A/N: I'm back! I was so excited to write this chapter and it's finally here!

Unn ran to her house and told her husband what happened. Spitelout decided to watch Snotlout and get Stoick. Unn left her house then ran to find Gothi. It took a few minutes, but Unn was able to find the elderly woman. Gothi walked fast to the Haddock household while Unn was getting Valka's mother.

When Gothi arrived at the house, she found Valka lying down in bed. Gothi prepared her for the birth when Unn and Mrs. Jorgenson walked in.

"How are you doing darling?" Mrs. Jorgenson asked standing on the side of the bed.

"I'm scared mom; I can't have the baby now!" Valka cried feeling another pain in her lower abdomen.

"I know, but you can do this." She said brushing Valka's hair way from her face. Valka smiled at her mother, but the silence was interrupted when Gothi stomped her staff on the floor. Gothi gestured to the expecting mother and took her place at the end of the bed.

"Okay Valka, this child is coming faster than we thought. We're going to need you to push soon." Unn explained as she placed her hand under Valka's knee and another hand on top. Valka gave her a nod, and then another pain shot threw her.

~oOo~

"What? Now?"

"Yes, Unn said she see saw the water." Spitelout explained to the chief.

"How can that be?"

"I don't know! I don't understand these kinds of things!" he shouted making his son whimper.

"Okay, let's just get to the house." Stoick suggested as the two ran off.

Gobber saw the men running pass them, he didn't think of it until he heard them yelling. "Gobber! Come on!"

The blacksmith turned around and shouted "what's going on?!"

"It's Valka, she's having the baby!" Stoick shouted and kept running. Gobber froze in place trying to replay what he just heard.

"Oh no," Gobber breathed and he followed the two men. Gobber called out to Shoutlout and told him what he found out. The father followed and waited with the others. While they were waiting, they heard a scream coming from inside. Stoick started to pace by the door and bit his lip. Gobber put a hand on his friend's shoulder to get his attention. "Don't worry, Valka's a strong woman."

~oOo~

Valka fell on her back after making her first push. Her mother let go of her leg and pulled Valka up by her arms. "I can't do this mom," Valka whined feeing the beads of sweat on her hair line.

"Oh I know baby, it's painful, but we need you to push."

"Not that! I can't do this because the child might not survive!"

Mrs. Jorgenson put a hand behind her daughter's head and grabbed her hand. "Listen to me, you are going to have this baby and it will scream of life like any other child. You are going to bond with this child, you are going to watch this child grow, and you are going to watch this child be a leader. That's only going to happen if you have the confidence of this new coming life."

Valka nodded trying to keep her eyes open. "Okay, okay I will," she panted.

"As much as this moment is touching, can we have it later because we have a baby that needs to be born?!" Unn ordered, Mrs. Jorgenson rolled her eyes then grabbed Valka's leg. Unn commanded Valka to push and she did so. "Come on Valka, I can see the head!" Valka took another deep breath and pushed.

The next thing the women heard what was music to Valka ears. The new mother laughed with tear filled eyes hearing the first screams of her child. Valka rested her head on the pillow behind her and covered her face with her hands as she laughed. She felt someone pat her shoulder then she uncovered her face.

"You have a son," Mrs. Jorgenson congratulated with a smile.

"Oh my gods," Valka whispered as she watched her son being washed up. She heard him scream louder when Gothi touched him with the wet rag. Once he was cleaned up, Gothi wrapped him up and handed the child to Valka. The new mother admired her son even threw his cries. She held her child to her chest and kissed the top of his fuzzy head.

Mrs. Jorgenson put a blanket over Valka's legs when Unn let Stoick in. Valka beamed at her husband before telling him the news. "We have a son." The Chief smiled as he walked to the bed that held his wife and child. Stoick smiled and took a seat next to his wife. Valka handed him their whimpering son in his large hands. Stoick stared in awe at his child.

The crying baby started to calm down and stretched out his fingers to feel the blanket. While the new parents were admiring their son, Gothi stepped out of the house to talk to Gobber. She started to write in the dirt by the house for him to translate. Gobber read the drawings and shook his head. "No, I can't tell them that. It will crush them." Gothi wrote again only to make him rebel more.

"Gothi I can't tell them this! Not right now!" The elder let out a sigh and wrote again. "Okay, okay I get it. I just don't want to do it." Gothi nodded in agreement, but let him in. when Gobber walked in, he saw the new member of the Haddock family.

The child was smaller than the other babes he'd seen. He was breathing heavily in his mother's arms as he slept. Gobber felt butterflies in his stomach seeing the new child. He couldn't tell them this, how could he seeing his best friends with their son? The Blacksmith finally took a deep breath and cleared his throat.

"Excuse me ladies, but c-can you please step out," He stuttered as he looked down at the floor. Unn and Mrs. Jorgenson looked at each other then stepped out of the house.

"What's going on Gobber?" Valka asked watching her friend trying to avoid eye contact.

"I uh…..Gothi told me something that I really don't want to say, but I have to." He gulped feeling a lump in his throat forming. Gobber took another breath and spoke softly, "Gothi doesn't think the child will make the week."

"What?" Stoick stood up from the bed and slowly walked towards his friend. Valka looked down at her son and saw it. He was a small child; no child survived an early birth. He had a high risk of dying for being born almost a month early. She then started to notice he was breathing deep shallow breaths as he slept.

"Oh gods," she whispered slowly rising her hand to her mouth. Stoick turned to this wife seeing her staring into space, and her shoulders were shaking as he heard the whimpers through her hand. Stoick went back to her and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"No, we will not lose this one!" he sworn pointing a finger to his son.

"But, Stoick-"

"No!" he interrupted Gobber. "Now you tell Gothi that she is wrong. My son will survive, he's a Haddock."

"I don't think she'll listen."

"Then make her," Stoick growled. Gobber nodded and walked away, he apologized about the news and walked out of the house. When he shut the door, he saw the rest of the family staring at him.

"I'm sorry guys, but I don't think they want company right now."

~oOo~

"I don't believe this, I can't lose another child!" Valka cried making her son jump from her tone.

"Val, calm down. You're scaring him." he muttered taking the whimpering child in his hands.

"He's going to die, and with winter on its way, how will he stay warm?" she whined before burying her face in her hands.

"Our son will survive, he's a strong one. Besides, I got everything ready for the winter." He stated looking at his child. What he did next was something she didn't expect. She saw him raise their son's face to his and started to gently blow by his nose and mouth.

"What are you doing?" Valka asked seeing her son shake from the cold.

"I saw my mother do this when I was a boy. My father had to go to a chief meeting and wanted mother and I to go with him. A woman there had a child who wasn't breathing correctly, my mother took the baby and just started to blow in his face, the child lived."

"Just by blowing in its face?"

"Yes," he answered before blowing in his son's face again.

"But, what if he-"

"Trust me Val," he whispered giving her a small smile. "He'll be the third one."

"The third of what?"

"The third hiccup of my blood line. He'll be Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III; he'll be the strongest of them all."

A/N: By the way, my teacher told us the story when his mother was born in a barn premature. His great grandmother blew in the child's face to help expand her lungs so she could survive. That's where I got that idea from if anyone was wondering.

Also, I just started to write chapter 38 last night. I hope to finish it today and upload it tomorrow night, or on Sunday. So I'll see you guys later, bye!
