Chapter 37

Once they were back in the ballroom, Markus rushed over to his family and interrupted a conversation they were having with a witch. The witch left as she knew they needed to talk and his family was intrigued by what was happening. Markus ran a hand through his hair and then whispered "Caroline knows".

They all started at him wide eyed and Colby nearly spit his drink out. Brandt said "uncle Markus, I thought you were going to wait till after everything was done" he was referring to being turned into hybrids and the destruction of Mikael.

"I was but Caroline figure it out. She remembered seeing me in the past and it was rather I tell her the truth or she was going to run to Niklaus and tell him, we are here to hurt the family".

Edvard sighed and said "I guess you did the right thing then brother" they all looked towards the dance floor where they saw Caroline being guided to by Klaus and she smiled at them which they returned.

When Caroline walked back into the ball room she rushed to Klaus and when he saw her, he kissed her and said "my love, I don't believe we have had a dance in the last 10 minuets".

She smirked then said "lead the way" Klaus grabbed her hand and guided her towards the dance floor and along the way she notice that Markus and the other new hybrids smiled at her and she knew that he had told them so she smiled back.

Klaus then twirled her and she giggled at how quick he pulled her into his arms and had an arm on her waist. They were looking into each others eyes then he said "have I told you how beautiful you are?" She rolled her eyes and he said "you look magnificent".

She smiled and said "thank you".

He leaned into her and whispered "although you would look a lot better without the dress on".

She gave him a playful look as he pulled away and said "as long as you don't rip it".

He shook his head and said "can't make any promises, my love".

Something then caught her in the corner of her eye and when she looked properly she saw that on the other side of the room, Elijah was kissing Amelia. She looked back at Klaus and he was smirking "when did that happen?"

"About five minuets ago, so you and Rebekah can call of whatever plan you had. Elijah apologised for practically abandoning her in New Orleans and explained how much of a fool he was and that he wants her. And now you can see the result of that".

She giggled but then saw that Liz was talking to a dark haired man who she didn't recognised and he was about Liz's age "who is that?" she said protectively.

Klaus looked over and smirked at how protectively Caroline was "she's a big girl, she doesn't need protection and wasn't she pretending to be your mother" she glared at him until he sighed and said "he is a warlock named Anthony. He is completely harmless and wont harm her and they seem that they are hitting it off pretty well".

She smirked and said "we may be a thousand years apart but she is still my family. She is a descendent of Thomas" she then looked back over to them for a second and said "Liz needs someone like that, who will protect her".

Klaus spun her around and said "my love, always trying to make sure everyone is happy".

She shook her head and said "only the people I care about".

Bonnie was walking around the ball room after she had finished talking to Greta and had a few conversations with other witches and vampires. She was surprised to find that when she was walking, someone grabbed her hand and by the feel of his skin she knew who it was. She turned around to find Kol smirking at her as he said "I believe you owe me a dance".

"You asked me to save you one, I did not reply" she said teasingly.

He leaned forward and whispered in her ear "Bonnie Bennett, I'm pretty sure you don't want what happened in the hall to happen right here, do you? Because by you teasing me in such a way, that is what it will lead to".

"Maybe I do, maybe I don't" she whispered as he was pulling away "lets dance" Kol still had hold of her hand and they walked slowly towards the dance floor.

When they got onto the dance floor, Kol placed his left hand on Bonnie's hip and he ran his fingers slowly down her arm and then held her right hand tightly. As they dance closely he asked "so have you thought about what I told you yet?"

"You said to not let my head rule my heart but how am I supposed to do that if they are both agreeing on one thing" he gave her a mixture of intrigued and a confused look "they are both telling me not to hurt you...either way we look at this, if I'm not immortal then it hurts you".

"I told you that I will cherish every second I have with you".

"I know" she nodded "...but before we get into this, you need to be 100% sure that you will let me go if I chose to stay as a witch".

He sighed and said "I will never let you go...but if you chose to stay a witch then I won't stop you or try to turn you".

"Not even if it turns out bad towards the end".

He spun her around and then pulled her close and completely forgot that they were stood on the dance floor "I swear it. I do not want you to hate what you are when there is so much about you to be loved...if being turned into a vampire makes you unhappy then I won't allow it to happen" they both stared into each others eyes and as Bonnie scanned the rest of his face, her eyes suddenly flickered down onto his lips and he smirked as he saw this. He laced an arm slowly around her waist as she placed a hand gently on the back of his neck. They both slowly leaned forward and when their lips finally touched it were a slow but passionate kiss.

Around them people were smiling and a few people began to clap about the new couple. Rebekah said "about bloody time".

Caroline then said "you can't hide your feelings now, Bonnie" just loud enough so that Bonnie could hear her. Bonnie smiled into the kiss but then Kol pulled away and they smiled at each other. Kol took Bonnie's hand and then he pulled her along as they walked out of the ball room. People were smiling at them as they walked out but during this happiness, she didn't notice that a few people had left seconds before she did.

Once they were out of the ball room and into the quiet hallway, Kol pushed Bonnie to the left and began to kiss her when she banged into an antique cupboard. He picked her up, while kissing her and placed her on the cupboard. He placed himself between her legs and Bonnie instantly wrapped her legs around him. His hand went to her ankle as he began to kiss her neck and his hand slowly went under her ball gown and went to the top of her thigh. He squeezed the top of her thigh and Bonnie bit her bottom lip and moaned his name.

They were both interrupted by a cough and although Bonnie shot out of her haze, Kol continued to kiss her. Bonnie pushed his hand out from underneath her dress and stood up in front of the person but Kol let out a frustration sigh. Bonnie looked at the man and said "Alaric, did you want to talk?"

Alaric saw the glare he was getting of Kol but shrugged it off "Bonnie, there's someone outside who wants to talk to you".

Bonnie rolled her eyes and said "if this is about Elena, I'm sorry but no".

"Actually, Bonnie, it's your parents".

Bonnie stiffened slightly because she knew what and who they must have called. She looked at Kol and said "get Caroline and Liz" he looked like he was about to protest but then she gave him a pleading look and said "please" he nodded then walked back into the ball room.

Bonnie walked out of the Mikaelson mansion with Alaric and saw a few cars and stood in front of them were Elena, Jenna and Damon stood near their car but a few feet away from them was Bonnie's father Rudy, her mother Abby, her adoptive brother Jamie and her cousin Lucy. They all gave her a stern look, except Jamie as he was just leaned against the car but as Alaric walked over to stand next to Jenna, Lucy took a step forward and said "what the hell are you up to know cuz?"
