down. It was his life. His choice. It wasn't his fault that two sets of parents had got together and decided their first borns would get married. "Shit." Clenching his fist Shizuo hit the wall stopping himself at the last minute. A single punch and he could easily do fatal damage to Tom's ship.

"We did it! It's completely sunk! Do you think anyone survived?"

"Who cares! Let's celebrate!"

"Should we get Heiwajima-san?"

"...no. He looked really angry." Shizuo shrugged opening the door to his cabin. If they wanted to celebrate and have a good time, let them. Dropping down on the bed the blond tugged off his right boot and then his left leaving them on the floor. Laying back on the bed arms pillowed under his head Shizuo looked up at the ceiling closing his eyes. It wasn't long until the rocking of the ship got him off to sleep.

Shizu-chaan. Shizuo groaned unable to get the familiar voice out of his head. Turning over his movements felt more restricted. Wriggling his foot the blond felt something touching his leg. Shizu-chaan.That voice. It felt like it was getting closer. No longer a whisper in the back of his mind – a reminder of the past he had left behind.

"Shizu-chan." Shizuo gasped awake having trouble breathing. His eyes snapped open staring into deep crimson. Mouth set in a thin line the blond looked down hoping to hell he was having a nightmare. "Found you."

Not a dream. The first mate quickly realised. Definitely not a dream. "...Izaya." The short haired raven hadn't changed. Pale skin, gleaming vermilion orbs, jet back hair and a slim yet toned torso. There was no doubt that the raven would be a model back home- if he were human.

Where humans had legs, from waist down Izaya had a mass of blacker than night scales with light red flecks. Normally people would guess the raven was a merman. No. The raven was something much scarier. Lamia.

Izaya was half man half snake and on par with his strength. No scratch that. Izaya was stronger. Especially if he constricted around him like he was now. Shizuo gulped seeing the raven's lower half wrapped around him tightly. On a whim his body could be crushed before he could utter a sound.

"Get off of me." The first mate demanded.

"No. Why are you out here, Shizu-chan? Surely it couldn't be to run away again." Shizuo said nothing trying to get his arms free. "You, you're not cheating on me are you Shizu-chan? I can smell that captain on you. You're mine."

x-x-x

"Mmph." Shizuo groaned trying to speak past Izaya's tail. "Mm mmph hn!" The raven paid no attention gliding down his chest. His eyes widened seeing the black sleeve like cloth tugged from Izaya's waist. The raven smirked proudly showing off the hardened organ that would tear him apart.

"Shizu-chan, don't struggle." Sharp nails slashed at his shirt, impatient hands ripping it apart to reveal his chest. His pants followed the same fate. "We're promised for each other."

Back then his parents hadn't known they had been tricked. Lamias could easily conceal themselves with magic and that was what had happened. His parents thought their friends were human and the first born would be a girl.

Both were wrong. Izaya was something of a miracle child. A male lamia born in once every blue moon. The promise remained valid. The raven had his pick of all the female lamia and instead had settled on him. Shizuo had pushed him away. Told him where to go and even tried to kill him. His last resort had been to become a pirate and escape to a place where the weather was unpredictable and harsh.

"I have to claim you before someone else does." The lamia cooed stroking his cheek. "I'll be gentle." Shizuo gulped his strength useless. With his snake half Izaya was double his size. Closing his eyes he thought back to the days where they had a chance to become friends. The days where they hadn't known that they would be together.

Slowly the long black scaled thickness unravelled from his legs focusing on keeping his upper body captive. "Mmph!" Shizuo struggled a long warm wet tongue flicking out to lap at his flesh. Sharp nails dug into his thigh keeping him still.

Knock knock.

"Shizuo, can we talk?" Tom. His captain was at the door. Probably still concerned from his attitude earlier. Tom knew he was running from something, the captain just didn't know what.

Knock knock.

"Shizuo?" Shaking his head Shizuo grimaced at the thought of Tom finding him. Poking his tongue out the blond nipped at the tip of Izaya's tail in his mouth. Through puberty that was the one thing the raven had kept hidden, the most sensitive part of the lamia's body.

"Nn. Not there." The raven whined quietly. Shizuo used the opportunity to answer his captain covering the lamia's mouth. He could call for help but the first mate knew it would be no good.

"Sorry Tom, can we do this later? I'm not feeling too good." The handle rattled momentarily before he knew Tom had respected his wishes.

"Yeah. It can wait." Shizuo sighed resting back against the bed. Glancing at Izaya he knew this time there would be no escape. Izaya knew that too. It would be easy for the monster to slaughter the crew and its captain.

"You're not going to struggle?" The raven asked slowly a gleam in those crimson orbs.

"What's the point? You'll only kill everyone." Shizuo was done fighting.

"Only if they get in the way." The raven scowled. Soft fingers caressed his chest, touching his skin. Shizuo closed his eyes trying to think about the monster touching him. Trying not to think about the main part of Izaya's tail threaded through his legs rubbing against his thighs. The scales were warm and rough much like the erection prodding against him. "If you be good and promise to stay with me, I won't have to hurt them."

Up on deck joyous celebrations could be heard spread amongst the ship. No one came close to the first mate's cabin. No one heard the soft thuds inside or the muffled whimpers a mix of forced pleasure and nerve wracking pain. It was the first mate's job to protect the captain and the ship. None of the crew knew about the stowaway that had come aboard, the true monster that would have maimed them in seconds. Not even the captain had been aware of what Shizuo had been running from. A secret that wouldn't be hidden for long when someone finally took a step into the ravaged first mate's room.

But by then the pair would be long gone. Shizuo would be whisked away by the possessive lamia away from the cold and to a more comfortable place. He didn't know where he would be taken only that it would be the two of them so as not to make Izaya jealous. His days as a pirate would be over wrapped in a crushing embrace.
